Friendly place, local music store with lessons and variety of your classic rock instruments. They know their stuff.
Great music store
Wonderful tutors
It’s an alright place
I was visiting Arkansas for a short time and had a last-minute need for an accessory for my USB microphone. I tried to call them numerous times over two days and no one ever answered the phone, nor did anyone ever return my call despite my leaving a message on the answering machine. So I risked it and drove to the store (because they were the only thing around the area), and when I got to the store I could see that unless I was a guitar player or drummer, I was probably out of luck. I just needed a wind sock for my microphone. They had ONE product that fit that description – with four socks, and all small. I finally had to settle on getting a popscreen instead. I honestly think in my particular situation I would’ve been better off ordering something online or going to BestBuy.
Selection was ok. Only 2 left handed guitars both strata, no lefty basses. Limited drum selection. Good selection of music books and accessories, though. Guy behind the counter (older dude named Tom) was a jerk both times I’ve been in there. Will not be going back
I had a very unpleasant experince with this place. My daughter’s saxophone needed to be fixed, so I took it to this store. Well almost 7 weeks passed and they never called me. When I called them to see if it was ready, they said it was ready. I went to pick it up just to learn that it was not fixed. They were very unpolite the whole time. They said it was fixed when I knew it wasn’t and there was no receipt/details of the work they “did” to it. So they game me a number to call. So I called the number, which is the place who they work with to fix the instruments in Fayatteville. They said they had no record of our instrument. So basically they never sent my daughters saxophone to them and they never called me to let me know what was going on. I understand sometimes things happen, but they basically never accepted they made a mistake. I was very polite with them, eventhough I was not happy about this whole situation. I will not be going to this place again, or reccomend it to anybody. And by the way, one of the owners, who has blonde/reddish hair, is one of the most inpolite person I ever met. We’ve been going to this place for years and if he is there, we know it’s not going to be good. He is rude and has poor customer service skills.
2. Meteor Guitar Gallery
Address: 128 W Central Ave, Bentonville, AR 72712 , Moros , Arkansas , United States
Very friendly service and cool instruments! I’ve heard great things about the venue and hope to attend a show soon!
Beautiful displays
Mac is the bestest! <3
We went to the Amy Winehouse Experience. We really didn’t care for the show because we felt like the show made a mockery of Amy’s final days of addiction and mental struggles. I wish the show would have celebrated Amy’s ironic voice over the sad drunken end of her days. Also they’re band was so loud you could barely hear Jenna’s “Amy” voice. Not sure if that was the band or house issue.
As far as the venue, we liked it. The staff was friendly and the place has a beautiful historic chill vibe. At the time (3/26) it was a BYOB but I think that might be changing? We will be back to check it out again.
Enjoy the venue every event!
Went in for the Kiss-A-Pig 2019 preview party that was being held here and I must say that I really enjoyed the atmosphere that Meteor has. The guitars are simply beautiful, while the stage isn’t too high from the floor, but also not too low. The acoustics aren’t bad either for the bands that play here, as Snapback was the entertainment for the evening, the audio didn’t bounce off the walls as much as I thought it would due to the size of the room. Definitely a cool place to check out when in Bentonville!
Worst experience with a music store ever! Lack of knowledge. Limited amount of guitar strings. Just terrible experience first and last time there!
Canceled concert and never got refund
3. liljshootamusicsite.com
Address: 140 S Carolina St, Marianna, AR 72360 , Moros , Arkansas , United States
I had an absolutely wonderful experience buying guitars for my grandsons for Christmas. Daniel was extremely helpful!
I take voice lessons from Ronnie and Jamie McDaniel. 5 Stars!
Usually busy because they’re good at what they do!
My guitar was in for repairs for about 4 months. Almost no communication was provided about status of the repair work. It’s understandable with Covid making it difficult to have parts shipped, but the lack of adequate communication was uncomfortably disappointing. I don’t blame the young individual who was working on my guitar, but rather leadership who should have provided direction on appropriate and timely customer service communication. It doesn’t matter to me that it would have taken considerable time for repairs. But the lack of communication stating that due to a backlog in parts, and it was just a waiting game, would have been enough. A 30 second phone call every couple of weeks or so to advise a customer that no progress has been made is better than nothing…it would have been enough to have left my guitar there for months longer. The ironic thing about all this is that I really like the store and the people at Palmer Music, so I will most likely continue to purchase my music supplies from them and I hope my experience there was a one-off….
I was looking at electric guitars and they didn’t offer to let me plug any of them in. How are you truly going to know if you like one or not if you can’t hear the sound.
Went in expecting to buy a new guitar on 01/26/2023. The man behind the counter was very unfriendly & unhelpful.
I found one I wanted to buy but I just didn’t really want to give my money to a person who didn’t know how to smile.
Another employee walked by and was even more emotionless than the other guy. I left feeling very unwelcome.
I will not be back.
Go to GUITAR CENTER instead (you can actually have FUN there).
5. The Musician’s Exchange
Address: 2221 Alma Hwy, Van Buren, AR 72956 , Moros , Arkansas , United States
They have very helpful and friendly personnel working there. If they don’t have exact what you are looking for, they don’t try to pressure you into buying anything but help keep an eye out for what you want. They have a lot to choose from and are always getting new items in. Any musician should check them out for upgrades to existing equipment; or, just to see what they have in stock.
Best customer service in town with the best prices! Love this store!
Amazing service, great selection! Wish I had stopped in sooner
This is one of only a handful of places in the River Valley you can buy instruments and accessories from. It’s a place I can drop in quickly for new strings or sticks. They offer some set-up/repair services from entry to intermediate difficulty. Keep to the kids close (or at the house), as various instruments and/or parts are laying around in some areas of the sales floor, making for somewhat treacherous terrain and unclear pricing. Staff are generally friendly and helpful, though you may have to approach them directly for help. I prefer this myself. Glad they’re here.
Drove by & stopped because I’m new to the area and was looking for a music store. I’m a new drummer, so I was only curious about their drum supplies. Sadly, they had very little drum stuff, with only a handful of used cymbals for sale on display that I could try out.
The few drum sets they had were used, in bad condition & were stacked (not on stands or with heads on them). So, I was a bit disappointed.
Store looked a bit old, dirty & run down. The two guys working behind the counter were busy chatting with regular customers, but did welcome me when I entered the store. They were pleasant enough (which is why I gave 3 stars instead of 2). Wish they had more quality drum stuff to offer.
Interesting selection of mostly used gear. Friendly folks!
Dropped my guitar off before Christmas was told it would be ready 2nd week of January. Called 3rd week was told not yet. Called 1st week of February was told it was being repaired. Called 4th week was told it would be ready today or tomorrow. Still not ready. Called March 2nd was told still not ready had not started on it had no idea when they would start on it or when it would be ready. Then the smart ass says if I am in a hurry I could just come and get it he did not care.
Dropped a guitar off for the owner to look at. He told me over the phone he’d give $150 for it and only a few hours later when I came in to get the money he prints me a ticket off and hands me $100. I reminded him that wasn’t what we agreed on and all he said was “that’s all I can do unless you want me to undo the transaction”. Not good business in my opinion. He lost a customer over 50 bucks. :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
And now he’s calling me a liar. This isn’t some story I made up when I was bored, it actually happened. Remember the guitar was dropped off so it could be appraised. I don’t enjoy writing bad reviews but this one was earned.
Hate it I could not find a clarinet ,:(
6. Beautiful Noise Music
Address: 213 W Arch Ave, Searcy, AR 72143 , Moros , Arkansas , United States
Beautiful noise is the only place I’ve taken my instruments to be worked on in the last 20 years. Great work and affordable
The most honest, knowledge, helpful, and kind music guy you can find! He knows his and your stuff!
Perfect place for music lessons. Calm and very informative, my son is loving it.
I would like to give more Stars.however it is very small and only a handful of merchandise.they didn’t even have nylon strings.

7. Quattlebaum Music Center
Address: 101 W Arch Ave, Searcy, AR 72143 , Moros , Arkansas , United States
In town for a radio station visit and had some time to kill, went for a stroll and stumbled across Quattlebaum Music. As soon as we walked in, we saw an awesome selection of new and used equipment. Paige was really sweet and told us about the history of the shop, as it’s been in the family for about 50 years! As we browsed around, Greg and Bobby introduced themselves and brought out some amazing vintage guitars for us to check out! Sooo cool! Talk about a local store with awesome staff who truly care about what they are doing and offer amazing customer service. I don’t think it gets much better than that!
Highly recommend stopping in and we will be back to visit next time we roll through!
You will find good deals here, and the staff are so friendly!!
Such a neat shop! Great variety of instruments and a very helpful staff!
Great hometown music store! Great selection of both new and classic electric guitars serviced by a wonderful, friendly staff. Family owned for decades!
Nice friendly staff
good music store
Very rude to my wife and all she did was ask a queston please don’t do business with these people we don’t need rude people in this town.
Great home town store
I’ve purchased things from here before, but today, I felt as though my business was not wanted. I took a violin in due to having issues tuning it and the bridge popping off. Was told what I need to do. Told them thank you and asked my daughter if she wanted to look around. Was told to have a nice day. Was not asked if I needed help with anything else. Employee just walked away
8. Shuffield Music Company
Address: 610 Main St, Arkadelphia, AR 71923 , Moros , Arkansas , United States
I bought a guitar from Paul online and I’m so happy to know it was a privately owned business.
Thanks Paul for the guitar and the excellent customer service. Hope to visit you one day!
Great place for your music needs.
Gotta enjoy this place. I mostly go for strings for my guitars, primarily D’addario, Dunlop, and Exlir, which they carry here. I’ve bought the handful of others, though: straps, picks, cables (Stagg, to be exact). All solid and worth it. Quality stuff here.
Not to bad
Great local music store. We have shopped here for years.
Rude
Good place to buy guitars, don’t ask them to fix anything you own uness you want it damaged.
9. Valley Piano Co
Address: 3515 W Main St, Russellville, AR 72801 , Moros , Arkansas , United States
I love this store! It’s a little crowded with merchandise but you can always find what your looking for!
Loved it! They have a great selection of not only pianos but guitars, amps and a lot of other accessories. The staff were very friendly and helpful!
I got my boyfriend a guitar for Christmas. And he loves it. The customer service is fantastic.
Great people, a very old store
I went into to buy a guitar. Very small selection
Lots of sheet music and DVDs but it is all on the computer today. Wonderful people. I wish them well!
My visit was to test the integrity of an electric guitar I had. Spoke to the guy behind the counter. (The one with the gray streaked goatee). Told him I was preparing to sell it via Facebook, and all I want to do is see if it sounds as it should. He said it was ok I was like great thanks. The buyer was from outta town and was shopping for guitar supplies. She had just bought amp still needed a cord possibly more. Asked her to meet up there since she was just down the road. She wanted to go in do to the rain. Instantly he started ranting that he’s a business man a professional and I was shady for what I had done. I was very polite. My reply ( I’m sorry I brought you a customer sure she meet up with me to buy a guitar for cheap but she still may need something) she was there for his childish act. ( she replied I do need a cord) He didn’t even bother to respond to her. He looks at me says someone smells bad like cigarettes… Wow 0 stars for your sir. Where’s your public relations at. Your welcome for that sell.
10. Independent Music Services Inc
Address: 9851 Brockington Rd #6, Sherwood, AR 72120 , Moros , Arkansas , United States
Expert craftsmen in musical instrument repair and fantastic customer service. I couldn’t ask for a better repair job for any of my instruments. Staff are all exceptionally knowledgeable in not only newer instruments, but also possess an amazing historic wealth of information. Certainly the place to go!
Excellent repair. Every problem was addressed and repaired well. Great pricing as well.
Very helpful and informative
Did excellent work on my old trombone, very nice people!
I came in with a horn to have repairs done to it. I needed to have my saxophone’s neck recorked. I needed additional repairs, but above all needed the recorking. The repairman came up, looked at the instrument brand and said he could do nothing for me because if he broke something, he would have to make a part. I thanked him and walked out. I thought by the ratings that this would be a location with skilled craftsmen, but instead feel like it’s people prone to mistakes so they can only work on standard brands and not all instruments. I’d consider calling before coming. They are the only place around for quite a distance and driving over 60 miles to be treated like this felt very awful!
11. Guitar Center
Address: 12315 Chenal Pkwy A, Little Rock, AR 72211 , Moros , Arkansas , United States
The guys are always friendly (I’ve gotten to know most of them) and they are really helpful and knowledgeable too. I wanted to dislike Guitar Center as the big box music store, but I just can’t, they are always awesome!!!
Customer service is always great!
I love this place! And everyone is always friendly and helpful
Friendly staff and lots of cool toys!
Great store for all kinds of instruments and every part to an instrument known to music! Beautiful guitars very clean, good brands and great quality!
Nice place to buy instruments and parts accesories
I’ve been going to guitar center for about 24 years. Today was the last time I’ll go and intend to spend any money there. I had every intention of spending a decent amount of money, but I was met with an attitude as though I was an inconvenience. The pro audio fella just lost a lifetime customer for you. I’ll be purchasing my audio and music gear anywhere else from now on.
Edit: also a second sales person came over to assist with a guitar cab that I was attempting to trade towards my purchase, but he was more concerned with a football game on his phone.
Pro coverage is a joke and a scam to steal broke musicians soles and tip money.
These prix took forever to string a Maestro that needed one tuning key…i’m stayin’ in the woods….H-Town has a GC that’s sick af
12. Guitar Center
Address: 160 E Joyce Blvd, Fayetteville, AR 72703 , Moros , Arkansas , United States
Basically the only guitar centered store in NWA. A good place with helpful staff.
Husband loves this place
Staff seemed knowledgeable also had plenty of merchandise for all your musical needs.
Well it’s Guitar Center, if you have never been in one picture it as the Best Buy of guitars. No soul.
This one is a bit lacking compared to most in used equipment other than that, it’s just Guitar Center.
No selection…..the store is nearly empty.
Walked around 20+ minutes, several employees were engrossed in their phones or something… Not one offer for help.
Terrible service. I ordered a peavey 6505 mh stack from there website that said it was available and ready to ship. Paid $115 for 2 day shipping and when it arrived today I find that they had only sent the cabinet with no head which is pretty much usless. When we called they told us that the head was on back order and wouldn’t be available for another two weeks and that they just hadn’t listed that on there website. If I had known that I wouldn’t have wasted my time or money on shipping.
If you need a guitar or guitar related item then this is the place for you. If you need anything else, go online.
