2. King’s Home Thrift
Address: 4496 Center Point Rd, Pinson, AL 35126 , Pinson , Alabama , United States
This place is very nice, clean, and neat !!! The cashier was sooooooo sweet and kind …. I’m sorry I didn’t get her name , but what a spiritual great person she is.
My favorite thrift store. Good clothes, good value, well displayed with room to walk between the isles
More for women than men.
Just an ok thrift shop.
Good deals
Nice nice employees but too high on what they have have to sale!!
Wonderful great prices
No longer Mission possible but Kings Ranch looks as if they are still setting up and bringing items in store. If you seen one thift store you seen them all
Really good choice of hotdogs. Ice cream is great.
Love this place
Good food, good price and old times feel. Hot dog, chili dogs and more.
Kind and friendly staff, cute decor!
2 scoop on a reg cone $9.00 alittle high.
They serve mainly hot dogs and ice cream. The hot dogs are great and the ice cream is ice cream….lol. They have restored a small town pharmacy and displays many of the items that would have been sold when the pharmacy was open. The people are friendly and the place has a great at!
Was not able to eat there because i do not carry cash around. Atmosphere seemed great.
This place smells of mildew, I got two cones with two scoops each. They were really only one scoop, and it cost me $8.00 for two tiny cones! Never going back there. You may as well throw your money out the window.
7. Guitar Pro’s LLC
Address: 224 Main St, Trussville, AL 35173 , Pinson , Alabama , United States
This is where i go to buy anything music, We have even got our daughter into drum lessons. Every person in the store is nice and more than willing to answer questions and help out how they can.
Real music shop with experienced service.
This guitar store is in the heart of Trussville, the staff is friendly and they know musical gear, just by talking to them, they know the language… this is my second time in here, I bought me an acoustic ( Alveraz) this thing plays like a dream, me and acoustic’s do not get along, especially with my short fat fingers…been trying all the name brands and this guitar is full sounding, great tone and almost like a wizard neck…This guitar will be a great addition to my arsenal of guitars…check this place out if you want great prices, and great atmosphere….wished I knew this store was here before now… thank you
Have a decent variety of all different kinds of cords and instruments and the guitars rule great prices too. And the lady in there is always super sweet
Nice selection of new and used guitars. Needs a jam space though..
Great people and fair prices. Support your local music store!
I will never set foot in this place again. Not that they will care. Thought I would give it another chance after several years. Nothing has changed so now I know for sure.
Accused me of taking out a screw, when all I asked was for the value of what it would cost to fix that. I fixed it myself 16$ out of my own pocket for a new screw, set of strings, and labor on my workbench at home. I thought about going to small claims court, for not selling me a guitar in the condition they claimed on reverb. I’d been looking for this guitar for a while, I didn’t want to just return it. I just wanted it in the condition that I saw it in and felt insulted when they instantly made me out to be at fault even after sending pictures moments after receiving it from UPS and to top it off I even have video of when I first opened it on the CCTV at work. Overall poor online experience.
I bought a guitar for $2,875 from this shop online and they listed it as mint condition. I had to take it to a local luthier to have the frets polished because they were so dirty the guitar was unplayable. The shop refused to even split the cost ($50), wow! Incredible.
8. McDonald’s
Address: 6639 AL-151, Pinson, AL 35126 , Pinson , Alabama , United States
Nice hot breakfast, never lets you down unlike Taco Bell.
The wait is longer than it should be for fast food, but the order was right and the food was good.
Great food great service with smile but needs help on clean up
Cheap. Fast food.
Worst experience ever. 20 minute wait in the drive thru for cold fries and one less cheese burger than I ordered. Will NOT be going back anytime soon.
Very, very LOUD and unprofessional staff, including the Manager. Gets worse with each visit. I try really hard NOT to visit this location.
If I could give it an 0 in stars I would. Let me start . 3 weeks ago .drive thru ,hot home kids meals had no nuggets , ok so I call them . They said I would get them replaced for no charge ,and she said she wrote out name down . . TODAY GO THRU AN ORDER TELL LADY WHAT I WAS TOLD AFTER THE 1ST MISTAKE. 9. So Be It Entertainment
Address: 5 23rd Ave NW, Center Point, AL 35215 , Pinson , Alabama , United States
People are friendly, it’s hard to keep the shelves stocked. But over all it’s a wonderful place to visit.
Great place to shop when you need to cut pennys. But the shelves can be empty and messy.
Very clean store.
Place is not stocked up, at all. The line to check out was very long there was only one person working. There is very few people who ware a mask at thes place. Employees have mask on but are waring them wrong 90% of the time.
The cashier was so incompetent that he shouldn’t be operating a register to begin with. I was buying 3 pk tuna that was $2.75. After they didn’t scan, he asked me to get another one off the shelf. The two I had wouldn’t scan so I knew another one wouldn’t scan either. I took a pic of the shelf label with the tuna to prove the price. Another cashier had to tell him you could type in the bar code when it wouldn’t scan. I almost walked out and left my stuff on the counter. Maybe he needs more training or moved to another position. I despise self check outs but I definitely would use one at this DG!
It was awful! Lack of employee’s, boxes everywhere, and unorganized. Dollar General needs to hire just a stocking crew at night or heck during the day. Thought it would be great to have but I would not dare mention to anyone to shop there.
Hate not being able to walk through the store because of all the stock in the way
Great selection of musical instruments and equipment.
Very understanding and kind folk!
Sign is difficult to see from the road.
If you love music and you need an instrument repair this place is a definite gem.
Vibey little shop. Some cool vintage gear.
It kind of feels like grandpa’s basement here, in a good way. Lots of interesting gear to browse through, plenty of it gently used and ready to be rocked again. There are some Strats hanging here that anyone would love to own, plenty of great options for tube amps, replacement speakers and even an eclectic assortment of used pedals that are worth picking through.
Pricing for everything is slightly higher than online for same items, BUT, you get to support a local business and take it home today. It’s the kind of place I’d stop in to a couple times a year if I lived here. Character.
Twice treated very rudely by staff. I’m over it.
Let’s just say that my kind ain’t welcome
Won’t ever visit again! No greetings, no nothing. I was in the store about ten minutes and no one ever acknowledge it. I was referred to this place by the guy in Homewood music shop but he could’ve saved the breath he use cause nothing was worth driving to this store for!!
15. Art’s Music Shop, Inc
Address: 4647 US-280, Birmingham, AL 35242 , Pinson , Alabama , United States
Very knowledgeable and helpful. They had strings for a 1/8 violin we had been looking all over town for. Definitely the place to go in town if u need items for string instruments other than guitars.
Great staff
Good. place to shop for all your. music. needs.
Wonderful customer service
Very helpful but the instruments are pretty expensive
They have good instruments, but when I walked in, I walked straight past about 3 or 4 employees who were unoccupied at the moment and nobody said a word to me. I will never visit or buy from them ever in my life.
You should think about buying an instrument from another source, this place is a money pit, will find ways to charge you more than you should have to pay. They have in-house repair but will charge alot for any normal wear and tear, when you turn in a rental instrument after just 4 months rental. Ended up spending around $500. Should have bought an instrument elsewhere and would have owned it for that amount. Wish I had listened to my intuition. Lesson learned.
No words!
16. Dream Beatz Records
Address: 432 16th Ave NW, Birmingham, AL 35215 , Pinson , Alabama , United States
Great place for electric & acoustic guitars with huge selection of amps also.Kevin is a wizard with guitars.Shop here before buying
Excellent customer service. I worked with Gibson over six months in trying to find a warranty replacement, and within a week of Gibson enlisting Bailey Brothers to help they had my issue resolved. Bailey Brothers had a great selection of awesome guitars and were very helpful in picking out the right one. I will definitely take a look here the next time I’m ready for a new Gibson.
I bought a brand new 50’s Les Paul Goldtop from Guitar Center and it came with a free set up so I went ahead and replaced the nut. The guitar wouldn’t stay in tune. I took it to a different guitar store around my town and they worked on the nut but still wouldn’t stay in tune. I changed to locking tuners and put a fender string tree on the d and g string to straighten the angle but still nothing. I did some research and came to the conclusion my nut was too high. I took it to Joseph at Bailey Brothers and he filed and shaped the nut and now my tuning problems are a thing of the past! This was my first Gibson and I was honestly ready to give up on them because of tuning problems. Now my Goldtop is solid as a rock! Thx again Joseph and Bailey Brothers team!
I needed to buy instruments for my Middle School kids. They were very upfront with their prices and seemed to have the best deals.
Great customer service. Great selection. However, I was NOT thrilled to see their logo custom printed onto the snare head I bought. Would have received 5 stars if not for that. Going to remove it with some acetone.
This place is awesome, need customer service? DONE! Need a repair? DONE! Need to place an order? DONE! The only thing I did not like was the lack of extended range instruments. You will not be finding fanned fret, 28 fret, tap guitar, etc. You want those go to WARR guitars or order them off of a musicians website.
I explained to them thoroughly what I needed and they sold me the opposite! It all about sells and f**k the customers needs! Stay away from the southside location!
Dishonest, and disrespectful. While I’m aware they have an “all sales final” on used gear policy, it is their responsibility to properly inspect the gear they take in and not sell something that is damaged internally (in my case, a guitar amp). Idiot salesman also had a smug grin on his face the whole time my brother and I were having to deal with it (all 5-6 hours) and was making snooty comments back and forth. In a nut shell they sold me a dead amp and then laughed in my face about it. If this is how your business treats customers, don’t expect to be a business for long. I attempted a purchase with Bailey Brothers about 8 years ago. Was not a pleasant experience. This one wasn’t either. Rest assured, that’s it. I will not be back.
Update: Hey the owner called me just to prove they really do not care about customers. Tried to minimize what happened, and basically acted exactly like Keith did. Also a robotic “I apologize but we’re not going to do anything to fix it” does not count as rectifying anything. Gee wonder why the Southside store closed! Oh yeah and if you have a bad experience with them and they don’t own up to it they’ll do like any typical teenager does and tries to badmouth you on Facebook, then stalk your page. Very mature. Screenshots are great though aren’t they?
PS: Oh and buddy, if I were mad and desperate to pay my rent, then why in the heck did I buy a $700 amp from you? Nice try.
I came in here the other day and they were incredibly overbearing and checked in on me every 30 seconds. From the second I walked in they were all up in my face and insisted on providing an address and phone number whenever I paid which I fully expect to be sold somewhere. I don’t know if they’re struggling to keep the lights on or something but the amount of customer service was way too much and came across as pushy and rude. Literally just let me shop.
19. Homewood Musical Instrument Co
Address: 1712 28th Ave S, Homewood, AL 35209 , Pinson , Alabama , United States
Best folks around for any instrument maintenance you need!
The best music store in town – bar none. It is always such a pleasure to go in and talk to Bob and company. These guys are pros make no mistake about it. If you want something done properly or just an honest opinion this is where you need to go. They are the BEST at setting up your instrument! Also every instrument they sell has been professionally setup to play the best it can. NO other store does this or has the attention to detail these guys do. If you need lessons Scott is a fantastic guitar teacher and they have violin, ukulele and other instrument instruction. We are lucky to have a resource like this in Birmingham!
Friendly atmosphere and lots of instruments.
Good product, Good service.
I’ve never dealt with someone so rude over the phone. The owner tried to guilt me with sarcasm and acted like victim when I questioned a price. Full story: I asked to order a cello string. All was going well (owner answered questions about speed of shipping and availability of the string), but then he quoted a price ($81) that was far above what other shops charge. I said respectfully that “I’ve purchased the string for $45 at other walk-in shops” and he became sarcastic and argumentative with me, claiming he was “holding my hand” through the process, and said “Well, I have to pay $35 for this string so what do YOU think is fair for ME to make? $15? What is 35 + 15, huh? Ohhh, maybe $50 is more than you can afford?” A simple, “well this is my price” would have been fine as a response from him, but I felt disrespected so I hung up and decided I’m never going to spend a dime Homewood Musical Instrument Co. I advise everyone else to steer clear of this shop and the guy who owns it.
20. Gadsden Music Company – Birmingham
Address: 4524 Southlake Pkwy, Birmingham, AL 35244 , Pinson , Alabama , United States
We had to buy an instrument for our child for the first time. Jason was patient and informative. He answered all of our questions and put us at ease through the whole process. He helped us get what we needed without trying to sell us stuff we did not need right now. We were so happy with our experience.
Always awesome! Love y’all!
Had the clairanet thumb guard pillow we were looking for
Mm masomenos
I was easily able to drop off my trumpet for repair.
No Gibson guitars.
Had what I needed but staff was very unhelpful I asked for help and it was not given to me so I had to struggle to find what I needed
I would give this Gadsden music store no stars if it was allowed. The store representative, Jason Duren, had a bad attitude and was not helpful. He did not want to hand me my receipt and when I said something about it he told me I had an attitude. Jason must have a problem with women or it maybe people of color in general. Don’t waste your time here!! Fine a real music store who welcomes paying customers.
The rent to own program is an absolute scam. Staff is rude and misogynistic. Buy used on Facebook before you agree to whatever shady deal your school band director serves you from Gadsden Music. The “resale” on that 1400$ trombone is $200 and you’ll pay $600 in interest. Scam scam scam.
