Fantastic service! From the time I called to inquire on repair services to when I went to pick up my kids clarinet. Thank you! I honestly called a closer place but the kid on the phone was rude so I chose to drive further and I’m glad that I did. Thanks again, Happy Holidays
A business on the way out. For the truth, read what Traci, Joseph, Steve, Randall, Libby, and Alfuquan had to say. For a better choice, and a store with a future, visit Georgia Music on Zebulon.
Poor customer service and very rude! I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone for any future business transactions.
On this site hours are 10am to 5pm. Get over here at 4:45 and they are closed!

Very friendly and professional services. They are reasonable on prices. All around great store very clean. Very good items to choose from.
Great place with great prices and knowledgeable people. Would highly recommend to anyone.
Great guys. Stopped in off the interstate and they fixed up some minor issues with my steel guitar, no charge. So helpful and friendly that I bought some things anyway.
This is a nice locally owned music store. Very good selection of guitars and other musical instruments. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. Stop by and support a small business!
Cool
4. Black Hammond
Address: 365 Cotton Ave, Macon, GA 31201 , Macon County , Georgia , United States
The Black Hammond store is a must go-too for all your piano, organ, and much more musical needs. Mr. Black has delivered an organ to my home church two states away. His services and quality of the instruments are beyond compared to other musical stores. It is always a pleasure to do business with Mr. Black. Best Hammond dealer in the state.
Black Hammond has been my organ technician of choice for the past ten years for three ministries that I play for. He has always been honest and fair throughout our relationship.

Placed an order on line. Order on 2/12. Was informed my order was received the same day. Still haven’t heard of a shipment date. How long does it take to package a microphone and sent it out.? LOUSY SERVICE.
Hard to find. Just a bunch of pianos
5. Young America Music Schools
Address: 6361 Zebulon Rd, Macon, GA 31220 , Macon County , Georgia , United States
This is an excellent place for anyone looking to learn about music. Mr. Young is truly committed to helping anyone experience the joy of music. There are plenty of opportunities to learn here in a private or more public setting. There are also many free opportunities to join in a group session.
Greatest music store ever
Love Mr. Young and Mike! The staff are extremely knowledgeable and excellent teachers. Equipment and lessons reasonably priced.
My daughter takes lessons here and I LOVE her teacher. And YAMS does an annual recital to show off the students’ hard work.
The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is the owner of the school/store publicly advertised his political views during election season. I understand his right to freedom of speech, but i wish that as a professional, he didn’t share his opinion oncontroversial topics.
Always helpful!
Very very disappointed. He opens up at 11:00 am then turns around and goes to lunch at 11:30. It is now 2:11 pm and he is still at lunch. How do you manage to stay in business when you are not there? I have an instrument that has to be picked up today and he is no where to be found. There isn’t even another contact number on the door to call. My son has to have his instrument in the morning at school for band class. He doesn’t open up until 11:00 in the morning. By then my son will have missed his band class at school. Will NEVER do business with him again. I will pay more somewhere else just so I can have great customer service and someone there at the hours posted on the door.
I wanted to take piano lessons and saw that this school was only a few miles away. Pulled in the parking lot and instantly got bad vibes by the big Trump flag mounted between all the flags. Anyone’s political party is there choice but I rather not go to any business that wants to seclude anyone or a political group. Went to Guitar Center where the vibe is way more welcoming.
Very friendly ,professional , and they have amazing instructors!
Great selection of instruments, accessories, and other things!
Great deals, great service. It’s always nice to have a local, hometown music store for that personal touch. Lessons are also available. Wish there was a bigger selection there, though–go buy some stuff there so they can afford more space! 🙂
Went in to get some supplies for taking care of a trumpet. They didnt have a huge variety but they did gave neat grab and go packs. They did, however, have a huge selection of guitars, ukuleles and other strings as well as a few brass and woodwinds.
Nice music shop. We are pleased with a kid friendly guitar lessons taught by Mr. Mike.
Update:Feb 2022. Still attending lessons and my child has taken a liking to guitar. His finger placement has gotten better and knowing the proper strings for several chords.
Employees act unprofessional around minors….disturbing experience.
Courteous & friendly but I wouldn’t take an amp there for repair. I was told that I’d get a call with the diagnosis. 2 weeks later I called only to be told they haven’t been able to find anyone willing to work on it. It clearly states on their website that they repair both tube & solid state amplifiers? I’m a little preplexed..
I had a violin restrung there a few months back. Violins are better maintained by a shop that specializes in violins but I went ahead and took the chance when the folks at Music Masters assured me they could get the job done.
Although the job was done faster than I expected, the quality was very sloppy. First, the strings were not even in tune and the bridge was filed down unevenly. There were also some kind of oil or lotion spots/fingerprints all over the body which indicated poor attention to detail.
After I took it back, they insisted on redoing the work with a new bridge that i had to provide. Second time around, it didn’t look very different from the first job. In the end, I was down $40-something bucks and didn’t even consider taking it back a third time.
Music Masters might be good with other things, but I wouldn’t reccomend sending your violin there for work.
Kind welcoming woman and a large selection of Vinyls, me and the fiance could spend hours just going through the selection. A little gem in the rough.
GEM. Place isn’t the most organized but lots of good music and great customer service from Ms. Habersham. A real dig, not for the faint of heart. (Also moved across the street from the address listed on google) Good luck.
Ms pat is the best
Great Customer Service & Care.
Great service
First of all they need to change their address on Google since they have moved to a new location. The shop is small and the records are all jammed against one wall. Most of the records are piled up flat rather than standing up front to back. This causes wear on the covers and records. Almost no records have outer sleeves and many did not have an inner sleeve. Records were in poor condition would not recommend.
12. Milton Brown Pianos & Services
Address: 1801 Winston Dr, Macon, GA 31206 , Macon County , Georgia , United States
Best record store in macon. Staff is always very friendly and ready to talk music. Plenty of new and used records to dig through for hours. They always have the latest releases.
Spectacular collection, Willie was very attentive, super nice and crazy awesome knowledgeable of each and every record on the shelves at Fresh Produce.
Great service, music, records n all!
Great selection and well organized! My only complaint is location [downtown] and lack of a parking lot!
Took a stroll through downtown today and just happened to remember my brother telling me about this record shoppe. He and his wife recently birthed their 2nd child in this store. My brother Walt said that the clerk was so spot on with the music selection during labor that he let the young man cut the umbilical cord. Anybody that cuts my nephew’s umbilical cord is a friend of mine!
Loved the place! Great vibe and great selections.
Very rude and even cursed at my husband on the phone. Just trying to do some business..but if you didn’t wanna make a sale you could have just said that instead of being rude. HORRIBLE!!!!!
CALL BEFORE YOU TRY TO VISIT!!!!!!
Tried to shop at 3:30 pm on a Saturday the busiest retail day of the week. There was a pice of paper on the door saying someone would be back in 20-25 minutes and a phone number. The job of a retail worker is to wait for customers to come into the store, not have customers call them to meet up. Read the other reviews. The actions today support a drug dealer vibe. Every town I visit I always find a record store to check out. I also tell all the audiophiles I know about which towns to go for the best record stores. I gave the second star because from the window it looked like it was well organized. Especially compared to the Habersham record store. Macon as a whole is not a town for record shopping. Great music icons were from here but I can see why they didn’t stay. The note said they were going to get lunch. Isn’t there a huge industry called delivery?
