Nice atmosphere and live music. Experienced some good old blues! Beer and wine bar.
I love the energy and ambience of this place. The owners Rock in every way possible. Come hang out. If your into music, peace, and people, this is a great place to visit.

4. Lewiston
Address: Trinity Dam Blvd, Lewiston, CA 96052 , Lewiston , California , United States
Beautiful location. Good spot to stop with the family or dogs.
The hospitality of the owners and neighbors at this park will win you over. Ryan (new owner) offering help at every opportunity. Craig and Mary just fantastic ambassadors of the community. Grassy sites, good hook ups, great laundry/showers/bathrooms. Wifi is “video good”. AT&T cell tower right above the park. Perfect location to work, explore, hunt, fish. We put our kayak in at Old Lewiston Bridge, walking distance, kayaked down to Bucktail Hole, a perfect 3 hour paddle. Lewiston lake, North side, is a must paddle. Beautiful destination vacation spot.
This was a Beautiful Day. THANKS
Nice quiet small rv park. Full time residents too
Very quiet. All back in rv spots. Lower area for walking dogs. Deer roaming around. Clean restrooms.
ADDENDUM to my review of 5/5. After being here from May 7 to June 7…there definitely is a change with the new owner. I have been here every year for over 24 years as well as our RV club has been here as a group for an annual event every year. I love this park, location, the residents keep it tidy are friendly and work on keeping the park neat. I have witnessed rv’ers been talked to with scorn and some told never to come back when they question the owner. The rules/prices seem to be inconsistent. We as a group and I have had problems just getting straight answers about reservations most made a year ago. I’ve given him the benefit of doubt as he can be very nice & The inconsistency when questioned he ‘s very rude, even caustic tongued. One in our group was told not to ever come back over questioning an added price when went to check out. He does not like to be questioned. This is bitter sweet as our RV group has been coming every year for 23+ yrs. Lovely relaxed, old park that regulars and I have stayed in for 1-3 months a year. I Know a few of the yearly regulars & the residents that are terrific, keep their own space tidy. They pay his winter bills…yet he is doing what he can to move them out so he can have “a million $$ resort”.
After years of being there, I will NOT be returning nor as Host of our group,
His Webpage also says Top of the Line amenities? New Trailer rentals? Deluxe back ins? NOTHING has been upgraded ie; electrical, sewer, and no improvements other than lamp posts county required & upgraded deck. I overpaid by a little, but no answer to my emails. Good Luck to you Ryan.
5/5 I Love this place. Accommodating, very friendly, most beautiful place on the Trinity River. Well kept and very clean . Been coming here for 20 years…LOTS to see and do or do nothing.come visit
We arrived to learn that the water filtration system for the potable water serving the park had failed several days earlier. It would have been nice to have been contacted before driving 3 hours to this remote RV park and given the option of cancelling our stay. We had to track down the owner/camp host to check-in, even though the office “open” sign was illuminated. Ringing the video doorbell, as instructed on a sign, did not raise anyone. The owner advised us of the water problem and offered us a gallon jug of bottled water. We went to our site since we were in a remote part of CA with few options. The site was nice enough but, it was very difficult to get the rig level front-to-back because of site sloped somewhat steeply down front to back. The 30A receptacle was worn out. We did not connect to the park water system while we discussed our options. We used the park WiFi to contact the only other nearby park and were able to secure a reservation there (it was a pretty poor park). I went into the men’s restroom/shower room and found feces on the floor near a toilet that was being repaired. The floor was wet and it stunk in there. We broke camp and headed to the other nearby park. The owner agreed to refund our 2-night campsite fee.
6. Music Connection
Address: 3086 Bechelli Ln, Redding, CA 96002 , Lewiston , California , United States
Best music store in town – Bernie is the kindest and most helpful man.
Went in the other day to get some ukulele strings. The lady at the counter was super friendly and knowledgeable. Will definitely be back!
Bernie and Co. are the most helpful guitar people in the world. Hands down.
It has a lot of great products but call ahead of time to make sure they have what you need!
Friendly and quick service to string my guitar.
Nice selection of music items. Was out of stock on what I was looking for my daughters clarinet.
Don’t get a good vibe from the store.
Customer service is essential to me. I expect friendly staff that listen to me and try to help me. This is not that store. With unimpressive prices and staff, they convinced me not to go back.
Classical guitar strings are not sold here.
Sheet music: nearly all piano method books.
7. Lakeview Terrace Resort, RV Park & Campground
Address: 9001 Trinity Dam Blvd, Lewiston, CA 96052 , Lewiston , California , United States
It’s my first time here. Very fun and nice cabins. Why to the pool a couple of times and to the lake across the road. Rented Kayak’s from them and had a really good family vacation. Just a heads up, cabins located in “cliffs” watch your toddlers. Dogs we welcome there.
Muchas gracias!!
New owners!! Great place, fine hospitality. Good people.
Nice
Have alot of amneties….swimming pool, mini store, etc. Management/Owner very pleasant and accommodating.
Great managers and people in this cozy park on the terrace by Lewiston lake, unfortunately due to my bad back, the roads were a little too steep for me to traverse on a regular bases.
This park is in need of immediate TLC, so much potential! Located parallel to the beautiful Lewiston Lake, a short walk across the road. The video for this resort is very deceiving. We stayed in the RV park, the sites were clean and maintained, but the entire RV park is surrounded by permanent campers and mobile homes, with all of their life essentials under pop-up and lots of tarps (which obstruct your view of the lake). Some sites had picnic tables, others didn’t. The campsites at the west side of the campground are located near a dumpster and the grounds keeper quarters, which also entail a sufficient amount of junk. The gentlemen on the 4 wheelers start in quite early, driving in circles, burning out with abrupt stops for no reason other then to show off and kick up dust. Sites are small, so if you’re not parked the way the owner likes, you must park your car at the parking section, which is a walk for many site and very inconvenient.
The bathroom stall doors (too high) and toilet seats (too low) did not align, leaving lots to be discovered. The front lawn that most activities are located on is dry and dead, use of the walkie talkie at the front office because no one wants to man the office during normal business hours is frustrating, items purchased at the store have a drop box you must drop off exact cash into.
Unclear on the status of the cabins. Needless to say, we won’t be going back.
We have never visited Trinity Alps and were very excited to find a RV park with full hookups for us to stay at. I spoke to Redbud on the phone and she described the place to me and it sounded fairly decent. I was not able to find any pictures of the actual RV part of the park for some reason (should have been a clue #1). The website and most pictures show the cabins, the pool and the nearby lake. Those are the nice parts of the park, especially the proximity to a mountain lake and having a pool to cool off in. However, the RV park itself is more or less a home to many permanent residents who live in mobile homes and older RV’s with lots of tarps, junk, toys, barking dogs and make it look and feel very trashy. The narrow 1 lane dusty path to the park is set up for smaller motorhomes, not a 32 foot 5th wheel. I was told they had spots large enough for us, which thankfully worked out, but getting in and out was very tight and scary. From our campsite we had the view of a large garbage bin and the workers’ shed with lots of junk around. Not the view one expects on their vacation. The constant dust and noise from the worker driving his ATV up and down the path was not good either. It’s really sad that this place is like this, because the location is really lovely, but it is more or less a home for those who live in trailers and mobile homes with their belongings spread around their area.
The office is not staffed most of the day as other parks, so they have this clever system of using the walkie talkie to call a staff member. You can’t just drop by the little store or play ping pong because everything is locked up. Someone is there in the middle of the day, but not on Sundays and there is no cell phone service so calling is not an option.
I can see that the cabins are wonderful for groups and families to stay in and enjoy the mountains, but unfortunately the RV park is probably the worst one we ever stayed at and we travel all the time. Needles to say, I will be more diligent with my research in the future and will not be coming back to Lakeview Terrace.
We stayed at the RV park, not the cabins. The park is old, poorly maintained, and the sites are VERY close together. I can’t fathom how anyone could rate this place any higher than 3 stars. The majority of the sites are occupied by long-term tenants whose sites are littered with all sorts of old junk. Some of the RVs don’t look like they have moved in years, or are capable of being moved. The roads are thin gravel and a little asphalt; the sites are a combination of dirt and sand, which makes a real mess when it rains. The electrical utility receptacles are simply worn out, particularly the 30A ones. The utility pedestals are very close to both sides of your rig. The road into the RV park is steep, narrow and has several very sharp turns, including one hairpin turn at the end. The most disappointing thing about the park was that it has such great potential in a great location. BTW…cell service is nearly non-existent; bring your Starlink if you need internet.
8. Brass Reed
Address: 2650 S Market St, Redding, CA 96001 , Lewiston , California , United States
Great music store for purchasing a wide variety of items. Lots of students come through here for music lessons and they can order parts as needed.
Great little shop. I needed my guitar fully restrung as I’ve just started lessons, and they were able to get it done at a really reasonable rate and back to me the same day! I’ll definitely use them again. Thanks Tom and Al 🙂
Tasty lobster and clams
A good place for instrument repair.
Excellent knowledgeable staff and quality work.
I was totally ignored. People were in the building and I heard someone working behind the counter but I couldn’t see them. I rang the bell several times and even called out but I was completely ignored. I had money in my pocket ready to buy and left with nothing.
Very rude and does not support the military. My friend served in the Navy for 22 years and all he did was ask do you offer military discounts and the guy was super rude. Said everybody gets a discount. Doesn’t matter if you’re in the military. And it was the way he said it was so disrespectful. A Simple no would have been great. Most places offer one so he asked. Then treated him like dirt after that.
9. Sherlock Music Shop
Address: 210 High St ste. C, Mt Shasta, CA 96067 , Lewiston , California , United States
Awesome experience. Really helpful and knowledgeable staff who respected covid guidelines including disinfecting the instruments so we could try some out. Thanks!
Its pretty great! They have both new and used instruments and a large selection of music books too.
Friendly, knowledgeable service. Went to get drum sticks and received excellent customer service from Dan. He was friendly and knowledgeable and helped us find the perfect drum sticks. Thanks Dan!
I really appreciate these guys for their customer care and smart staff. Good job making the store a fun and relaxing place to explore musical instruments for all ages!
Got my input fixed on my wife’s guitar and my daughter’s veola fixed up too.
Happy new year!
I took a subwoofer at this place for repair. I got a call back about 3 to 4 weeks later regarding the cost, i asked them to hold the subwoofer until i have a chance to pick it up within 2 weeks without repairs and i was told it was not a problem. 2 weeks later it was pouring rain and since i have a truck bed which is the only place where the subwoofer would fit, so i didn’t not have a way of picking it up. i went today to get it and the person in repairs said that he threw the subwoofer away, because i took so long. He also claimed that he left a voicemail saying he would throw it away if i didn’t pick it up. I had a message to pick it up, but he did not say that otherwise it would be tossed away.
This was an expensive sub and the only thing it needed was a speaker, the amp on it was perfect and the box was in great shape. Anyone with common sense knows that they probably fixed it and sold it, given that everything was in great shape except for the speaker. I feel that they way they do business is dishonest and do not recommend this place to anyone.
12. mikias barter shop
Address: 540 Main St, Weaverville, CA 96093 , Lewiston , California , United States
I was at Kimberly s wine shack enjoying this year’s chardonnay that has just been bottled.
Mike is a nice guy he knows a lot about pianos he can get your piano fixed it just takes a little time
Everything has been moved except the signs that tell you where things are. It was confusing for everyone including staff
Unfortunately did not have a good experience trying to book. Used the online booking service, was called and told my time slot was not available, so rescheduled it for 10am. Received an email at 10:08am saying he wasn’t going to make it and could I do the afternoon. Ok, frustrating but sure. He said he would come at “2 ish.” Got another email at 3:14pm saying he was sorry but couldn’t make it and would be out of town for a while. Emailed him again a week later to ask when he is available, no response. I would have appreciated a call when he was running late, or preferably for him to straight up say at the beginning that he was booked & would need to do a different day, so I wasn’t sitting at home all day.
14. Mamma Llama Eatery and Café
Address: 490 Main St, Weaverville, CA 96093 , Lewiston , California , United States
Excellent All American waffle with fresh strawberries, blueberries, sliced banana, whipped cream, and chocolate drizzle! Good for 10 AM breakfast with house coffee.
Cafe
Nirvana substitute chicken…winner!
Mexican mocha
Mmmmmmmm
Great little café. Well worth the stop. Very good ice cream
Love this place but have recently had a hard time hanging out there because they never seem to be open anymore, hope this is fixed soon!
Let me start by saying that I love this place and normally it is a relaxing, tasty experience, so I would normally give it five stars. So please don’t let this recipe keep u from trying them. I just think they need to know. Met a friend for lunch. After ordering we waited forty minutes for our meal. We asked multiple times as people that arrived after us were getting their orders. My friend finally had to leave to return to work and literally had staff chasing him to the door. I waited probably another ten minutes and then my very disappointing meal arrived. The chicken was so overcooked that it was inedible, the fries were cold and soggy, and the dip was not as promised. We will try again but I hope they can work out whatever is happening to a great, Zen location
Yeah, went to the bathroom. There was a bucket of used condoms on the toilet and the toilet paper holder broke when I pulled some out. Disgusting.
Ordered the Belgian chicken. It was dry, and over cooked. Chicken cuts were too thick so they cooked them longer to make up for it. Tasted alright. Fries were over seasoned. Atmosphere was good and everyone was nice. But the food could use some work.
15. Seidel Music & Repair
Address: 344 Thain Rd, Lewiston, ID 83501 , Lewiston , California , United States
The hub for music in the valley. Also the biggest supporter for music in schools down here. CHECK THEM OUT.
Helpful and knowledgeable staff, clean shop.
Very knowledgeable staff
Very helpful and polite staff.
Good atmosphere great guys
One gentleman who works there is nice but the other is quite rude and makes you feel like unless you buy from them, your stuff is garbage.
They ran a hard credit check on my credit report without my knowledge or consent. I’m very mad at the ding it caused my credit score. Plus it’s just cheaper to buy off amazon. These mom and pop shops are closing themselves down by their own actions. Bye-bye!
16. Papa Dogs Taphouse & Deli (previously Corner Mart)
Address: 1121 Main St, Weaverville, CA 96093 , Lewiston , California , United States
A symphony of flavors, decadently moist and bursting with subtle charms. A must stop for anyone passing through. The food was good too
Love this place! So calm and love their food
Best dog in town. Best homemade biscuits and gravy. Best small market.
Nice clean convenience store. They are proud of their hotdogs. Nice location near the park. They have a patio too. The bike rack had a sweet all red bike chained to it. I hope it is a fixture there.
Great service, food. Ice cream plus convenient .
They have indoor tables and breakfast now.
Rude people
Asked an off duty deputy to leave because an employee was not comfortable around law enforcement. That is their right, and it is my right to let people know. If you back law enforcement spend your money elsewhere.
Since the corner mart doesn’t seem to be comfortable having law-enforcement officers come in for lunch or dinner, I don’t think my family will be going there either. They actually ask a deputy to leave because he made one of The employee/family members uncomfortable by his presence. Shame on the entire Keating family. You owe the Law enforcement community an apology. #BOYCOTT Of course this is just my humble opinion.
17. Weaverville Hotel & Emporium
Address: 481 Main St, Weaverville, CA 96093 , Lewiston , California , United States
Great place for gifts: jewelry, clothing, body lotions, and they gift wrap for free.
This little shop is by far, the best one I’ve ever been in. Their Jewelry is very beautiful, unique, and with a history for all those silver collectors out there. It really was hard to leave this shop. Hoping to comeback and see what other collections i can buy. Thank for the kind service.
Beautiful overnight stay in a great little town, hotel run by an absolute sweetheart
Charming hotel in the center of downtown Weaverville. Definitely the deluxe place to base a Trinity fishing trip (especially if you bring wife/girlfriend)
The Weaverville Hotel and Emporium is an adorable place. The staff is friendly and my visits there are always pleasant.
The history is present everywhere you look in the older section of Weaverville and that is particularly true in the Hotel. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable and despite the marks and distances we felt very welcome there.
I drove from Sacramento to Eureka today coming through Weaverville JUST to be able to visit this “Emporium” What a disappointment. I expected authentic gold rush gifts or even antique items. This store is full of trinket stuff you can get from Amazon. 🙁 The sitting parlor was nice.. authentic pieces to enjoy – loved the view finders.
18. Lefty’s Music
Address: 530 Main St, Weaverville, CA 96093 , Lewiston , California , United States
I bought online a Roland TD-27kv and the experience was amazing. The product arrived in perfect conditions, in time and well sealed. The customer service excellent, they answered me all the questions about this drum kit before to buy. I will buy again.
