Awesome little local music store with instruments for you or your kiddo! You can buy, rent, or rent to own.
They also have lots of sheet music, including all the books, reeds, ligatures, rosins, oils, cleaning kits and everything else you need to survive having a kid in band or orchestra.
They do repairs, and have guitar lessons on site!
Friendly owner and great service and pricing

Brand new store yet very well stocked with a wide variety of instruments and decent accessories with more to come im sure.
The Staff was very helpful and seem to sincerely want to meet our needs and patiently answered all our questions.
The prices are reasonable with some exceptional savings on certain items, and a pleasant surprise they give Military discounts to Veterans and Active Members, Well done greatly appreciated !
And lastly, thus far all my purchases (bass, amp, cables, guitar stand, guitar strap, music stand and 2 instructional books etc.) have been of very good quality, the Ibanez bass is a stunning blood mahogany red with a beautiful gloss finish and crisp pick ups and sweet timbre.
Overall a great place for musicians to feed their musical interests.

7 channel mixer with Bluetooth. A lot of bang for the buck and lots of bells and whistles, nice pre-amp.
ZOOM B1Xfour.
Multi-Effects Prcoessor with expression pedal (for bass). Very user-friendly interface and good basic effects to begin with and you can program many more. Built-in Tuner which is very cool and easy to use and Built-in drum machine that has a nice punch and decent kick to it.
I love this place. They are open-minded, kind, friendly, and helpful. The staff is amazing! Christian is the best!
These guys are Awesome , Great People, Great Service!!!!
Read all of Guitar Center reviews, then go into the store. You’ll soon see all the negative reviews are true.
Horrible place. I’ll stick with the local music stores.
3. Hart Music
Address: 417 Main St, Grand Junction, CO 81501 , Redlands , Colorado , United States
Very helpful and friendly staff. Very accommodating with absolutely no sales pressure. Great selection of instruments and gear. I have just purchased an amp, at a great price I might add. I have recommended to friends and will continue to do business with in the future.
Wow great staff, beautiful. Love the new instruments. Friendly staff, they allow you to play the instrument while being monitored to make sure it’s working correctly for you like I’ve never seen a place like this that’s just amazing.
Great place and good selection of amps and elcetric guitars as well as other music needs. Overall friendly and knowledgeable
My brother and I have been buying guitars and other equipment from the Hart family for 36 years and they have always had fair pricing and provided quality in equipment. Jan is always there with a willingness to please. Very pleased.
Not impressed! My first experience with this shop, I brought an old acoustic in for some setup work after I switched to lighter strings. I did a neck adjustment but still had e string buzzing and a b string ring. I needed a new nut, and & bridge adjustment, fret leveling too which I explained, but Jan absolutely is clueless I guess all he heard was “string change”. I have a bunch of guitars I can do basic work on them and I’ve been changing my own strings for 30 years! but Jan promised me a pro would look at it and contact me to discuss the repairs. They shined me for a week, never tried to contact me as I promised, then all they did was change my strings (and they even put the wrong ones on!). Now all the strings buzz! So I’m right back where I started. I’m local too & gave them every chance, they failed miserably.
Was sold a keyboard being told by the salesman it had a USB port to hook it up to the computer, write music with it and that it had touch sensitive keys. Wrapped it up as a gift for the daughter. When she opened it, we were telling her how she could hook it up to her computer and she was really excited. Then she started playing it, no touch sensitive keys or USB port. The very reason we bought it. So disappointing. We took it back, were told so sorry, our mistake. You can buy this one for 50.00 more that has everything you want and when you want to trade that one in, we’ll give you a great deal on it. We paid 172.00 for the keyboard at Harts music….I found it on Amazon, same keyboard for 99.00. Wish I would have checked Amazon first. Will not be going back to Harts Music totally took advantage of our ignorance in keyboards.
Bought a bass before I had a cell phone.
Was marked $1200, scratched out, marked $800, scratched out marked $600. Nice bass, thought it was a good deal. Missing hard case so got a soft case instead.
Found out later the retail price is $400.
Deceptive pricing.

The gentlemanw spoketo is very friendly and very helpful. He was able to answer all my questions, since I do not know much about trumpets, and get me set up to rent a trumpet for my daughter. She is very pleased with it. Thank you so much Roper Music!
Great place! Super helpful!
This is our go-to music store. We have rented 1 violin, purchased 2, unknown number of violin bows and the random repair here and there. Of course, music & lesson books as well. Always helpful & friendly and offers advice & suggestions that have been key to our decisions.
Great service great prices
The staff here are consistently helpful and friendly, going out of their way to help us find what we need. Their rent-to-buy program is affordable and sensible, and they have different standards or instruments for rent, at appropriate prices. We are devoted customers.
Nice little music store
Wanted to rent for a couple months before I purchased an instrument but was told that service only available to students.
Really expensive and very rude customer service.. they know they are the only music shop and they take advantage of all of us band parents… if you look on line you can find anything cheaper than them
I went to get an instrument appraised and the owner could not give me the time of day to even look at it. He opened the case for 2 seconds and closed it with out even looking at the condition of the instrument (which is excellent). Offered me a low ball for what it is worth. Very rude and poor service.

I would highly recommend seeing Sherry Lee if you are in the market for a flute, piccolo, alto flute, or bass. She has lots to choose from and great expertise.
Also if you need flute repair, they know what they are doing.
I came across Sherry’s ad while reading a need article. Her as was straight to the point. “Better flutes”. I used to play the violin and know the difficulty in finding a quality instrument and great service and while I wasn’t looking for a flute, as a female small business owner I was inspired by her. So, I took it upon myself to look into her some more. What I found was a lot of flute “message boards” talking about how they were disappointed in service elsewhere but were going to try Sherry!
I know not everyone has time to write reviews but I’m here to say that everything I’ve read about Sherry is amazing and her webpage speaks for itself! Definitely check her out!
Ok

My son takes lessons from Ms. Raven. She is wonderful. If you are looking to find a teacher who cares for her students deeply, fosters their love of music and individuality than chase her down!
My girls took lessons for nearly 2 years. She is great with children and flexible to the their learning needs and styles. She is fun and upbeat and pushes kids where they need it to achieve their potential.
8. Grand Junction Piano Lessons
Address: Redlands, Grand Junction, CO 81507 , Redlands , Colorado , United States
I am a college student and started from zero knowledge. Raven is an excellent teacher who has patience and the skills to move you forward in playing the piano. Without her structure and guidance I wouldn’t be close to the level I am currently.
Raven has a true passion for music and it shows when she teaches! Kiddos love her and she is wonderful at adjusting to the changing attention spans of all ages. Highly recommend!
Been shopping here for a long time my favorite store in GJ .Great service and great selection, Rock, Matt, Ryan and gang seem like family, if you are into music it is a must
My favorite hippie store!
Amazing, friendly, locally owned business! Triple Play has the best disc golf selection around, and the staff is always knowledgeable and willing to help with all music and disc golf needs!
Very nice place to visit friendly people
Awesome local music store
My father-in-law loved this place. He had a good time strolling down memory lane looking through all the records and smelling the incense. The incense was a little strong for my taste but it was fun to see my father in-law look through everything.
The review below that the owner says is fictional may have some truth to it after my experience. The son of the owner of this store assaulted me. I have 10 witnesses right now that saw the whole thing and I never touched the guy. They are reporting any reviews I leave. However my reviews are not inappropriate or fake. Both the son and father have a real anger problem. It is unacceptable to follow someone outside and assault someone for speaking words and not even with a tone, attitude, or raised voice. Additionally, if the person has not cursed at you, called you names, put you down, or threatened you and you assault them you have serious issues. You wonder if my review is real or fake? I bet if someone makes them angry in the slightest they will find out (however I am not encouraging this). The son thinks he is real tough, but he is clearly not. He told me the cops were coming with a egotistical smile before hitting me with a sign. They wanted to call the cops but knew I did nothing wrong. When the son hit me with the sign, the father’s attitude changed a little to knowing he was wrong but saying I was exaggerating. I am surprised life has not tought these weirdos a lesson.
Ive been in and love records, tapestries and frisbee golf. I dont mind paying. But when i was in Oklahoma new mexico and even colorado. Places that sold frisbee golf disc allowed you to turn them in would give no more that two calls to the owner to return for no fee. Triple play makes money off everyone else trying to be good sports and return things. So the person who finds the disc if they dont or can’t call turns it into Triple play they dont give any money to who turned it in. Even if that person did try the owner. Now Triple play has it. So to get your own disc back you have to pay. The person who called you wanted to return it. Didnt ask for money said or willingly drove it down there so people could get it then the business takes advantage of that and makes money. I bet if you lost your wallet in the store and someone turned it in they would ask for money so you could have your wallet back. Same concept and all.
Very rude, like they were doing us a favor by taking our money. Rude to my special needs kid.

Art and Erica are fantastic musicians and performers. They are very professional and their studio is so cozy and welcoming, hospitality A+. I love working with these two so much, can’t say kind enough words. Highly recommend, they are very talented people. I will definitely be back for all of my future events! Amazing experience.
Highly talented and passionate musicians/producers/engineers. Art is a beast at mixing/mastering, taught me key techniques I will now use every-time to prepare my final mix before mastering. Erica and Art are talented individuals and are capable of turning your ideas into finished songs. They also offer lessons for beginners and advanced situations. Artica Productions is a professional one stop media production studio for your next single, EP, or album project. I look forward woking with these guys again highly recommend.
Aaron is the best tech I’ve had the pleasure of working with. Before I went to the studio in California, I brought him all 9 of my guitars and he got them all perfectly set up in a timely manner! My guitars mean a lot to me and I appreciate his attention to detail when it comes to the set-ups. I appreciate the fact that he has all of my preferred measurements for each guitar written down on paper so that my guitars will be perfect every time! He’s a very nice trustworthy guy and I trust him with all my guitar gear!
Aaron has the depth and expertise to delve as deep into guitar that you could possibly want to go. He’s patient and supportive and fun to learn from. A+
I recently got into playing the guitar in the last few years so I don’t have an extensive knowledge about how guitars work, and whenever I went to a large company to help me with technical issues I felt I was undermined whenever I asked about how something worked or brought an issue that I didn’t understand. With Arron on the other hand, when I brought him my acoustic when it was not playing correctly he did an extensive check up on it and found things wrong with it that I had never even considered. He told me what was wrong and even took the time to explain how he fixed it and gave me pointers for guitar care without sounding condescending at all! I have never met a guy so humble in his work and willing to show how things are done to those who are interested in learning more about the guitar tech world. He also does work for a reasonable price compared to other companies which is nice for broke college students like myself. I would recommend him over any other repair service on the Western slope!

Great service, wide variety, and over all great store for all music lovers
The best customer service!! I’m so grateful for this place. I stopped in on my way out of town, in desperation, to have my little Merlin’s busted string replaced and (hopefully) acquire some knowledge about tuning and stringing – the basics. I bought my instrument without any knowledge, just looking for a new creative outlet and hobby. I was well taken care of here! I received a new string, installed properly, and an in-depth lesson on how-to replace a string and tune. I left feeling confident that I can handle the 101 process like a pro. THANK YOU SO MUCH! I’ll definitely be back. Looking forward to my next experience in Rhema.
We love this store and the owners! Shop local here with confidence. They care about their community and do so much to give back!
Waited for almost an hour outside the shop no one was there He kept saying it’s gonna take longer There was a note on the front door saying if you need service call this number So I did and I had to wait even longer he had no secondary employee holding down the shop while he was gone on errand’s
