The owner is very friendly and helpful. Excellent, thorough and fast service.
The owner is an amazing man who really knows what he’s doing when it comes to replacing guitar strings and turning your guitar back to the way it’s supposed to be turned
Place is a dream. Terry is a star. Thanks for getting me my new Tricone
This place is lined with guitar stuff from floor to ceiling. It has about everything you need for a guitar instrument. The guy was very helpful.
Visiting the guitar junkyard is always fun new instruments talking with Terry getting my guitar sound awesome it’s a pleasure too.

Awesome great things in there if u can’t find a unique gift u got go t the vintage antique mall in oglesby,il
Always Great Finds. So many Vendors, really something for everyone. Antiques & Vintage Items. Handcrafted and Homemade Goods, Decor, Candles, Honey, Crystals!
It’s a neat little shop, but it seemed a tad overpriced for a few items. It’s nice to see so many small businesses working together especially in such a tiny shop. It’s a good stop to look at something
Very nice and clean restroom. A great variety of fresh food like sandwiches, parfaits and salads.
Super clean. Friendly staff, fresh food constantly. The Hardee’s is awesome. Spotless facility, no doubt.
Plenty of parking, clean, friendly staff. Hardy’s was good, it doesn’t get much better!!
Jasper,Florida love’s, great place
Clean restrooms. Masks required.
Good clean place to take a pit stop from travelling. Large and spacious station. Also has shower availability.
I would like to know when corporate for loves decided to make it a rule that you can not fuel in the “Tire Pass” lane unless getting a Tire Pass service? So I guess this makes much sense to upper management if a driver wants to get a truck and trailer tire pass service for $10 in total charges, without getting fuel. I just wanted to fuel $300 dollars in fuel fast, than scale, than get my coffee. But was told by store manager after they let me in tire pass lane that I needed to get a Tire Pass service, or if I tried only fueling they would write down my truck info and report me to corporate? What for? Would I get banned or something worse? I am a loves platinum member this month. I feel pretty upset that I could not fuel a $300 amount of fuel unless I got a $5 minimum tire pass. Simple math dictates this is ridiculous. I will be calling corporate on Monday to discuss this futher.
The absolute most pathetic attitude from.a cashier I’ve experienced.(Sandra) She literally sighed and snapped at us because we purchased a Powerball ticket that couldn’t be paid for with a debit card. We bought several items and forgot we had to pay cash for lotto…We had the 2.00 cash it was absolutely no issue she made it out to be. My husband has driven over the road for 20 years and we are truck stop savy and very patient. Tonight we were in our regular vehicle enjoying a road trip..I’m sad to say this girl needed my husband to give her a reality check in customer service…But thankfully he just breathed in deep and exited. I figured maybe this way her superiors would see she needs some review of her job description.
Do not stop at athis facility! We stopped twice & credit cards hacked.

Burger, fries and garlic cheese curds were amazing! Tacos were okay. Great price and great food! Would definitely come back.
Stopped in after a day of hiking at Starved Rock & Matthiessen state parks. This place hit the spot. A great place to relax with friendly staff and excellent pub food/drinks at great prices. Got the tenderloin and Taco Tuesday special and both were excellent. Pizza seems to be their thing and definitely would have done that on a 2nd trip. It smelled great coming out of the kitchen… Seems popular with the locals and a nice modern vibe yet still welcoming to all. Highly Recommend!
Great pizza, people, and drinks!
Good Pizza and friendly service
It’s a bar, waitress is hot
Stopped in for some pozza
I found this grill bar in the GPS, but I was looking for food witch a can’t found in this location, I found a waitress in the patio and with an attitude She ledded me to go inside the bar to place an order but there was no menu and no servers
We went after a graduation. They refused to serve a party of 8 at 7:45 in the evening when the place was empty. That to me is bad business. So, I have nothing to tell you. I have no idea if the food is good or bad.
Food took forever. Chicken sandwich was so dry and the drinks are bad. Dont recommend this place. They served us a bun with the dryest Chicken breast and a piece of bacon. The complete forget to add the rest of the ingredients like the tomatoes lettuce and mayo. Smh
7. Starved Rock Lodge & Conference Center
Address: One Lodge Ln, Oglesby, IL 61348 , Oglesby , Illinois , United States
After a long days hike, we settled in at the Back Door lounge. Food was excellent, and the Starved Rock brew on tap, was fabulous! We are planning to stay here at our next trip down to Utica. I totally recommend anyone to do the same.
We only stopped in to use the restrooms, but the location was very clean and seemed to be well maintained
Really great experience at this State Park and lodge. Plenty of trails to hike and explore with minimal driving. Food at the lodge was very good as we tried duck for the first time. Close to the Utica shopping area in town. Have to go back again!
Great time.
Beautiful place, rooms are a little small. Very tough to book a room, call for reservations ASAP
Cafe was nice. Food was really good & price was reasonable.
Service was absolutely terrible this evening. Waited forever for a couple of sodas. Our server seemed extremely overwhelmed, only had a couple tables. Food service was horrendous. The food has been outstanding in the past (several years ago). Tonight made me want to not return.
I can’t recommend staying here, if you can avoid it, though there probably aren’t many better options in such a small town area. We stayed in the hotel wing of the lodge which was upgraded in 1980s and honestly, need another upgrade.
PROS: beautiful nature areas, on site room for the wedding I was in there, wedding food was delicious and they accommodated GF/vegan guests
CONS: Rooms do not have a mini fridge or microwave. I was traveling with a toddler and had to bring a cooler and constantly refill it with ice to keep his snacks/food in. I’m also gluten and dairy free and there are very little options for GF/DF in that area, so I wanted to make sure I had some meals for myself. Thank god I checked the website and confirmed there weren’t mini fridges and microwaves or I’d have packed food I couldn’t heat and would spoil. Mini fridge and microwaves are pretty standard, so I was surprise they didn’t have this. The TV was very small and didn’t have access to streaming apps, again, something very common in most hotels now. Wifi was spotty and poor.
Worse of all was the bathroom. There was no fan for steam and the ceiling of the shower had significant water damage and was falling out. It was in serious need of repair. I’m surprised they would even rent out a room that was obviously so damaged. That cost to stay here was way over priced for the quality.
Dirty hot tube and the breakfast sucks and everything is very pricey

Great place to eat before or after hiking at Starved Rock. We loved it!
Very nice place
Best coffee I have ever tried. I drink coffee everyday from Starbucks or Dunkin, but nothing compares to the coffee I had here. The ice is really yummy aswell and there is so much to chose from!!
Very nice spot in Utica! We were there for the “grand opening” weekend of 8/20-8/21. Good coffee (one of the best cold brew’s I have ever tasted!), AMAZING Capannari’s ice cream (you must try the Mediterranean sea salt caramel ice cream…it is heavenly). The indoor environment is very nice and comfortable and the staff are very friendly. Quite a gem for Utica.
Just a recommendation for the staff, please post on your menu board that you have breakfast options available. I did find out you could do breakfast sandwiches by asking, but then I was given the wrong sandwich the morning of 8/21 and we were the only people in the store at that time. We will absolutely visit again.
The older female employee was a bit rude. Our lunch was nothing fancy. The atmosphere is eclectic with horrible seating. We sat on a couch with our order in our laps. I am disabled and there was nowhere comfortable to sit. The chairs are tiny. The place was clean and very busy. Nowhere to park.
This place is super cute, and I will say I only want to review the coffee. The two lattes we ordered came out the wrong size and about 20 degrees too hot. They corrected the sizes, which was kind, but then the lattes were even hotter. I assume this is just a one off, but I was excited by the nice espresso machine and let down by the production.
They don’t know how to handle cards man tried to insert a swipe only card and the waits long
My food was bland with one piece of wilted lettuce on it. I waited in line while locals chatted, and while dining in I was served with my food wrapped in plastic. I would say the atmosphere was great and the experience was a let down.
Brought kids in for ice cream. No one else was in the restaurant. The young man serving us was taking orders. A young lady at the cash register wanted me to check out while the young man was continuing to take our orders, so I walked over to the cash register and told her five smalls and one regular.I payed and tipped. While I am standing there waiting for him to complete our order, she tells me that I only paid for four smalls and one large. I apologized that she didn’t understand and was getting out my credit card to pay. Then she asked the young man what he heard me say and he said that I ordered four and not five. It was extremely rude to suggest I was trying not to pay for my ice cream. We were a party of six and I spent over $30 for runny ice cream. I guess it was to much to ask for pleasant and polite service and not to be accused of stealing. There is a difference between apologizing and explaining she wrung up my order wrong and and two employees accusing me of stealing. Maybe they all three should stop gossiping and pay attention to the customers.
10. Oglesby
Address: Illinois 61348 , Oglesby , Illinois , United States
Very busy place, had to wait a bit for service but food was good. It was nice to relax a bit after a long hike around Starved Rock.
We arrived too early for dinner in the main restaurant, but The Back Door Lounge was a welcome alternative. A nice menu of entrees sandwiches appetizers and dessert served in the rustic cabin bar atmosphere and an outdoor seating area that features the panoramic Starved Rock area. Ed, our server, was friendly and informative and our food was nicely prepared. Specifically recommended is the soup, Chicken Quesadillas, Fish Tacos and the best Peach Cobbler Ive had in ages. A decent craft beer offering and other cold beverages are available.
Parking: If you are a guest at the lodge the parking is adjacent to the lodge. Restaurant guests have a large lot, a short scenic walk up to the door to the main room or around back to the bar.
Nice out side veranda
Excellent food and service
Good food nice people
We sat down and waited 15 minutes. One person acknowledged that we were there but told us someone else would be with us shortly. Not even a water. We left. We won’t be back.
If i could give this 0 or negative i would. We didn’t eat here. We did however go to watch 2 guys sing and play piano supposedly like Elton John and Billy Joel. They were absolutely brutal. Drove an hour to get there and left after 3 songs. It was free but they should have paid people to show up. Very very disappointed. Starved rock/ veranda should never have these two back again. We have seen some other musicians at the veranda that were much better.
Good food horrible service. I asked them to clean the table from previous customer, and they said they would send someone. They came to take my order for drinks, and left saying they would send someone to clean the table. They dropped off the drinks and still didn’t clean the table. Then they took our order and did the same. Until I finally told someone they needed to clean it. Like i said good food, but bad and careless service
12. Allicks Guitar Shop
Address: 1201 W Main St Suite 2, Ottawa, IL 61350 , Oglesby , Illinois , United States
Seemed like an awesome dude and had some really nice gear in inventory.
Cool place. Quality parts, and accessories. Wall of guitars, plenty of amps…check it out.
Just found out about this place from a friend and really glad I did. It is a great little shop that has everything. The guy running it knows his stuff and is friendly to boot. Got a great amp for very good price. Until next time! Thanks much!
13. Jamie’s OutPost
Address: 602 S Clark St, North Utica, IL 61373 , Oglesby , Illinois , United States
I ride to this place often. the food is good the staff is friendly and very accommodating. I like this place so much I visit it often along with lots of my friends.
Very pleasant people
Cool fun and a must when in Utica
Fun!
Parking: Plenty of parking
Wheelchair accessibility: Very easy ramp
Definitely more of a novelty store. Great to visit for a quick souvenirs. The charger I got for my phone didn’t work and the “Outpost” canned picked were super mushy. The bartender was awesome and they had a lot of really neat things there. Only bar I know where you can drink a beer and purchase a Samurai sword
Terrible; no one wears a mask.
Nick nacks and junk. Tourist trap. Some decent quality leather, which is overpriced. Too much political propaganda.
