These guys are amazing! They showed up for my wedding not even knowing if they were going to get paid by the person I hired who contracted out to them and still made my wedding an amazing experience! We appreciate them so much!
The passion and care they have for their clients shows in all they do from simple promotion to their exceptional video creation
I met Modert at a conference and have been extremely impressed with his passion and drive when it comes to making the best sound and experience for his customers. You will not regret going with The Old Mississippi Sound House team!

3. Alton Music Exchange
Address: 556 E Broadway, Alton, IL 62002 , Rosewood Heights , Illinois , United States
I have rented musical instruments for both my kids. My experience here has always been great. Great staff, always willing to help and educate customers. Rental prices are also not too bad.
Always helpful and convenient place to get merchandise for music.
Amazing staff
Good people and great service and prices
great customer service and good guitars and pianos
A friendly place.
3 weeks, to have simple repair done. Repair tech in Centralia is discriminatory against people with disabilities, and is a hateful man. He refused to work on my horn after it had been in the Centralia shop for two and a half weeks. They never called me about anything, I had to call them every time to find out any information about my horn. Left several messages that was never returned. Ended up having to have my horn worked on in the Alton shop, I had to to drive TWO and a HALF HOUR OVER 200 MI and pay full price for a repair with no discount even after the tech in Centralia was belligerent and derelict in his responsibilities to fix my sax after it was there for over 2 NEVER AGAIN
My son’s saxophone has been there a number of times. The last time he got it back the band director said that it wasn’t fixed. It went back and still hasn’t been fixed for 3 weeks! I have traveled down there in the past and had several words with them. This is the last time it goes back!
It seems as though the technicians that repair instruments can’t repair the instruments correctly without having to send them out for repairs. The customer has to tell and show what exactly is broken or needs repairs. Th oo bad they are the only musical instrument repair shop in Alton

Great place. Great service.
Trash
Every morning between 630-740 there’s always these signs posted in the windows and doors they are never here they are normally outside but here recently this place is locked up and closed during the morning hrs no one ever answers the phone or door no one to be found….how are you 24 hrs and can lock up at anytime and leave post-it notes annoyed I just needed a vape smh
I would rate this place 0 stars if I could. Saw the reviews and thought this would be an okay place to buy from. I went inside and the music was blasting so loud I couldn’t hear myself think even when the worker came over we had to yell to each other to even understand. Wasn’t a great start but then when I asked about the products the worker didn’t seem the most knowledgeable and was acting very Unprofessional and didn’t seem like he wanted to help me at all. I asked him where the carts are and he showed me and when I asked to make sure it was a cart he reassured me it was. When it was time to check out he didn’t ID me at all which I thought was very strange. When I went to my car after the purchase I opened it and realized he had sold me a disposable which he clarified to me twice it was a cart. I was very upset so I went inside to see if I could return it and get the cart I was promised but then he proceeded to tell me that I was lying and didn’t ask for a cart. He refused to admit his fault and started to have an attitude with me. I will never be coming back to this store if this is how their workers act. He seemed too high to even register what was going on around him. To add on to that after doing more research I learned that this store sells to minors everyday, in another review I read, a 13 year old was able to go inside and buy a vape. Do yourself a favor and go to any other smokeshop at least there they will respect you and the law. I don’t trust any store that profits off of children don’t come here
Piano World Enterprises, D. L. Bullock, Proprietor, is a unique artisan shop specializing in player piano restoration, rebuilding reed organs, onsite pipe organ cleaning and tuning, nickelodeon piano restoration, player piano roll sales and more. I once worked at Piano World with Mr. Bullock as an independent contractor as his apprentice where I acquired new skills helping him restore a rare Mason & Hamlin upright piano with a patented Screw-Stringer design.
Great place
9. Mojo’s Music
Address: 144 N Main St, Edwardsville, IL 62025 , Rosewood Heights , Illinois , United States
Two thumbs up to mojo’s when I first walked in I really did not think that I was going to find what I was looking for but boy was I wrong! after going to all the local music shops a few of them 2 or 3 times bigger than mojo’s I ended up falling in love with a Taylor and these guys made me a deal to good to pass up! they will definitely get checked out again on the next purchase that I make
If your are in the area i would check this out they usually will carry PRS or smaller brands but they will have bigger brands sometimes many there top notch stuff is there acoustic guitar. I’ve been getting lessons and everything has been good. bought a guitar from them it has no problems very good store and customer experience has been good for me.
Friendly, knowledgeable staff.
Lots of inventory and they are willing to deal
Fun shop for sure! Eye candy hanging on all the surrounding walls. The shop’s main focus is guitars so it’s definitely the place to go if that’s your go to instrument. Workers are knowledgeable and always very helpful. It’s no breaking news that guitar shops tend to give off awkward, intimidating vibes (understandably so when you visit any shop with high pricetagged merch) and I do have to try and hide my feelings of squirminess while there, but I enjoy going and will continue to.
I went in to get my guitar repaired, the staff members sat at the counter and talked and ignored me for several minutes. Then after they finally looked at my guitar it turned out to be a very expensive repair so I decided to just buy a new guitar. One would think this would be cue to start selling a guitar, instead they ignored me some more and made me feel awkward for playing any guitar they had. So I went to swing city music right down the road and they instantly came to help and found a guitar that was right for me.
After years of taking time off from playing music, band break up really made me step away, I’ve decided to look around for a new guitar and rig, have gone to Mojo’s, have purchase three terrific instruments from them in the past 15 years, never had a bad experience, today, however, was not the same. I walked into a store deflated of its prior pulse, I was seen and ignored, walked around looking for what would be my next stage guitar. Two employees, yet no time to greet, or attempt to make a sale, to show products, I even made an attempt by asking what’s new, even then not a singular spark of interest in my affairs with them was of significance. I walked out of there for the last time, sad to see such a place become so cold and uninviting.
They did a very nice job at my wedding reception and handled both my list of music/announcements and guest requests very well. Volume and lighting/speaker setup was good.
Trusted person , good price with excellent work !
Recommend to all ..

They have or can order what you need in musical things ,mics , strings, stands instruments ECT.
Great independent music shop. Nice variety & selection of instruments, both new & used. Friendly, knowledgeable, honest staff, full service, and fair prices. I’ve driven the 90 miles to do business there for over 20 years.
Great staff. Very helpful. Decent variety of used gear. Always fun to see what oddball instruments they have acquired.
A good old school music store.
It’s a really good place. Sorry, we were the ones that crashed intk the building
They hate drummers. Lost a sale because they were condescending to a young man I was with. We’ll be taking our business elsewhere.
I frequently purchased merchandise over my years, normally I do business up north. I decided to buy a guitar for a gift about several months later I noticed that the bridge on the guitar was coming apart so I took the guitar back for exchange but was refused to exchange because of warranty. I didn’t expect a new guitar to come apart especially at the bridge we have several at home and never had an issue besides basic maintenance. I don’t feel as if I need to bring rulers, micrometers, calculators to purchase a instrument. Please spend your hard earned money at some other music shop if you want quality and respect.
My experiences their have been very bad. Only 2 people in the store know anything. The owner who name is Art is a complete and total jerk!!! Don’t expect him to respect you unless you are spending loads of Cash. His workers are nice. The store though just feels dusty everytime I walk in their. This has been my experience. Use to like them now Im just fed up with customer service. They do have rare gear tho. Which for me is why I liked visiting their.
