Best fried chicken ever! Actually best deli around too!
Clean and organized store. They have a wide variety of choices in a normal size store.
Clean and friendly help
High prices
Great sales
Well your prices are thru the roof!!! Many many items i try to find are not available anymore, to be replaced by generic garbage!! You wont be getting as much of my $ anymore!!!!
It was very dirty & the meat looked bad
Extremely high prices
7. Save A Lot
Address: 1 W 4th St, Pana, IL 62557 , Pana , Illinois , United States
Was good nice people to have there everyone very nice
Always friendly staff and great prices and quality of food. We drive from Shelbyville every 2 weeks to shop here.
They have a great meat department
Local owned store, shop local to keep the money local. It may not have everything a larger store might but it has a good selection at fair prices.
There was very little name brand items I was interested in buying when I was last there.
The lady in the deli is a smart ass, and only had two registers open, with a line that was going into the product aisles. Also something noteworthy, I legit didn’t get anything I bought put into any type of bag. Weird for a grocery store not to bag your items.
I think they are over priced especially for a discount store
This store is really not cheap, in comparison to the other stores I shop at. Aldi is cheaper with better produce etc

Everything
Very nice place with very nice people. One vendor gave my 7 years old some toys for his birthday. They have a little bit of everything and very decent prices.
Place is a lot bigger than I expected on the inside!! Typical consignment shop, nice.
Very nice antique shop. It didn’t look like much from the outside but it is huge with lots of antiques for most all taste.
We enjoy going here to find those rare items. Pana offers a unique way of shopping for those, I wish I could find ???. And then WOW, There it is.
Cash only. If you go they has a large selection of collectibles.
CLOSED. Don’t trust Google to have correct business hours or closing information. This place is no longer in business, yet Google keeps saying they are open.
9. Sidwell Auto Repair & Exhaust
Address: 605 W 2nd St, Pana, IL 62557 , Pana , Illinois , United States
Lot’s of items to choose from as you would expect with reasonable prices too. Great way to browse for awhile.
awesome place to go and look for Collectibles and antiques the staff is friendly and helpful I have been going there for years
Never leave without some bargain in my hand! Murano!!!!
It’s cramped it’s piled up it’s old and Dusty falling apart and I love it they’ve got the most eclectic things out there and they also have your everyday items out there sometimes there’s clothes there’s usually work boots there’s this anything you can think of from soup to nuts if you don’t mind it being gently used love it love it love it
For those.who are travelling to antique stores, youay pass this one by, but it is well worth a stop. The dilapidated building is packed with collectibles, not necessarily antiques, but many interesting items and uniques finds. Part of the building is sinking into the landscape, but I found this to be part of the fun. The only issue here is that it is cash only. Plenty of parking, look for the big sign that says Kollectables
I’m from out of town, drove here 2 days in a row to find it closed. Website is wrong for days and hours, also large sign on the door is wrong for days and hours. Second drive here I saw the tiny sign on the other door saying open Friday and Saturday. ♀️
The mildew/mold smell was SO bad that I had to leave. I started coughing and my lungs hurt. By the time I got outside, my eyes were red and itchy. The few things I saw, before being overcome by the smell, were overpriced. Can’t go back because of mold, but wouldn’t go back anyway because the prices are too high for me.
Never went there
Can’t really say since the place wasn’t actually open despite open signs near the road and hours posted.

In the late 90s early 2000’s this was an awesome store. Used CD’s, Ppl who loved to talk about old bands and music culture, It was different. Mind you, they still have great instrument selection, and fair prices for a small business. Some staff is decent, some have the personality of a week old gym sock. I’d say if your local, pick up your kids first instrument there and support local small business. Idk if the lead dude from x-crush still works there, but he was awesome. but it’s a lottery.
I remember your Christmas store at the Mall always used to eye the Bass in the box and now i am playing that a Jazz Bass i bought i am now in Tennessee so thanks for helping with my dreams
Love going there and stuff but idk if it was one of the employees or just a customer, but this older guy walked up to me and my friend and made a really rude comment about our colored hair “did you wake up late at a party or something?” How the actual heck would anyone think that is an ok thing to say?????
That was one of my favorite music stores to go to and now I’m not so sure, if it were an employee who sayid that. I’m pretty sure it was because he walked to the back after that. If you have colored hair and you take hate comments too seriously, be careful.
So you want to call on the dude behind me in line and not even greet me or tell me to have a nice day? Poor way to run a business. The old white guy at the front is rude and inconsiderate. He chose to serve the man behind me in line, likely because I’m a woman, so congrats on losing not only my 42$ purchase I got refunded today; but all future purchases from my multi instrumentalist husband that has been a customer here for over 6 years. I’ll buy from Amazon before giving my money to rude old men. Do better. Hope it was worth it for that dudes 12 dollars worth of strings.
My family came in just a few minutes ago and they were very ride to us. My boyfriend, who is normally a very strong person, just walked out of this place in tears because they made him feel embarrassed. Smh. Rude rude employees who act like musical elites.

Address: 3700 Wabash Ave, Springfield, IL 62711 , Pana , Illinois , United States
Great music shoppe with a great and large selection of guitars!!!
Slightly expensive, but very helpful and knowledgeable staff.
My go-to music store. Good selection. Always helpful
I’ve been to a lot of music stores, and let me tell ya, avoid the this at all costs. Prices are High, equipment is below average, and the customer service is a joke. If you don’t mind paying top prices for sub standard gear and having to staff look down at you like you owe them something well this is the place for you . Two thumbs down
Ignored from the time I walked into the store until I left.Walked a circle throughout looking for help only to find employees chatting it up. Both looked up at me and quickly turned away and continued talking to each other. Will never get my business.
I am giving two stars because Matt Waldhoff took the time to speak with us in the store. Other than that, I’m not impressed. We were going to consign an expensive Clavinova with them. Upon looking at the contract emailed to us they wanted 40% of the price it sold for, which was satisfactory with us. What was not satisfactory was even thought they only charged $100 to pick-up the clavinova it appeared from the contract they wanted $100 to deliver it to the new owners. Also, they would take no responsibility for any damage that may occur to the unit while it was in their hands. As we had questions regarding that contract we contacted Matt Waldhoff two times via email, asking him to clarify certain aspects of the contract. He never responded back so I assumed they did not want our business. I ended up selling the clavinova on my own and kept the 40% they would otherwise have received. It is inexcusable to not return emails to clarify a contract and I can only assume he took offense that we had questions regarding a contract where they took the profit, but absolutely no responsibility for damage.
14. The Music Shoppe Inc.
Address: 27 E Marketview Dr, Champaign, IL 61820 , Pana , Illinois , United States
Very helpful, kind, and informed staff! I was able to buy a perfect anniversary present for my boyfriend with their help!
The Music Shoppe is a friendly and helpful place to find instruments, music, and accessories. All of the staff are wonderful, but if you or your child plays Saxophone, definitely ask for Seth! He took the time to demonstrate how to use the item before I took it home. From choosing reeds, to neck straps or harnesses, and more, I am grateful to be able to ask an experienced professional at The Music Shoppe for guidance. Thank you for nurturing my young musician!
Such great service! Their in-store selection is amazing, but if they don’t have it, they can get it. They’ll help you choose the right product, get it to you fast, and the price will be competitive. Sure, you could find it on Amazon, but The Music Shoppe will get it for you, make sure it’s exactly what you needed, inspect it for quality and provide ongoing help and service if needed. They’ve got our business for sure.
The Music Shoppe has always provided quality service. We have purchased one instrument from them, but had other instruments serviced. They have knowledgeable staff and I have never been disappointed with any repair or maintenance work they have completed. They bent over backward once to help us in a pinch.
My only complaint is that they are so busy with schools, it is hard to get personal instruments in. (They told me 3 weeks before they could even look at my daughter’s instrument.)
These people are consistently quality professionals. Over the last 5 years I have trusted their service and have not been disappointed.
Last time I came in here I had an employee make fun of me/my instrument because it wasn’t high end (which I knew). Now that I work on my own instruments I know better than to put up with snobby musicians like the one I dealt with here. Three stars because I can’t condemn the entire establishment because of one or two rude employees.
Nice staff, wonderful selection, higher end of the usual price range though.
I went to get my clarinet fixed and they tried to up sell me on getting all my pads fixed and thought I was a child and were annoyed I came in the store when I came to pick it up. I will not be using these services again because of the horrible service I received from the workers.
I went in to have my saxophone serviced. The saxophone I play is pretty nice. I mentioned that I played it in marching band and the woman belittled me for playing a nice instrument in marching band. Sorry I don’t have an unlimited supply of saxophones.
Looked at stuff for over 20 minutes without getting attention of any staff members on a very slow day. I literally was carrying a list of items I needed. Prices were way out of line. Selection was slightly better than Guitar Center.
15. Halpin Music Company
Address: 88 Northport Dr, Alton, IL 62002 , Pana , Illinois , United States
These guys know everything about buying, borrowing and fixing musical instruments!
Friendly and helpful staff!
Was told this was the best place for instrument repair, so I loaded up my son’s sax and made the trek from Highland before work. When I arrived they were not open and wouldn’t be for two more hours! However, a nice gentleman saw me pull in and came out to tell me they are working on having this corrected on Google and invited me inside to have the repairman look at the sax anyway. Quick turnaround and the sax is in tip top shape for a great price. To top it off, the staff who were present when we picked it up were very helpful showing us what we needed to buy without selling us stuff we didn’t need, and even showed my son how to use the reed for the first time! We are just starting for the first time with a fifth grader in band and our younger son won’t be far behind. We will definitely be Halpin customers for lots of years.
Friendly, helpful staff with a surprising knowledge of the instruments. They really care, and it shows.
great customer service and good guitars and pianos
Great service
3 weeks, to have simple repair done. Repair tech in Centralia is discriminatory against people with disabilities, and is a hateful man. He refused to work on my horn after it had been in the Centralia shop for two and a half weeks. They never called me about anything, I had to call them every time to find out any information about my horn. Left several messages that was never returned. Ended up having to have my horn worked on in the Alton shop, I had to to drive TWO and a HALF HOUR OVER 200 MI and pay full price for a repair with no discount even after the tech in Centralia was belligerent and derelict in his responsibilities to fix my sax after it was there for over 2 NEVER AGAIN
It seems as though the technicians that repair instruments can’t repair the instruments correctly without having to send them out for repairs. The customer has to tell and show what exactly is broken or needs repairs. Th oo bad they are the only musical instrument repair shop in Alton
Bad experience. Our band teacher left my daughters instrument there last Thursday. They never even touched it and her band recital is tomorrow. Their representative never bothered to contact the school or teacher. We drove all the way to Alton and took it to Miller’s Music on Swansea. He got it fixed enough to be ready for band recital that night! What a miracle worker. Halpins said it would take them weeks to get it fixed. OMG!
The clerk at Halpins offered an apology after I mentioned the situation. Nothing from the owners themselves. We don’t treat our own customers that way, speaking as a business owner. Sad to say, some businesses just don’t care.
16. Byassee Music and Sound
Address: 521 W Main St, Marion, IL 62959 , Pana , Illinois , United States
New management is great, prices are good and the staff is always helpful. They have been a very good asset for our church and our PA system. They also have some great teachers for students of various instruments.
An awesome music store located inside of a historical building! Great atmosphere, service, and prices! I purchased my first Fender guitar from Byassee in November of last year. I showed up while it was still being setup and had a great conversation with their guitar tech. (He’s got the best job in the world lol.) anyway, he worked with me on the price of the guitar and even threw in a free case with it so I had something to carry it home in. Would highly recommend. Huge selection! Thank you, Byassee, for all of the great service and smiles you provided along the way.
I stopped in today 2/14/2020 and was very impressed!! Extremely knowledgeable, friendly and welcoming store!! Curt helped me with everything and I will definitely be giving them all my business in the future. It’s also great to deal with a family owned business, Curt’s daughter, who also works there was very kind. This place just makes you feel welcome and at home with people that are ready to help with anything you need. It’s was also great to hear Curt play, one of the best guitar players I’ve ever heard, he’s played for 50 years and makes it look effortless!! Stop in and see them, you’ll be glad you did!
Had everything we needed.
Really nice people, just very overpriced
Best place ever to me
They sold me a violin for 2,000 and when I had it appraised the specialist said they cost $100 for a set of three. I will never do business with them again and I urge anyone to go elsewhere
17. Alton Music Exchange
Address: 556 E Broadway, Alton, IL 62002 , Pana , Illinois , United States
This location and the Edwardsville location are amazing! The staff is always friendly and informative. Lessons are very reasonable price wise. I highly recommend
Highly recommend for music lessons excellent teachers
I’ve been coming to swing city 1997 They care about you after the sale They take care of you My salesman came to my gig And help me set up I move to Tennessee I still come to swing city I just ordered an amplifier and had speakers Fix there they still take care of me because they have great people working for them They never forget you they’re good people You can’t go wrong there
A good old school music store.
It’s a really good place. Sorry, we were the ones that crashed intk the building
This place is so bad I’d rather go to guitar center and I hate guitar center. They are fine if you’re just going for lesson but if you’re doing any type of business seriously save yourself the trouble and go to any other local store or guitar center.
They hate drummers. Lost a sale because they were condescending to a young man I was with. We’ll be taking our business elsewhere.
I frequently purchased merchandise over my years, normally I do business up north. I decided to buy a guitar for a gift about several months later I noticed that the bridge on the guitar was coming apart so I took the guitar back for exchange but was refused to exchange because of warranty. I didn’t expect a new guitar to come apart especially at the bridge we have several at home and never had an issue besides basic maintenance. I don’t feel as if I need to bring rulers, micrometers, calculators to purchase a instrument. Please spend your hard earned money at some other music shop if you want quality and respect.
19. Joshs Guitar Shop
Address: 1502 N 8th St, Pekin, IL 61554 , Pana , Illinois , United States
Josh fixed my guitar quickly for a reasonable price. He was great to work with. Will definitely be back!
I just got my guitar back from Josh’s and the way it sounds and plays is like night and day. He is truly an artist. Masters of their craft at Josh’s! Will recommend
One of the best guitar repair, amp repair, luthier shops in the country. Highly recommend!
Josh and Daimien are as friendly and down to earth. Treated this hobby player with the same consideration as a gigging musician. Rewired my guitar and dropped a push/pull pot in and didn’t charge an arm and a leg. Will patronize again.
Went there to get my guitar because I got no updates on the guitar and they took the pickgaurd off of my vintage 1953 SJ200 Gibson acoustic without me knowing and broke off a piece of binding around the sound hole. Then when I was gonna restring the instrument they couldn’t find my bridge pins which are original to the guitar. Ill give them this they got rid of the main rattle of the guitar but I was expecting some extra caution and care for taking in such an instrument.
Overall: Very Disorganized, Unprofessional service…
20. Don’s Music Land

Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Great selection of music and instruments!
