I love these guys. I’ve bought a lot of music items from them over the years. Just to name a few clarinets, trumpet, bass guitar, keyboards, amp, sound reinforcement systems, effects, road gear, recording gear, guitar strings, tuners, and on and on and on. They are very competitive on price and are a joy to deal with. Hang in there Danny. You da man
My son buys all of his music equipment here.
They have a good selection of musical instruments
Good music shop. Most everything you need . Just not the same feel since Danny Moon passed away. Still good folks.
Muy bueno
This place used to be very friendly and musicians dream to come in. Now it’s full of a bunch of butt heads. I Won’t Go Back
Rip off & don’t know measurements for nuts/ saddle’s probably anything just a store that takes suckers for a ride

6. B&C Music
Address: 314C Billy B Dyar Blvd, Boaz, AL 35957 , Leesburg , Alabama , United States
If you are looking to by on the cheap, try larger cities. B&C has incredible service and knowledge. They may have to charge a bit more, but it’s not worth to drive to Nashville to find the quality and service.
They have the best Rico reeds
Very good selection for a small shop, The lady was Very friendly and helpful! They carry a lot of unusual items that you probably won’t find in other stores.
Nice folks
Good site
Over priced. Only good if you need to grab a pack of strings or something small last minute.
Awful place with cheap brands and overpriced / broken used instruments.
this place is burnt!
The people are not friendly, the merchandise is overpriced, some equipment is not even new (and it is damaged) although they don’t disclose that information, and getting around in a wheelchair is next to impossible. The lady at the register didn’t know anything about the equipment. It is definitely worth the drive to go somewhere else.
7. 411 Antiques
Address: 2910 US-411 BUS, Centre, AL 35960 , Leesburg , Alabama , United States
I really enjoyed this place. They have some of everything. I hope to go back when I can spend more time looking around.
GREAT! Booth 23 has everything 50% off and Booth 43 has VERY unique items. Lots to see here.
Have a lot of different things to choose from, kind of pricy though
Vendors’ prices are becoming too high to enjoy stopping in anymore.
Has some really good stuff
Awesome. But a debt card option for purchases is needed!
The store was decently laid out and there were a small amount of interesting or old items. Overall however, the pricing was high and the majority of what they had was garage sale left overs. Surprisingly it was the best of several stores we went to in the area. Oh and cash only.
Would be nice if they had a phone number. No one getting back from Market place
8. Walmart Supercenter
Address: 1950 W Main St, Centre, AL 35960 , Leesburg , Alabama , United States
Great place to shop, but, it’s usually so crowded, I try to stay away
It’s always a good place to shop
It’s walmart!
Found every thing I could think of
My only issue is because I wish the app wouldn’t let you order an item that isnt in stock, so it forces the shopper to make a decision about what I might like in its place, and of course if I had wanted it I would have chose it to begin with. There is the option to not accept the changes but that makes me feel bad that someone chose another item and I’m basically saying they didnt make a good choice.
They are reorganizing the store in Centre, Alabama and it is a mess. Pallets on the sales floor and some isles so narrow 2 people cannot pass.
I am not even going to talk about finding things you buy regularly! What a royal pain finding stuff. I don’t search, I go elsewhere.
Nothing has changed.
Higher prices, even lower quality. Company individuality is GONE. Employee moral and customer service are non existent. Also..would like to hear the answer to that same ole question everyone has ask at least twice…Why do they intall so many checkout lanes when never more than 3 are open at once?
Horrible place all around!!!
9. Art’s Music Shop, Inc
Address: 4647 US-280, Birmingham, AL 35242 , Leesburg , Alabama , United States
Everyone was not only friendly and helpful but extremely knowledgeable too! The person who helped me had a degree in music! (So much more than just a sales clerk.)
Great store with friendly and knowledgeable staff. I always find out something new when I visit. It’s also nice that the employees are gigging musicians in the area. Would recommend.
This is an excellent music shop with any kind of music instrument or sheet music you might be looking for – whether student model or professional level instrument they have it. Recommended
Nice; they’ll order in for u
Good. place to shop for all your. music. needs.
They have good instruments, but when I walked in, I walked straight past about 3 or 4 employees who were unoccupied at the moment and nobody said a word to me. I will never visit or buy from them ever in my life.
If you drop your instrument off for an estimate get it in writing with a signature from the manager that they will not work on it.
I walked in to pick up my trombone from an estimate, started walking out and was told I owed money. For what? I did not authorize anything.
It’s too bad this shop is the only option in Birmingham. Check out Bailey Brothers to see if they have what you need first.
Late or Cello repairs, They had my Cello for 2 days to reset the bridge (takes 15 mins) I had to pick it up and do it my self.
10. Bailey Brothers Music Company
Address: 4673 US-280 Suite # 7, Birmingham, AL 35242 , Leesburg , Alabama , United States
Purchased a Les Paul Bass here years ago– still enjoying it.
Thank you BB Music.
Super friendly and helpful staff.
Had just what I needed and little more.
Good service. Knowledgeable staff. Wish there was one closer to us!
I needed to buy instruments for my Middle School kids. They were very upfront with their prices and seemed to have the best deals.
Usually get good service, but I took my guitar nut to be repaired after my guitar took a spill. I let them know the guitar had fallen and hoped they would fix. The nut was replaced poorly but the guitar had a buzz. Took it back 2 more times. The last visit, the person in charge of the repair (2 weeks later)said I had heavy fingers and raised the stings to a height that made the guitar unplayable. I took to another repair shop and they repaired the nut replaced by Bailey Brothers found a couple of uneven frets repaired the frets adjusted the neck and had to re-setup the guitar from the disaster repair at Bailey Brothers. If in need of repairs I will never return to this store.
Recently brought a used instrument to these guys to be cleaned and conditioned. They charged $230 and I’m not really sure what they did beyond $40 worth of repairing. I even priced the individual parts myself and they cost a total of $23. The instrument was very dirty and they didn’t even do a good or complete job of wiping it down. We didn’t get any paperwork explicitly stating what they were going to do so we can’t really argue the point. The inside of the instrument wasn’t even touched during cleaning because there is obvious dust and grime that was there when we gave it to these guys.
We also bought a mouthpiece for the instrument, I previously priced it at $10 online and it was $35 at this place. An outrageous markup.
All of this was after agreeing to a monthly payment for an instrument only to be informed the day before it was needed that they didn’t have any in stock so we had to scramble to find a different option. Because of this, they also didn’t send us a cleaning kit for the instrument that had been fully paid for.
I will be looking for another place for any other instrument needs.
manager and owner very racist!
Don’t answer the phone
11. Redneck Resell Thrift Shop
Address: 804 W Main St, Centre, AL 35960 , Leesburg , Alabama , United States
Awesome place to shop, for great merchandise and prices are great too. The owners, Colton and Kourtney, are awesome people.
Very impressed with the store and the lady who I had been talking to that works there is very very friendly and helpful. I most definitely will be doing more business with them. She went out and beyond to help me.
Not a good selection and overcrowded with less than desirable items. Sorry, but I wasn’t impressed.
12. Leesburg
Address: Alabama 35983 , Leesburg , Alabama , United States
It took 20 minutes to get out food. And everything was cold and chicken was over cooked.
Love the food and service
I am a regular and I don’t appreciate a worker of this place talking to me like I’m a child. Workers here need to be mindful and understand that you cannot treat people this way and you don’t know a person’s mental health.
Waited 40 minutes for two combos and a corn dog. After asking how much longer it would be they brought combos out and forgot the corn dog and also gave a sweet tea instead of a coke.
It would be nice if this sonic location was even tolerable, but its not. Bad service and usually gets the order wrong.
15. Antiques & Things
Address: 601 W Main St, Centre, AL 35960 , Leesburg , Alabama , United States
Greatest antique store around. They actually have antiques that are worth buying and not just a bunch of cheap furniture from the 80’s painted a shabby chic white. The owners are lovely people and always helpful.
One of my favorite stores!
Lots to choose from good quality items. Very friendly and helpful
Great place
Lots of good finds.
The people running this place are so unfriendly and rude they suspect everyone is there to steal from them oh and their bathrooms don’t work (unless you work there) but we found a sale on some cute vases though.
16. Homewood Musical Instrument Co
Address: 1712 28th Ave S, Homewood, AL 35209 , Leesburg , Alabama , United States
Friendly people who really enjoy working with stringed instruments.
Amazing people amazing shop. I got a master class in old fashioned linen collars as a bonus.
Good product, Good service.
Friendly atmosphere and lots of instruments.
I’ve never dealt with someone so rude over the phone. The owner tried to guilt me with sarcasm and acted like victim when I questioned a price. Full story: I asked to order a cello string. All was going well (owner answered questions about speed of shipping and availability of the string), but then he quoted a price ($81) that was far above what other shops charge. I said respectfully that “I’ve purchased the string for $45 at other walk-in shops” and he became sarcastic and argumentative with me, claiming he was “holding my hand” through the process, and said “Well, I have to pay $35 for this string so what do YOU think is fair for ME to make? $15? What is 35 + 15, huh? Ohhh, maybe $50 is more than you can afford?” A simple, “well this is my price” would have been fine as a response from him, but I felt disrespected so I hung up and decided I’m never going to spend a dime Homewood Musical Instrument Co. I advise everyone else to steer clear of this shop and the guy who owns it.
17. Redbox
Address: 1950 W Main St, Centre, AL 35960 , Leesburg , Alabama , United States
Please tell me why you can’t get the fish sandwich on the tartar sauce on the bun half way straight??? Love their pies!
Some confusion related to our order. Normally pretty decent service for the most part.
French fries suck any more at McDonalds
I ordered curbside. I sat for 23 minutes and finally went inside. My food was sitting on the counter cold. It didn’t look short staffed but anything is possible. Definitely not my best experience.
Always wrong
Worst frappe ever ordered Xtra Caramel. I was told they couldn’t put it all over the sides anymore too many complaints. Very disappointed that was the best part. 10 out of 10 don’t recommend.

Great finds and great people. Recommend a trip if you love Antiques.
Lots of unique items to buy
Many dealers.
Terrific selection! I go to A LOT of antique stores and found things here I haven’t ever seen in other stores. Customer service was very polite and helpful!
Antiques of Centre is now Harris Antiques & Furniture, owned and operated by Mr. & Mrs. Don Harris. I believe they purchased the business about 2 years ago. I went in last month for my first time since the new ownership and Mr. Harris was so friendly and welcoming! If you are looking for a unique piece of antique furniture, this is definitely the place to go! I feel like some of the prices are a little high for the market in the area, but then again the pieces are truly unique and beautiful. I look forward to going back soon to have another look around.
Some of the ruddiest people I have ever encountered. I accidentally looked at a tag wrong. Thinking a small chair was $5 on a chair. When I got to the counter I told the lady I didn’t want it. She looked and said very snotty “how could you miss that”. Rude!!!! I know what I will miss the next time I’m in this area – their store.
The rudest people I have ever had the misfortune of interacting with. Go anywhere else.
The lady that owns this store is crazy and acts like everyone is stealing from her. Save your time and money. What a creep.
