The place to go for violin lessons. Stefan is a great teacher.
Stefan is a gifted teacher. He works so well with my children. He has an amazing talent for motivating my kids. He focuses a lot on techique and is very particular about them playing correctly.
I am thrilled to have him as my childrens teacher and would recommened him to everyone!

Address: 511 F St, Eureka, CA 95501 , Pine Hills , California , United States
The owner was very helpful, honest and friendly. He knew alot about music and instruments and helped me find a recording microphone and cable that would meet my needs. The store was clean, organized and inviting. Its not a big store but seemed to have a really good amount of instruments and equipment. The prices were fair and I was overall very satisfied when I left. I will definitely be going back. (I didn’t buy the guitar in the photo, I took the photo for someone I know who is Niner fan. He had very nice guitars there)
Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Best music store in Eureka.
Super awesome, music shop has the best hours in humbolt , with a very helpful staff
Helpful and informative staff. They enjoy sharing music history and tips.
It’s not Two Street Music but it’s music
It is a private kind of shop, a bit more sedate and serious than 2 St, who. I also do business
3. Mantova’s Two Street Music
Address: 124 2nd St, Eureka, CA 95501 , Pine Hills , California , United States
Staff is very friendly and nice. They know about the products they sell, plus the prices are very fair like what you would pay off Amazon
The staff is friendly and knowledgeable selection is amazing including fender gretch Jackson B. C. Rich Paul Reed Smith Yamaha just to list a few.
Nice selection of Gretch guitars along with normal fenders and such
Good products. Good location. Decent acoustic selection. And I love that they let me play the guitars, amps, & pianos without any argument. {And oh boy that black & white is nice!} However…i just can’t seem to shake the feeling that the employees there are a bit on the snooty side. I WOULD say that, maybe it’s just me. I WOULD. But one day, a few years ago, they actually laughed right in my face when i asked them what a thunderbird was. All I got back was, ‘it’s a car!’ And some group laughter. { I knew it was a guitar, i just didn’t know what it looked like. Or who made it. Or The shape}. But, i digress… If it weren’t for that, I’d buy all my equipment there.
Good music shop. Wide variety of musical instruments and supplies for all levels of experience. They also had some cool off the wall gadgets. Customer service was a definite 5 star rating! They were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I also appreciated the way the employees made it comfortable to pick up and try the instruments. The store hours are great, considering they were one of the few stores open on a Sunday morning. Great shop. It would be my local go to music store if I was local 🙂
Nice collection of medium ranged guitars and a large variety of other instrument!
Good riteal store
I have a very expensive Martin D-42 and binding was loosed in a small area. I took my guitar in a guitar shop in Arcata. But they had referred me to a professional luthier. I went Mantova’s Two Street Music thinking it could be an easy fix. They had glued the binding but damaged the finish and leaving other marks on my guitar. The glue that they used specifically mentioned careful about damaging the finish. They had denied the damage and claimed the condition was pre existed. Be extremely careful dealing with this shop especially if you have high end instruments. Don’t leave your instrument with them. Their integrity is questionable.
NEVER SHOP HERE!!WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!
Anthony sold my autistic son a crap guitar and when it kept breaking they actually told him it was his fault because he didnt know how to play. He has been taking lessons for 3 years and is very good and has 3 orher guitars with no problems. They discouraged my autistic kid from music, the only thing that makes him happy, and should be ashamed of themselves.

What a beautiful store! Enjoyed visiting and received excellent customer service. Thank you!
Very nice little shop. Friendly and helpful staff. Would recommend!
Great selection of used musical gear! Took my tele in for a tune up and they did a great job for a fair price
Really really friendly staff that care very much about their customers. Also there is a wide selection of so many instruments from a guitar to a hammered dulcimer.
Helpful, friendly staff, sold me what I needed without trying to get me to buy a more expensive item. Plus, since I bought four sets of guitar strings, thru gave me my guitar picks for free!
We shall see.
Good things coming. Some pics of insperation.

I’ve been there 4 times since moving here.. just sucks.. over priced and very limited and you cant get any help shopping.they lost mega cash cuz they wouldnt even talk to me.try 2 street in eureka they sold me a few nice guitars at a really great price and…customer service lol..it’s really for college kids not real musicians.
Do not come here for electric instrument repairs. When I brought my bass in, I was simply told that my issue was non-existent. After I came in and demonstrated my instrument’s issue, the repairman instructed me to buy a specific input jack from the manufacturer’s website. Then when I brought the new input jack to the repairman he told me that I bought the wrong kind of jack. He offered to buy the part off me. Afterward, I called the manufacture website and discovered that I had actually bought the right part, and the repairman was incorrect. I brought my bass in again, where he claimed to have fixed the issue. But this was only temporary – my instrument is experiencing the same issue it had several months ago. I am not sure if this repairman is inexperienced or if he just blew me off.
Several friends have told me similar stories about this character from New York. I am disappointed because I’ve heard great things about the other luthier who works through this establishment.
Excellent performer. Had the pleasure of meeting James at a restaurant where he was the featured artist. Wonderful voice, good songs, and a kind person. Hoping to hear the trio again soon!
6. Friends Of Sound Records Eureka
Address: 335 E St, Eureka, CA 95501 , Pine Hills , California , United States
Amazing selection of vintage records, posters, tapes and CDs
Nice store with friendly owner (and dog). First thought it was on the expensive side for jazz records until I noticed another jazz section in the middle which also had great items but at lower prices. So likely there was a different mid-tier and high-tier section.
Best school ever! Brian is the best teacher I’ve ever worked with. He takes his time with his students and has a true passion for music. Both my brother and I were super happy to be his students 🙂
Such a sweet and wonderful person, with a great talent and anointing…He can teach everything! Thank you Felix!
My sister was looking for guitar lessons while going to college near Eureka Ca. I recommended Brian at Eureka Music School as a great guitar teacher who I met in the Bay Area. She loved his guitar classes and now I have to hear her play annoying emo pop songs at our christmas dinners. Her guitar skills are pretty good now and I’m happy that she was happy with Brian.
9. Big Bang Productions
Address: 4293 Tompkins Hill Rd, Loleta, CA 95551 , Pine Hills , California , United States
This is the place to be. So much thought and craftsmanship went into building this epic studio. The producer is an incredible mixer. Great sound and atmosphere. The most groovy and psychedelic studio I’ve ever recorded in. This is the diamond in the redwoods.
Jason at Big Bang Productions really helped us out with a remote record at the last minute. I work for a UK-based audio documentary production company and have done jobs with some fantastic sound engineers – Jason’s work on this piece certainly stands amongst them. Fantastic sound, really friendly and super helpful. Thanks!
10. The Works
Address: 434 2nd St, Eureka, CA 95501 , Pine Hills , California , United States
Great place to shop for music of all kinds. Vintage to current. Hip hop, Metal, Rock n Roll, Soul, Country, etc… Lots to pick from. The owner is very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Prices are reasonable. Love this store. I recommend it to all music lovers or anyone looking for a good selection of vinyl records.
Great service, great atmosphere, super chill, my 14 year old loves going there to look for records
Great records, local events tix.
This used to be such an awesome record store! They carried a nice selection of lesser known, off the wall bands and I could actually have a conversation with the staff about these bands. Since they moved, their selection has down sized dramatically! Plus, their employee on staff was blaring Kiss… Come on! Kiss? Really? I can’t have a serious conversation about music with someone who is surrounded by music and chooses to blare Kiss. I’m bummed out.
Pretty good music shop, they dont have too much of a diverse range of music. (next to no metal albums). If your into jazz, or blues this is your place. If your into Heavy Metal like me, go to People’s Records in arcata
It’s a great shop and I always look forward to going there when I’m in the area. I’ve picked up some great things in there. The only knock I have is the lack of consistent hours.
Despite it was supposed to be open until 6pm on Saturdays, place was closed before 5. So Works did not work anymore. Adjusting opening times would a good idea.
11. FYE
Address: 3300 Broadway St, Eureka, CA 95501 , Pine Hills , California , United States
Great place for finding rare or special edition blue rays and DVDs. Awesome selection of discount movies, convenient location inside Bayshore mall. Helpful staff good deals on used titles and music CDs. They can also make a CD if any artist straight from the internet if not in stock, handy. Good store. I joined the in house discount club tho and have never gotten the magazine and found the price to be more than I ever got in additional rebates.
Awesome entertainment store
Nice place
Its aight
Ok place not enuff anime selection and ended up not getting anything because the prices for new anime are way to high + they didn’t have all the episodes like 5, 6, and 7 for 65$ and 14, 15, 16 it’s like a bad joke. Not a good place for anime. Staff seems chill and they do have a lot of movies, it’s probably a good place for movies but sadly they didn’t have some of the top rated most famous anime moves.
Always find what I’m looking for! Staff is very friendly and helpful
I just stop by to buy a movie The Vision Of Escaflowne for $140 and this guy don’t even bother to check he is like I never heard of it and he ignore me, I literally have to tell him if he didn’t want to help me if he can get someone who could help me, then he decide to help me and so bad customer service from this guy , I bet for employees like this is why people decide to go online
Brought a ’65 Fender Jaguar in for new frets and a bit of work on the electronics. Aleister did some very careful work on this, managing to avoid damaging the very old and brittle neck binding, among other things. Plays better than ever. Painstaking work, reasonably priced. Also a very nice guy.
A Luthier you can trust! His skills exceed expectations when it comes to repair or custom builds. Very knowledge in the field and understands all aspects of Luthiery
Work was completed in a timely fashion and price was very fair. Ovation Elite needed major neckwork/re-fretting. Now it plays better than it did new,
Very happy with the job.
