My daughter has been taking piano classes for almost a year now. Ms. Eniko is a very good teacher. She is experienced and good with kids. My daughter loves her.

Great place to visit and have a after market radio or remote starter put in. Speak to John he will take good care of ya very fair on prices
Very helpful and knowledgeable.
Have bought from Frank several times and always a pleasure to do business with him. His prices are
always a reason to buy but the service after the sale is most important and Franks service is beyond
expectation. I have recommended friends to Frank who after buying say he is the best to deal with.
He has gone beyond expectations when customers have had any kind of problems, some that the
customer has created. Frank becomes a good friend who is always there for the customer.
Sincerely, Lloyd Erickson, Florida.
Terrible customer service and products. Got a subwoofer that was distorted. They wouldn’t accept a full refund, wanted a restocking fee, and didn’t want to pay for shipping. Their rude customer service rep closed my return ticket and I filed for a dispute with my credit card company. Terrible business, will not recommend anyone who wants quality products and satisfactory customer service.
Great record store nicely located in downtown Milford right near the train line. The store is small but with a nicely curated selection of vinyl, especially punk and hardcore but other genres as well. The owners are enthusiastic and love talking about music. Definitely worth a visit!
Great store! I stopped in for the first time on Saturday to bring in some records I had, and the owner was so friendly. The store was really busy, which I was happy to see. I’m definitely going back to buy some records. There’s a great selection.
This is the second time I’ve been to Static Era and the place is awesome. It’s great to have a record store that still sells records new and used and they sell a lot of local bands music also. I would highly recommend Static Era if you are a music lover and vinyl lover.
5. Jim Clark Music
Address: 588 Boston Post Rd, Milford, CT 06460 , Milford , Connecticut , United States
The best guitar teacher and music instructor in new England, no exaggeration. I came to Jim 10 years ago a young guitar player who thought he had some chops under his belt little did I know I knew nothing. I walked through the door of his shop and my life changed forever. Through his extensive knowledge of music and wisdom I was able to take my guitar playing to levels I never thought possible. As soon as I put my ego aside and took his method on with full force I was honing my instrument in ways I couldn’t see before. I went from barley keeping time and sloppy technique to a well oiled machine. I couldn’t believe the progress I was seeing. I tried other ways of learning before Jim took me under his wing, videos, books, tabs all paled in comparison to the one on one teachings of the master! if you ask any guitar player worth there salt in the area about Jim Clark they wont hesitate to tell you he is the real deal, a true legend of the CT music scene. if your serious about music and looking to get on the road to mastering you instrument there is only one place to go, matter of fact quit reading this review get in the car and get down to his shop and witness the Jim Clark experience for yourself, trust me you wont be disappointed!!!!
Jim is the best guitar teacher in our area both for beginners and experienced players. He is a phenomenal musician with a tremendous depth of musical knowledge. You can tell he truly cares about the improvement of his students and he will push you to be better.
I had been playing guitar for over 20 years before working with Jim. I had hit a plateau in my development but it only took Jim a few lessons to start bringing my playing and understanding of music to the next level.
I highly recommend. Give your kid or yourself the gift of music!
– Joe C.
I’ve known Jim for about 8 years now, and have taken guitar lessons with him for the better part of those years, and it was the best decision I have ever made. Every week I look forward to coming into the studio, about what we’ll talk about and play. Jim is the most patient person I have ever met, he really takes the time to help you with any issue, and never makes you feel bad about yourself. He truly cares about every single one of us who take lessons, he devotes ALL of his time to us. He is beyond generous with his time and knowledge; he doesn’t treat any of us as a business. He is so caring and never lets us leave the studio without any confidence or losing sight of why we are there. Everything I know about music I owe it to Jim. Every musician I admire, every album that shaped me, is because he showed me the way. I am in awe of everything he knows and shares with us; things I never thought I’d learn or understand, things that you don’t learn at any other music studio you walk in, guaranteed. From music theory, composition, jamming, finding my own sound, writing my own music, all of which I learned from him. And to top it all of, he’s the real wizard when it comes to music instruments. He built me the most beautiful guitar in the world. He spent a lot of his free time, working on it, to make sure it was perfect, and I can tell you, that is is perfect indeed. Do yourself a favor, give Jim a call, come down to the studio, meet him and you’ll see that everything we tell you about him, it not even half of it. He truly is the greatest musician (and person) you could ever have the chance to meet and learn from.
Jim Clark was a music teacher for my daughter for 4 years. It was a mistake to use him. He constantly complains about how his students don’t measure up to him, how his business if failing and how he is never happy. When confronted, he made us leave the studio. Although talented, his faults ultimately led to his unprofessionalism and his lack of care and concern for his students and their families. Don’t use Jim Clark.
6. Route 1 Guitars
Address: 189 Bridgeport Ave, Milford, CT 06460 , Milford , Connecticut , United States
They have everything one can need and even a student discount if you take lessons the people are very kind and polite and far cheaper than guitar center
Brought a Strat in for a setup. They were great to deal with and had a quick turn around. Will definitely be back.
I have always wanted to learn to play guitar. I decided to finally give it a try and have not regretted one minute. I always like to support my local businesses so I decided to give Route 1 Guitars a try. the moment I walked in there, the owners especially Gail and the staff have been very help full and supportive. I have also used them for servicing my guitars with no issues. Would highly recommend them for your next guitar, amp, and service. I’m also told if they don’t have a guitar in stock they can get it. There is a reason why this local business has been around for a while. Support local. Buy local.
Knowledgeable staff, in addition to guitars, keyboards, etc… They have school instrument rentals
Nice staff
Sent my guitar (Fender Jazzmaster) for connection electric issue. After roughly a week and a half guitar was done just for it to have the same issue. What a disappointment
Absolute joke of a store.
Call before visiting the store. They say they’re open at 12:30 but don’t show up for hours after the fact. I get it, they’re a small operation, but wasting your local customer’s time doesn’t breed repeat customers. I needed to be in the store three times. All three times, my time was wasted because the store wasn’t open during their own published times of operation. Just rent your kid’s instrument from somewhere else.
This was one the best experiences I ever had using their services. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely encourage anyone to do business with them. They take pride in customer service .
Great shop , quality products and a friendly staff!!!
Good people…no worries about leaveing my goods with them and always fair on the loan
Was the only place in town that had a tool I needed to get my saw running. They let me borrow the tool, reset the carb and fire it up in the lot to make sure it was good to go. No charge, just happy to help. Thanks guys!
Went in to try and sell a bike I don’t use. While we couldn’t come to an agreement, at no point were the guys condescending or rude. They were professional and honest. One reviewer said loud rap music was playing when he went in – I don’t think any music was playing when I went in and the desk seems a little high up even from their side to be putting their feet up. Go in understanding that it’s a business, you’re not going to get what the item is worth – how would a pawn shop stay in business if they paid you what the item is worth. Don’t be dense. I’d definitely come back to sell an item taking up too much space and just wanted a few quick bucks.
These guys are very fair and work with you. I recommend them to everyone
This place saw an opportunity to screw me and they took. I took a small loan on nearly $2500 worth of high precision measuring instruments. I was out of state when the bill was due and begged them to let me pay by debit card which they refused. When I returned to pay they had sold my stuff at a tremendous profit. People who take advantage of other people’s hardship are dirt. I am heartbroken now.
I don’t know how I let this happen, One thing is obvious is I put the responsibility in someone else’s hands and reaped the consequences but the policy that you adhere to is flawed and is clearly designed to create a scenario that makes it more difficult than it has to be to pay the loans which subsequently puts the odds of the items being forfeited in your favor and I made a clear effort to pay it within my capacity. I can’t trust anyone but myself however I accept full responsibility.
My poor friend pawned her diamond ring and they said they lost it and were not responsible for it.
Very rude employs are lazy and do not listen
10. In-Tune Guitar Works
Address: 53 Saranac Rd, Milford, CT 06461 , Milford , Connecticut , United States
Greg at In-Tune Guitar Woks did the nearly impossible for me – he created a truly “wide neck” Jazz archtop by converting a 7 string instrument into a 6 string one! I have been searching for a wide neck Jazz archtop for nearly two years, but no such beast can be found in the wild (or in any store, whether brick and mortar or online – such a thing just doesn’t exist). I am really tall and I have huge hands and long fingers, and “off the rack” guitars are too small for me. Greg was able to convert a beautiful Eastman Jazz Elite 7 string archtop into a “wide neck” 6 string by carefully replacing the nut with a custom spaced one, reslotting the bridge and realigning the tailpiece, as well as make other really minute and subtle alterations to the guitar. There is no “template” or “playbook” for this and the standard luthier tools are not designed for it, so Greg did all of this wonderful work by meticulous hand, and the result is spectacular! Greg took the extra time to consult with me along the way, while we made set-up choices that are unique to such a conversion. Nearly two years of frustration vanished instantly when I receive my new guitar. This was a unique project, and Greg surpassed all expectations. I highly recommend him and his service, In-Tune Guitar Works, for your next project or set-up.
I brought my LP to Greg to have a nut replaced and new strings installed. He did a beauful job cutting and fitting a new bone nut to replace the original which had broken and set the guitar up beautifully-it has never sounded this good or played this well. I am planning on having greg set up my PRS next and would recommend him highly.
11. Progressive Music CT
Address: 260 Old Gate Ln, Milford, CT 06461 , Milford , Connecticut , United States
My special needs son has been seeing Sal Grillo at Progressive Music for years. Sal’s other staff members also are kind and courteous. Sal’s great sense of humor, always having a smile and rapport with my son makes learning and practicing a positive experience. I’m amazed at how far Progressive Music has taken my son.
Sal is the best teacher I’ve had by far. It is clear to me that he customizes his lesson plans for each student. Sal has really helped me refine my strengths and identify/improve my weaknesses.
He’s also a great guy to talk to. If I’m ever getting bored with my studies, I feel comfortable telling him and he sends me home with something that gets me excited about practicing again. 11/10. Please don’t retire ever.
Sal is an amazing teacher, he has the ability to get the most out of my son, not only as a teacher to a student, but also a friend, my son actually looks forward to his lessons!!!!

Address: 5 Yale Ave, Milford, CT 06460 , Milford , Connecticut , United States
The Sulls made our wedding an unforgettable experience! They were awesome and interacted with the crowd all night. They played the best music and people danced the entire time! From start to finish, our guests were coming up to us to tell us how great the band was. I didn’t leave the dance floor all night – not even for a grilled cheese or dessert! They also provided great recommendations whenever we needed help throughout the planning process.
Everyone was also raving about the photo booth they brought – it was so cool!
Great band, friendly people, super easy to work with. Highly recommended, had such a great experience!
WHAT A NIGHT!! The Sulls played our wedding at Saltwater Farm Vineyard and made the party! We had an absolute blast dancing and singing to the perfect mix of classics, rock, r&b and pop punk throwbacks. It seriously felt like we were at a concert. We were blown away!! The next day all of our guests did not stop talking about how great the band was and asking how we found them! Brendan and Kyle were also extremely professional and easy to work with. Book The Sulls if you love to party and are looking for five star entertainment beyond your typical wedding band!
19. Engel Guitars
Address: Stratford, CT 06615 , Milford , Connecticut , United States
Rob Engel is a master luthier who’s work is probably the best in the state. His guitars play better than just about every custom shop guitar I’ve ever tried and he brings other guitars up several levels with even the smallest of tuneups.
I had my 1966 Epiphone casino refretted and set up by Rob. I took it home and can’t put it down. The setup is so perfect The job is so immaculate. I plan on bringing more guitars to Rob for setups. Best setup and refret I’ve ever had. Thanks Rob
Rob is a tremendous craftsman and his work is unparalleled. I’d highly recommend Engel Guitars for a custom one-of-kind guitar or a set-up/tune-up for any guitar currently in your stable. 5 stars all the way.
20. Audioworks
Address: 260 Old Gate Ln, Milford, CT 06460 , Milford , Connecticut , United States
These guys are great, excellent customer service, above what I expected, clean installation. Would recommend them to everyone
very professional and very fast
Just had my Ford Edge tinted and they did an amazing job. The little things and the attention to details is what gets me back to that business. After a car gets tinted you cannot lower the windows for at least 2 days if it’s in the sun all day. He went ahead and added a sicker on my window buttons saying Do Not Lower Window. I loved that! They did an awesome job. My tints looks amazing. I’m going back to get my car audio system upgraded. Thank you again.
Had my windows tinted here had them done there times and still all filled with bubbles and contamination. Stay away from this place. Terrible.
Was supposed to have a back up camera and back up sensors installed in my truck. Was working with Dave.
I was told the parts are on order for the entire summer. He never called me I always called him to check the status. Was always told they are on ordered. Like a fool I gave him the benefit of the doubt for just about a year. I found it hard to believe so I stopped calling to inquire and he never called me to tell me the parts had arrived. My guess is the parts were never ordered and I just wasn’t important enough as a repeat customer. I’ll be taking my business elsewhere.
I had these guys put a set of speakers and an amp a few years back. and finally I decided to upgrade the system. I was told by another shop that they gave a s#$%^ job. and he show me how everything was connected. I was very disappointed. I paid these guys a lot of money and I still could not get a decent job. for the speakers they use dried wall screen to the body of the car. so my car was rattling. then they use the wrong bracket for the speaker. so more rattling. the twitter were just hanging there by a small thread. the wiring was very sloppy. it has to be redon. my speakers were making a buzzing sound as well. and to top it off. the amp that was installed is a good amp. but they just place it under the seat. with no bracket to hold it. so had to keep moving it back. seriously, this is one of the worse. Do not give them your hard earn money if they cannot do the job properly.
