Stephanie is kind, encouraging and fun! She covers both music and theory in her piano lessons and is detailed and patient in her explanations. I’m an adult student with no music background (or comprehension) before starting with her 3 years ago and I am thrilled to be playing piano! I feel that she adapts her teaching to the individual (their learning style, music preferences, goals, speed, etc.), and she is never critical, which is something I really love about her.
Stephanie has worked with my son over 7 years and she is absolutely amazing! She has the knowledge and experience to for your child to reach for their musical goals. My son recently received only exceptional marks for his vocals at nationals and has qualified for nationals all 3 years. This wouldn’t have happened without Stephanie coaching him. Thank you Stephanie!
Ms. Stephanie is the best. My daughter has been taking lessons from her for about 8 years. She is professional, kind and extremely knowledgeable.
How can I contact this store? I tried calling number listed online and website. Person that answered said it was wrong number? What is the phone number?
Super heart customer service!! I’ll be going back again, enjoyed the amazing experience, very convenient!!!:)
6. Fidelio Music LLC
Address: 580 Pershing St, Craig, CO 81625 , Routt County , Colorado , United States
found what I needed quickly due to local store familiarity. Thank you.
I was only gonna get some clothes and drinks. Everything was fine. Cloudy enough to leave Fido in the car. It took a little time to make sure of this and about the way my own self exposure was. I suppose when the actual ability to get it. Instead I figured that security was checking me out. As an American with the knowledge that I am innocent was transferred from me. So I left. The security then followed me to the gas station where we all bought gas and had a pretty good time. I got a cup of coffee. Moral of the story: I am more of a night guy at that whole Wal-Mart thing anyway.
Steamboat springs pharmacy came to my rescue thanks to Cheryl!
Very small, limited selection. Friendly staff.
Using the Walmart app tells you exactly how many are in stock and what aisle to find it in.
Limited selection
The most dysfunctional Walmart in the world. Almost everyone I talk to sounds like they want to die and hate being there and they reflect that greatly with their rudeness. I hate asking for help or questions because I will never get anything helpful from the employees.
Worst Walmart in the country. You know when you say “oh we need …., I’m gonna go see if Walmart has it”, let me help you here… THEY DON’T HAVE IT. The store is always understaffed, and they don’t pay enough to hire any decent employees. No one working there cares about their work. Also the picture on Google is from the Craig store, which is much bigger.
Rude staff and terrible customer service
8. Dusky Grouse Coffee
Address: 1585 Mid Valley Dr #4, Steamboat Springs, CO 80487 , Routt County , Colorado , United States
Couldn’t ask for better service or kinder baristas. They were short staffed and still took such good care of us.
Love this place! I always come whenever I’m in Steamboat and they never let me down. Between the great coffee, friendly staff, and wonderful selection, I’m always excited to come back!
Good service and coffee. No parking and too small. Good if you’re just grabbing coffee on the go.
Parking: There are maybe 2 parking spaces in their lot. Best to park on the street and walk over.
לא חם מספיק
Good coffee, nice staff, parking tight, but have more at the main road or out back
Bummer- I’ve followed these guys on Instagram- looks fairly busy, heard good things-but the first time I went today and got a Mocha- it was gross- couldn’t even drink it- burnt? Old- just bad. I hope it was a fluke but not sure I am willing to try again. Too too bad. Barista made a comment about Starbucks- I felt good about supporting a local company but then when tasting the drink I wish I would have gone to Starbucks- also I did take the drink with me and did not taste it on site or I would have said something in person.
*** not looking for Starbucks:) drinkable would be good though *** will try again for sure and taste before leaving premises-
This place is fantastic except for the fact that they played disgusting music. I went in here with my little girl and they were playing such vulgar music with profanity I was completely appalled and left because my daughter was being exposed to such curse words. Disgusting I hope management reads this and knows you’ll never see me again in your location due to the fact that you allow your employees to play Such music
got vanilla latte. Think they forgot the Milk and Vanilla. tasted like burnt coffee
9. Cloud 9 Integrated Systems
Address: 1328 13th St, Steamboat Springs, CO 80487 , Routt County , Colorado , United States
Very impressed after seeing the showroom at Cloud 9. It’s incredible how much automation and simplification they can do in your home. And the level of organization.
The quality people and knowledge at Cloud 9 are unmatched in the area. Detailed work with the best equipment available. Highly recommended!
While there are so many amazing features, light sconces, control actions, music features, seamless control, My ultimate favorite part of our integrated home by Cloud 9 is the “All Off” lighting button as I leave my house!!
Excelente lugar , alta tecnología
10. Boomerang Sports Exchange
Address: 1025 Lincoln Ave, Steamboat Springs, CO 80487 , Routt County , Colorado , United States
Great prices for used ski and snowboard equipment in Steamboat Springs. We went in as the season was coming to a close and the prices were insanely good. Staff was super helpful helping us find used snowboard clothing for kids. Stop in if you want to save some serious cash.
Such an asset to our community!
Beyond helpful and knowledgeable!

Something for everyone. All my kids get gear here every year
Got a couple of bikes here.
This is the most sorry excuse for a bike shop in town. Their definition of exchange is my definition of a sale, not an exchange. Not to mention their customer service is trash. I highly recommend you never go here. There are at least 4 different bike shops in town that actually care about the customer. Unlike this one.
Received a board from this place as a bday present, but when I took it into a shop to get it tuned for the season, I was told the board had a small edge split that had allowed rot to creep through the interior core and utterly compromise its integrity. These things happen, but since Boomerang had sold a faulty product I had hoped for at least some form of store credit or admission of error. Upon calling the store, however, I was literally told ‘Customer Beware’, and because I hadn’t detected the rot within 24 hours of purchase they were under no obligation to refund, credit, or even, apparently, apologize for not looking over their items. You expect some rough edges on used boards, but not to lose hundreds because the store doesn’t care that they sold you a defective item. Customer Beware.
Really? Average of 4+ stars? I broke my goggles and although I have extras at home (NYC), I didn’t have them with me.
So I bought a used pair here for $50+tax at the end of a day of skiing. The first day of use, the spongy gasket started to break apart, and by day’s end, it had mostly fallen off. I tore off what was left of it just to be able to keep using the googles, and got through that day, and then another. Then, when I tried using them back east, the frame cracked. Someone probably turned these in and got $5. In hindsight, they were probably in awful shape and someone glued them back together, cleaned them up and resold them for said price. To resell these for $50 is just incredibly dishonest.
I understand the principle of caveat emptor, but that just means that used goods are not going to be in great condition and may not last as long as new. But these were clearly damaged and cobbled back together to make them sale-able.
11. Off the Beaten Path Bookstore and Café
Address: 68 9th St, Steamboat Springs, CO 80487 , Routt County , Colorado , United States
Really cute bookstore, I have to stop in every time I go to Steamboat!
Cute coffee and bookstore. Good selection of books besides philosophy.
Great bookstore,,
Cute little bookstore but came here specifically for a pick me up. Got the Great Expectations and couldn’t have been more disappointed. I felt like Pip when he was jilted by Estella and Miss Havisham. It tasted like frothed milk with a slight hint of Earl Grey tea. I let it steep for some time hoping that it would improve but it did not. My girlfriend got a Mr. Darcy and it was rather underwhelming as well. I wanted to like this place but their drinks were a let down.
Rude about masks and sanitizer
Neat store, but I was disappointed by the limited selection.
12. Steve’s Guitars
Address: 19 N 4th St, Carbondale, CO 81623 , Routt County , Colorado , United States
Always great music, best little venue. 6 stars really
This venue is incredible!! The acoustics, the wall to wall guitars, and the comfortable theater seats. Great place to see local musicians leaving it all on stage. Also able to meet Steve, and he is a genuinely beautiful soul with a passion to share this space and enjoy good music. Our little mountain town is lucky to have this venue, what a gem.
Oh Steve’s?!? Oh oh its magic! Its one of a kind
Intimate venue blanketed in an eclectic collection of guitars. Great for solo or small acts to play in, especially warm acoustics.
It’s ok
Intimate, beautiful guitar display. Fun nice place to get to know musicians upclose. Byob.
This place chronically doesn’t pay their musicians who play there. 50% cut of door sales?? No response when folks try to collect their earnings?? Support local music – not this place.
13. Smell That Bread Bakery
Address: 135 11th St, Steamboat Springs, CO 80487 , Routt County , Colorado , United States
Cutest little bakery in the cutest location. Reccomend to everyone! The breads are always fresh. We have also ordered pies for holidays and cookies in the past. Check ahead for times that they are open. Sometimes I have come when they are closed.
The almond croissant and maple bacon bourbon roll were amazing.
The best croissants you’ll ever have. Just go asap! This place is truly incredible.
Expensive for bread that’s just OK.
We went on a Sunday morning and the menu was very limited. Ended up getting two ham and cheese croissants and the last chocolate croissant. Was expecting the ham and cheese to be warm, but it was cold. The flavors were really good, was just expecting more after looking at the menu and photos online. Ended up getting second breakfast elsewhere.
Absolutely amazing pastries. Customer service was horrible.
Last croissant I bought here was overbaked, tasteless & crumbled all over the table. On my recent visit the croissants were brown & looked overbaked again, so I selected the mortadella & cheddar filled pastry & the coffee cake w. berry compote. Savory pastry was tender & tasty but had very little meat & cheese, coffee cake had thin ribbon of berry compote & was dry. Hubby thought the cake was “day old”. 2 pastries cost $14+
There hours are completely random and unpredictable
Not impressed.
14. Redbox
Address: 80 Anglers Dr, Steamboat Springs, CO 80487 , Routt County , Colorado , United States
The guy who owns this is always so friendly and super awesome to talk to. This is a neat little musi store in Summit County.
Tons of records as well as variety in musical instruments. informative and friendly staff. They cut me a deal for an electric guitar and amp. I highly recommend this shop
The owner is a great guy! Always gives you good deals and the selection of vinyls is awesome!!!! Love this place
I’ve heard good things about it but I was upstairs at pug Ryan’s bar
Surprisingly good 45 selection.
Limited selection, average prices
A shambles. Nothing affordable. Maybe okay for guitars, but not music. Looks like a yard sale gone bad. Used vinyl is poor quality, C- vinyl and covers disorganized and twice the price of Denver. Boxes of unsorted records strewn about. New stuff is full list price. Not worth the effort of stopping. Waste of time
Sells broken products. Very expensive.
Terrible customer service. Was out of town for a wedding – asked about return policy and he went on a rant about him being a small business and how he would only give store credit. He was very condescending and unprofessional
16. First String Music
Address: 1880 Loggers Ln UNIT A, Steamboat Springs, CO 80487 , Routt County , Colorado , United States
Being the only music store in a small mountain town, you would think that the folks at First String Music might not necessarily have to care about the finer points of running a respectable business. I was recently out on tour and passing through Steamboat Springs when I had some equipment malfunction. First String Music went out of their way to help me out and follow up with me when they really did not have to, being that I was not necessarily a potential return/repeat customer. I have been in small town music stores while out on the road, and sometimes you cannot get them to give you time of day. In my experience, First String music is the kind of music store that is owned and operated by musicians for musicians. I will be giving them more of my business.
I went to First String to see if they had a good selection of ukes for my wife to choose from. Colleen was very helpful and they had a wide selection. I brought my wife the next day and even though she was very busy, Colleen spent the time to help us get the right fit.
Buy locally!
Nice guy working the desk. Nice store too.
Very cool place. Very helpful.
Nice music shop. Friendly staff.
Store itself is very nice. Teacher wasted my time on a double booking. Should probably charge him 30 dollars for the hour he wasted of mine.
They should stop fixing taylors or pretty much any guitar. I spent over $600 bux to fix my $900 bux Taylor there. The guy advised to change the whole fret arm so I did. Spent almost 400 bux just to have to take it back not even a week after cause It was so stiff af already and just to have this guy blame it on me cause I didn’t humidify it. so a 400 bux fix can’t even take a week. I call BS. One thing is to be a good guitar player another is being a fella who thinks that can fix TAYLORS. Please DO NOT ANYMORE! You certainly don’t know what you are doing!
had the same problem as James, double booked guitar lessons… with an hour drive to get there, it was a complete waist of time and money
17. All That
Address: 811 Lincoln Ave, Steamboat Springs, CO 80487 , Routt County , Colorado , United States
The only place in town I could find cards against humanity. Great staff, awesome vibe.
The staff goes above and beyond to assist their customers. Great shop!
Great ppl, super friendly!! Best onesie prices in town and great place to get tickets for the Chief theater
Beautiful artwork! Eclectic and interesting gifts from which to select
This is a small gift shop with some nicely priced vinyl records, a small collection of comic books, gift items and lots of items with swear words. I personally could do without all the cuss words, but otherwise I liked it.
All That was a wholesale client of ours for years. After Kim bought the business, she refused to pay us over $1,200 in past due invoices for goods received. She will not even respond to our emails any more. It’s a shame as we had such a good relationship with the previous owner. It hurts a small business like ours in a big way and has caused tremendous stress on our end. PLEASE DO NOT SHOP HERE.
