Top notch repair of vintage gear; these guys care.
Great place, been bringing my guitars here for service for years. Mike is awesome!
If you are a musician or a starting musician this is the place to go they will help you with anything you need Mike the owner will even build you a guitar from scratch just like he did it for the players of Kiss
Music teacher for guitar lessons very good.
This is a wonderful place. Mike is amazing and has so many instrument. New and used.

A wonderful place to take piano lessons at, been taking lessons for 9 years and have enjoyed every lesson. Tristan makes the lessons fun and enjoyable, really thankful for all the help he has given me.
Tristan is great teaching and motivating our daughter to learn to play piano!
5. Hidden Music
Address: 7925 W 103rd St #2, Palos Hills, IL 60465 , Palos Heights , Illinois , United States
John is the best when it comes to setting up a guitar. Fun to talk with. Very knowledgeable.
I’ve had nothing but a great experience at Hidden Music. John is very professional and does great work. Will continue to go for my guitar needs.
One of my favorite places in the world, is gonna be a sad day and an end of an Era whenever this place closes. I learn something new everytime I’m here and I’ve been coming here for 16 years.
6. McMusic Lessons & Performances
Address: 10630 S Roberts Rd, Palos Hills, IL 60465 , Palos Heights , Illinois , United States
I take classical guitar lessons from Kevin. I love ❤️ his emphasis on music theory! Even though I am a very beginner, it helps me with reading and making sense of written music. I would recommend him to anyone who is serious about wanting to learn to play the guitar, especially classical, as he is so well trained in it and an excellent teacher!
Kevin is one of the best instructor I have a music and I have tried a few he is one of the best to teach your detailed music for life. I would choose Keven
He teaches fundamentals that most teachers ignore in my experience.
The teacher is thorough, patient, and flexible. Maybe it’s just because I’m a beginner, but I feel like I learn so much each week. Definitely worth it
Great instructor. I had absolutely no experience with playing instruments and thought that I’d struggle as an adult trying to learn for the first time. Kevin is a very patient instructor and will teach at your pace. His prices are very reasonable in comparison to other places I’ve looked into.
Good, friendly, knowledgeable teachers.
7. Peterson Strobe Tuners
Address: 11601 Mayfield Ave, Alsip, IL 60803 , Palos Heights , Illinois , United States
These are stellar tuners. Well worth the money. I’m not sure my guitar had ever really properly been tuned before.
What’s more, the customer service is just top notch. I broke a tuner (totally my fault), and it turns out that they actually do repairs (who does that any more?). Really fantastic company, really fantastic product.
Nothing like playing a guitar that’s in tune!?
Fantastic tuners! Incredible precision and accuracy! The clip-on models are great for live performers. As a guitar player I used a cheap tuner for a long time, but since I switched over to a Peterson I’ve never regretted it for a minute. These tuners are the absolute gold standard for quality and detail. 100% worth every penny!
Couldn’t find a parking spot or entry door.

Great people and good price
Most pawn shops you haggle over price this one not so much
Bad way of doin bissuness
They have stuff that has been on the shelf for months and dont know if it works and no prices….nobody in here knows nothing…
This place is a joke. The guy that helped me had an attitude and all I did was ask him a question. They also try to give you Peanuts for things you may want to get a loan for. EZ Pawn offered a lot more and the customer service was way better.
11. Southside Guitar
Address: 10832 S Depot St, Worth, IL 60482 , Palos Heights , Illinois , United States
Colin at Southside Guitar does such an incredible job teaching my boys guitar. It is amazing to watch anyone who can keep my kids focused for 30 minutes! He is a natural, and the boys are having fun too.
Great player good person very easy going. I’m a professional saxophone player. If I was learning guitar I would take lessons from him.
I’ve known him for a while and he has always been great with the guitar. Very knowledgeable, understanding and easy to work with.
12. House of Music
Address: 14426 John Humphrey Dr, Orland Park, IL 60462 , Palos Heights , Illinois , United States
absolutely amazing!! i know that when i went in they were down staff and everyone was very busy and stressed but i had the best experience. they were so so lovely and helpful! i 100% recommend!
Lovely staff and manager!
Great place to teach music. My daughter has been going there for over three years and she just amazed me how much she has learned.
Staff’s kind n’ “mentorly” (that’s a word, right?). They mostly sell guitars, but I have seen a drum set, an accordion, and a few keyboards there too. Not very traditional in their approach to teaching instruments, they don’t really go over music theory. If you’re looking for a laid back approach to learning guitar, drums, etc, you’ve got a good chance here.
I stopped by this shop recently to inquire about music lessons for my 7 year old son. I was greeted by the owner who had his face mask dangling half off of his face. You would think that during a global pandemic the owner would take more care in making sure the students in his care are safe, this guy can’t even wear a mask correctly. Also, all the instruments they had for sale looked cheap.
Waste of time.
My son has been learning piano with them for almost a year. Their teachers are also unstable. The working teacher also has a bad attitude. It’s a very bad experience!
Their Gluten free menu and food is amazing! One of the few places that has a vegetarian/vegan/gluten free menu. The service was great and everyone was very pleasant.
Timmy Tin Tim is the most fantastic bartender, who goes out of way to please all his customers, even the most discerning, like the world renowned “Bubbles” who is more discerning than most customers, since he considers himself extremely handsome and a man of the world……..
One of my favorite breakfast places. Everything in the menu is delicious and everyone is very friendly. If only parking wasn’t terrible but there’s not much they can do with their location.
I have been there twice because it is close to family. I think they cut some of the vegetarian dishes from the menu. Don’t be fooled by their vegetarian menu. It is only a couple things then a bunch of gluten free meat dishes. Staff and atmosphere are nice.
A definite hidden gem or a diamond in the rough are accurate descriptions of the Harvest Room. Food quality was better than our expectation and the service was attentive and friendly. We really like this higher end everyday (don’t need to dress up and everyone knows you) restaurant. The food was extremely fresh and very tasty! Prices were fair. We give this place 4.5 stars!
I recommend the chicken Norris.
Jennifer was an outstanding bartender and server, served Great Lakes Edmund Fitzgerald Porter ( and knew the story behind the song) with turkey burger. Outstanding after a 30 mile bike ride.
Location in Munster is much better. The food and service is not good at this location and I honestly got a racist vibe here.
We went on a slow Sunday night. The wait staff was friendly, if a bit awkward. Mediterranean dip was good enough. However all of the entrees were undercooked. Ordered a steak medium rare that came out blue rare. Lucky I like my beef bloody, but the potatoes were barely cooked. It was served on a pink salt block and also sliced in half before it reached the table. So even under done, all of the juices were gone, so dry and under cooked. Slicing the steak on the salt block made it inedible, and had to be transferred to a new plate. Another member of our party ordered the market fish, again undercooked. Served with what appeared to be raw bacon, I tried to nibble it thinking no one would dare serve raw meat. I immediately regretted the choice.
On a top note, they did have warm Zombie Dust.
Sorry Harvest Room, we won’t be coming back.

Revival yoga studio is a place to come and revive from the stresses of daily life. This places give you a sense of happiness all around and brings peace to your souls
Absolutely love the studio! Instructors are excellent. So many classes offered ! All students made to feel welcome – novice to experienced. Classes challenging! Namaste
Revival really changed my life. For someone who has lived in NYC and London for the past 5 years, I honestly can say Revival is the best studio I have ever been to. The instructors are passionate, knowledgeable and caring. I have been having a tough time with my mental health and thought maybe yoga would help. I took Liz Porter’s class and I felt like she just took away all the pain, even if it was for a bit. But that gave me hope that everything was going to be okay. Take Liz Porter’s class!!!
Staff and Instructors are amazing but in my experience, new owner Lindsay does not appear to run the business in a customer-oriented fashion – very different than the previous owner, Megan Doyle who truly embraced the “yogi” spirit. It’s unfortunate because it is such a nice studio in the southwest suburbs.
I’m calling and getting someone’s personal voicemail. What’s their phone number please? Anyone…
attempted to sign my daughter up for kids yoga after she was there for a birthday party. unlike most studios where you can just show up for a drop in class. attempted to call multiple time today without a single call back. so we just showed up and was told since we didn’t sign up by 400 pm for a 430 pm class it was cancelled
18. Midlothian Music
Address: 15645 S 94th Ave, Orland Park, IL 60462 , Palos Heights , Illinois , United States
I stopped by this place before the holidays. Very knowledgeable, welcoming, engaging, and courteous staff. So many “corporate” choices out there, but they’ll never match the level of service you will receive at Midlothian Music.
Hidden gem. Just purchased a guitar and received very knowledgeable help. Got a great guitar and free service for life. I recommend this place highly.
I always wanted to learn to play the guitar. I finally decided to go out and buy my first acoustic guitar. After checking out various music stores my search for the right guitar was over. The moment I stepped into Midlothian Music I was treated like I have been a long time customer of theirs. I had so many questions and being the first time buying a guitar John was such a huge help. He helped me find the right guitar for me. I totally recommend going here! From the experience I had, this will be the only place I will go! You definitely will not be disappointed with this great store!!!
I love all the products but at times the service was bad, other visits there were good service. Thanks!
I ordered online, 2 short scale chip board bass cases- purchased and paid separately including separate shipping charges. They shipped both together in the same Guitar box that was a few inches too short. With a little bubble wrap. Needless to say they were squished. When I called they told me to return them at my own expense. So I drove 40 minutes and returned them in person and received a full refund. I buy a lot of gear and never experienced such sloppy packing and unfriendly service.
UPDATE TO REPLY: THEY EDITED THEIR REPLY AFTER MY INITIAL UPDATE, so let’s go for round 2. I called and asked what bass these cases fit- they could not tell me. This is the first time I have ever heard of a music store selling something that they don’t even know what it’s for. The dimensions WERE not posted when I bought the cases. That is FALSE.
They did ship it in a guitar box that was too small and there is wrinkling and dents on the cases, one moreso than the other. The fact that they are saying otherwise says a lot, just like their replies here on Google to ALL of their negative customer reviews (let alone essentially calling me a liar).
They shipped these poorly, copped attitude on the phone, and in person- then blame the customer in reviews. So here’s the proof and pics.
I would give no stars. I bought a clarinet for my grandson, and a banjo another time for my husband. The son of the owner took care of my husband and me. I went in at Christmas time to buy reeds and the store did not carry what my grandson needed. A 3 1/2 plus Van Doren reed. The man said they don’t make those. So, I bought a 3 1/2. I had to return the box of reeds, as there IS a 3 1/2 plus reed made. I had my 16 year old grandson with me. This man proceeded to berate us as the group Chicago doesn’t use those and if what they use are good enough for them, we should tell the teacher this is not needed. We were verbally lashed IN FRONT OF OTHER CUSTOMERS. I didn’t have the receipt, but remember the discount. This sarcastic man was so intimidating, we felt lousy. I should have been rude, but, as a 16 years old, accomplished clarinetist was with me, I did not, nor am I confrontational. We left, and went to QUINLAN AND FABISH in Burr Ridge, which I strongly recommend to anyone, it is worth the ride. They had, ON A RACK, the EXACT reeds my grandson needed. So, stay away from Midlothian Music.
I asked for an estimate to repair a leak on my daughter’s flute. With no parts needed, they wanted $40. I declined their service and the man on the phone hung up on me. When I picked up the flute, somehow additional keys were bent and leaking. Ridiculous!
19. Hofstra Family Hearing
Address: 12705 S Ridgeland Ave, Palos Heights, IL 60463 , Palos Heights , Illinois , United States
Great follow up…..always there to help Gave my Mom temp hearing aids to help her through a tough personal time. Very caring. Thank you!!!
Friendly & professional. Prices are competitive. My husband was very satisfied with his hearing aids.
I am pleased with the hearing evaluation and services provided by Hofstra Family. Lyndi has taught me how to get maximum benefit from my hearings aids for improved sound and clarity. I have the behind the ear model with bluetooth and wear them 15 hours a day. They are comfortable and have to remind myself to remove them before showering. The bluetooth connects to my phone and tablet. I can softly listen to music in my ears and while enjoying conversations with others, TV volume is now lower and have improved clarity with higher pitch voices and grandchildren. Dale is a pleasure to work with and most helpful with checking insurance approval, warranty, and service.
