This guy has been around and is super knowledgeable about instruments. Going into his workshop had such a nostalgic feel to it. Super reasonable and he has no problem showing you how to do simple maintenance yourself.

Worst place I ever buy
There were two women in the cashier and they were talking about their relationship, when I went to pay they saw me and started to laugh talking bad things about me thinking I didn’t understand bucause I’m Hispanic just because I used the app for a coupons…
If you are going to post that you are open until 10pm, have enough respect for your customers and keep your dang door open! Made a special trip to your dump and found the door locked at 9:48pm. Employee was standing at the counter, next to the window and blatantly chose to ignore us. Thankfully, the Dollar General across the street has enough decency and respect for their customers. Took us less than 2 minutes to make our purchase. Never again.
Short story, this store falsely advertises items, I was refused the items I was attempting to purchase, i was told to leave the store, I was threatened by the manager that she was going to call the authorities on me for requesting she price over ride and honor the marked price on an item, i was lied on (because after emailing corporate twice and waiting several weeks for a response) the district manager was told the store manager price over rode the item, which is a lie because I only dealt with the assistant face to face while the manager was over the phone threatening to call authorities. I told the district manager that I guarantee that if he was to check the stores report for price Overrides that day that he would not see anything that I was attempting to purchase that day price overrode which was a storage tote by the way. I have never in my life experienced anything like the experience I’ve had with dealing with management at this store. And even after talking to district manager I feel as though nothing has been resolved. I don’t understand customer service nowadays. How can you work in retail with customers and treat them the way that you do? Why are current customer service representatives allowed to interact with customers that should be valued to them, in anyway they see fit? I would understand if my item was on a shelf where the shelf was marked for a certain price and my item been in the wrong place and Them not be able to honor it but in this case my tote was marked by the manufacture next to the UPC sticker on the same sticker for the price that I wanted the item for and that would not be met. I was told that due to corporate they were not allowed to price override, after talking to the district manager I was told that was not true and that he was told that the store manager did price override for me which was a lie. I’m not sure if this is an attempt that the store manager is making to meet her end-of-the-year bonus or if it’s a way to prevent employee theft or what it is, all I know is that it’s unfair to the customers and it’s not the way a store should be ran I think they should clearly consider new management at this location.

The one located near me is one of the hardest places for person in a wheelchair to get in and shop.
Warranty repair was incompetently performed or maybe poor on purpose because after they repaired my guitar, they put in a new saddle and it was for a LEFT handed guitar, not right like I have. The action was so high no one could play that guitar without cutting your fingers.
Needed a zero glide for my Martin guitar. When I called I expected them to ask “Which one? 1 3/4 or 1 11/16?” Martin only makes two sizes.
But they hemmed and hawed…
Finally I drove to the place in Titusville. And they hemmed and hawed and couldn’t find one that matches my guitar.
Well, okay… I build mandolins and I’m not a stranger to nut files and sanding blocks. But when the young luthier wanted me to just take a blank and cut it from scratch I finally said hold it.
I took one that was close, modified it, installed it and have to say if you are not highly experienced doing guitar set up, don’t try it. You need all the tools you’d need if you were making a new nut from a piece of seasoned bone, as well as fret nippers, fret files, and sanding and polishing supplies.
That said, after installing it, my guitar sounded awful: dead, boring, lifeless. My wife was appalled. She wanted me to put the old nut back on. But the action was slightly better, I was tired, and I decided to do it the next day.
What a difference a night made! Don’t know why, strings settling in (whatever that means…) Who knows… But when I picked it up the next morning it was amazing. Balanced, smooth, solid intonation, loud, my wife thought I was playing my OM-42 instead of my 000-15.
It seems to improve each day a bit. Now I’m bummed, going to have to go back to Titusville and do it all over again with my D-42.
Dropped off a Les Paul guitar to have pickups swapped and input jack changed. 10 days later the work had not even been started. Picked up the guitar and will do the work myself. I have a 50 guitar collection and @ $200 each to have work like this done they LOST $10,000.
This guy is a scam… He sent me a new banjo with chrome chipped in 2 places and a bad fret. All the “we use professionals to set up every banjo” is a lie. Not one professional in the place.
He won’t honor the warranty.

This is as legit as local guitar stores get. Stocked full with a collection of killer boutique And exotic instruments. And all price points had something thoughtfully selected you try. The staff was super chill and let me try everything I wanted. Then he started throwing new things at me based on what I was already trying. There was never any pressure or sales schtick to fend off.
If you’re a local reading this review, please never go to GC. Buy your strings, cables, picks, guitars from a local shop like this. We got to keep shops like this alive n well!
Great customer service. Always knowledgable. Not pushy or trying to upsell anything. Just good advice and good variety of guitars. Not a huge inventory but good variety and some unique finds. So much better than the Music Store (next to Staples). They also do instrument repairs and custom jobs. They installed a pickup for an acoustic guitar a while back. Went over all of my options, what each type was used for and what would work best for what I needed. (it wasn’t the most expensive one).

For the several thousands of dollars my family has spent at this business, I expect Pete to be friendly/pleasant towards us(at the very least), for life, but he clearly can’t maintain that. He started acting rude towards my mom some years back, and now me. For no apparent reason. I hope that keeping that sour attitude of yours is worth losing 20+ year customers who often went out of their way to spend money at your establishment and stay local. Weird way to treat people who earned you money. Avoid. He’s one of those guys who thinks everyone is a “democrat”. Super solid reason to push customers away.

I went to FS music for guitar lessons. Kevin was a great teacher. He helped me tremendously. I will be going back for more lessons in the future. The lady who runs the store was always very polite to me also.
Excellent Customer service, fantastic teaching skills for adult and kids in multiple instruments.

I just called to get information on music lessons for our three daughters. I was asking about piano and guitar lessons. It was very muffled sounding when he was speaking. I said I’m sorry I didn’t understand what you said. I understood that they don’t do a monthly payment but I asked him to repeat how it is that they charge for lessons. He told me maybe he would take the Spanish version off so I could understand English. My jaw dropped! I politely and shocked said I’m sorry it’s muffled I can barely hear you. He said maybe it is just how I talk in a super rude. I said okie dokie thank you very much. I’m still shocked. What is seriously wrong with people these days.
Went there to pick up some strings. Before handing them to me after I paid, the employee TOLD my friend and I to take out our phones and leave a review. Not asking politely or anything, just instructing us to do so. They also had a BOSS BD-2 pedal on display with no price and no box. It looked used. I asked for a price and he told me $150. That thing costs $113 brand new. I will not be returning.
Stopped by the store last week to pick something up for my son and the lady running the store at the time did NOT EVEN BOTHER to put a mask on to be honest I didn’t even see a mask except for the one I was wearing

Nice assortment of shredder guitars. I use ESP, Charvel, and Yamaha as my main guitars. I was very impressed with the selection of Jackson’s and ESPs. Not much Charvel stuff for one of the only “authorized” dealers (which was the reason for my visit). Lots of equipment for most any need you may have. The front counter guy and guitar tech were very helpful!
The fact that i have to ask someone to try a guitar out Is a hassle , never been to a guitar store like that . I like to have privilege to play guitars without someone watching me is everything. Thank you
