Always professional people great at home atmosphere…and Great instruments !!!!…they know there stuff
We visited to rent a flute for my son for 5th grade band. The staff were very friendly and helpful and made sure he had what he needed without pushing for extras at all. If he needs some extra lessons or decides to really pursue his instrument, we definitely know where to go!
Great lessons in a pleasant, convenient location
DIetz Bros. is the absolute best when it comes to professionalism and musicianship in the South Bay. The store has been building a loyal clientele for over 25 years and even a first time customer will feel like family. If they don’t have the instrument you are looking for, not to worry, they can order it for you.
I went in to buy a guitar and an elderly gentleman was helping me. There was a guitar with a 50% sticker on it for $480, and he said it would be $240. When we got to the register he said, “Sorry, it’s actually $440, but I can sell it to you for $410.” Then I picked up another guitar and he said “Oh yeah, the 50% off is from other people’s prices not ours. That’s for all of the guitars.” If it’s not 50% off of their price, why is there a sticker that says 50% off stuck to the guitar? Horrible customer service, I was ready to pay right there.
Love this place! Our two kids have been attending for years, they now are both in bands and play multiple instruments. Everyone at Coast is terrific!
My daughter has been enrolled at Coast Music for about a year and half. We are so thankful for the inspiration, skills and love of music that Coast has given to her. The staff and students are extraordinary…extremely talented, fun and sweet. This school has a great positive vibe and real sense of community.
Best place for music in the South Bay!

I bought the Tube distortion pedal first and it made me get rid of every distortion pedal on my board yeah it’s that good almost toooooo good. Very powerful so you need to dial it in. I just got the overdrive pedal yesterday and not surprised it is just as good. I use these through my 2 1978 Marshall 50 watt heads and it takes them to a new level. The overdrive is so nice and warm and the distortion can just melt your face if that is what you want. These pedals have so much flexibility the controls actually work! Guitars look good also but I have 27 guitars and my wife will leave me if I buy another….GREAT tube pedals buy them well worth the money!!! You can get any sound you want, even using them at low distortion level creates this sustain and smoothness…..rock n roll!!
I met Chuck on the Outlaw Country Cruise 2017, and became familiar with his vision for Bootlegger Guitars. Since then, I’ve had the pleasure of playing his guitars and basses, particularly the ACE bass, and am extremely happy with the quality, functionality, and playability of these fine instruments. You won’t find a company that cares more about musicians than Bootlegger Guitars, and I can promise you that you will be taken care of by their customer service. 5. @Mike’s Guitar Parlor
Address: 140 Pier Ave, Hermosa Beach, CA 90254 , Manhattan Beach , California , United States
I’ve been a guitar player for over 35 years and I’ve never experienced a guitar shop like Mike’s Guitar Parlour. When I arrived, Mike was entertaining family and friends and I was greeted warmly like a guest at the party. Clearly an expert with a passion for guitars, Mike was keen to have me play some if his favourite vintage acoustics in the shop before trying a few vintage electrics. When playing the electrics, Mike was careful to pair them with an amp that would work as well as possible. When I played “Blackbird” Mike arrived at my side with a nice 1960’s Gibson to ensure I was playing something from the same era. I’ll be back – even if I have to fly from Glasgow! Phenomenal.
Great atmosphere, beautiful guitars, and a legendary guitar God that runs it all! I highly recommend checking out Mike’s Guitar Parlor, you will not be disappointed.
Not only is this place a hidden gem in Hermosa beach for all vintage guitar maniacs, but talking with Mike is equally fantastic. He is incredibly friendly, sharing his passion without counting his time. Such a Great place with good vibes!
Great place, I went in to get a strap hook drilled onto my guitar and he just did it for free.. it said online that they were open today but no body was there and it was closed.
Beautiful store looking through the window. Too bad it wasn’t open at noon on a Friday
Wasn’t even offered to play a guitar… COME ON customer service… oh nevermind dude just ignore you

I’ve only been in to get instrument repaired. So in my experience they are amazing at what they do and no one can beat their prices or professionalism.
Super helpful.
It is a very nice repair shop.
I had to get my trumpet fixed because the valve wouldn’t work and she asked if I wanted a cleaning job for $40 extra. And I asked what they do and they clean all of the internals and not only the little valves and slides.
I like it and the staff are very nice
I leased a full-size cello for my group lesson. I didn’t know how much the lease price goes. She charged me $70 plus tax on $1400 cello but the same value range, my classmate rented for $40. My teacher surprised how expenses she charged me not even including an insurance on cello. And she really scared me for any future damages when I return and I have to pay in full.I understand if the owner charged me slightly higher but she charged me almost as twice as much. Just for informing beginner cellist like me who is looking for leasing a cello, the price goes $35-$40 avg.
We have been going repeatedly for several days. They are NEVER open when they say their posted hours are. Giving up. What a waste of gasoline and time.
