Rude, rude, rude! If this place is your LAST RESORT….well I personally still wouldnt go back there. MIKE’S MUSIC IS SO SO FRIENDLY, helpful and HONEST….it just blows when I need to go to Arts. It may be about the oldest music store in Dothan-AND THEY’VE ALWAYS CONSISTENTLY BEEN RUDE- even 30+ years ago when I was in band. Skip Art’s & go to Ross Clark Circle & take a left…MIKE’S MUSIC is right around the corner. Personality, HELPFULNESS, service & Friendliness is 90% of why I repeat my business Anywhere I go…
Super Expensive
I walked in to look for guitar. When I ask for help the little boy said I can’t help you and walked off. I’m assuming because I didn’t have a mask on. I wasn’t asked to leave the store or that I couldn’t shop inside. The sign simply said “please wear a mask” There was no consideration that I have underlying conditions and cannot wear a mask.
You all should change your sign to “no mask no service“ instead of embarrassing people like you did.
Excellent prices
Excellent service
Excellent selection in percussion equipment
Great
Very reasonable and they the best place to get your equipment service they fix my k Sub an it sounds good
Great experience
I brought a subwoofer to be repaired here and after many attempts are retrieval, the company “lost it” and wouldn’t call me back. If you like having your nice stuff misplaced and companies not willing to help you find it or replace it, then Carousel is your place!
as president of Gamble Music Production and Archive in Columbia, Al. I use Metro Music all the time for any audio or video parts or accessories, Greg will help you even if you bought your item somewhere else. He does it for HELPING YOU.

Shout out to John and Metro Music for having just what I was looking for in a guitar, I love the this guitar you introduced me to John, I appreciate you taking the time and patience to set it in my hands… Godspeed Brother…
It was a Fantastic experience!! Met the owner and had a very nice conversation and spent to much Money
Fun friendly staff
Not very well stocked. Had to go to a different music store for the rest of what my son needed for band, or I could wait a week.
Only giving 4 stars because l never give 5. In the event I’m ever truly blown away by a business where am l to go if I’ve already peppered 5 stars everywhere…
That being said, I do repairs and mods from the house. So l usually order my supplies online. I was pleasantly surprised that metro had everything I needed to finish a job in a pinch. They hat the exact 500k pots and capacitors l needed in stock. Knew exactly what l was talking about and had it in my hand and out the door in less than five minutes. At a reasonable price too…

The guy there at the desk was very helpful. Not only did he find what we were looking for quick and efficiently, he also gave us tips and other information about the different levels of thickness on each reed. Very good place for beginners and for those who need more equipment.
Mr Mike was such a pleasure to work with. I came in looking for a pick Gaurd for my acoustic and left with that, three stands, and a slider! His store has such a wide variety of amazing products.
Great customer service and selection. We highly recommend Mike’s music. We have purchased several items and will be returning.
Will never shop there again. He doesn’t stand behind his product. Brought a brand new keyboard from him and didn’t even have it for 2 months. All of the A#’s/Bb’s went out and he wouldn’t even take a look at it or even offer anything to help fix his shady product. Thought I found a place to get good quality instruments at a reasonable price but definitely was wrong. Now I have to spend more money on a new keyboard. I will never shop at Mike’s Music ever again.
Came back for a second time hoping that it was better than a previous visit which occurred maybe a year ago. Nothing changed! Had a sarcastic attitude and told jokes. This guy has poor customer service. I wouldn’t dare step foot in there again after today.

This guy is awesome he repaired my laptop for $150 and was able to save all my pics and info. Now I’m in Las Vegas and I plan on sending my laptop through the mail for him to repair it again.
This place is amazing, fast service and the cashier was very helpful
The guys are extremely friendly and helpful, I was recommended to go here and I can definitely see why!
Great guitar store, bought an amp here but a tad but overpriced, though im proud to support small businesses. But overall good store.
They know their business
Even though you couldn’t figure out my computer problem, You could’ve put it back together the way I brought it instead of not hooking it up properly.
I would not even rate him a one star. He overcharges and when he says he’s going to fix your laptop by a certain time he does not. Also, when he can’t fixes it, he calls the day of its suppose to fix to tell you he can’t! This place is horrible, your better off using Youtube to show you how to fix your laptop/computer and Amazon to buy your parts! I came out way cheaper. For example, his price was $180.00 but I fixed it for $28.00.
I went in this place a few years back while visiting family in between shows. They make great quality acoustics and I was about to buy one….. however the guy behind the counter (Don’t remember his name but said he was a drummer) was being a complete dbag from the min I walked in the door. I tried to lighten the mood but he got worse so I just put up the guitar and walked out. Hopefully the guys been fired, quit, or moved to Pakistan…. You must be careful to treat customers well because you never know who’s walking in, or got a wad of cash in there pocket.
Great studio for Jingle. Takes great care and detail with the musicians John works with. Highly recommend!
John Seals is a master producer/arranger and his studio is top-notch. As former President of the Wiregrass Blues Society, I worked closely with John as he was the Producer for the Project Preservation album – where we re-recorded mostly public domain blues songs with some of the top musicians in the Wiregrass region of Alabama. The result was an organic, incredibly warm and full sounding album – where he incorporated and arranged many different musicians executing a variety of parts (e.g., acoustic and electric guitar, hammond organ, piano, harmonica, trumpet, sax, lead vocals and background vocals). I also have listened to many of John’s recordings. The sound he gets – even operating on the latest Pro-Tools software- is akin to the rich analog sound of classic 70s albums. Sunland Recording Studios is also an incredible space – as he has treated the control room acoustically as well the separate live room and sound booth. The studio also has a relaxed atmosphere that definitely inspired the Project Preservation musicians to feel at home and give their full creativity to doing their best work. I recommend Sunland Recording Studios highly and without reservation.
Incredibly Gifted, Easy to Work With, Exceptional Ear, Uber Proffessional, Talented Musician, Producer and Engineer. State of The Art Equipment and Sound Quality. Would DEFINITELY Record There Again.
12. Hines Music Studio
Address: 311 Ameris Ave, Dothan, AL 36305 , Newton , Alabama , United States
Ms. Hines is a experienced music teacher and would highly recommend her. She has many students that come back to her year after year. I am very satisfied with her knowledge of music and teaching abilities.
Pamela Hines is a fantastic music teacher. She has invested so much time into my son and he has taken off. We are so happy with the results. She’s passionate about her trade and it shows. Thank you!
I have been an adult student of Ms. Hines for 4 years now She is an amazing teacher with great talent. I would recommend her to anyone. She makes it fun and interesting. I think I’m going to be her student for life! Thank you Pamela!
My daughters were attending her piano class for two months. I can say I was not impressed. She definitely has no patience for kids who are beginners. She hated to make up missed lessons. She got very upset that my daughter was sick with her asthma and could not attend class. She even argued with me and stated why my daughter couldn’t just go and do the lesson after I repeatedly told her that she was coughing persistently. But I knew she was upset because she didn’t want to make up the lesson. She even told me to look for another teacher. She is very unprofessional, rude and I do not recommend her as a teacher.
