Address: 116 W Market St, Mt Carroll, IL 61053 , Mount Carroll , Illinois , United States
Great and exciting place with all types of antiques
Want to sip tea and eat cookies while perusing fine brocades for your next project? Perhaps you want to find the best antique brooch for your picky mother-in-law? This is the place to go! The “Mad Hatter’s” of Mt. Carroll has charm and Victorian grace, creating an experience one does not easily forget. An excellent place to pick up fine ceramics (tea sets especially!), jewelry, automobilia, fabric, and other fine things that makes one think about how fine life is.
Seriously, just go. It’s awesome.
This store made my day. I was passing through Mt. Carroll and just decided to stop by. What I found was an amazing antique store, large selection and high quality as well. The owners were super nice and willing to bargain on price. The building itself is really something to see. Owner said it used to be a furniture store and it still have the original deadweight elevator!
This is a very cool store with tons of things to look at but unfortunately they are extremely overpriced as many antique stores are. You may find that “Once in a lifetime” item you’ve been looking for, just be prepared to pay for it.
5. The Rhythm Section Amphitheater
Address: 13137 IL-78, Mt Carroll, IL 61053 , Mount Carroll , Illinois , United States
Awesome amphitheatre! Reasonably priced drinks, friendly staff. Entry was well organized, plenty of clean porta pits. Going to make this a yearly getaway!
Love this venue! Our new Redrocks in the Midwest.
This was my first time her i saw Elle king and i wasn’t disappointed I’d return again
Great place, need to make it a little better for people that can’t walk that far, and need better info on the seating, we didn’t know we would need chairs!
Nice place great people
First time at venue. Bought VIP passes thinking would be better view.
This is pic from VIP. That’s Elle king I think.
Music was great. Sounded good. But recommend saving money on VIP and pay for select parking. Regular lot was a hike.
Tried to see Elle King here. However the design of the venue does not allow unobstructed views of the artist. I will not return.
6. The Copper Cow
Address: 834 S Jackson St, Mt Carroll, IL 61053 , Mount Carroll , Illinois , United States
You want a good steak the New York Strip is so tender and tasty, best around.
We’ve been here five or six times over the last few months, and the food and service has been great.
The servers and bartenders are fun and accommodating.
First time at the Copper Cow – but it won’t be my last. The food was delicious! We started with Nachos and for dinner we had the Pork Chop dinner & grilled chicken sandwich with fried cauliflower- all were so good. Our server was cheery & attentive to boot. Definitely recommend this for a casual dining experience.
Very nice place. Small place . New owners. Tried the Spicy cow burger was very good with a good taste and extra jalapeños and spicy mayo….Kids loved the spaghetti and chicken Alfredo….brownie cheese cake for dessert !!!!……very nice portion to share with 4 ..very nicely priced for family of 5 ….75……15 tip…will be back
Good food for a reasonable price. Service was great!
Horrible service took 30 min to get a tossed salad had to ask for silverware I walked out never will go back the 1 star for is letting my friends eat free
I ordered steak fries deluxe to go. They were disgusting and black and cooked in dirty grease. I’ve been a chef for many years and would have been ashamed to send them out
I left them on the bar with out saying anything about them. I’m sorry for saying the truth but they were the worst thing ever.
This food is not worth it by any means, I had an A1 burger, the burger was cooked great but the taste and toppings were very poor. It was supposed to have A1 sauce I’ll add a picture below of how little effort went into it. The service wasn’t much better, it seemed as a staff issue because the bartender was trying to take orders and serve the drinks. Not bad service she just had to much on her plate. The prices did reflect how terrible the food was, but thankfully it wasn’t an expensive dinner. Don’t waste your time on dinner here
