I was very pleasantly surprised to find this little gem in South Arkansas! As a musician this will help me with strings, chords, stands, microphones, etc… They also have a great selection of instruments at reasonable prices. Mr Joe will help you find what you need at a price you can afford!
Very nice man and very helpful the store may look small but he has a lot musical instruments accessories and sound equipment.
Great service! The owner knows his business!!!
Helpful owner and great little music store! Surprisingly large selection of guitar strings.
Hours are not accurate on Saturday though. Looks like they close at 3:30 on Saturday. :-/
This will be the 2nd time I have worked with Joe so far and no complaints. Joe is a good guy.
Of you need a wired connection for audio equipment they have it.
Worst attitude I’ve ever seen
Beware!! I had the worst experience at this music shop. These folks are thieves and the customer service is terrible!!! If I wasn’t a firm believer in the word I would sue the pants off Electro Mart. I feel it my duty to at least warn you others…Spend your money somewhere else!
Stop purchasing from this stores because of his arrogant behavior also he is very unprofessional.
2. Dorman Piano Co
Address: 21 Warnock Springs Rd, Magnolia, AR 71753 , Nevada County , Arkansas , United States
Awesome store, my son has been taking lessons here for a while and loves it. The staff is great and they take time with each customer. Highly recommend for music equipment amd lessons
Came in to see if either my guitar pick ups had failed, or the amp.
Gentleman cleaned the bridge and pickups for me. Tested it. Worked fine.
Bought a cable to show appreciation. Top notch customer service. Support your local music heads folks!
I’ve only had exceptional service and prices from Renown Music. Every time I’ve dropped by, all my questions were answered and my problems solved…effortlessly! I’ve had guitars worked on or even brought back to life after being dead for decades. For me, it’s Renown Music, or nothing!
Very polite and had a variety of guitars and also gives affordable lessons
Very kind gentlemen is the owner and he is always trying to help someone. God loving man. Goes out of his way to help, especially with children. Good prices too.
It is a wonderful small musical instrument store. The owner is a very sweet man, who seems knowledgeable, and excited to share with any help u may need. A Christian gentleman that seems to just be fulfilling his dreams. Nice store.
Was not open
11. Valley Piano Co
Address: 3515 W Main St, Russellville, AR 72801 , Nevada County , Arkansas , United States
Old friends I’ve known for over 50 years. Always friendly and good price.
Brian and Valley Piano are a Russellville institution, and even if you don’t have a baby grand to tune, you know you want a ukulele for your folksy teen with the great voice to put on their YouTube channel . They have a sweet, black, v-head Dean electric a-la Pantera I’ve been eyeballing too… Valley Piano does it all. Right. .
Great people, a very old store
I went into to buy a guitar. Very small selection
Lots of sheet music and DVDs but it is all on the computer today. Wonderful people. I wish them well!
My visit was to test the integrity of an electric guitar I had. Spoke to the guy behind the counter. (The one with the gray streaked goatee). Told him I was preparing to sell it via Facebook, and all I want to do is see if it sounds as it should. He said it was ok I was like great thanks. The buyer was from outta town and was shopping for guitar supplies. She had just bought amp still needed a cord possibly more. Asked her to meet up there since she was just down the road. She wanted to go in do to the rain. Instantly he started ranting that he’s a business man a professional and I was shady for what I had done. I was very polite. My reply ( I’m sorry I brought you a customer sure she meet up with me to buy a guitar for cheap but she still may need something) she was there for his childish act. ( she replied I do need a cord) He didn’t even bother to respond to her. He looks at me says someone smells bad like cigarettes… Wow 0 stars for your sir. Where’s your public relations at. Your welcome for that sell.
12. The Musician’s Exchange
Address: 2221 Alma Hwy, Van Buren, AR 72956 , Nevada County , Arkansas , United States
My go to place for what I need musically. Best staff and can get you just about anything at a good price.
Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Great selection of strings for guitar and bass player. Love going there!
Great places to take your child to get a school band instrument.
This is one of only a handful of places in the River Valley you can buy instruments and accessories from. It’s a place I can drop in quickly for new strings or sticks. They offer some set-up/repair services from entry to intermediate difficulty. Keep to the kids close (or at the house), as various instruments and/or parts are laying around in some areas of the sales floor, making for somewhat treacherous terrain and unclear pricing. Staff are generally friendly and helpful, though you may have to approach them directly for help. I prefer this myself. Glad they’re here.
This place is very small and crowded with goods. Most of the things are for those who really want to rock out. Lots of amps and electronic equipment and electrified instruments. Very little acoustic. The photos you see on Google maps don’t quite represent as much what you see in the store because it looks from the pictures like there’s more acoustic than they’re actually is. But the staff seem to be very good at helping customers make decisions.
#accessibility accessibility is poor. There is a super steep ramp step to get into the store and then it’s crowded inside. My friend on crutches with a large service dog had a difficult time getting around inside. I had a small guide dog and found the quarters very cramped. I’m just mentioning this so that people will be aware. Next time I go in, I will leave my guide dog at home and use a white cane to navigate.
The vast majority of the store has everything for electric instruments. There’s a little teeny acoustic room in the back which is so small that you barely have enough room to turn around and certainly not enough room to change your mind. Again mentioning so the people know what to expect.
Dropped a guitar off for the owner to look at. He told me over the phone he’d give $150 for it and only a few hours later when I came in to get the money he prints me a ticket off and hands me $100. I reminded him that wasn’t what we agreed on and all he said was “that’s all I can do unless you want me to undo the transaction”. Not good business in my opinion. He lost a customer over 50 bucks. :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
And now he’s calling me a liar. This isn’t some story I made up when I was bored, it actually happened. Remember the guitar was dropped off so it could be appraised. I don’t enjoy writing bad reviews but this one was earned.
Hate it I could not find a clarinet ,:(
Unfriendly staff

Purchased a beautiful Fender acoustic guitar. Nice facility, showroom with many choices of acoustic guitars. 6 and 12 string, and gorgeous electric guitars. Friendly and knowledgeable sales staff.
My son recently started violin lessons. He absolutely loves going! We were also helped by getting measured for the correct sized violin for him and how to rent one. He recently broke a string and I was able to call them, buy a pack over the phone, and then my son was able to have them there and ready for him when he went to his lessons without me having to walk in with my youngest Beyond helpful!
We love PPS! Preston takes great care in finding the best instructors for each instrument. PPS is also very good at working with homeschoolers and providing opportunities for all kinds of families and kids who want to learn about music.
My guitar was in for repairs for about 4 months. Almost no communication was provided about status of the repair work. It’s understandable with Covid making it difficult to have parts shipped, but the lack of adequate communication was uncomfortably disappointing. I don’t blame the young individual who was working on my guitar, but rather leadership who should have provided direction on appropriate and timely customer service communication. It doesn’t matter to me that it would have taken considerable time for repairs. But the lack of communication stating that due to a backlog in parts, and it was just a waiting game, would have been enough. A 30 second phone call every couple of weeks or so to advise a customer that no progress has been made is better than nothing…it would have been enough to have left my guitar there for months longer. The ironic thing about all this is that I really like the store and the people at Palmer Music, so I will most likely continue to purchase my music supplies from them and I hope my experience there was a one-off….
I was looking at electric guitars and they didn’t offer to let me plug any of them in. How are you truly going to know if you like one or not if you can’t hear the sound.
Usually busy because they’re good at what they do!
Go to GUITAR CENTER instead (you can actually have FUN there).
Went in expecting to buy a new guitar on 01/26/2023. The man behind the counter was very unfriendly & unhelpful.
I found one I wanted to buy but I just didn’t really want to give my money to a person who didn’t know how to smile.
Another employee walked by and was even more emotionless than the other guy. I left feeling very unwelcome.
I will not be back.
15. Dollar General
Address: 1990 AR-200, Rosston, AR 71858 , Nevada County , Arkansas , United States
Close to home. Small town in rural area. Only store not mom and pop store for at least 30 minutes or more drive in any direction
It’s a typical DG store in a rural area. Sorta glad there’s one.
Have what is needed. Friendly. Except ice. No ice freezer. Corporate will not send the store one.
Más que cerveza me gustan los costillas de a qui
Well for one thing when you go in a store to buy something you expect someone to be behind the counter not out in the parking lot talking to someone instead of waiting on customers like you’re supposed to I stood there with my doctor Pepper while you visited outside.
The aisle are packed and can not get thru them need to clean up store again right after it open I was said it was the cleanest Dollar General in the area but not anymore its nasty now
Witnessed 2 employees. One on register. One having items scanned. Cashier gave so many price overrides to the other employee. Obviously taking advantage of the system….when I asked about it she said they were on sale.. which is a lie, bc even I know those items would have registered as clearance when rung up. The girl had about 5 blankets and several other household items and all she paid was $40. She even complained that was too much as she swiped her card and then asked the cashier to set her wallet behind the counter. Straight up hoodrats. Bottom of the scum bucket. I’d chose zero stars if that were an option.
16. Renown Music
Address: 104 W F Ave, North Little Rock, AR 72116 , Nevada County , Arkansas , United States
Got me a gitar strap, & 10′ amp cord both at a great price!
Been shopping at this store since 2010. Great service and selection and prices. Fun place to go even if you don’t need anything. Just hang !
These guys were AWESOME!! KNOW THEIR STUFF!!
I bought 3 powered speakers, a guitar stand, a snark and several cables. spent around $1400 was very pleased with the service Alex provided. Was disappointed that after traveling an hour to get there, They had no Chauvet 4Bar Flex’s LED Lights in stock. My plan was to buy three. To my dismay they dont stock these items, so even though I had cash in hand I could not get what I came for. They could have them shipped but that would require me to prepay without product in hand and no guarantee I would have them in time for the gig. I believe if you’re gonna offer these items you should have them in your store.
Selection of products not offered elsewhere.
Good service
Terrible. Won’t be going back EVER!!! Low balled me on equipment trade… dropped my new equipment on the floor I literally had just purchased barely would let me check or help me see if it had any damage to the new unit I bought and kept my change from the purchase too.
never saw a guitar shop where they didn’t have a room where you could turn stuff up a bit to try it out. I may as well order off Sweetwater or other internet shop if i can’t try out the equipment before I buy it.
Horrible experience. Horrible management. Refuses to do the right thing with its customers.
18. Bensberg Technologies
Address: 2005 Fairview Rd SW, Camden, AR 71701 , Nevada County , Arkansas , United States
We recently contacted Bensberg Tech to revamp our sound and add some additional cameras to enhance our online experience at our church. From the first moment I spoke with Jerry i knew i had made the right call. Start to finish the easiest and most thorough company we’ve dealt with in regards to Sound engineering-audio visual. I could go on, but we are completely pleased to have worked with and highly recommend Bensberg Tech for all your audio-visual needs!! Thanks again guys!
Professional yet personable, and very available. I appreciate the service.
Great people to work with !!

Address: 1110 E Antigo St, Stamps, AR 71860 , Nevada County , Arkansas , United States
Great place for EVERYTHING entertainment related, with a great and helpful staff
Excellent selection.
Such an amaxing store
A lot of great pop culture merchandise!
It’s an ok store.
Several of the movies I’ve bought there were scratched so badly they wouldn’t play. I only bother returning them when I don’t mind the risk of getting that one cashier who won’t let me buy anything without having an email. Everything else about the store is great.
Not a big selection.
NO fudge
Overpriced and underwhelming. As soon as we said not interested in the members card,
the cashier’s attitude did a 180 and she actually delayed our transaction to do a price check for someone else.
False advertising
BOGO beanies (no exclusions listed) are not BOGO….they are BOGO with exclusions. I spoke with 2 staff members who could or would not help and there was no manager.
Take the signs down or honor them.
