Most knowledgeable music store in Montrose , the guy is awesome and you can tell that he has a real passion for what he’s selling, even the other day I came in for an XLR cord and as we chatted for a bit about musical stuff I could see some music project open on his computer which shows even when at work he’s dedicated to what he loves, really enjoy shopping here. And they carry awesome quality equipment, I saw the comment from the guy complaining. Anyone in their right mind should know a music store is no play store for kids. Will always keep shopping here until they close their doors, which I hope is never!!! Lol
I love this store. I’ve bought a guitar, and two ukuleles from him. I’m about to buy another ukulele sometime soon. I will always go here. The owner is so nice and it seems we have pretty good conversation when I go in. The main reason is I wanted a hard case for a ukulele I had bought and the other music stores wouldn’t order the case for me, the cases are normally more expensive than the ukulele so they wouldn’t bother. Ken on the other hand made sure I knew this and made sure before ordering I wanted to go through with it. I feel like that was really respectful of him and that’s one of the main reasons I will go to Montrose Music when I need any instruments.
So I had to get a new string and I left
that place with 3 new guitar picks a new string set (nylon) and at a very affordable price
Helpfull
too be fair the poor man is going out of business. I was still shocked he didn’t have any guitar strings. Neither online or on the storefront does it mention goin out of business , I learned that when he told me he didn’t have single strings. So I asked for a set and I guess he should have said I have no strings.
Good small store. Owner very knowledgeable.
Disinterested worker. I tried to buy local. I did my homework on an instrument for a gift. He said it didn’t exist and pretty much left it at that. I bought online instead.
I was in with my family to shop for a guitar. My oldest wants to learn it next. There was a shallow drum balanced on 2 bongos. The shallow wood frame drum rolled off as I walked by, I’m a big guy, I don’t think I touched it. The man behind the counter stormed out grumbled angrily at my youngest not to touch anything, picked up the drum as she recoiled, then stormed back behind the counter. Watch out for the troll.
