Very unique, one of a kind, vintage and rare Guitar experience. Expert knowledge and Greatn atmosphere. A must go when in Ft Lauderdale Florida.
Great owner.
Great instruments. Knowledgeable owner.
Very rude, I called to ask a question and for whatever reason they don’t want to be helpful whatsoever. Don’t support this business
I Ordered a $2000 Bass Guitar From This Place.
It Arrived, I Plugged It Up, and NOTHING. No Signal. I Checked The Batteries, They We’re so Old, They We’re Swollen Out of Shape. I Replaced The Batteries, Got a Signal.
I Tried to Adjust The Sound, and Each Control Was Scratchy and Full of Static. I Sent It Back, at My Own Expense, and They Refused to Refund My Initial Shipping Cost.
Very Unprofessional, Rude and Inconsiderate.
I Will Never Spend Another Dime There.
– Go Shop Somewhere Else.

I have been taking guitar lessons at TR Music and Voice Lessons for a few months now, and I am amazed at how much progress I’ve made. My instructor, Josh, is patient and knowledgeable. He tailors the lessons to fit my learning style and always encourages me to challenge myself. Highly recommend!
The instructor is very patient I like that!!
We are currently having a great experience. We definitely found here the best and talented teachers in the wide area and a skilled workflow system.

Friendly, helpful staff. Roger and the service guys rock!!
Well stocked. Knowledgeable staff.
Conveniently located for Ft. Lauderdale based musicians.
Great pricing, inventory and service!
Good inventory, good prices.
Very courteous staff present
Beautiful place and quality is decent but the prices are over the realistic cost of the merchandise
Very friendly & outgoing staff. Enjoyed doing business there.
Terrible customer service especially if you have an issue. Prices are garbage and they will take advantage of you if they think you don’t know any better. Mae gives small businesses a bad name
I have visited this place over the years because it’s close to my house. I really wish I liked this place because I rather support small business than a giant like Guitar Center…but I can’t. The main problem is the return policy: it is terrible. Once I open an item I can’t return or exchange. There were many items were the damage was not my fault but the manufacturers, but the item still was not accepted. Their prices are too high as well, but sometimes they do have price matching going on.
I think the only good thing about this store is the selection of music books available. I can easily see the book’s condition without having to risk spending non-refundable money on an item.

I have been going to Insane Sounds since 2004 and Marc is one of the best in the business! He really is on top of everything that is current and is a great producer! Highly recommend Insane Sounds!
Easy to work with, well equipped and prepared. Love the comfortable yet professional vibe, exquisite. 5 star service

Where can I start! When I met Mark, I was going through a lot and not just with the recording ,but he was more like a friend. He helped me through some difficult times. I love his work ,the music was awesome and people loved it . I’m just grateful that I met him when I did. Thank God for all you do .Keep up the awesome work and God-bless .
What an unique place right here on the east side of Broward! Already purchased twice from them, and repaired two or three of my old guitars.
Stacey and Armando always greeting you with a smile. We take lessons from Joe who has an incredible talent to teach… Check them out!
Quality instruments at all price points, the staff are great, awesome place for lessons with great teachers for any instrument. And they host great concerts!
Just got my Eastman Mandolin today.. love it.. its the 4th instrument I’ve purchased from Armondo… always satisfied with customer service and quality of the instruments.. I’ve purchased a Banjo… 2 Ukes.. and now a Mandolin… Highly recomend Pennylane!!
I love to visit the Penny Lane Emporium! The ambience of the store when I walk in gives me just that warm fuzzy feeling of a cozy down home “pickin’ parlor”! The wide selection of quality musical instruments and accessories, combined with a dedicated and knowledgeable teaching staff makes it a great “one stop music shop” for pro and beginner alike. I especially enjoy the monthly (first Thursday) bluegrass jam sessions where fellow musicians can gather to play and exchange musical ideas in a fun and relaxed setting. Regardless of your musical skill level, you can have a wonderful time pickin’ and singin’ at The Penny Lane Emporium!
Owner seems like an honest guy but do NOT use for repairs of Digital Pianos. I was charged 95 dollars for a repair and as you can see in the photos the the key of A is clearly not aligned so it still does not play properly. They sent the piano out to be fixed and the repair guy wanted an ADDITIONAL 30 dollars for a part to fix it. Total cost would be 125.00 to make the repair. Charging 95 dollars and giving me back a piano that still does not work is unacceptable. This is NOT the place to take your digital piano for repairs. I can not speak for any other aspect of the store other than the Owner does seem like genuine guy.
*****Addition*** To respond to the owners reply I now have to take back my assessment of him as honest because I was certainly never told you would fix it at no charge other than the part or I would have agreed, You should have just let the review stand and not thrown in a lie to try and make yourself look better. If you’re willing to lie once you will certainly do it again. I recommend EVERYONE take their business elsewhere.
I went to this store last month to buy a new bow for my violin. Because the one that was in the case was very damaged. So when I get to the store they tell me that their bows are out of stock and to come back within a month while they order so more bows. So I came back in a months time, and bought a carbon fiber bow which was very expensive compared to the traditional violin bows. So when I made the purchase the store clerk takes the bow out of the plastic bag it came in and he put it in the case. I got home and opened the case to get the bow out and it had broken. I was so angry and very dissatisfied with the very Cheap quality of the pretty expensive item. I would just be very cautious when dealing with this company!
This store appeared to have a nice variety & I was greeted w/a smile. I’m a 68 old professional, drove from Lake Okeechobee to visit this HARD-TO-FIND STORE. My FICO is quite high, Platinum AMEX & 3K cash in my pocket for an above average tenor though they can cost 10K+. I went to examine a Uke & the owner freaked out! “NO, NEVER TOUCH, I’ll tune it & give it to you”; nice sales approach! Never again, will I ever walk into Penny Lane. I found his attitude & demeanor insulting, offensive & condescending; however, this is just 1 man’s opinion.

Absolutely amazing, tons of instruments from different countries and some are custom made!! Truly an awesome store to check, especially for fixing any instruments!
I really enjoyed dealing with this company. Friendly, knowledgeable and great to work with. Thank you !
Brought in a Fender Stratacoustic I bought from Reverb that was questionable at best. Next day it was ready and plays like a dream!!
AWESOME….HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!
Unique place worth visiting. Lots of guitar from second hand
Do not go here. The owner doesn’t know how to fix guitars.
DO NOT recommend! Guitar was shipped with no protection in two boxes that had been cut to fit and taped together, only one small piece of styrofoam in the bottom. The guitar arrived broken and is unable to be repaired. Request for a return and refund refused.
I am dumbfounded anyone can be giving this place more than one star. Complete hack. Brought a guitar in for a routine procedure, was most sloppy, amaturish job I could ever imagine. If you value your instrument at all, avoid this place at all costs. This is not a place for serious musicians or collectors. Is a tourist hole at very best. Beware.
Solid Experience. Honest brokers at Nick’s Showroom.
I have 40+ year experience as a piano technician in Brevard and Orange County. One of my clients purchased their piano form Nick many years ago. Nick just hired me to make sure his customer was taken care of properly. To me, that says a lot about a company.
There are few people that know more about pianos than Nick. If you are in the market for a piano in live in Fort Lauderdale or the surrounding area, do yourself a favor and check his showroom out. He has a tremendous selection and amazing prices!

Mitchell tuned my antique piano. He was communicative, professional, and prompt.
I started taking lessons with Mitch at the same time that my 7 year old son did and we both are enjoying it so much. Mitch has the patience and charisma needed to keep my 7 year old’s attention while at the same time has been a cool teacher for me. In a short amount of time I have grown tremendously and my 7 year old is loving learning guitar. My 11 year old is now interested as well so we have the makings of a garage band :). I strongly recommend Mitch!
Mitchell is great with my 6 year old son who was set on learning the guitar rather than anything else. He has taught him to love classic songs like the Beatles. Lessons with A+ Music Instruction are convenient and fun!
