It’s a no brainer, seriously. I’ve been going here since since I was 16, and used to annoy George with my Stephen Stills impressions. He was patient with me, lol. Anyway, this place is and has always been much more than a guitar shop. Yes, it’s a big part of who they are, but make no mistake, it’s also a place to be inspired, and be around people who truly love the instrument. They are the ONLY place I send folks.
Excellent shop
Had a guitar cable when I needed it.
Thé Owners are lousy business
No prices listed
Not many mandolins
2. Spindrift Guitars
Address: 300 State St, New London, CT 06320 , Ostrov , Connecticut , United States
I recently discovered Spindrift Guitars. Went there because they had three of my top wish-list guitars on their walls. Vince set me up to make my comparisons and when I chose a used, Epiphone ’59 Standard Aged Dark Burst guitar he let me compare it to a couple of Gibsons at two and three times the price. Really helped me decide. Went back a few days later and completed the deal. A great pleasure dealing with Vince and a great assortment of quality instruments. It’s my favorite guitar store within a 100 mile radius!
The guitar is proving to outdo my expectations!
Looking forward to returning and checking out guitars there in the future!
Came into the shop after losing my favorite guitar and these guys turned my whole day around…they definitely know their stuff but more importantly they are a group of really good guys. Let me play around till I found something that fit the bill and never tried to hard sell me a thing. I for sure recommend Spindrift to anyone looking to get some serious instruments accompanied by some seriously great service. Thanks guys!
Great selection of guitars from Taylor, Martin, Huss and dalton, Boucher McPherson, reverend, stock guitars and more. Staff was super knowledgeable and cool. No pushy sales vibes. They also build guitars and tube amps in house. Spindrift is a true guitar store.
Shop owner very helpful with advice on adjusting the action on my mandolin. It is specifically a guitar shop.
They really know their guitars.
Nice small ma and pa guitar shop
I brought in vintage Gibson Les Paul custom for a Re fret and they completely ruined it there was surface scratches ,chips in the fret board the frets were un even and buzzed. After 4 attempts bringing the guitar back to the store with the problems only half way fixed every time or even new problems I just cut my loses and brought my guitar to a real professional if you want it done right I do not recommend bringing your guitar here for major repairs
