Awesome store for all of your music needs. Got a great deal ok n a new Ibanez with a hard case. Great customer service.
Low priced yet high quality instruments, friendly employees who actually care about and enjoy what they do, great customer service, a wide array of instruments and accessories, and much more. I come here almost every weekend to try out something new. Always a great time. And, recently I purchased a 2016 Gibson SG Special Faded here and it’s probably the best guitar I own, AND it was heavily discounted.
I visited recently this place, it’s a paradise for the people that love music, I always wanted visit this place to looking for a DJ controller mix to starting to practice a Hobbie that I love so much like mix music, and I thought that this place will be the perfect to do that. Unfortunately I didn’t find a property stock of them that I had would like see but I enjoyed the experience to admire this place, the customers service it’s really good and they have the services as music class and also they repair instruments. A super complete store for my opinion. Soon I’m gonna buy my next dj controller here when I find by online their new items stock soon
Ordered a guitar in 7/22. Got it on 8/5. Great guitar, customer service not so good.
Nice place, nice workers, but, sometimes, the prices are higher than Guitar Center on the same products.
Much bigger than it’s cousin on Dallas Hwy. Has okay prices. The staff are fairly helpful. Nothing spectacular.
Overall staff has been friendly and accommodating but I felt mislead about the rental process. I rented my daughter a 3/4 violin three years ago. I had to upgrade it to a 4/4 in her third year.
The associate didn’t tell me that the contract started fresh and I was on the hook for another three years worth of payments. I just kept being charged. I was finally able to return it due to covid. I mentioned the situation to the sales associate and all I got was I’m so sorry to hear that. It shouldn’t have happened that way. No offer to refund some monthly payments, etc. technically the violin should have been mine after paying for it for three years. Live and learn. So just be careful and make sure you read all of the fine print. Make them explain each step and that you understand it. Don’t have the wool pulled over yours eyes.
Good prices….. but no experts:/
The staff just tries to make a quick sale!
Came in for the first time with a couple of my friends to try some amplifiers, brought my own guitar. There was a gentleman whose desk is on the right near the electric guitar shelves that would not stop staring at us as we looked at the guitars. I asked him if I could have a power supply and he asked me what I was doing and why before pretty rudely explaining that the amp I was looking at didn’t work and that I needed to go to the amp room. After we waited a few minutes to use it because it was already occupied, he would not stop staring at us from his desk (which is right outside). I asked him for a power supply a second time because he didn’t get me one the first time and he got visibly upset and started ranting about how the amps are plugged in and I don’t need a power supply, until I told him it was for my pedal. He then told me I needed to take my case up front because they don’t want people stealing (I didn’t know this because it was my first time being there and nobody said anything to me about it when I came in). I’ve been to many music stores, but this one definitely made me feel the most uncomfortable, we didn’t even feel like playing anymore so we just left. Very nice guitar selection, but terrible customer service.
4. Millenio Musical
Address: 782 Sandtown Rd SW, Marietta, GA 30008 , Marietta , Georgia , United States
I can’t say enough wonderful things about this amazing shop. This place has truly been the backbone to our experience here in Marietta the last 3 years. Not only do they have amazing antiques to browse they have an amazing selection of old and new records and refreshing book selection as well! This place is an over all Jem in the haystack that is Marietta. Melissa and Jim (along with their wonderful staff) make this place amazing and are the reason we got started in our vinyl/Polaroid obsession. Do not hesitate to pop in if you’re in the Marietta area! You definitely will not be disappointed. It’s with a heavy heart we are relocating. No record store could ever match the electric atmosphere sweet Melissa’s has to offer.
Very nice people and a great selection!
Great selection of records and antiques. We will definitely be back again! Staff was super helpful.
Good selection of records, and well organized. Expect to pay about 3 times what you would pay anywhere else for used vinyl. New vinyl prices are on par with pretty much any other retail store.
has a nice feel to it and a large selection. just wish it had more hip hop
Nice vinyl lp selection
Can not adequately put into words the rude, condescending attitude of the woman that owns this place. Not sure about anyone else because she is the only one that I have had the displeasure of dealing with. But, let’s put it this way…if I were trying to sell an antique or vintage item and the sale of such item was going to keep my family afloat, I would not bless her with the opportunity if she were the LAST buyer on the planet.
If you like overpriced records this the place for you!
RUDE. i will not be shopping here again. i decided to text their instagram today and asked if they had a vinyl by taylor swift in stock and they responded with “Are kidding? People camped out all night for this record and you couldn’t get into my shop until after 3 on Saturday
Try eBay
Good Luck” i NEVER write reviews but this was so rude and inconsiderate. it was just a simple question?? like?? if you had a bad day don’t take it out on your customers.

Address: 99 S Park Square NE, Marietta, GA 30060 , Marietta , Georgia , United States
Good local place to meet your music needs. Friendly staff, got some good advice today too. Appreciate that.
The staff are very nice and accommodating. I come in a few days a week to look around and kill time, and they always greet me with a smile. They also have a great selection of used gear.
The people there we amazing and they have a very wide variety of instruments
Muitas opções de compra, mas não completa.
Decent selection
The employee are very knowledgeable of the equipments.
The store have a good selection of instruments and accessories.
Just had to drop something off.
I used to love this place, but aggressive and manipulative sales tactics suck the joy out of discovering and buying new gear.
So I called the 800# and they suggested I go to this store to sell my guitar. I got there and was treated like a criminal. They would not buy it, insinuating it was stolen. I will make sure 10 of my friends give you 1 star reviews
8. Wendell’s Music
Address: 1869 Cobb Pkwy SE #500, Marietta, GA 30060 , Marietta , Georgia , United States
Recently purchased from this shop on Reverb.com and had such a good experience i wanted to also leave feedback here. I had an issue at checkout on reverb (it was on my end btw) and contacted the shop. They were quick with help and suggestions. Received the guitar in 3 days after order was placed. The guitar is amazing! Excellent setup!!! Very nice people! I was a pleasure to do business here and will definitely do business with again, no question! Thank you fellas!!!!!
Wendell’s been taking care of my guitars for years. He’s a great guy with a ton of knowledge and experience. He does awesome work and it’s always good to chat with him about music and gear! You are not just another body that walks through his doors. Glad to see that he has his own place!
Went to Wendell’s Music store with a used guitar I had just purchased to have them take a look at it and suggest what work was needed. Wendell did all the measurements and played it and suggested no work was needed and boy did it feel good when a luthier says the guitar is in great shape. The honesty, friendliness, and great conversation I got made me want to go back for all my guitar needs and will suggest all my friends do the same. Love this place.
9. Bill Smith Music
Address: 2010 Debra Ln, Marietta, GA 30066 , Marietta , Georgia , United States
Fast! Reliable! Experienced and Dependable! Bill is fully equipped not only with the right tools but the knowledge, experience, and creativity to handle nearly any repair situation at your location!
He handled our Drum and Bugle Corps horns while on a stopover during their tour across Georgia with a very tight time schedule. He was also noted to be very pleasant and easy to discuss our needs with while not only providing excellent service but great solutions to keep us on track to perform later that same day!
Give Bill a call! You can’t go wrong with his services, knowledge and experience! And he’s mobile and comes to YOU, TOO!!!
Bill studied with one of the best teachers/technicians in the field….and carries on with that old school attention to detail, craftsmanship and pride in workmanship.
Bill has helped me out so many times in the past few months. Marching band has taken its toll on my instrument, but each time I’ve brought it into him, he’s fixed it quickly and pleasantly; it took longer for us to drive to him than it did for him to make the repair. He is almost always available too; I contacted him late at night with an emergency and he was able to fix my instrument very early the next morning, in time for a huge competition. If there’s ever a problem, even a slight one, with your instrument, let him know! He’ll respond in very little time, and he is so well-prepared to fix any issue that he comes across.
Disrespectful, immature, non professional, shouldn’t be allowed around kids
Rude and unprofessional towards me
I entered into a verbal agreement with this gentleman to buy a horn and did not live up to his contract. When I messaged him to make it right and threatened to go to the better business bureau he blocked me from making comments on his facebook page. I would be vary of doing business with this individual as he is quite shady.
10. Newsong Piano Rebuilders
Address: 604 Industrial Court Suite A, Marietta, GA 30066 , Marietta , Georgia , United States
Greg was wonderful to deal with. We had asked for a quote to refurbish an old family piano. After deciding not to invest in the refurbishment I discussed with Greg the possibility of purchasing one of the preowned pianos that he had in inventory. We met him on a Saturday to take a look at his inventory and after purchasing a beautiful piano at a great price; Greg was able to get us a delivery date of the next Monday. On Monday Cory made the delivery on time and took care getting the piano in the space that we wanted it placed. I will definitely use New Song for any future upkeep on our new piano and look forward to many years of music.
I just got my Samick upright piano tuned with Newsong Piano Rebuilders. Made the appointment with Greg and Corey came to tune the piano. He was on time, courteous, professional, and most importantly, tuned the piano perfectly. The piano has not been tuned for many years and has been moved across the ocean couple of times, but he brought the piano back to perfect pitch. I will definitely use their service again and recommend to others.
I used Newsong Piano Rebuilders to move a “baby grand” piano across town, and they did a wonderful job. The men that moved it were very competent, personable, knowledgeable and “piano people” themselves. I look forward to having Newsong tune the piano after a few weeks of acclimation to the new environment. I HIGHLY recommend them, at least as far as piano moving is concerned.
3 stars based on my phone experience
Called for a quote/info but was rather put off by the message at the beginning that my call would be recorded for quality and training purposes. I wanted to make sure that the call had gone to a local private business and not some National piano call-center that just referred leads. (like these traveling locksmiths).
When I asked questions to try to find out if the business was locally owned/operated, the man on the phone (Greg) got gruff and huffy and eventually hung up. Not the way to impress customers. I will use someone else!
Greg Lawrence has been a joy to work with from the start. We moved homes a year ago and, during the move, Mr. Lawrence gave us an offer to repair (restring) the piano, to which agreed it was time. While it did take a good deal longer to repair, and he would agree, due a heavy work load this summer, the work was well worth the wait. Our piano is getting close to a hundred years old and now the brass and interior look brand new and beautiful. He repaired the sound board, restrung, and fixed the action, among other things. Mr. Lawrence might be a busy man, but his work more than makes up for it!
Update: Take some accountability for your actions! I was only able to explain 75% of the issue before you talked over me, told me I was wrong, berated me, insulted my intelligence, denied that anything you could have done caused the problem, and you were not the one doing the work and have never never even seen my piano. Bottom line, the piano is in worse shape and unusable after you “fixed it”, and I am out $150.
Worst service I have ever received from an establishment. They showed up 45 minutes late. Did a poor job repairing the key and left it with a horrible squeaking sound, I’d prefer the key still be broke. Coincidently, when I called to ask about it, I was told it was a coincidence and it would be another $100 to come look at it. I was then verbally berated and told not to “Joe Biden him” for saying “come on man”.
To follow up….. we had a different company come tune the piano this year… they asked if we tried to fix it ourselves because the repair work was so done so poorly. They could not believe a piano rebuilder had done the work due to how bad it was “fixed”. Recommended asking for money back because of what a joke of a repair was done. Said he would have be embarrassed to do such poor work.
We needed two upright pianos moved from the same house. We explained in detail what had to be done, that one piano was in our basement and had to be moved up stairs or out the back and up a steep hill. They asked a lot of questions and said that they could do the job with three guys. They lied. They were 30 minutes late, *(made an excuse about being stuck behind a train) showed up with just two guys, one that looked about 60. He looked at our downstairs Piano exit and said that he could not do the job. This put me in a huge bind since I took off work to meet them and we had to be out of the house in 4 days. We asked why, after we had fully explained the job, and he made the excuse that his third guy had to go back to school, (you didn’t know that?) and that he was getting too old to do this kind of work, and that his truck was acting up and he was afraid it might breakdown. I count 4 lame excuses. Then he started giving me advice on how the next company should do the job! Are you kidding me?
We called another company and they took care of us. Again, don’t call this company!
Never would I ever use Newsong Piano again nor recommend them to anyone. I called Greg Lawrence and told him I had a baby grand to be moved but had a short window for him to do it. He stated that he had been doing this for over 40 years and they would only be at my home no more than 20 minutes. He arrived in a dirty and cluttered box van with a disheveled toolbag that proved to be as bad as it looked when he could not locate the tools he needed to remove the legs from the piano. He proceeded to remove the pedals and then moved to one of the legs. It was here that the straw that broke the camels back occurred. He was unable to remove the leg nor seemed to even know how to remove it while cursing and mouthing horrible comments about the piano. He did not seem to know how to even find out how to remove the leg. He then stated he was unable to move the piano, packed his tools and promptly departed my home without apology. I stood in disbelief while exercising restraint to not confront him with my thoughts about not only him but his company Newsong Piano. I then called another company and they arrived shortly thereafter, displayed very professional mannerisms, and prepared, loaded and moved the piano in less than 30 minutes without incident or difficulty. They had no double removing the legs and could not understand how a practicing piano mover could not remove the legs. I would not recommend Newsong Piano Rebuilders for any type of service at any level. Stay away and do NOT believe their advertising reference their abilities and experience.
11. Whipkey’s Music Inc
Address: 2949 Canton Rd, Marietta, GA 30066 , Marietta , Georgia , United States
Always knowledgeable and friendly. Great place to have your instruments serviced or repaired.
Helpful, knowledgable, friendly! Very pleased with their service.
Love the quality of the products and the instruction.
Went in to have them take a look at a vintage tenor sax. He was nice enough to come in from home to look at it for me. Unfortunately he wasn’t able to tell me anything I didn’t already know and thats why I gave 3 stars. But a big thanks for comming in.
Great customer service!
We came in last Sunday to rent a cello for middle school orchestra. We interacted with all 3 of the individuals working and we found them to be helpful and very knowledgeable. I did think it was odd at first to not go into the actual store but I get that they are still adhering to Covid protocols to (I assume) protect the health and safety of their employees and the owners. You do have to wear masks in the space next door they are using for customer service but they had some in case you didn’t and also give you the option to help you outside or curbside while you wait in your car. That didn’t bother me at all because I feel like they were easy to work with and we got a very nice instrument at a competitive rental program and the fact they do things old school doesn’t phase me one bit.
Bad expirience. Old lady was so rude and discriminating my spiking accents. Way over priced rent and product to buy. Never again walk in that place. Store was smell like McDonalds.
I called to see if I could get a replacement screw for a piccolo. The woman who answered their phone was very curt and rude and I had to repeat myself twice before she actually heard my question.
Was excited to find a music store so close to home but was disappointed with a few things after visiting. We didn’t really receive any kind of welcome when we arrived (i.e.- service wasn’t very friendly). When we mentioned the school we were from and that we were looking for a starter clarinet the guy behind the counter said something indicating that we probably wouldn’t stick with band for more than a year. Finally, they would not take a debit card. So, we went down the street to Ken Stanton. They were very friendly and walked us through everything in a very professional manner… and they took our debit card. I was hoping to find that small business with the family atmosphere but Whipkey’s was far from that.
12. Music & Arts
Address: 3805 Dallas Hwy Suite 108, Marietta, GA 30064 , Marietta , Georgia , United States
Amazing store, with amazing deals, with amazing people. Especially Doug, he got me a great deal on some pretty cool stuff. Awesome service, thanks Doug
Attended the grand opening/ customer appreciation event. It was very well done. Scored some REALLY nice swag from Martin, Fender and Gibson.
There were a couple of food trucks compliments of the store. The Marietta High School Band performed.
Thanks to Scott at registration for taking good care of me and my family.
Helped with getting a clarinet. Answered all my quesrions. Very helpful.
Been renting my daughter flute from here and had to get it service. Received excellent service from Cailey from beginning to end. We were able to leave with a loaner and return with a week for our instrument. Very pleased with service, knowledgeable staff, and cost.
Helpful, friendly employees. I wish the store was a little larger to have more inventory, but I’m sure they’ll stock up when back-to- school season comes around.
This rating is in no way regarding the store itself, but pertains more to the on-line side of the business overall. I placed an order for a cleaning kit through Music and Arts on-line store for my son days ago and have yet to receive the product. When I called customer service for an update this week I was told the kit was on back order and no update was available as to when it would be completed. I called again the next day for an update and again. I was told they didn’t know when the order would be completed and that they sent an email to the Associate handling the issue which should take a day or two for a response. It’s now day 3 and I have yet to hear from anyone. What concerns me the most is that I never received communication the order was on back order day one and that it’s now day 3 and I have yet to receive a call from a Supervisor or the business with an update. I placed the order online initially thinking it would arrive to my son whose away in college sooner than it would take me to purchase it in store and pay for shipping. Now, I’m having to drive to their store which is more than an hour away, purchase the kit and pay for shipping. It’s going to cost me more in gas, time, purchasing the product and pay to ship it myself. I would advise ANYONE to buy from this business online. The customer service is very poor!
Music & Arts’ customer service is non-existent, I am not sure why they deserve a one star, but that’s as low as one can go. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY WHERE YOU HAVE TO DEAL WITH ITS CUSTOMER SERVICE … that’s my advice to everyone.
How do you run a business by closing for lunch with no return time listed on your away sign?! Took my business to Ken Stanton instead. Poor business practice made you miss out on a $300 sale.
13. Ken Stanton Music
Address: 3636 Dallas Hwy SW, Marietta, GA 30064 , Marietta , Georgia , United States
I came here two years ago to get my guitar strings fixed. The staff are really friendly people, and they really know their stuff about music and instruments. I would come here more often if only I lived in the Cobb County area.
Great service from a very knowledgable staff!
Very good staff
Smaller than the one on Cobb parkway. Friendly staff. No complaints. Just a pretty limited selection.
Wasn’t able to be in this store for 5 minutes trying to find my 4 year old an instrument to learn without two of the employees hounding him to not touch anything. As a professional musician trust me I have my son trained to be careful around expensive instruments. I also picked up a guitar to play and think about purchasing it but the guy told me they are supposed to bring it down and hand it to me, I said I know how to handle a guitar and he says “not a $1,300 guitar” I’ll take my business elsewhere.
Staff is helpful to get the sale but be careful… Merchandise is expensive and there’s no returns because of Covid. They don’t tell you about that detail before you spend your money!
I find it hard to believe a store would go out of their way to lose a potential sale. I live in Carrollton Georgia so I don’t get out there much and I asked to exchange an un-used microphone I purchased from them (over 90 days ago) for another item. They told me no. That’s basically it. Who says that to a potential customer? I know your starving for business but ok I’ll purchase elsewhere from now on. I like companies that are interested in my business. I recommend Willcutt guitars
14. Jennings Music & Education Center
Address: 3595 Canton Rd Suite 308, Marietta, GA 30066 , Marietta , Georgia , United States
We LOVE Jennings! My kids look forward to piano with Ms. Karen every week. They do such an amazing job with kids! Karen is patient, warm, and knows just how much to challenge both my kids. I feel like my kids are actually getting music education, not just piano. We highly recommend Jennings and Karen!
I definitely loved these people, I went to this store from North Carolina ( Almost 5 hours of drive ) and I didn’t regret it at all, they had exactly what I was looking for.I loved the good vibe that you get when you enter and how attentive they were to me and my daughter.I would definitely go back if necessary.
Edit: I was called the day of this review and my issues resolved within the week. I have never received such a quick response to a complaint and it counts for a lot in my mind. I can tell that their reputation and customer satisfaction is important. I’m going to give them the benefit of the doubt regarding my previous experiences and change my review. I’m not sure why the ball was dropped previously but they made sure to fix the problem and apologize. Everyone makes mistakes but their willingness to take responsibility and handle the situation was refreshing.
BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE!!! I signed up for a lease to own plan for a bass at this store. The plan is supposed to include repairs and a size upgrade because my son is 13 and still growing. About 8 months into the plan the bridge was broken on the bass (a simple fix) and I was told to expect 3 weeks for repairs. 3 weeks turned into several months. I had to start going in person everyday and basically harassing the staff to give him his bass. They never gave him his bass back. They gave him a very beat up bass and told me not to worry about the appearance as he would not keep this bass and would have one in better condition once the contract was up as the size would be upgraded. However, once I took the bass home to my son he informed me that this bass was smaller than the original one he was given and so he couldn’t practice at all. I informed the store of this in August, it is now January. The store is completely unresponsive and unless I start harassing them again, they’ll leave me with a product I can’t use but still charge me monthly for it.
The people there are very friendly, courteous
Nice store. Very friendly and helpful. If I ever consider leasons for anything, I’d definitely consider them.
These people were extremely rude and impatient this evening. I was trying to reach a salesman that left another store. I need a cello but I will not buy from these people. Instead of trying to sell me something they simply hung up in my face. I called right back thinking it was a mistake and they were not kind. They lack good communication skills and have no customer service skills at all. I was expecting them to say, “… the person you are looking for does not work here but we would love to assist you with a purchase”.
Way over priced !!!!! My son in high school needed a mouth piece for his instrument. Jennings wanted to charge almost $70. You can get them for $20 in Kennesaw and YES they are acceptable and standard in the class room. Wow! I am so tired of this area trying to over charge.
15. Music & Arts
Address: 1255 Johnson Ferry Rd Suite 9, Marietta, GA 30068 , Marietta , Georgia , United States
The staff are very helpful and knowledgeable. And the music teachers are amazing.
Awesome store, great staff, lesson program is phenomenal. I highly recommend this place for all music needs. I went in looking for a very specific instrument, which they didn’t have. But, the store manager was able to order me one and it was here in less than a week, and I LOVE it. Thanks Music & Arts!
I have rented instruments for my daughter from Music & Arts. The individuals who work here have always gone above and beyond to provide exceptional service. Though i live intown, i happily travel to this location because i know i will receive the best service and product.
They have very limited selection however they can usually order in something if you need it.
Friendly staff. We arrived late in the day to purchase our son’s first Euphonium supplies. They were able to help us quickly purchase all we needed.
it’s ok but maybe you won’t find the brands that you are looking for.
This location is understaffed, inefficient and not well-trained. They cancelled our instrument order and did not create a new order. My daughter now is without an instrument for her class. I have called twice, and no staff can provide information on getting one. So disappointed and frustrated. Avoid this location.
Like other reviews say, they overcharge if you don’t know what to look for. When I first bought something for my child’s instrument, I just went in and had them recommend something. Later I found out you could get the same thing at another store for about $40 less.
Do your research before you go here or you’ll probably lose money.
There are other good alternatives
11/6/20> They overcharged me for months. Upon followup i learn that they doubled the price because i didnt ask them at the end of the rental period. This allows them to charge excess continuously.
2/4/21 > They are really blood thirsty vamps. Their greed is so much that their are continuously charging unauthorized fees.
Nice place. Charles was so nice and kind. He’ll fix your violin and teach you all about classical music.
They were very helpful and have good deals on the monthly rent. Their service is amazing and the instrument was in great condition.
This place is the best music store in Atlanta believe me I got my first viola from here the owners we’re really nice Charles and ying they were so helpful they have everything you need and it’s honestly a wonderful experience.
I went there to rent a cello, but the card we were using was not working. Turns out that they only took credit card for rentals. We didn’t know that, so we went to a local ATM to deposit money for the rental. When I walked back into the store, I was greeted by an old, rude Chinese lady. I wasn’t even in the building, I only opened the door and she asked me if I had a credit card, and I said no, I asked if they took any other cards but it was only credit for rentals. We thought we had a credit card but the lady was speaking at us in a loud tone, saying it wasn’t a credit card. We had to buy a used cello for $350 in cash. There was a guy there, never got his name but super nice guy, asked him a whole bunch and questions and he replied in a nice tone. He was so nice, but the lady, not so ever. Great place though. They have tons of instruments for beginners.
I have been trying to call on Wednesday to get my sons child repaired( our school district has no school on Wednesday), but they haven’t been able to return any of my calls at 1 pm. This is not good service
Mandarin Strings came highly recommended. However, when we went to return the instrument, we were met with extreme rudeness. I will never rent from this business again.
Hi, I know we have a lot going on. I’ve been leaving messages for week and I can’t get anyone to call me back. Why is there no other way to get in touch with them
First time I went there was a rude Chinese lady who attended us. I then went back hoping she wasn’t here and she wasn’t , there was a nice lady and that’s who I bought the instrument with. BUT NOW I’VE BEEN WITH MY INSTRUMENT ALMOST A YEAR AND IT KEEPS MAKING A BUZZING SOUND , HATE IT !!
