Had a great time chatting with Luke Metcalf, the owner, found a beautiful VG+ Maggot Brain on Janus Records. Before he prepared a mailer to ship my goods, he called round the corner to his Imperial Bar to have some burgers ready for me and the Mrs. Akin to walking into a Jack London novel reinterpreted by William Gibson whilst entirely in the grip of wrist watch addiction.
There’s a lot I could say, but I’ll keep it sweet and to the point. This place is a gem. I looked up record stores before sailing into town on a cruise, and it did not disappoint. I admit I was skeptical at first. I’m a jazz head, and this being Alaska, I didn’t know what to expect. When I walked in, I was blown away. Their jazz section is insane. Best of all, the place is run by the nicest and most-knowledgable people ever. If you’re visiting Juneau and you’re a record collector (any genre), stop by here. Dope store, dope records, and dope owners.
The coolest place to fill your soul with music and good vibes.
Don’t bother checking this place out. In the few times I’ve gone they’ve been closed with no explanation. Pathetic.

Good friendly music store. Love Leo and the work that he does doing guitar setup.
Knowledgeable staff and good prices. They also do great guitar set ups and instrument repairs.
I’ve purchased three guitars here over the span of 8 years and every time I’ve gone it’s been a pleasure to consult the staff and try out the guitars. For all of Juneau’s musical needs.
Great selection of instruments and a knowledgeable, friendly staff.
Was actually at hi fi store.
Stopped in and pick on guitars for a while, friendly atmosphere.
Sexist, rude, and over priced.
