I met with Gary and Ron today and they were the KINDEST people I have ever had the pleasure of doing business with. Super kind, very patient and only want to find the perfect fit for you. I was really touched by how much they helped me today. I bought the hybrid mouthpiece for alto and soprano saxophone and it was love at first blow and toot. I am absolutely sold. I also bought the green eco reeds from them and WOW- how have I not been playing on these already? I will definitely keep coming back and singing the gospel of Gary and Ron to my friends. Thank you guys so much!!
Much love from Gloria!
Es calidad me encanta esta boquilla es la mejor que e tenido I valla que e comprado bastante boquillas no ay otra que se compre la recomiendo bendiciones
They have the best mouthpieces and reeds that I’ve ever played. Gary, Ron, Valerie, Dawn and the whole staff are super wonderful people to work with.

Great pawn shop. They are fare and friendly and willing to work with you.
Purchased guitar. Manager Brandon was exceptional and this is one of my favorite places to shop now! Amazing Deals!
If you want an honest reliable place to do business come here. Clean well maintained store that is great to do business with.
Buen trato muy amables
Have never been into this pawn shop and NEVER again will I return. I walked in and an elderly Hispanic woman greeted me. As soon as I showed her the item I was hoping to sell and the price point I was hoping to be close to her entire attitude changed. My item was pushed towards me, and I was told with an attitude that a manager would have to help me because they ‘never give that much.’
I was shocked at how she replied to me as I wasn’t rude about what I had said. I stood and waited a bit while I could see 2 others in the back just standing around. She continued to work and when I asked when they’d come out to help, she couldn’t tell me. Thank you for the quick and poor experience.
Called and asked if they take desktops, they said yes.. I drive almost 30 minutes to get there, to be told no because my high end gaming PC won’t sell.. it will sit here a long time.. well I wasn’t trying to sell it.. just pawn.. so obviously I’m coming back to get it.. just happened to be short on cash after the holidays.. never going back.. the lady was rude.. the manager was short with me and wasted my time having me hook it all up just to tell me they don’t really sell PCs…thanks
Rude. Nasty. Unprofessional. Crooks. They over charge for everything. Absolutely disgusting.
5. Walmart Supercenter
Address: 508 10th St E, Palmetto, FL 34221 , Palmetto , Florida , United States
Fast paced. I give the store 5 stars because the people that work there are friendly and work hard. Working there is hard. Walmart as a corporation however deserves little credit. I knew a guy who got fired for life simply because he became homeless.
Not enough help. If I wanted a job checking myself out I would apply!! Discounts should apply when checking urself out!
Not a bad Walmart, although the employees never smile or say hello. They definitely need more self-checkout stations. It’s always so busy and takes forever to get through.
Unfortunately there was only one live check out. I have no interest in bagging my own groceries. The price and selection is completely offset by having to bag your own groceries. I don’t know if I’ll be back
It’s exactly what I expected from a Walmart.
Once again waiting in long lines. Apparently the holidays are over and there are only a few registers open. Even the self checkout has a long line.
I decided that because this store always busy I would try to save time by shopping later in the evening when less people are around. I arrived around 10pm and headed to the check out with a near full cart at around 11pm. The picture I posted shows what I saw when I went to check out. Self Scan was closed, Scan and Go closed (with 3 store employees standing there laughing and conversing while totally oblivious to the line that had formed. By the time I decided to leave I am guessing there were no less than 20 people in front of me at the ONLY cashier line opened. More were in the line behind me. After about 10 minutes of no sign of movement in the line I decided my time was too important to waste waiting for the single cashier to check everyone out. Horrible. I abandoned my cart and went home. I’ll shop Publix from now on. Faster and more customer friendly. I don’t mind paying more for quality service.
Only 2 customer service is so bad..
6. Family Dollar
Address: 615 10th St E, Palmetto, FL 34221 , Palmetto , Florida , United States
Crowded. They had a lot of boxes that need to be put on the shelf
My first visit to this store !!!! They have unique things but prices little higher then dollar general .. the best thing about my visit was the friendly cashier LISA! GREAT ATTITUDE 😉
Es un excelente lugar con buenos precios y una calidad buena
Went Christmas shopping, nothing for gifts here.
If I could do zero stars I would for THIS LOCATION ONLY. I have tried to go here 3 or 4 times and even tho it is in the open times, the doors are ALWAYS locked and not able to get in. The lights are on and looks open besides always being locked with no notes on the door.
Saturday afternoon the 9th of January. About 3:00 p.m. . Nobody at the counter inside four customers in line. I waited for about 10 minutes and gave up and left
7. David Jefferies Piano Tuning
Address: 1412 6th St W, Palmetto, FL 34221 , Palmetto , Florida , United States
David was awesome. Professional, cheerful, punctual and obviously skilled at his craft. He also suggested a couple of ways I could save money on his services. I’ll be calling him in the future for tuning.
I have an old baby grand that I wanted to get tuned and repaired for my son. I called David Jefferies and explained the condition of the piano and what I wanted done. He was very professional and explained possible costs for what I wanted done. The day of the appointment, he was punctual and even called ahead to let me know he was on his way. After assessing the piano, he recommended that instead of pouring a lot of money into repairing an old failing piano, I use that money to purchase a piano with fewer problems. I really appreciated his honesty. I asked him to still tune it so that it would sound better for my son until we are able to get a new one, which he happily did.
I am very satisfied with the quality and value of the service he provided, and would use him again for piano tuning/repairs/professional opinion.
Bit of a con man gave a price of $100 on the phone, arrived all nice and sweet, played the keyboard a couple of times and said I can tune it to itself for the $100 but if you want it tuning properly it will be $165 who ever heard of a piano tuned to itself thats absurd!
8. Dollar General
Address: 1001 10th St W, Palmetto, FL 34221 , Palmetto , Florida , United States
I’ve been looking for a local coffee house for awhile & finally came across this gem. great service every time I go, lots of coffee options & good food. The only downside is they’re not open Sunday mornings. I love their lavender drink.
Very good service, delicious well prepared food and coffee.
Good atmosphere. Asked for smaller than normally offered size cappuccino 10oz not 12. Completely lacked a thick foam, just bubbles. Beans roasted in Gainesville with a good flavor profile. With a stop if on this end of bay.
Extremely slow service despite 4 people working. No apology for taking 15 minutes to make 2 coffee drinks.
Parking: Convenient parking.
Had coffee & danish with the girls. Danish was delicious. Staff was friendly, but a little slow… & they forgot one of our Danish. There were 4 of us. I would go back.
I want to like it here, it’s a cute nice environment and the coffee when done right is GREAT. It’s hit or miss if the coffee is done right and I don’t have a complicated order. The main complaint is that every person who works here is very young, the service is slow and unresponsive. Which is normal when dealing with teenagers but frustrating when at a place of business. I think the problem could be fixed if there was someone overseeing. I’m the go out of my way for good coffee kind of person but I just don’t do that for here but I want to. Hopefully they improve.
First time and last time going here. Coffee is extremely watered down and the customer service wasn’t great by the blonde haired cashier.
Great service, horrible food. I was not happy with any it. My grilled cheese looked like a goopy, gloopy mess and the cheese wasn’t even melted. It was a complete turnoff just looking at it. The only reason why I’m not giving the place 1 ⭐️ is because the drink i ordered was good.
10. Redbox
Address: 945 8th Ave W, Palmetto, FL 34221 , Palmetto , Florida , United States
Redbox is convenient, beware of your understanding of it though. If you rent before 9pm that is considered a night. Say 8:45 to 9am the next day. That is a night. This redbox is next to winn dixie so it makes shopping and renting easy.
13. Scavengers Marketplace
Address: 2100 US-301, Palmetto, FL 34221 , Palmetto , Florida , United States
Nicest thrift store I’ve been too. It takes a lot of time to see everything. The staff is friendly and professional
Absolutely amazing experience.
I needed special Michael Jackson items for my fiancée and Klark & Sherry where able to get me in touch with the right vendor.
I was able to get some amazing memorabilia at a grate price.
Bought a piece of furniture from here that ended up not being damaged. after contacting the store they worked with me, accommodated me, and helped me find a much better piece.
This is not a thrift shop.
Alot of different things. Old dishes. 78 records. Some old baskets and dolls.
Many different booths you go through.
Alot of new stuff…very fine quality.
I enjoyed walking through the store.
Nice place. A little something for everyone
Lots of things to look at, the majority of it is the coastal, milkpaint redone furniture. Very nicely done. A few booths of vintage things, big place, air conditioned, worth a stop if you’re in the area
Disappointing, mostly new – made to look old stuff with the antique price attached.
Barely used stuff – few antiques.
Bit over-priced…
14. Emiline’s Antiques & Collectibles
Address: 1415 10th St W, Palmetto, FL 34221 , Palmetto , Florida , United States
Loved this place so much. So many cool little booths to spend your time looking through. Can’t wait to come back again!
Great selection. Helpful staff. One of our favorite antique stores.
Wonderful people and finds
A little bit of everything nice. Vintage jewelry, crystal, dishes, art, collectibles all under one roof.
Fun place to brows.
Great place, bought a few things
Lots of antiques and vintage stuff to look through. An employee was pushy to get any remaining customers out of the store right at 5pm when they close. It’s like okay we are making our way to the front anyway. Definitely have had friendlier experiences at other antique places where they don’t want to push you out of the store and look over you to see if you’re leaving. It’s a shame thought this place was really neat looks like will go elsewhere.
Voice recording says they’re open. They’re temporarily shut down….So much for letting your fingers do the walking!
Extremely high prices. Will not go back. The prices were much better before they moved to this new building.
15. Granny’s Cubby Thrift Shop
Address: 800 8th Ave W, Palmetto, FL 34221 , Palmetto , Florida , United States
She just reopened Granny’s Cubby a year ago. And what a great transformation from the previous owner. A pleasure to shop At. Great selection of items. And such a pleasant person. Would recommend this shop as one of the best to spend a pleasant afternoon or just anytime.
I had a wonderful experience at Granny’s Cubby. Granny’s customer service was excellent and she has some really great stuff. Found a beautiful cake stand to add to my collection thanks to Granny & my boyfriend❤️ I would highly recommend this antique store. Thank you Casanova
The owner is so lovely and welcoming!! Lots of great finds! 🙂
In the plaza north of the bank. It’s like an indoor flea market. Very Good Prices. A wide variety of gifts and selections of knick knacks, clothes, jewelry and vintage items. I believe it was the owner there when I went. Very nice & informative. I very much appreciated the wonderful uplifting music. Great place to seek out something you can’t find elsewhere. 4 stars because parking lot is small, And maybe needs better signage. Absolutely Worth the Look.
16. Music Go Round Bradenton
Address: 5108 15th St E Unit 204, Bradenton, FL 34203 , Palmetto , Florida , United States
This is an amazing place, such a large inventory of quality used gear! I must add it is nice to have a worthy alternative over Sam Ash and GC!!
BEST PLACE IN TOWN FOR MUSIC! Unlike the other music stores, they actually have a nice selection in vintage gear with competitive prices! and We’d know! family owned and operated! SUPPORT LOCAL!!
Great staff. Well maintained guitars. Good prices.
I’ve added to my above comment after my latest stellar guitar purchase.
Thus far, I have purchased two guitars from this store and could not be more pleased with these instruments. The staff and owners are pleasant and helpful. The guitars are setup and their strings are clean. This makes trying out a guitar a very pleasant experience vs the dirty guitars at the local big box store. I highly recommend this business. A+
I like the idea of new and used music gear chain store. They are able to access instruments and equipment from all over the country. The salesman could have been more knowledgeable but overall, it’s really good.
A little light on the trade in prices but other than that great selection and customer service
Nice price’s
The “owner” is not very kind and not really knowledgeable about music regarding stereo equipment. They can’t even test the speakers they sell properly to show you they work. Being a used equipment store this makes no sense. Especially after being told we are a big store and don’t need your business. Went to guitar center & got bigger speakers for a better deal anyway. Steer clear
Everything is overpriced, if you add $10 to the value u can get a new one. Guys at the front desk are really disrespectful. That is so many other stores around with better pice and great environment .
I bought a brand new student violin a few weeks ago. The store and staff seemed fine at the time of purchase. Preparing my daughter to start violin lessons today, I took the violin out of storage for the first time. I found that the handle was cracked (to the sellers credit, it is in a way that could have been missed by the seller). Also, the tuning pegs were very loose and don’t hold the strings taught for very long. I called the store this afternoon to discuss my options and immediately the woman (owner I believe) became defensive of her products and tried to give me many reasons of how this couldn’t be her fault. I just wanted to exchange it for another higher quality violin-I wasn’t upset at all. After she twice accused my daughter of dropping it and saying she “has no idea where its been”, rambling about their return policy being 7 days she said I had no options there because the damage that my daughter caused might make the item unsellable. What poor business etiquette. She chose to defend the sale of a $109 violin rather than her reputation and all future sales of a very musically inclined family with 4 kids. From the other comments I read it seems this store doesn’t have sales that can sustain it and they’re attitude is to get money right now, rather than create a lucrative business with a future.

Great thrift shop! Quality of items vary,,so there is something for everyone. I always find a treasure or gifts for friends. There are always unique furniture and decor items. Be sure to bring cash.
Great place great prices even on the “boutique” items! Some of the ladies are a bit stern but they warm up if you’re nice.
Nice place, tons of stuff. Staff was friendly and descent prices. Tons of variety.
A very clean , neat and well organized shop. Hidden treasures now and then too!
Me and my 60 year old mother went to donate a bunch a really nice winter blankets we did not need. It was 420 in the afternoon and we showed up to donate and who I’m assuming was an owner walked out side with attitude in his voice repeating “were closed were closed were closed” to witch I asked, are you not taking donations and he snickered back “not this late in the day were not” making me feel very embarassed that I even tried to bring my stuff to them. For a church owned thrift store you would think they would be a little more friendly or kindly asked us to come back. Instead he was jerk. How hard is it to take the donations set them inside the back door and have delt with them on Monday. Very disappointed.
Mmm it’s definitely a thrift store and it has good prices. However some of the lady’s definitely make you feel not welcomed. Every time I walked and looked down an isle there was a worker always saying “oh let me slide in here I have to grab something “ obviously she never did grab something. And I don’t know if perhaps they thought maybe I was going to take something? I mean come on I got the point . they ONLY take cash NO card. P.s I didn’t buy anything and I’ll possibly never be back .
