Our kids love Daphne! She is incredibly so very patient with both of our kiddos. They are learning so much from her.
Mrs. Danielson is an amazing teacher! I have learned so much from her over the years and she has helped me excel in piano and achieve my music goals.
I’ve personally heard the instructor, Daphne Dawson, in both lesson & recital (apparently she does church events now too?!?), and her skill is absolutely unmatched. I’m not sure how else to put it, but she dances over the panio keys like an artist! I can’t tell where the piano begins and the pianist ends.
Without a doubt, I’d recommend her to anyone!

Friendly staff. Good selection. You never know what you will find.
Great place! Luv it !
Super nice owner/managment great store to buy from
Stopped in one the way back home.
Staff was very friendly. The organization layout of the album’s was way different from other stores I have visited.
To me I felt the album’s a little pricey. Can’t see paying $20+ for a used record when you can get a new one for $5+ more. That’s just my 2 cents.0
All in all they have pretty much what you are looking for.
Cool collection. A little hard to find what you’re looking for and there’s not too many recent releases in the there, but what it does have is cheap and in good condition
This place is a throwback to the neighborhood record shop. Their collection of vintage albums was so cool! I’ll be back!
Owner doesn’t quite connect. 396
I’m in complete shock with the service I received over the phone. The employee was incredibly rude amd they even hung up on me.
Incredibly rude staff, impolite and unhelpful. I don’t want to down play their selection of titles, which are priced reasonably enough for the average shopper to pick up one or two records. But why would I want to with such a repugnant attitude from the staff and store owner. I asked a simple question, wondering whether a particular item was for sale, and I was greeting with a cold and blunt “no”. The employees are not personable whatsoever, which is a shame as there were plenty of things I would have purchased. One older employee rudely went on an entire diatribe about how I wasn’t allowed to look through at least 80% of the store’s CD selection without his supervision, or else I would “mess things up”. Why would I want to spend anytime in a store being babysat while I look through music? I’ll sum this up by saying, I don’t usually go out of my way to write negative reviews, but man this store deserves it. Sarcastic sympathy is the nicest treatment customers will receive here. It’s a shame, I used to enjoy shopping here every time I came to Florida on vacation for the past five years, now that I live here I never want to go in again. Too many bad experiences, thankfully there’s literally another record store not even 5 minutes from this waste of time.
We loved this bookstore! We were visiting the Daytona Beach-area. This shop is no more than a half-hour away, and it is huge, well-lit, and extremely well-organized. They have a great selection of books, even some from series that are difficult to find. We paid $4 per used book and were thrilled to discover this gem. It is well worth the short drive. We returned a year after our first visit. When we asked about a book that they didn’t have, the owner immediately ordered it, as that book sells readily. The staff were happy to research any books we wanted to order them for us.
BOOOKSSSSSS! did I mention books? Rooms and rooms of books. The owner and personnel are wonderful
And he knows Midvale School for the Gifted
Very nice . come to it every time I am in town.
Good selection across all genres. Helpful staff that gave a quick tour of the store letting me know where everything was. And they have a store cat so that is always a plus.
So many options!! Multiple rooms of different books.
Purchased a couple of books from this store. The staff here very friendly and helpful. Would recommend to my friends.
I love books, bookstores, libraries…you name it. My first Bachelor’s Degree was in English Literature. This store is TERRIBLE! The books are highly overpriced, and the owner is absolutely, outrageously rude. I went in to see about 2 books that were recommended to me by an acquaintance. It turned out that one of the books had only come out last year, so the store only had a new copy. They were charging $16.99 for the book. I can get the same book delivered to my house for $11.50 with Amazon Prime. I explained to the owner that I would not be buying that book there, because I could save on Amazon. He became irate and shouted at me saying, “Well, go back to Amazon then! Don’t waste our time!” I promptly turned and left. I didn’t even wait until the other employee had finished looking for the second book. I adamantly refuse to be disrespected by anyone (let alone an entitled buffoon) when I choose to make wise financial decisions. Ironically, I had donated an entire box of books to this place about a month and a half ago, so I have a fair bit of store credit. However, this place is such a joke, and the owner has such appalling, brazen and utter entitlement/arrogance that I will not waste my time gracing that junk shop with my presence.
Prices are high, and the people are into themselves. Also it was very hot in there.
Was rudely greeted at the door by the disinterested sole employee.not nearly enough books on local history a missed opportunity to delight a tourist I will skip this boring place next .much else to do in DeLand and Volusia county

Friendly and there generally isn’t a long wait, even through the holidays.
Some people are rude bit thats it lol
In and out
I’ve had such horrendous experiences here that I try to only do the grocery pick up now so that I don’t have to go into the store. The grocery pickup employees are usually very friendly and helpful. My only complaint is that they mess up my order many times, either by not giving me all of my items or giving me something that has expired.
Management sucks at this store at night we went on 6-14-19 and witnessed someone stealing and went to let management know and they got rude with us and we are trying to help them out sitting needs to be done clean house or you will keep losing customers.
Store very disorganized, lack of workers!
Took forever

Jay has been teaching our 2 boys for years and they really looked forward to coming to their lessons. Jay is very patient with them and that’s hard to do when boys often lose focus
I have been taking my 5 yr old here for piano for 8 weeks and I can’t believe the results. Excellent instructor and very knowledgeable. I highly recommend this instructor for any of your music needs.
We had a great experience here with Jacen and Jay learning piano and drums. He progressed so quickly and we are extremely busy so it was hard to find time to practice, but they found ways to challenge him and help him along and I could not have asked for better teachers. Thank you for all you do!

The gentlemen, whose name is David, was very very helpful. I find him to be very knowledgeable about string instruments and he is always willing to share his knowledge with others.
Lots of inventory, great service!
Quick and easy guitar string change for my granddaughter.
If you’re looking for a shopping “experience” when buying an instrument, this isn’t the place for you. But if you need a specific part, string, or accessory, this store will probably have that hard-to-find item, and at a lower price than other stores. The owner is friendly and will find what you need. Don’t judge by appearances… I went from store to store in DeLand looking for a 1/8 size violin bridge and this was the only place that had it!
Not sure about the quality for guitars. For brass and woodwind instruments only go for begginers. I went for a large shank, 4g mouthpiece for my bass trombone. He said he had never heard of a 4g and that large shank is uncommon (it’s really not). But if you just need a 6.5 AL for a begginer, it will be fine.
Good local business .
While this place may employ competent repairmen, to call this establishment a music store of any kind would be an absolute false statement. Never in my 31 years of guitar playing all over the world have I come across such a collection of unorganized junk. I don’t even think they sell anything of any use. The room is littered floor to ceiling with indistinguishable mounds of rubbish. Save yourself the trip as any stop into this whatever it is will only end in dissatisfaction.
Went in to buy a guitar. Left without one after being treated rudely.
Owner seems very interested in anything at all I wish he would just close the store if he hated so much I wouldnt buy a pick there
