Buying from the online shop was fast and easy. My fragile item was shipped quickly and packed well. The item was photographed and represented correctly.
I called to verify the item and spoke to the owner, George himself. He was very knowledgeable and down to earth, a good person. I hope to do business again.
So excited to start learning how to play!
George’s music was very clean and has a good stock of the necessities for any instrument.
If you’re not looking to go too far to get musical instruments. Look no further. Expensive though. But if you don’t care about prices, go for it. Not much of a selection though.
Nice shop
Meh
This place is just awful. The owner is so rude to us that i will never go back. We rented an instrument from him because our normal music store didnt have the instrument and when the instrument broke he said it was our fault and that it wasnt covered and then bad mouthed our local music store.
After going to this place; I must say I will never go back there again. The owner is so rude and disrespectful. Its not even funny. The owner needs get off his anthropocentric state of mind.
2. Bethel Music Center – Instrument Sales, Rentals, Lessons and Repairs
Address: 273 Greenwood Ave #101, Bethel, CT 06801 , la Vall d’Hebron , Connecticut , United States
My boyfriend plays drums and needed drumheads and sticks. Went there for the first time and was highly impressed by their selection of products and how you could try instruments in the store. I do not play, however my boyfriend was able to show me some basic drumming techniques on store sets. Helpful, but not pushy, staff. Highly recommend to any musician.
Excelente lugar para comprar todo lo referente a guitarras además de electrónica, percusión y pianos. Excelente atención y cuentan con personal calificado y bilingüe!!
Great place, no pressure, you can play as long as you want
One stop for all audio cables and audio supplies.
Nice professionals.
My initial visit showed me that this store serves more than the guitarist; other musicians are served with instrument, sheet music and instruction(sound-proof room).
All kinds of accessories, shirts, records, and loud speakers/amplifiers.
The helpful staff guided me in getting a gift. A positive experience in this store.
It is a large store with a wide variety of instruments, but very few staff.
Completely useless for information and they don’t take care with their floor guitars, most are filthy, set-up horrible, and even found one epiphone I was looking at didn’t have the hardware epiphone provides them with so it was obviously swapped(bridge for a hardtail on a guitar with an original bigsby which should have rollers). I also had $1000 cash in my pocket ready to buy a guitar and I brought a 2 year old amp that was $500+ new to trade and they offered me $60 which is less than the value of the footswitch I had with the amp. I told myself the last time I walked in there that I wouldn’t come back gave them a second chance and now will officially never step foot in guitar center again.
I came for several purchases; First, to get strings and have them replaced on my flamenco guitar. The first guitar rep didn’t know the difference between flamenco strings and classical strings. He had no clue what to suggest. O.k., never mind, I can always order them online and bring the guitar back. So, then over to the guitar tech. He insisted that the guitar, one that I just bought from Guitar Center 6 months ago needed $80 of repair and maintenance. Oh, REALLY??? Just for strings? Strike two. Over to the acoustic guitar room, the put all the quality guitars way the heck over your head and out of reach, leaving only cheap, beginner guitars within reach to play. The guitar rep there was kind enough to say “excuse me” twice when he went by me, but never cared to assist. -third strike for the store. Finally, I went over to check on the P.A. system I’ve been eyeballing since June. I was happy to see it was marked down $300 since summer, but again… NO ASSISTANCE from the rep. You know what? I’m not even going to look at the studio mic and studio speakers. I made my exit without any notice of the staff, except the girl paid to greet people at the entrance.
This has been the typical service I’ve received from all locations. I ordered all my equipment online with another company, and find it very VERY UNLIKELY I’ll ever invest in Guitar Center again.
Customer service is nonexistent. Came in with my boyfriend to pick up an order that was placed online and was to arrive at the store within 5 days. Associates said that an email would be sent when the order arrived at the store. Two weeks later, no email is sent so we track the package and come to find that the package was delivered a week ago. We arrive at the store and wait at the service desk that says “Online Order Pick-Up” for a while. 10 minutes later, we are redirected to another part of the store. Why would there be a specific part of the store for online order pick ups when it isn’t used?? We wait for another 15-20 minutes while one salesperson is standing around not helping a customer. Finally, someone helps us and all we had to do was a sign a piece of paper and leave with the product. We spent about 30 minutes waiting to sign a piece of paper and pick up something we already paid for. It sucked.

Address: 473 Washington Ave, North Haven, CT 06473 , la Vall d’Hebron , Connecticut , United States
Very friendly and helpful staff. Both of my sons have been taking lessons here since Sept. 2016 and have thrived with patient and attentive instructors. Thank you!
I really enjoy being part of the Music Center of North Haven. Mark, his wife, and the staff are very friendly and accommodating. They make you feel like you are part of a family.
My kids enjoy their piano teachers
Great instructors. Great atmosphere.
First experience here, but guy greeted me immediately and helped me pick out a capo. Nice feature to have a cafe inside.
Great place to get music!!
UPDATE: To clarify, the small bag of “trash” was a small bag of shirts and pants that were out grown and not trash which the owner stated several times and now denies. He also forgets that I was sitting there in my car for several minutes trying to figure out what the poorly sprayed wording actually stated or if it was just covering up something and i even took out the clothes in the bag and showed it to him but he didn’t care and continued to argue with me. Again, I had donated to this location before it was deemed abandoned and was accused repeatedly to get my trash out of there. I did go down the street and donated the clothes to Goodwill. The issue I have is how the owner handled the situation and the accusations that were thrown at me even when confronted with the proof that they were wrong and I was clearly trying to donate a small amount of clothes and left when asked. Move this very prominent former donation bin to the back our your lot or put a proper sign up, chain close the handle or just politely tell someone its closed.
This music center used to have a clothing donation bin out front which I have donated to many times before. It has since been painted over with illegible spray paint saying bin closed. I was standing by the bin trying to figure out what the writing said and employee came out and screamed at me to take my trash somewhere else and was extremely rude shouting at me like I was doing something illegal. He told me to bring my trash to Goodwill. Would never bring my kids here for their music needs with staff like this.
I came in for my introductory ukulele lesson. The place was a mess. The chair I was told to sit on had metal pieces sticking out the side. The AC was not on. The instructor informed me he had been playing uke for about 3 years. I was charged $50 and it was the biggest waste of money. I was highly disappointed.
Guitar tech could not look at my guitar because he busy making egg sandwiches.
5. Windsor Music Centre

I went into this store this week. Sal, the owner is one of the one puff the midst pleasant people I’ve ever met. Great music store.
We had them repair/resurrect an old flute for us. Great work at a great price. I recommend the business to all.
Great guys my son is just starting to learn how to play instruments his friend damaged his brass and they where able to take care of everything and had it back the next day in time for him to have it at school for music class
Nice guy and great service so far!
It’s okay.
Not bad.
terrible repairment
Rented a violin during 2012/2013 school year. Throughout the school year violin needed numerous repairs, therefore, I did not rent from them the following school year. Low and behold as reviewing my bank statements I noted a monthly charge from them. Upon calling and speaking with “Joe” I was told that even though the violin was never returned to me after the last repair, I did not officially return the violin. and the charges can not be or won’t be refunded. Duly note that the violin is and has been with them since June of 2013 and the owner acknowledged this fact. I now know why they were not listed as a rental place by the school system. I would never buy from them again or refer any business their way.
