I am a believer. Did nice work very quickly on my vintage telecaster for a great price. Highly recommended – and I don’t highly recommend very often 🙂 And he has some nice amps at very reasonable prices. I will be going back.
I don’t like giving negative but Mario burned me for $50. And I gave him a chance to fess up. Briefly, I needed pre amp work done on my guitar. He took a deposit and after some time, I called him to pick it up and he told me he was backlogged. No problem on my part I have other guitars. Later, my money tightened and I called him to not work on the guitar and that I would bring it back in spring or summer. He didn’t respond. When I came to pick up my instrument, he told me I couldn’t have my deposit returned because he had started diagnostics on it which was a lie. But I was truthful telling him that I would return it at a later date. I won’t ever trust him again and there are other honest guitar repair folks around. He wasn’t cool. Sure he gave me a set of strings as a consolation prize. I had bought from Mario before but never will return. He lost my patronage. I told him the truth about my willingness to return at a later date and he lied to me in return. And he kept giving different repair costs the lowest given when I picked up my guitar but by that time I had lost confidence in his business ethics. I’m self employed and I would never treat any customer in this manner.

Mike is fantastic. He’s been teaching one of my kids for three years, and another one of my kids just started. He does great with all levels of experience and all ages. They have group performances a few times a year that are a lot of fun.
Newington Music is a wonderful place to perfect your craft in music. Mike takes your abilities and enhances them to a level that is unbelievable. He is reliable and hard working. My son would not be the type of percussionist he is today without Mike’s tutelage. Thank you Newington Music for making my son’s dreams come true!
I’ve been going to both Mike and Angelica for a few months now and I can say it’s been a great experience. I feel very welcome and comfortable in their space. They’re easy to talk to and easy to learn from. Angelica is not only a beautiful singer but an amazing teacher. She works on what you suggest and shows genuine interest in what you provide, including songs she thinks would fit your voice. Mike as well listens to what I have trouble with and try’s to find different ways for me to understand.
Mike is rude and racist. Do not send your children here if you are a family of color. He looked at us weird every week and always made snide remarks to make us feel unwelcome. He is overcharging and cuts your 30 min lesson down to 15 or 20 minutes every week. My child says he was mean to her on a regular basis. Never again!
