Great local shop with a good selection of instruments and knowledgeable staff. Repair shop is fairly priced and does quality work.
Everyone is super knowledgeable and friendly. Way better than a guitar center. Great service too!
A had a brief visit with a noted professional guitarist friend who was picking up his finely tuned Martin. You can tell the people here care and are musicians and artists first.
If it had a little more available customer service, it would be one of the great guitar stores in SoCal. Awesome acoustic selection though. From VERY high end to boutique to working class Taylor and Martin, Guild and Gibson. But also offer well made economy minded guitars that sound great but won’t take your first born as down payment. Very good electric department as well.
Mark is the Bomb… He is The Guitar Mang!
If you’re looking for even half decent customer service, you’re better off looking elsewhere. Extremely rude, no consideration whatsoever for the customer. Will never come back again.
Not that appealing
I’ve brought two guitars here for setup, and I won’t ever be back. Both guitars we’re returned to me in worse shape than when I dropped them off. The string action is higher, the neck relief is nearly out of spec, and it didn’t look like intonation had even been attempted. In one case, a fret leveling was done. While the worst spots were taken down, there are still plenty of uneven frets– and it didn’t help to get the strings even fractionally lower. I strongly recommend looking elsewhere for guitar setups. Incredibly disappointing experience.

Had the best experience here. Wave and the store added something special to my Ohanafest weekend. Will be a must visit every Ohanafest weekend. Looking forward to next year
Awesome store- it’s one of the few unique gems of Laguna Beach that brings back the old school psychedelic vibe of how the town used to be. Definitely stop by this spot.
Cool place. The owner is very knowledgeable in classic rock memorabilia.
It’s nice there is a separate section for used and new vinyls, but most of the used are overpriced and not in good condition. There are some really awesome band shirts in the back though.
Very cool place! Brought back lots of musical memories.
This place is so sickk. They have great records and all my favorite old bands. They also have the most hippest things their. The people who work there are sweet hearts.
Good selection, but expect to over pay. When I went, they had doubles of vinyl below, so I looked there first expecting lower prices. But and album I expected to be around $5 or less came out to be $14, the same as one in mint condition. And this was worth around $3. Cover ripped, scratches on record. Kind of killed the fun of finding a record you really like. And not to mention this was on record store day, no deals… This place sucks

I have been getting to know Tommy at DG for a few years now and have been impressed with his knowledge and dedication to the study of these unique guitars.
Tommy always sends excellent products in a timely manner and is happy to discuss any topic or questions with a genuine desire to help each musician achieve what they are searching for.
I recently brought a guitar to Tommy for set-up work and he was able to diagnose problems I’ve been having with several guitars in the matter of 2 minutes! I had taken my other guitar to multiples luthiers and guitar techs and they weren’t able to fix a problem I was having with a creaky string, Tommy fixed the problem in the matter of minutes. He has an eye for the guitars and is simply a great go to for anything related to this genre. I highly recommend Django Guitar store!
Tommy also fitted my axe out with a custom bridge that not only enhanced the sound and feel of my guitar, but also gave it a nice vintage look.
The kid has skills, and a bright future.
I had a fantastic experience buying a guitar from Django Guitars. I’d recommend buying here wholeheartedly and if I want to buy another guitar in the future, this will be the first and foremost place I’d turn to.
Being new to Gypsy Jazz, I didn’t really know what to look for – Tommy the owner spent hours with me in his workshop and let me try all sorts of guitars, from the most affordable to the very expensive vintage ones. It really helped me to find one that was right for me. Tommy even played some of them for me so I could listen to how they sound like “on the other side”, being played by someone who can play this style really well. He is also extremely knowledgeable about guitar making, and was at all times willing to explain differences in how these guitars are designed and what details to consider. All his advice was neutral and honest, sincerely trying to find what’ll best work for me. Since he is an expert guitar technician, he will also setup the guitar perfectly for you and can do work like installing a pickup system on the spot.
Tommy recently did some fantastic work on my thijs van Der harst guitar. I was really impressed with the result. The fretwork was top notch and he even had an original bridge to fit on the guitar. His level of expertise is unmatched. If you need work done on one of these guitars, go to Tommy!

I am 63 and always dreamed of playing the piano but never thought I can. I tried two teachers, who were good but just not the right match for me. A year ago I met Shady and gave it one last try.She is patient , knowledgeable and always finds a way for me to understand. Thank you for making my dream come true. You are the best !
Shadi is amazing! She has been teaching my daughter since the age of 5 years old. They are now 11 and 15 years old. Shadi is a wonderful person inside and out. She is wonderful with kids and very patient. So grateful to have her teach my daughters how to play the piano. It is beautiful!
My 8 year old daughter has been taking piano lessons with Shadi for two years now, mostly in-person. We love it! She’s an amazing teacher and very talented! She has a special way with kids that keeps them listening, learning and having fun. We feel so lucky we found her! My daughter gets excited when it’s piano lesson day! Thank you Shadi!

Super easy to work with, and they know their stuff. I’m currently working on recording my band and Frank knows how to get the best work out of 5 people; he honors a cohesive sound while highlighting individual talents.
Cool studio, great rates, great choice!
Love going here to record my VO demos and auditions. MaQui Sainz, my sound technician, is very professional and pays attention to details.
Good equipment, nice and clean

Stephen is a great luthier and a really nice person. 6 His exceptional talent can be had for a very reasonable price. Always did beautiful work on my mandolins, guitars and double bass. He is a great musician as well and fun to play with.
Mr. Davy is honest and conscientious. I showed him my small and thin fingers, he customized my violin and my bow to fit my hands. Now, my bow bounces easily with full tone. My fingers can play double stops easily. I’m very comfortable to play my violin now. Thank you so much Mr. Davy.
Mr Davy has the best sounding violins because he knows how to properly set-up and service a violin. His repair work is beautiful in both violins and bows. We had so many bad experiences with violin shops across the nation. Not so with Mr Davy. Davy violins is the best shop on the greater LA area. No one compares.
