Ordered my boss katana amp off of reverb from the shop. No issues whatsoever and the shipping was quick. Overall would order from again
Very friendly and easy to work with and very honest family business
I bought a Cordoba GK Studio limited Flamenco guitar and very happy
Thanks for your service.
Did a great job restringing my classical guitar
Used them for repair for violin bow. Had some issues with the repair but most importantly they made good and left me better off than when I first went over there. Will definitely use for repair work again.
1. Excellent and professional staff (Mr. Chang and Mr. Lee)
I ordered the digital piano here. The staff is knowledgeable and professional. They are normally very busy, so maybe sometimes you will finds them “rude”. But they arrange everything for you and care for your needs. If you pay cash, the price will be cheaper than the Amazon price or listed price.
2. Guitar & Ukulele lesson.
I took four Ukulele lesson here. The teacher is Adam, he is guitar genius and could draft new songs based on your interest.
3. Pay attention to the front desk
The only drawback is the front desk. I paid my tuition and scheduled the lessons a week before. But when I went to the class, they told me I did not schedule any class and could not find my records:( They finally re-schedule the class for me. Just FYI, please call before you go and make sure the front desk schedule everything accurately. There are other comments regarding the front desk attitude and service, maybe the business owner could train them how to deal with the customers.
To sum up, if you are looking for professional music lessons or services, here is right place. Be caution to the forgetful reception girls:)
way expensive you can find exactly the same brand and size with half prices!
They don’t care about music…just want to sell what is more expensive not what you need!
They care about collecting more money!
Be careful with their business. Good on surface when you do not have a problem. Once you have a issue/dispute, they will show their true skin.
I have a rental instrument, I have not picked up the order yet. I would like to cancel rental service and get the refund. They deny the refund by all means even the order has not been picked up. The 9 month rental money was up-held and NO-refundable regardless. The contract is ambiguous. Under “Termination” section, it states I can terminate the rental agreement without penalty. BUT the contract did not tell me the fact that the store gives me NO refund at all even couple days later I want to cancel the rental service and want to get my money back. Remarkably, I have not picked up the rental instrument or used it neither. Once rental contract is signed, they take my money deposited and offers no cancellation/refund at all. I am going to appeal to Department of Consumer Affairs (DCA) – State of California regarding to unfair contract to customers.
I was trying to see if my kids are interested in music so I took them to yamaha music center. they were nice before they sign you up but after they get all the fees they show their true color.the place is grimmy and the management terrible. I’m not happy and I’ll be looking or a new place.
The school is very disorganized and wasted 30 minutes of my time. They told us to wait for previous class to finish, and after we waited for 30 minutes, they let someone else go to the class. I came back early from office and this behavior is totally unacceptable. We are not returning to this place after this horrible experience.
This music studio is very disorganized and doesn’t run their business properly.
4. Vienna Music Institute and Shop
Address: 600 Roosevelt 200 2nd Floor, Irvine, CA 92620 , Irvine , California , United States
I brought my daughter’s viola from Joe at the Vienna Music Shop. We used rental program when she start the lesson. After 6 months, I purchased her own viola. Because they have good promotion programs. The teacher is very nice and professional. Joe has acknowledge and is professional. Also He spends a lot of time making fine adjustments to the instruments. And he always help’s to fix our instruments quickly. We will continue her lesson in the Vienna school! Thank you, Joe.
It is the best music school in Irvine. You can learn many kinds of musical instruments, and you can take a 1:1 class with high-quality teachers. Regular recitals and master classes are really helpful.
There is an instrument shop, too. So it is convenient to try several instruments and purchase them. Good instruments are available, so I bought my son’s violin and he uses it very well.
I purchased my violin at Vienna last year. The shop is place to go for service for your instrument. The owner Joe is the most knowledgeable person I know and willing to help anything that comes up. I would definitely recommend anyone looking to repair or purchase a string instrument!!
5. Music House | Melody’s School Music
Address: 600 Roosevelt, Irvine, CA 92620 , Irvine , California , United States
My 4-year old is in the Intro Piano group class and loves it. She looks forward to going to class and seeing her friends every week. The facility is very clean, accommodating and everyone is very helpful.
I had such a great experience coming to WePlay music! it has this great environment for learning, the staff was helpful and friendly, but most of all the teachers were all exceptionally talented! I definitely recommend checking the studio out if you’re looking to learn an instrument. They even offer free assessment classes to try out!
Such a great neat music school. Teachers here are professional and patient. The whole atmosphere is very uplifting. Love this school. Already recommended it to friends and they all love it!
7. Keithley Instruments Inc

My 5 year old daughter takes violin lessons with Lydia, and she loves taking lessons with her! Lydia is an absolutely wonderful violin teacher!!! She really knows how to keep my daughter engaged and the lessons fun and entertaining for a 5 year old. I wanted my daughter to learn to love music and love playing violin, and Lydia does a fantastic job of inspiring my daughter while teaching proper violin technique and music theory. Highly recommend this school and Lydia!!!
Update: 3/1/’18: Lydia’s guidance helped my daughter improve so much, that she auditioned for the IUSD elementary honor orchastra and she made it as a member of the orchestra for April 2018. Thank you Lydia and Feliks!!!!
“Lydia is amazing”. My daughter started playing the Viola in the IUSD strings program and her skill and technique have vastly improved over the past five months with the guidance of her instructor. Lydia is a very patient and encouraging teacher. She could immediately identify my daughter’s weaknesses and began to train her to overcome them and she continuously inspires my daughter to feel more confident in her ability to play. This is a great music school and the strings director, Feliks, is also a very supportive and nurturing as well.
Irina Kulikova is an excellent guitar teacher. She is a master of left and right hand technique for classical guitar playing and studying with her has helped to improve my technique. She brings her many years of experience and expertise to each lesson. I highly recommend her to anyone that is interested in studying classical guitar.
We had a very negative experience with this teacher. We entrusted that they will monitor and work on improving the skills of our kids but instead it was lesson after lesson with no evaluation , no progress and no active role to even address the lack of progress. We made a big mistake by entrusting them, we should have listened to our kids complaining from the start about the lack of progress, and even interest in making them better or discussing the subject with the parents. Very disappointing.

I come around this area all the time and I finally saw there was a music school here. I was extremely excited and very pleased with the service that I received. I will be looking forward to doing more business place in the future. It’s a great place to get started in music!
My daughter and I go to the piano and guitar lessons in Irvine Academy of Music, we love this place! Teachers are great, very professional and really know their job. My daughter had several years of piano lessons experience at different places, and Irvine Academy is the right place to continue music education. It’s also perfect place to start learning new instrument, I‘ve began playing guitar olny two months ago and I love it.
I would recommend Irvine Academy of Music to kids and adults!
Came into this music store and found guitar stands at a great price. There are various other instruments and accessories for sale as well as professional music lessons.
I don’t want to give even 1 star. They kept changing a instructor about 3 times in 3 month and they didn’t even notify me they got a sub teacher who didn’t play a flute. This completely fooled me.
I bought a flute at first $400. It was repaired one and it has still problem. I realized our new instructor couldn’t even make a sound. She said it’s not worth $400 even if it fixes. I told them to resell it but they refused. I will put this review on my community and never recommend this center. They think parents and our money are dumb!

Very friendly salesman/guard, and some amazing guitars … lots to choose from, including nylon string “Spanish” guitars, steel string folk/country guitars, mandolins, bass guitars, jazz guitars, violins, and strings, cable plugs … all at surprisingly affordable prices!
13. Okkyum Kim violin studio
Address: 192 Technology Dr suite u, Irvine, CA 92618 , Irvine , California , United States
Okkyum saved the day when he was able to repair my daughter’s cello with in time for her school concert. Her cello left in better shape than ever after his workmanship. He is a true professional and takes great care in his work. If you have not been to his shop, you are missing out on a beautiful musical and artistic space here in Irvine. Thank you, Okkyum!
I rented a cello last fall but i was having all these problems with it. Had a friend who is a string musician look at it and immediately he pointed out all the issues of the cello bc it wasn’t set up properly. And it made sense why my experience wasn’t so great. So I purchased a student cello so I can modify it. This brand claimed that it was handmade and inspected by a luthier. Terrible, it looked just like my rental cello and it had the same issues as my rental cello. Mr Kim fixed the issues he found for me. Also you can check out his handmade instruments in his shop and certainly mine pales in comparison. If I ever get good enough and deserving of a handmade cello, I’ll have to get one here.
Mr. Kim is an excellent professional violin maker. We love his violin and he is always kind and honest. I am happy he is in Orange County. I strongly recommend him.
Not a big selection. Still very nicely presented though, and the man was very nice and accommodating.
14. Quilter Laboratories LLC
Address: 1791 Reynolds Ave, Irvine, CA 92614 , Irvine , California , United States
I got myself a Quilter micro block 45 and feed it with my guitar sound through a Digitech rp 1000. The Quilter responds in such a nice way… I love the sound and get a lot of good feedback for when playing on sessions. Great compagny…
Great customer service
I’ve played about 200 shows with my Tone Block 201 thru a couple of different Marshall cabinets and it’s amazing. I just ordered a Blockdock 12 for smaller venues. I bought 4 USA 850 from them for PA in 1992 and although they’ve been relegated to the rehearsal room due to weight, they all still work like new! I’ve relied on quilter products for 28 years and they’ve never failed me!!
15. QDString. Inc.
Address: 5400 Trabuco Rd Suite 120, Irvine, CA 92620 , Irvine , California , United States
My son participated in WePlay Music’s Piano Master Class by Dr. Josh Vigran. We were absolutely amazed at the deep level of analysis and evaluation of his performance. I’d love to list a lot here but I know that wont be able to provide justice to this gift of instructions he was able to obtain in this Master Class =) The professionalism, authenticity and the thoughtful ways and quality of the scrutiny of the play was truly astonishing. The ability to explain the issues, impart what the “essence” that the composer was trying to convey and to guide him to correct/adjust the techniques on the spot was mind blowing. I know that his play would greatly improve and can get to the next level incorporating just some of these recommendations.
Truly grateful and appreciative of WePlay Musics work and special thanks to Dr. Vigran for all the instructions.
A good music school. Affiliated with the Royal Conservatory of Music, a Canadian music education program of very high quality. Very nice people.
Good, not great. Tip: Just because someone plays an instrument well, it doesn’t mean they will be successful at teaching others. Many of their staff are performers first and teachers second, and it shows in the quality of instruction.
19. Irvine School of Music
Address: 15415 Jeffrey Rd # 202, Irvine, CA 92618 , Irvine , California , United States
Excellent school for learning musical instruments for kids.
Teachers are really good and knowledgable. Teaching pattern is great.
Kids get a lot of motivation to go and perform at their music concerts for kids and parents.
My kid’s teacher Miss Shadi is really awesome and gives a lot of personal attention to kids. Definitely seeing more engagement and improvements in my kids piano lessons.
I love Irvine School of Music! It is such a great place to take piano lessons and their early childhood music program! Highly recommend!
awesome
My son started with ISM back in 2015 and is now on his RCM level 8 Piano. The teachers that he has had during the course of his studies and currently have now have been superb and helped him shape his musicality. For those parents who are looking for a good music school for their children I recommend enrolling them to ISM.
We had wonderful guitar classes for my son. Teacher was awesome.
Not good experience. They need to improve the management and communication.
The two girls I nanny were taking violin and piano lessons, respectively. I signed them up for regular weekly lessons, the same day and time every week, to fit in with our other schedules. After two weeks they called and told me they had changed the lesson times to Monday and Fridays at 8pm. Without any consultation, just changed them. This didn’t work and when I called to reschedule it was like pulling teeth! Finally we just decided to finish out the month of lessons that had been payed for, and not schedule any further lessons here. At our last lesson the instructor was a no-show and we had to reschedule for another day. At the makeup lesson the instructor was a no-show AGAIN and we had to wait half an hour for them to show up.
If you’re fine with a casual disregard for scheduling or employee responsibly, go ahead and take lessons. I’m sure others have had perfectly fine experiences with the music school, as is evident by the positive reviews. However, I am beyond frustrated with my experience.
They will ask for your credit card information by phone or …
There is no other option to pay like in the personal Pos, Venmo, Paypal, Zelle or …
THEY WILL BREAK YOUR PRIVACY.
I was here 10/16 for their Kids Music Day event and I had made consultation for at least a month in advance and the lady was rude. She asked my 7 year old daughter what her name was and she responded in which the lady didn’t even look at the list and said sorry you’re not on the list and when I said are you sure because I have a confirmation and she said you can talk to him to another guy which he was kind enough to say you can have a seat and wait for anyone who doesn’t show up for their time and then you can go. Not being racist or anything but the way the lady responded was not appreciated she look like Chinese and we are Hispanics, probably thought I was there for the free music lesson in which I was ready to sign up my daughter to play the piano but decided not to because she got discourage. These people know nothing about customer service. Anyways, I might not be the only person who can pay for classes because they have more students but you just lost a very long last customer here. You should re-train certain people on their customer service skills, especially since you work around kids. So disgusted with this schools first impression.
