Excellent place, helping with respect and kindness. Very hard to find place like this today.
Super nice folks. Very fair and respectful. If you need something new or pre-owned give Joselito Music LLC a chance. Thanks Jose!
Muy amable la encargada, exelentes productos.
We came here to get some music supplies on a Tuesday at 2:30 pm. No one was there. We drove quite a few miles and nothing stated the store would be closed. So I see no option but a 1 star rating here.
4. Atlanta Guitar Works
Address: 567 Planters Row SW, Lilburn, GA 30047 , Lilburn , Georgia , United States
I bought a new acoustic bass and it was delivered with some damage. The model was difficult to find so I didn’t want to send it back. Took it to Brian and he did an amazing job on it – nearly impossible to see where the damage was. He also did a set up and suggested replacing the plastic nut and bridge with custom bone. Prices were very reasonable, I feel like I got a great deal. The tone and playability are greatly improved. Also enjoyed talking music, gear and more with Brian. Will be taking other instruments back to him for set up.
I went and built beautiful guitars. My acoustics sound fantastic. Brian is very knowledgeable. Well worth the money.
Top guy
Should’ve done this years ago…..dropped off a guitar to have it repaired and when I got it back my Floyd Rose tremolo had been switched with one whose fine tuners were stripped out.
5. Draisen-Edwards Music Center
Address: 4100 Five Forks Trickum Rd SW, Lilburn, GA 30047 , Lilburn , Georgia , United States
This place is purely magical. Amazing spot to get an album or any creative material recorded with very skilled engineers, who are also passionate musicians, so you can count on a great experience working with these guys. Great gear to work with. Some of the best dudes!
We cut our first album here and we couldn’t have chosen a better studio! Will and Andy are great folks and I would highly recommend Prana as your recording home!
They are very professional. The end product of your project is superb. I’m very happy to have recorded with them and would like to do more. Good atmosphere in nice area. Thank you!
7. TR Music & Voice Lessons
Address: 4737 Trailblazer Ct NW, Lilburn, GA 30047 , Lilburn , Georgia , United States
The atmosphere is very peculiar thanks to a wall covered with guitars for sale – from guitars for children to professional electric guitars and basses. The venue is much bigger than it looks like from the outside and allows for a quiet place also for working on your laptop.
Love this woman! I started lessons with her back in 2012 having absolutely NO experience and gobs of insecurities about singing. I had tried other singing “academies” at the same time, and they were very uninspiring. Forbesy is the true inspiration and a real talent. She’s worked in the music business for over 20 years and has gold records in singing and songwriting to prove it!
My kid has taken piano from Adriana for two years. I love the variety of approaches she has taken to develop his interest and appreciation of music from music thoery to composition and improvisation. She also creates an incredible community at her monthly Family Coffee House where students at every level perform next to professional guests. We always leave inspired!
8. Ronald Sachs Violins
Address: 836 Pleasant Hill Rd, Lilburn, GA 30047 , Lilburn , Georgia , United States
Very good customer service. Repair violins and bows very well!
Excellent assortment of violins and bows! Exceptional service…so knowledgeable and helpful!
Always the best!
It’s all in hurry. They have only enough time to swipe ur card.
Please do not come to this Ronald Sachs location to buy an instrument unless you are an experienced player or know your stuff. I bought a decent (or so I thought) instrument from here years ago when I had very little knowledge about violins and was starting off my violin career in high school. James especially scammed me and sold a violin worth max. $2000 for more than double the price. I should’ve known better. I recently took my instrument to another luthier and another violin shop and they told me my non-English speaking parents and I were absolutely taken advantage of. Now, I know not to go to this location and to never do business with James. None of my colleagues or professors recommend RS because so many of their students have been ruthlessly scammed by this man. Please do your research and take these instruments to a trusted luthier BEFORE purchasing, and please try to stay away from this RS location.
I contacted this company twice to inquire about a violin. The first time I called, they were very cold. The sales person rushed me off the phone and said he would call me back. He didn’t. The second time, James answered and he was EXTREMELY cold to me. He seemed as though he didn’t want to be bothered with ‘someone like me’. After our conversation, he very abrubtly clicked down the phone in such a way that confirmed that he did not want me as a customer. I am black by the way and I am sure he could tell. There was just an energy that came from him that spelled ‘prejudice’. I have lived in Georgia all of my life and I can recognize racism when I see, and hear it. I am really thinking about reporting them to the Better Business Bureau. I am definitely going to spread the word in the string community here in Augusta about how they treated me starting with the string professors here at my school and the string teachers in the public school district.
I was quoted a repair price of between $50 – $100 for a crack in an old violin. After driving from out of town to his shop, I was ignored by Ronald and fast-talked by his employee. Ron was given my violin, looked at it for about 6 seconds and said “$320.” After that, he glanced at me but still didn’t even even nod in my direction and got back to whatever he was working on. When I balked at the price, I got more fast-talk and the hard-sell from his employee about why I should spend so much on a student instrument. I left unhappily and with my violin still cracked.
9. A440 Pianos
Address: 855 Garner Rd SW, Lilburn, GA 30047 , Lilburn , Georgia , United States
Thank you for finding and selling me the piano of my dreams at a price point I could afford. Bringing it to me on the inner banks of North Carolina was no easy feat and is one of the kindest gifts I’ve ever received. Again, thank you for being honest and trustworthy and a damn fine entertaining person and piano player. I would recommend you to everyone. Happy new owner of a beautiful full throated 9ft Baldwin concert grand in coastal North Carolina.
Great service, excellent quality of the piano, just like new, wonderful sound. Also, they provide moving and tuning services. The price is fantastic. I will recommend it to my friends because everything is worthwhile.
The boss can speak three languages: English, Spanish, and Chinese. (Possibly also French).
A440pianos is, as I find it, a reputable and fair business. I’m located in Ohio and work as a Director of Music for a mega church here in Columbus. We were liquidating most of our grand pianos and were looking for buyers. A440 was recommended and we exchanged info, pictures, etc. We settled on a fair price, check was mailed to us and within a week the piano was picked up. Very professional movers. Pascal was very helpful and reasonable. I recommend this company to anyone who is selling a piano. Thank you Pascal and A440. We will do business again soon.
Cool
Great job moving and tuning the piano. Although it’s important to note that the price may go up $100 once they reach you “for this or that” various reason. Also important to note tuning IS NOT included in the quote the owner gives you- though their wording in conversation may be a little misleading for some. Quoted $250 for transporting and tuning. Ended up paying $350 for transport (even though they drove to van into the yard and literally right TO the room door where it was to be delivered… then an additional $195 charged for tuning.
Total: $545.00
Overall the tuning was done well and they were very careful with the piano, just need some work on customer service…
Bait and switch scam! A lot of the pianos you see online are not at the store. When you get there he will say stuff like “Oh man, we just sold that one yesterday!” I am sure that the business has some good products, but please don’t waste your time on an online listing from A440 pianos.
So, here’s the thing. I Googled places that actually buys used pianos and this was the first placed that popped up in my phone. I was excited and gave the phone to my husband who talked to the owner, Ron. To my understanding when he got off the phone, Ron quoted him a price of $295 to give to my husband for removing the piano from my cousin’s home. She’s moving soon and wanted to get rid of it. At first, my husband asked for initially a little over $300, but because Ron told him it’ll cost him $90 to sell it in the store, the agreement was $295. He then told my husband to email him our address and phone number for pick up in which I had done from my email address. Two days later today, 2 guys showed up in a big white van and one of those guys was Ron. In the middle of them moving the piano out, he told my husband that he was going to charge him $295 to move the piano. Wait, what?! But didn’t you tell my husband that you’ll pay him $295 to take the piano off his hands so why should my husband have to pay you money that he doesn’t have in order for you to remove the piano? That did not make sense to me! Very fishy! Then Ron and his guy moved the piano back into the house, messed with the keys to hear the sound and said that the piano sounds great, but the keys are plastic. Plastic? No sir! Those are real, white ivory piano keys! You came to our house under false pretenses for us to PAY YOU TO MOVE THE PIANO OUT WHEN WE SENT YOU PICTURES OF THE PIANO AND YOU GAVE US THAT QUOTE OF $295 TO PAY US FOR THAT PIANO! AGAIN, WHY ARE WE PAYING YOU?!
I called another store and the associate said that this company are a bunch of crooks! From what just happened today and the review I read on here, I definitely believe it! Even their website claimed that they will give you a professional quote and will pay you money on the spot for your used piano. Smh! If I can give this company a -0, I really would! Lying won’t get you anywhere. It won’t get you any business, especially ours!
UPDATE AS OF 6:19 P.M. How rude of you to lie on Google????? Just face that you are not an honest company at all. You have another bad review about someone saying that you tried to charge them $395 for something that was suppose to have been on the piano! Please! And you have a company that’s called you guys crooks and said that you sell old things???? Your credibility is NOT POSITIVE AND NEITHER HAS BEEN TODAY’S EXPERIENCE! You can’t get mad when a customer voices their opinion over bad customer service! Change the way you approach people and be honest!
I have right to review as a consumer.
I bought a grand piano(Yamaha C3) from A440 piano on 3. 24. 2016.
When I bought a piano, it said they are going to include “soften hammer.” And in invoice, it said it too.
And I definitely thought that the piano would be softened, cause of that I had to pay money.
But you said you tuned it but it does not sound proper it should be and it was very easy to spot the rust part of piano and it shouldn’t be.
And when we asked you to fix the hammer like it says on the invoice, but you asked us to charge money, $395.
My daughter, who is working on to be pianist, and since this piano is not proper, I as a parent, it makes me really upset.
Look at the picture, everyone would know this is not fixed hammer.
so, I cannot understand that you got a “super service award.”
I really want to solve this problem quickly as possible.
Also I don’t want anybody have this kind of again.
Was having a hard time getting a clarinet for my daughter so late in the school year because she was a digital learner. The process was super easy and completed online. Jon was super nice and respectful and answered any questions I had. Highly recommend them for your music needs!
Troy Lucia is a great instructor. He is very patient, knowledgeable and encouraging. I appreciate that he suggested I sit in on my son’s lessons so that I can easily reinforce what is being taught. He always makes new skills and topics exciting and easy to learn. Jon working at the front is always friendly, accommodating and ready to provide and help or information needed. We look forward to seeing them every week!
17. Goodwill Thrift Store & Donation Center
Address: 5279 Lawrenceville Hwy, Lilburn, GA 30047 , Lilburn , Georgia , United States
I have purchased countless pieces of clothing here at incredible prices and quality. I love the goodwill mission and services.
Nice and easy drop off all your donations without getting out your vehicle. David the attendant very friendly!
There’s Goodwill stores in other areas with a much better selection
The variety is exceptional. A lot of cool oversized T-shirts, but most bad quality. Not the shop to find unique cool pieces. Has no name brand sports clothes… so overall I would give it a 3.
Big store. Staff helps when needed. Donations are taken in the front. Pick up for big items are in the back.
Very bad attention, and we can’t try on clothes, rude staff.
Nothing was organized properly, some of the female clothes was mixed in with men’s clothes, on top of that all the sizes were mixed up as well, it made searching for specific sizes and items alot harder.
Horrible management! I would rate this goodwill a 0 star if I could. The manager, Javis was not pleasant and had very cocky arrogant attitude. The way he made me feel after my shopping experience was unacceptable. Before I could ask for corporate’s number he started to recite it with a disgusting look and tone. Great items, need new management who actually enjoy their jobs.
18. City Thrift
Address: 5570 Lawrenceville Hwy Ste A, Lilburn, GA 30047 , Lilburn , Georgia , United States
On top of great prices I tried on a pair of jeans and there was a 100 bucks in the back pocket❤. I love it there
Fantastic store. Huge collection of useful items. Well organized. Friendly cashier’s. I literally saved it as a place in maps so I can visit again!! Best thrift store I’ve been to.
Went during labor day sale and they had 50% off everything. Cheaper than goodwill
Great deals at a fraction of the retail price. Seniors save a little more on Tuesdays.
There’s always a little something. The experience in a cool not crowded place.
Call the number listed and someone just picks it up an hangs up. Multiple times
Bad ownership and treat the employees like trash, worst place.
Large selection not many good ones
19. Electronics Master Car Audio & Tint ( EMR )
Address: 4310 Lawrenceville Hwy, Lilburn, GA 30047 , Lilburn , Georgia , United States
I went there back in November to fix my autostart. I called a few other places but they were not authorized dealers for my autostart. When I called they were very nice and said I could walk in. They were very friendly and professional. They gave me a price up front, no surprises which I was very happy about. I waited for an hour to get it fixed. I was very grateful they were able to fix my autostart. And as a bonus, I got two free multicolor pens/stylus which I LOVED.
They have a great staff, all very friendly. I will definitely be returning here in the future. 🙂
I appreciate everything these guys done for my 300. These guys are extremely knowledgeable and I’ll definitely be bringing more business their way.
I was referred to this place by a Colleague in regards to Auto Parts and Accessories installation I had them put on a Hood, Head Light Assembly kit, Apple Play and Android Radio blue tooth system,
After the installation was completed there were I thought very important details not completed in addition, they would not remember some things that were supposed to be however, over all the work was pretty good I just wish they would follow thru on everything that’s agreed upon. And Hold everyone accountable for paying attention to detail.
They couldn’t install my fog lights and they are professionals, so I guess they are not so professional after all, even though my lights are after market for my 06 Acura tl
Great people! Took my 2013 Mercedes c350 to Electronic Masters after taking it to another shop previously who did no help. My car was playing no sound at all no radio no Bluetooth no aux nothing! The shop I previously took to BEFORE Electronic Masters had my car a whole Month and still didn’t fix the issue. Once I took my car to Electronic Masters they quickly had my sound working and a new screen installed in a very timely manner within a few days. The people their went above and beyond and were very friendly and always fixed any issues I had. Even with my car being a fiber optic running system they easily took care of the issues! Thank you Electronic Masters! Take your car here first for the best service for any car, especially if you have a high end car! Tell them Isaac sent you .
Poor customer service I went in the store ready to buy head unit for my Camry told the guy what I was looking for and he told me that the guy l needed to talk with was in the restroom so the first guy went in the back 15min later nobody came back upfront to assist me when my wife and I walked out of the store the first guy came back out to the front counter if they didn’t want to serve me they have told me when we first walked in
This will be my first ever Google review and i hope it helps
The team of people were great, however the results were not.
A gentleman was getting his truck worked on at the same time as me and they ended up messing up his xm radio where the truck no longer recognize it even existed. His words were ” it won’t show up, not even on the screen like it never exsisted.” Which made me worry because my truck was still in back.
They pulled his truck back, tweaked it it worked he left. 5 mins later he comes back and now his digital gas meter is not working on his dash it was telling him that he truck was on E.
When I got mine back, the guy pulled up and it sounded good. I went in to pay and camr back outside, when I turned the car back on no sub was booming. Just a pulsing sound from the subs every 10 secs or so. So they brought it back in, “tweaked” something and eventually it sounded good again brought it back out. Once the guy opened the door he said hold on, and the brand new subs they put in blew.
They again pulled it back around and somehow I get blamed for turning the bass all the way up on my system. Keep in mind after siting in the store for 3 hours I was only in my vehicle for 5 mins tops out of the (two times they brought it back out).
So again they took it back a 3rd time swapped the speaker/sub and it was working again. I tested everything. Lowered the base and drove home fine. 30 mins later hop back in my car to run an errand and that same pulse is back.
This time I wanted to check everything. So I started panning my system and listening. Turns out my left front dash speaker is blown my factory bass only plays when panned in the right zones. I have a factory 7 speaker bose system. Which only 1 is blown and 5 others are working. Yes that means 1 speaker is not working (my center dash speaker)
I will be returning on Monday to receive a full refund for my system.
They are nice people but I was not satisfied with the service.
Please excuse any typos I wrote this in my phone
$900+ and the letters don’t line up on the radio buttons. It looks incredibly cheap. I was told “it’ll be better than the original”.
To top it off, he said it’ll be “cheaper if you pay cash”. Of course. Now I can’t dispute it with my credit card. Just avoid this place.
Edit: Owner replied to try and discredit the review. His name is Naheed.
