Staff at perry pawn shop are friendly and excellent to do business with. Great local business that actually supports our Military members and Veterans
My family has always trusted the friendly, professional people at Perry Pawn Shop for many years. Always great quality jewelry, yard items, household items, etc. The service is always great and positive attitudes. Just before I was to leave on for vacation and our 29th wedding anniversary I took my wedding ring in for repair. I did not expect it back for 4-6 weeks. Not what Brian said, just what I estimated. I had lost the diamond and since I don’t ever take off my ring, it was in pretty bad shape. I was amazed and thrilled when Stephanie called me the next day and it was ready! I had not expected to be able to wear it on my anniversary. When I picked it up, it was Gorgeous!!! Hasn’t sparkled like that in a long time. Beautiful new diamond, new prongs, and clean like never before. Oh my gosh I am so happy! It brought tears to my eyes because it was as beautiful as the day my loving husband gave it to me. So, if you have jewelry repair or cleaning that needs to be done, take it to Brian! Great price, great work, great guy! You guys are The Best!
Came in to see if I needed to get my ring re sized and left with a PERFECT fit and a beautifully cleaned ring in 20 minutes!
Nice folks. Prices ok. Not huge but you just might find what you are looking for!
I would call this location passable at best. They have consistently given the lowest offer I can find on items over the last several years, with nearby locations like Van’s in Warner Robins doubling if not even tripling their offer every time. If you’re in a pinch and just need to cover the bare minimum in a tight spot, they’ll do. But if you have the option, go anywhere else.
My dad and I just went in to look at a couple handguns. We were looking at a few different models to decide what we wanted. The man helping decided to make smart comment ” I feel like I’m at a gun show, which one do you want to buy”!! Because we were apparently bothering him by looking at a few different ones. I said well we both want one, but if it’s a problem to look and decide then whatever.
He was very condescending, we were the only customers, not like he had others to help!!
Was very interested in a couple he had, but guess we’ll go somewhere else.
And yes, we had money in hand and were ready to buy today…
It’s a shame! Will not be returning! Not that they care obviously, but lost at least $700 in sales!!
Not a fan …..owner is not as friendly as commercial suggest and doesn’t give good deals. His items are very expensive and he low balls your items to pawn, not very good at all, It’s his way or the highway. Keep it moving nothing to see here.
Rude customer service, female employee was short when asked questions about merchandise. I personally would not shop at this pawn shop. I called for questions and was rudely told I could only ask one more question, unless I was buying something within the next five minutes. Last time I checked the customers are always right. I was very nice all the way through the conversation. Evidentially, this woman was in a bad mood or otherwise….
4 1/2 Stars
The store is being rearranged so finding some things took a bit longer. That’s understandable so I didn’t mind. There are some items that haven’t been in stock for a month or more but the labels are still on the shelves. Will they get those items in? Did they forget to remove the label?
My cashier was a delight and I hope he continues to have such an upbeat/happy attitude.
Always full
As a non US citizen on vacation these supercenters are always amazing places to walk around. You can pretty much get anything you’d like.
To me it seems the prices are fair and the products are of good quality. I’m always somewhat jealous when I walk around the meat section. So many delicious options to choose from.
Walmart needs to do better with pricing. Also the folks who are pulling the “buy online pick up in store” orders needs to ensure that they are pulling good quality produce items.
Trash. Same story, 2 cashiers when 6 are needed.
Small, strangely organized and laid out. Missing items I’m used to seeing at my home store.
Booting/towing trucks is ridiculous. Most of us stop to just shop then leave some of us just need a safe place to park for the night. This is the lowest thing you could do to a trucker. How the hell does your stuff get to your store…. oh wait by truck!!!!!!!!!!!
6. Abba House
Address: 1347 Sam Nunn Blvd, Perry, GA 31069 , Perry , Georgia , United States
Nice thrift store with relaxing praise and worship music playing. I found exactly the treasures I was looking for. I wish the negative complaining employee had been actually listening to the music.
Great finds that literally saves lives. All proceeds go to the women and children at the Abba House. Ladies learn how to work at this store as part of the Abba House program, they do classes/groups each morning and work the thrift store in the afternoon. At the Abba House, Hope is restored, Lives are transformed and families are reconciled. God Bless all that this wonderful ministry does. Thank you!!
Always something good at Abba House!
Like the idea and concept but alot of stuff they sell is broken such as toys.
Nice big place, little bit of everything.
Friendly staff
They charged me way to much for something I bought and it wasn’t what I thought it was they will not give me a refund!!! Not sure I will be shopping there anymore!!
To expensive and i am not pying 79.99 for a dress at a thrift store
Very high on second hand items
7. Redbox
Address: 1367 Sam Nunn Blvd, Perry, GA 31069 , Perry , Georgia , United States
Old country style restaurant featuring memorabilia from the good old times.Food is excellent at average prices.Servers are very friendly. Mini market on premises with good supply of products.
Good experience despite having only two servers working, which were both hosting, bussing, and waiting on customers. Our server, Aja, did all of that flawlessly, making the customer experience still great despite the obstacles present. She is a very good go-to for those who like to request servers by name. One of the best in the middle GA area!
Stopped by from a road trip and it was swamped. In and out in an hour! Everyone was coordinated and ready to serve with a smile.
Great place to go to for breakfast lunch and dinner
Cracker Barrel is always a good home cooked meal at a reasonable price.
Not the quality of food restaurant use to serve. Ate there because we were traveling, it was close to motel.
Nice gift items.
Our waitress couldn’t get our order right she brought us silverware rolled up in napkins and not in a basket no straws are drinks before she took our order and she didn’t even take my daughter’s order so we got The manager to get us another waitress per the manager and straws and he took my daughter’s order the other waitress very rude and disrespectful
It was busy as usual on a Sunday, but I was seated timely. My eggs needed to be recooked and still came out overcooked. The grits were cold and the butter pats were frozen. I had to request several items that should have been on the table. At checkout, no one was at the register, so had to wait. Overall, I rate this a C.
9. Gottwals Books
Address: 909 Carroll St, Perry, GA 31069 , Perry , Georgia , United States
Great bookstore. The only negative is that they don’t have any locations near us, but definitely one of our stops every time we’re back in GA.
Great book store, for true book lovers. Searching is half the fun.
Large bookstore and gift shop. Great gifts and toys for children. My son couldn’t wait till we got home and could play with one of the toys he got there. Family friendly and clean.
Excellent selections, well organized, great prices, good exchange program … Is it possible to fall in love with a bookstore?
Gottwals has the items for your Christmas wishes!!!
Very nice small town book store. However, I have never been in a book store that doesn’t have any type of card- greeting card section. We made several purchases, but I was looking for unique cards.
Lady working today; Please don’t be so rude.
10. ViviAn’s Antiques, etc
Address: 906 Carroll St, Perry, GA 31069 , Perry , Georgia , United States
The most precious little antique store! I got the prettiest chinoiserie vases from there- very unique! The owner was just as helpful and accommodating as anything. Shop local!
11. Bodega Brew
Address: 1025 Ball St, Perry, GA 31069 , Perry , Georgia , United States
I love this place! A local coffee shop blended with local place to grab a beer with friends.
They were awesome
We had our dogs and without even asking the lady brought our pups a bowl of water and on top of that they Doggy ice cream that we got too
Will definitely be back
The frittata was really good. The pumpkin muffin was delicious. The coffee was a little strong
Great place. Beer is a bit pricey but good
Fast, friendly service. Trendy vibe. Good variety of coffees, wines and beers, but the food offerings were confusing-People seemed to have some items we didn’t see on menu…(Maybe breakfast items we were too late for?) Some fresh local products were available. We will return.
Pleasantly surprised amazing atmosphere
For a first time patron I experienced the following.
1. This establishment does not serve coca cola or any other “standard” soda.
2. The pizza was very tasty but sized only for one. Would be nice to know that on the menu.
3. Staff was not personable, polite and somewhat efficient, but not outgoing.
4. Small place not many seats, if they get busy you’ll have a wait.
5. The musical guest was a pretty good guitar player.
Will probably visit again only because the wife likes it.
Never being there before we were not greeted or offered a menu….there was one lunch menu that was near the register and with people waiting behind me I felt rushed. Not very organized. I like the idea but was not impressed and will not be going there again. Also I understand there is a mark up on alcohol in a restaurant, but this was a bit extreme!
Very good coffee and breakfast lunch items. Bring the whole family.
Update: two visits in a row where I was served lukewarm coffee. They didn’t remake it, they just warmed it up. Not going to make it 3x in a row.
McDonald’s seems to have updated their food quality and service.
It has a very nice play place! It was clean and the service was good.
Great friendly service
Stopped by on a trip had hot coffee and good breakfast.
Nice place
Gets order incorrect in drive thru
They’ve lost their edge, what little they had. Coffee’s good, but I won’t cross the street to go to McD..
The food is always undercooked when I order it from here. The McDonalds by Publix has much better workers. Also, the workers show a bit of attitude when working.
Incredibly slow and no fountain drink and silly pattern of entering and exiting
14. Re-NEW Thift Store
Address: 1131 Macon Rd, Perry, GA 31069 , Perry , Georgia , United States
Love shopping at Renew. The volunteers that work there treat you like family and they have awesome finds. The best part is the money goes back to the community. Great place and good people.
The Most Amazing and Awesome place to show and interact with the Volunteers.
Wonderful people that work there. A very neat place.
Leah was very helpful w all of our purchases .
A Great group of Volunteers who love helping others !!!
Very prudish and entitled. Won’t shop there again.
Shows favoritism to people they know. They can literally walk in the store and take merchandise from someone else’s hands because they know the owner and their excuse is “oh they called earlier for it, they were here before you etc” knowing good and well its a lie.
Note to Re-New….all money is green no matter who it’s from. You’ve lost multiple customers this week alone trust me.
Prices are entirely too high.
15. Music Masters
Address: 1806 Russell Pkwy Ste 700, Warner Robins, GA 31088 , Perry , Georgia , United States
Great folks. Reasonable prices. A pretty nice selection too.
Sweet and very helpful staff. Nice variety of instruments and plentiful guitars. I enjoy just going there to talk and relax as well as seeing what’s new.
An absolute pleasure to do business with.
Great deals, great service. It’s always nice to have a local, hometown music store for that personal touch. Lessons are also available. Wish there was a bigger selection there, though–go buy some stuff there so they can afford more space! 🙂
Went in to get some supplies for taking care of a trumpet. They didnt have a huge variety but they did gave neat grab and go packs. They did, however, have a huge selection of guitars, ukuleles and other strings as well as a few brass and woodwinds.
Nice music shop. We are pleased with a kid friendly guitar lessons taught by Mr. Mike.
Update:Feb 2022. Still attending lessons and my child has taken a liking to guitar. His finger placement has gotten better and knowing the proper strings for several chords.
Very rude customer service and nasty attitudes! I wouldn’t recommend anyone to shop here!!!!
Over priced
I had a violin restrung there a few months back. Violins are better maintained by a shop that specializes in violins but I went ahead and took the chance when the folks at Music Masters assured me they could get the job done.
Although the job was done faster than I expected, the quality was very sloppy. First, the strings were not even in tune and the bridge was filed down unevenly. There were also some kind of oil or lotion spots/fingerprints all over the body which indicated poor attention to detail.
After I took it back, they insisted on redoing the work with a new bridge that i had to provide. Second time around, it didn’t look very different from the first job. In the end, I was down $40-something bucks and didn’t even consider taking it back a third time.
Music Masters might be good with other things, but I wouldn’t reccomend sending your violin there for work.
Absolutely, love this spot! Great service, prices, and food! You should definitely swing when you’re craving a delicious burger while in Perry!
Good Americana food and exceptional ice creams, sundaes, and milkshakes made the old style ways!
Great food and great service
I’ve had a chili dog from here before and it was so good(reason why I’m still giving four star) but we went last Thursday and they said they were out of hotdog buns. So I asked to do it with hamburger bun. Cool attempt, it would had been good if the chili was chili. It was just plain ground beef and I did not even like it.
We wanted to like the food. I am sure the sundaes are to die for. We tried it for lunch and we were really let down. Service is great, everyone had a mask and a smile. Ok, downside. No social distancing. It was packed when we got there so others have to had liked it.
You go up to order and the one thing I made very clear was that both orders were to have the fries extra crispy/ well done. I even said that we didn’t like mushy fries. The food arrived and my husbands double cheeseburger was really greasy (some places are like that) and the bun was hard. Not warm hard, cold hard. The fries looked awesome but were very soft sow we left them. My order was the same for the fries. My chili dog was ok, so that was a us.
Last of all, the bathroom…
The servers are all very nice. The shakes probably keep them busy! I wish I could have gived a positive review.
I think this place is super cool. The atmosphere is so nostalgic. I think this is a great place to take the kids or a cute date night to share shakes. The shakes are good but I’ve tried the food a few times ordering different things and wasn’t impressed at all. I’ve experienced some great staff and then other times not so great. Would still recommend coming to get a shake on a nice day.
Food was good; but the sweaty, smoking, street-sign-punching teenagers walking in and out from outside the restaurant, walking freely behind the counter without washing their hands was unsightly and their conversation and language left much to be desired.
Someone who’s spent most of their life in the kitchen expects certain things from different places they eat, in saying that I can almost guarantee other than for ice cream and soda we won’t be eating the menu there again. The food was burnt and tasted worse than a charcoal brick. More than ashamed that my kids had to eat this. The only thing that saved it was the soda and ice cream that my wife and I got. The servers were amazing though. The guy helped and even guided me as to things he liked and the girl executed it perfectly. But the cooks and the food need a huge upgrade. Wished it would’ve been better given the words we’ve heard.
The place is small. A large party of about 14 people caused a huge slow down in delivering orders to tables and togo orders. They should limit group sizes to adequately manage the a good dining experience for all patrons.
