After 9+ hours of driving, including downtown St. Louis at night, Clubexit 41 was exactly what I needed. Low-key, local patrons, relaxed, inexpensive (double cheeseburger, more fries than I could eat, 2 bottled domestics, 1 shot well bourbon = $17!) and homey. If I lived here, I’d drink here. The fifth star is for them putting on exactly the right amount of dill pickle slices – after I said, only once, “lots of pickles, please.” Usually I have to brow-beat the wait staff but not tonight!
Best customer service ever
The best. Fantastic food, better people. My new favorite IL bar. Highly recommend.
We had burgers and beer here after our car broke down on I-64 and we had to stay the night in Okawville. It was a good experience. We walked to the bar from the Suoer 8, and the staff was very attentive and accommodating. We particularly enjoyed the deep fried garlic Parmesan wings. There was nothing wrong with our burgers and fries, either. All in all, it was a good night.
The young girl would not wait on us and the ilder woman was vusy. When I called to see if they were open at midnight there was no answe but web site says they are open.
Good little bar with game room, shuffle board and a pool table. It’s actually located in the tire shop next to road ranger. Really good food because they have a high dollar air fryer. Liquor super expensive but the draft beers are reasonable and ice cold!
Terrible food, just a plain jane atmosphere
I had recommended the place based on atmosphere and price. Some drunk chick won money on a machine and started spending money so they let her take the place over. I put money in the juke box and the turned it off and let her play music off of her phone. I will not be back. I gutlrantee I can outspend her any day of the week. I will let the people I recommened the place to know. They are just wasting their money.
3. Mojo’s Music
Address: 144 N Main St, Edwardsville, IL 62025 , Okawville , Illinois , United States
I’ve purchased several guitars and gear from Mojo’s and it’s fantastic – here’s why. The staff actually knows something about the instruments and gear they sell. You can ask questions (even if you don’t really know what to ask) and they are patient and and knowledgeable. I was treated like they wanted me to hang out there, take my time – not just buy something and go away. I do my homework when I buy (I’m a bit of a cheapskate) and I’ve always been given great deals. I remember coming in to buy a specific brand guitar, on the high price end. The Owner asked me what I was looking for and actually directed me to a different model at a cheaper price! The best part was that he was right- the more expensive model would not have worked as well. I still have the guitar he sold me – it’s exactly what I needed. My friend wanted to upgrade his bass and had 2 bass guitars he wanted to trade in. The national chain said no, but Mojo’s gave him a great deal on his trade-in and a new bass. I just don’t get that kind of service elsewhere. I remember one instance when I needed a little help (my guitar was dropped), so I brought it in. The owner took a look at it, spent a few minutes making adjustments, and handed it back- fixed. No charge. I live in Godfrey, so it’s a bit of a hike to get to Mojo’s but it’s worth it.
Awesome store– I have been buying stuff here for years. The staff is friendly and helpful. Great prices, and no BS. Lots of American made guitars and basses. Worth a visit, and there are good restaurants and bars in the vicinity
Great music store! Took lessons there when I was younger and I’ve also bought a ton of stuff from them. Highly recommended!
Fun shop for sure! Eye candy hanging on all the surrounding walls. The shop’s main focus is guitars so it’s definitely the place to go if that’s your go to instrument. Workers are knowledgeable and always very helpful. It’s no breaking news that guitar shops tend to give off awkward, intimidating vibes (understandably so when you visit any shop with high pricetagged merch) and I do have to try and hide my feelings of squirminess while there, but I enjoy going and will continue to.
Lots of inventory and they are willing to deal
After years of taking time off from playing music, band break up really made me step away, I’ve decided to look around for a new guitar and rig, have gone to Mojo’s, have purchase three terrific instruments from them in the past 15 years, never had a bad experience, today, however, was not the same. I walked into a store deflated of its prior pulse, I was seen and ignored, walked around looking for what would be my next stage guitar. Two employees, yet no time to greet, or attempt to make a sale, to show products, I even made an attempt by asking what’s new, even then not a singular spark of interest in my affairs with them was of significance. I walked out of there for the last time, sad to see such a place become so cold and uninviting.
I went in to get my guitar repaired, the staff members sat at the counter and talked and ignored me for several minutes. Then after they finally looked at my guitar it turned out to be a very expensive repair so I decided to just buy a new guitar. One would think this would be cue to start selling a guitar, instead they ignored me some more and made me feel awkward for playing any guitar they had. So I went to swing city music right down the road and they instantly came to help and found a guitar that was right for me.

Address: 400 S Hanover St, Okawville, IL 62271 , Okawville , Illinois , United States
Very pleasant experience, lots of great help from kayden. Sincere welcoming atmosphere with tons of music equipment to choose from. From what I seen you can pretty much come in and hang out while choosing your next buy. I loved it. It’s what young musicians need everywhere in America. Keep it up guys.
Screw Guitar Center, Dude here actually helped me
Great staff. Very helpful. Decent variety of used gear. Always fun to see what oddball instruments they have acquired.
A good old school music store.
It’s a really good place. Sorry, we were the ones that crashed intk the building
This place is so bad I’d rather go to guitar center and I hate guitar center. They are fine if you’re just going for lesson but if you’re doing any type of business seriously save yourself the trouble and go to any other local store or guitar center.
My experiences their have been very bad. Only 2 people in the store know anything. The owner who name is Art is a complete and total jerk!!! Don’t expect him to respect you unless you are spending loads of Cash. His workers are nice. The store though just feels dusty everytime I walk in their. This has been my experience. Use to like them now Im just fed up with customer service. They do have rare gear tho. Which for me is why I liked visiting their.
The entrance was beautiful the photos of all the different artist and musicians was wonderful and gave me an idea of what I could be some day. I was greeted appropriately, and they answered all my questions, but that was just what they did. They didn’t ask any further questions or give me a reason to be there and learn about the infinite possibilities of music from them and their instructors. It seemed like their knowledge of music and instruments had become just a job.
6. Omega Music
Address: 1371 Niedringhaus Ave, Granite City, IL 62040 , Okawville , Illinois , United States
Phenomenal customer service. Hands down the best place for lessons in the area!!!
I’ve known Jonathan, Debbie and Mike Vorce for a very long time. They’re wonderful people who will do what they can to make your visit successful. The lessons are fun, they’re flexible with your scheduling needs, the prices are fair and they’re knowledgeable about the music business. One of my favorite places to go.
I LOVE this store! I could spend hours bothering the proprietors with every little question I have! The best part is that if they don’t have the answer, the work tirelessly until an answer is found! Great deals, prices and customer service! Best. Music. Store. Ever.
Great people. Great merch. Fair prices.
Very nice selection.
Great place to get your instruments to have layaway and they have plenty of musical things going on
