The Garage Rock Academy is a must for anyone wanting to play music in a band. Through Garage Rock Academy, my son has taken that step from playing and practicing his bass in our home, to performing in a group all over the valley. This has been the best experience learning how to work in a group and get real onstage experience. The amount of growth, both individually & as a group, has been so fun to watch each time they go on stage. I definitely recommend Garage Rock Academy to anyone serious about music and wanting to have fun getting on stage and performing what they have learned.
Eric is a great teacher! My son has enjoyed the intro to drums and wants to continue.
Amazing place!!! Great for all ages and fast results. Thanks
3. Musicians Made
Address: 18530 E San Tan Blvd Suite 101, Queen Creek, AZ 85142 , Queen Creek , Arizona , United States
Musicians Made has been a great place for my daughter to learn drums and guitar! She loves it and looks forward to each weeks lessons!
I have never been a part of a more supportive and encouraging musical community than here at Musicians Made. Highly recommend!”
Great school, great teachers. Love the Music Party giving all the wonderful students an opportunity to perform.
Our daughter has been taking piano lessons 9 years. Unfortunately, her last teacher moved away.
We enrolled our daughter in this “school” which is basically an outsourcing group (middleman) who is overpriced (twice as much as most teachers), impersonal and provide ok service for the pricing. When I called and spoke to the lady taking calls, she was hurried as I asked questions about their methods and approach in teaching. That should have been my first sign. We ended up taking about 2 lessons and decided to go with someone more personal and interested in the student development and training rather than bottom-line people-as-numbers approach.
4. Blackbird Music and Art Center
Address: 23706 S Power Rd #106, Queen Creek, AZ 85142 , Queen Creek , Arizona , United States
This music store, and school is awsome. The people are kind, knowledgeable, and very helpful.
We have been renting our son’s instrument from Blackbird and it’s been a great experience. His first trumpet developed a significant issue with the valves sticking and they replaced his instruments no questions asked. The employees are polite and knowledgeable, and work well with kids. We are very happy with Blackbird and plan on having or daughter start violin lessons with them soon! 🙂
If you are looking for an instrument lesson, this place is amazing! My son is really enjoying his guitar lessons. They have instrument rentals there too. We are so happy to have found Blackbird!
Love these guys. Been there off and on for years, always a great experience.
Great teacher, very patient with his students.
It’s a shame! We rented my daughter’s violin for four years with this company…when we finally bought her violin, they said she couldn’t keep the same one she’s had for years, and she’s familiar with .So ok fine, they ordered another one. When we finally got it, it was incomplete. It did not have fine tuners. I asked them to provide us with the fine tuners so my daughter could play it. Austin at the counter said I had to buy those separately. I said ” you’re selling me an incompkein item” and he said ” unfortunately that’s the way they come” I asked to speak to the owner. Austin said the only way to reach the manager is via email. I said “no please give me his phone number”, and he refused saying he did not have a direct phone number to the owner…shaddy people!
Poor customer service, been going to them for 6 years – 1 bad experience from your counter rep and now we are done! Miss communication and can’t speak to Rob, who is the owner because the guy at the counter handles it sorry you did not handle it and it’s a shame!
5. CBJ Guitar Academy (Queen Creek Guitar Lessons)
Address: 19631 E Reins Rd, Queen Creek, AZ 85142 , Queen Creek , Arizona , United States
Don’t hesitate for one second! Sign up!
My 9-year-old son wanted an acoustic guitar so bad, so we got him one last Christmas. Then in January we started the search for an experienced Guitar Teacher who can nurture and inspire our sons love of music (oh and they have to be close to our home in Queen Creek ;-). Chris Jacome is exactly what my son needed. Chris is a highly accomplished Flamenco Guitar Performer who is able to expertly teach guitar skills to anyone willing to learn! My son had never picked up a guitar, and after 10 months of lessons he has worked through his shyness and loves performing for our family! He sounds amazing, we are so proud of him! We are grateful that Chris provides my son a high-level musical learning experience along with a warm, happy (& meticulously clean) space to mature and progress. Looking forward to another year of lessons!
Gosh I don’t know where to start. I feel so fortunate to have found Chris to be my instructor. I have been with him for nearly a year now. I was a life long guitar strummer with a goal of gaining some knowledge of music theory and also becoming a better player.
Chris never fails to answer my questions with easy to understand explanations. His knowledge of music is vast and his recall of all subjects is so quick. He is very current with his art and truly has a deep passion for the language of music.
After every lesson Chris offers a short video opportunity to take home a video recap of the day and within 24 hours I always receive an email with a very professional lesson review explaining everything I learned that day. After my lesson I always feel I’ve had a learning experience.
Chris is highly recommended.
Chris is an incredibly talented guitarist and, most importantly, he’s a fantastic teacher. I had thought about learning to play the guitar for many years, but always put it off. Thank goodness I found Chris once I decided to take the plunge. I feel that I’ve progressed by leaps and bounds since beginning my lessons and I continue to grow more confident after each and every lesson. The best thing is I’m really enjoying it and now can’t imagine not picking up a guitar every day. Chris has been a blessing!
6. Music Experience
Address: 21124 E Camina Plata, Queen Creek, AZ 85142 , Queen Creek , Arizona , United States
I have had multiple good experiences with Alan’s Music Store. They have helped me with the electronics in my husband’s bass, supplied and installed a knob for my mandolin strap, adjusted the setup on a baby Taylor and has been the source for many a quick purchase there. The prices are great and the service I have received has been excellent each time I have made a trip there!
Fabulous service every time!
I have a daughter who plays the viola and another who plays the cello. Alan’s had been nothing but wonderful us. They replace strings, bridges, tuned instruments and answered questions for us and only ever charge for the parts. We bought our daughters cello from them and its a beautiful instrument. As long as I live in this area they have my business.
Helpful staff and friendly service. Picked up some guitar strings yesterday…
I only put one star so I could provide everyone with the following information, called and setup a lesson for 230 in the afternoon and after waiting half an hour the owner even after I asked him to call the instructor just sat in his chair and was too busy visiting with a friend..I miss his daughter who started this shop she was amazing and I used to send lots of business her way, this was so unprofessional its clear he must make enough money that he can treat customers like he is doing us a favor..ill never go back.
Do not trust their repair department! I wish I could give them no stars because that’s how rudely I was treated in the store. I dropped my daughter’s flute off to get into “playing condition” and have the corks replaced. I was told it would take no more than 1 week. Three weeks later (after having to pay for another month of rental) our flute was returned without the corks. Nothing was done to the flute but I was still charged $65. They said I could send it back again to get the corks but I didn’t want it going back when who knows when we would get it back out. When I talked to the owner about how dissatisfied I was, he yelled at me and said “I only have satisfied customers so maybe you’re the problem.” He also said I shouldn’t have been charged for the second month rental, but refused to refund it.
Place closed down while in possession of 2 of my daughters professional instruments. Now I am going to have to search all over the valley to hope I can find them somewhere. They left no information, no FB page, website hasn’t been updated, phone doesn’t have a message, nothing.
8. Queen Creek Music
Address: 18550 S Rittenhouse Rd #100, Queen Creek, AZ 85142 , Queen Creek , Arizona , United States
Great store. I’ve taken two of my guitars to be set up. Both have come out great. The employees are very friendly and respectful. They go the extra mile to accommodate.
I came in for some questions on a ukulele capo and for some minor purchases. Great service!
Just got back from a 5 minute trip from here. The lady at the desk was super helpful and informative. Will come back if needed!!
I took a trumpet in to have a stuck mouthpiece pulled out. They couldn’t do it in store and told me I would have to leave it for repair. Someone else I know had gotten the same repair done in-store for free at another music store so I was hesitant to leave the instrument. I also didn’t want to pay a lot for a 30 second repair so I repeatedly asked that I be called and given an estimate before any repairs were done. The clerk told me that someone would call and that it would be a rush order (as my daughter needed it for school). Days later and I had not heard a thing from the store about the repair…my daughter needed her trumpet and so I decided to go to the store and pick it up so that I could take it someplace else for repair. When I got to the store, I told the clerk that I wanted to pick up the trumpet. She told me that it wasn’t in the store because I had dropped it off on Saturday and they are closed Sunday. I corrected her–I had dropped it off on Friday at 2:30pm…and no one had called to tell me how much it would cost. The clerk says, “oh, it’s $10” and then without another word she walks out of the store to her car. ?? I am standing alone in the store wondering what is going on and then she walks back in with my daughter’s trumpet (with the fix done) in hand…the trumpet she claimed was NOT there. I told her I wasn’t going to pay $10 for a fix that other stores were doing for free and that I had asked 3 times for someone to call me BEFORE doing any repairs. At this point the woman hands the trumpet to me and says (in a very rude and dismissive tone) “fine, goodbye.”
The communication was TERRIBLE! And the customer service was even worse! I am shocked at the total lack of professionalism at this store. I probably even would have paid the $10 for the work if they had bothered to communicate with me clearly and treat me with a little respect. I will never set foot in this store again and I had such a bad experience that I feel the need to warn anyone else who may be tempted to go to Queen Creek Music–DON’T DO IT! If you need a referral for instrument repair I will say Alain’s Music in Queen Creek is worth the extra 5-10 minute drive!
I purchased an acoustic guitar for my husbands birthday, it turns out he wanted an electric so we went back to return the guitar and the young man told me their are no returns, only store credit. It’s terrible because their is nothing at the store we would want for the price i purchased the guitar for. That is a policy that needs to be well displayed, will not purchase anything else at the store.
