Very pleased with my order from Music Go Round! I found a sweet deal on their website for a PRS Archon tube amp. They were extremely responsive to any questions I had by email and it gave me a lot of confidence about purchasing from them. Just received the amp today and I was beyond impressed with their packaging job for shipping across the country to over here in Washington, D.C. They put a lot of effort in making sure this thing would get here without a scratch. Absolutely satisfied with my purchase and I’m already checking the website for my next piece of gear! You guys rock, thanks so much!
I’ve only been there once so far but the staff pleasant and helpful. They have a good selection of used instruments mostly guitars. I definitely plan on going back when I need something musical. Good prices too!
Nice store with plenty of selection
Solo guitarras usadas y caras
Bought a Saga Masterclone banjo from here. Neck was loose. Would not tune right. Took off the neck and put it on right. It still had buzzing and intonation problems. Tried adjusting it out but no go. The banjo has a great tone and I wanted it to work. I was assured that the banjo was ready to play before I bought it. Took it to a shop to find the problem and was told the truss rod was stripped out. I already suspected that. Let them know and no answer. They knew this was defective but sold it anyway. My order number is #M142824. Beware. They won’t stand behind their products. If it’s good when you get it fine. If it ain’t, your screwed. I would give them no stars.
2 times aI buy online
2 times I had to call and after telling me the guitar is being put in the back for shipping and telling me how nice the guitar looks they canceled my order so ether the employee decide to keep my guitar for him self or decide to big fat sell them to some one after he lie about getting it ready for shipping for me !
Im supper mad at this liars hope they go out of business!
Called to get shipping price on an amp and was told that they don’t like to ship amps and it’s in store pick up only. Really??? You won’t hear Sam Ash or Guitar Center say that. They are happy to ship and take my money.

The staff was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. They worked with me on renting a violin. It was slightly used and a reasonable price
Fantastic family run store with fair prices, a good selection and great in-house instructors
Lots of instruments, music lessons, and a great variety of music.
Great customer service, & good at finding, holding & ordering items you need!
Friendly and had what I needed.
Good selection of everything, and good prices.
On payments to buy a clarinet for my daughter for band in November 2017 I received a new card which my payments were linked to. I have spoke with someone in 4 separate occasions and have them updated card information. However, they failed to process the payment and not that it didn’t go through because the money is there the never submitted it. So today I April 11th, 2018 I get a notice for unpaid balance of $133 since December 2017. The letter is dated March 29th and postdated April 6th. Stating to clear balance by April 9th or they’ll come to my home, go to my child’s school, or sue me for three hundred some odd dollars plus Court cost. I work 12 hour night shifts between two very demanding patient populated hospital jobs and have reached out to clear this more than enough times for them to clear this. I have no idea why they can’t or don’t submit payment as I give them the card information. Very poor company OH AND DON’T CALL WHEN THEIR CLOSED BECAUSE THEY HAVE NO VOICEMAIL SYSTEM it’s 2018 SERIOUSLY. The most ridiculous company I’ve done business with. Can’t wait to be done with them.
They didn’t have any product for me and inexperience help?
Needed to rent a violin for my son and they didn’t have a 3/4 used violin so I ‘rented’ a 1/2 violin. I didn’t realize but my wife also got him a 1/2 size violin from a neighbor so I returned the Klein violin 6 days after I rented it. They refused to refund the first 2 months rent ($43) because they said it was in the fine print…’no refunds!’. Horrible customer service. Klein customers beware!!! They won’t refund anything.

Amazing staffs and amazing service
My go to staffs are Yousif and Doyle in proaudio!
Found what I needed fast. Getting out took nearly an hour, however. Probably understaffed, but I’ve never experienced slow service like this at any GC before.
Lots of cool stuff here. You can play a lot of the instruments. They keep the acoustics and the electrics separate. Seems like a decent selection of the things you might want or need.
Good selection of keyboards.
Ordered a guitar online Wednesday from this store and it still hasn’t been shipped. Guitar center promises same day shipping if you order before midday and I ordered before 9am. Shipping stated it would take 3-5 days to be delivered to me (I love 4 hours away) and we’re now on day 4 and it’s still sitting at the store. Talked to customer support twice and they keep telling me the store is “busy” and will ship my guitar immediately. SHIP MY DAMN GUITAR ALREADY. I’m about to call the store manager or corporate if my guitar doesn’t ship today. Absolutely ridiculous.
Bad service and a clumsy luthier, the only person saving the place was Steve the manager.
As is typical for a guitar center, most of the interesting synths were either not plugged in or not hooked up to a speaker. They also didn’t have various synths I was interested in seeing. Guitar center continues its streak of disappointment.
Edit: Came back 7 months later and it’s exactly the same.

Got a great piano at a great price! And the employees here (Jeff, Richard) provided EXCELLENT customer service. Before going to Music Exchange I new next-to-nothing about Piano’s, and they gave me a quick education in terms I could understand. I don’t imagine I’ll be in the market for another piano anytime soon, but if I am I’ll DEFINITELY be going back to these guys.
It was a good experience, they had some really good pianos there and had a lot of different kinds of pianos
Just bought a beautiful C3XSH Grand Piano from Music Exchange and they are incredibly professional and so wonderful to work with! I haven’t purchased a grand piano before and Jeff and Rich were so knowledgeable and felt like I was dealing with very caring people.
From outside looks like it was remodeled 50 years a go,, inside a lot of pianos very nice salesman, prices are high” , cheapest baby grand piano was like 12k
Where dreams come true
You can’t just came and check any pianos, you must have appointment with them

Skip’s Music at the place to go when you want equipment for your music or you need something repaired
Awesome Music shop and the Weekend Warrior program gives you experience playing with other people and live on a stage. I suggest it to anyone that wants that experience.
Excellent customer service with a lot of knowledge on whatever you’re looking for. I appreciate having them in the city we all live in. I’ve had a love of Sacramento, and Skip’s is on the top 10 reasons why.
Thank you Skip’s music
They are knowledgeable and helpful
Good prices on used vehicles.
I was really liking the nonexistant snobby vibe you get in some places, and the care and experienced perfection the guy who fixed my accoustic was able to do. Did not like how some of the other customers present were treating the instruments they were looking at and trying out, have some manners, please. I can’t imagine walking into a shoe store and testing shoes by stomping around the store yankng on them as hard as possible to see if they break, how did that become the precident for buying an instrument? Grrr
Cody: “I’m sorry you’ll need to put a mask on”
Me: “oh I’m sorry I have a health condition”
Cody: “sorry it is our policy if you don’t wear a mask you can’t come in”
Me: “ ohhhh so you guys discriminate against people with health conditions?”
Cody: “oh yeah I guess we do then!”
Me: “ok you will NOT get my business then!”
Cody: “see yah”
(Paraphrased)
Discriminatory and communist ideals! Will never be back. Just wanted a djembe and small guitar amp but wasn’t able to browse like other people. Sad.
One star for my experience with Mike. Made me feel like I was inconveniencing him by asking simple questions. He was condescending when I asked about a guitar repair. He was also very dismissive. Thankfully the manager on duty Erik was amazing as well as the two gentleman at the front desk. Because of them I will be coming back to the store on a day when Mike is NOT working. 5/5 for those gentlemen. 0/5 for Mike.
I went to this store for a power conditioner. I purchased a Furman M-8lx for $189.95… it retails for $79.99 on Sweetwater. Had I not needed it immediately I would’ve never bought it. I understand a mark up but over 100 is absolutely ridiculous
Took my clarinet in here to be completely overhauled. John did a fantastic job with it.
I didn’t realize that my instrument was as bad as it was until I heard how beautifully it played after the repairs.
Will most deafinently be bringing my Tenor Sax here for it’s overhaul as well. I also recommend him to others to get their instruments that need work call John.
I won’t go anywhere else.
John Gill is EXCELLENT and really cares about his work and the clients he serves.
Good people, Great environment.
Pretty neat ltiile music store
Not good
Idk how this place has any good reviews.. easily the worst music store in all of Sacramento, and it’s not close. Rude customer “service” is the nicest thing I can say about it
Super bad service
He’s an a$$hole. He plays loud music without consideration to the surrounding businesses then has the nerve to have a sign in the window letting the nail shop customers know to not stand IN FRONT of the store waiting for appointments. He doesn’t own the building, nor the concrete in front of it. That says a lot about the type of person he is. I wouldn’t spend a quarter in that place and I hope his business fails.
Tim’s is a great music store and venue. I attended an Orff Schulwerk workshop. It’s a great location for classes and workshops as well.
Lots and lots and lots of gear here. If you’re looking for anything for orchestra style instruments, they probably have it, Great way to try things on for size. Good, high quality instruments.
Amazing selection of band instruments and excellent knowledgeable and friendly staff!
Nice and knowledgeable staff
I have purchase and rented instruments here before. This time, five different staff said they would help, apparently what I wanted was not in stock and instead of letting me know, all left me waiting. After quite a wait we decided to leave. Someone caught us leaving and took our number to call and figure out how we could get ahold of the instrument. That was over 8 weeks ago, my phone never rang. They’ve lost a loyal customer.
This would be zero stars but a plug is warranted for John Doolittle’s sax lessons at the store of which I availed myself a couple of times. Zero stars involves me taking my alto sax there for repair. It’s over 50 years old but has had some restorative work done; fairly significant when I started playing again regularly about three years ago and more minor work several months ago and again following my unpleasant experience at Tim’s, the former by Kline Music and the latter by The Music Store in Rocklin. The guy at Kline is particularly known for his competence. The purported lead expert on reed instrument repairs at Tim’s told me my Selmer Mark VI needed a $1500 complete overhaul and they wouldn’t touch it for any lesser amount of work. The guy in Rocklin then fixed it for $65 and it plays just fine, as it did before it started acting up shortly before I took it to Tim’s. I played in church today and was complemented on my tone by their music director, who is a school music teacher and fellow owner of a Selmer Mark VI. An instrument in need of complete renovation obviously could not produce such a result. I got a different feel from the store than I did when I took lessons from Doolittle at the old location. Maybe they’ve bitten off more than they can chew financially but they’ve certainly lost my business.
16. Guitar Workshop
Address: 3248 J St, Sacramento, CA 95816 , Sacramento County , California , United States
I really like the experience I had dropping my guitar of for a pro setup! You can expect the best from Dave,at … Guitar Workshop!!!
EXCELLENT FIRST IMPRESSION!! Super knowledgeable and friendly folks. Doc Rock fixed up my amp, but spent a bunch of time with Dave and learning about choices for a pickup for my acoustic, which will be my next project. Live up the hill, so not at all convenient, but worth the travel for a local shop with true luthiers!
Took my Gibson there that I bought new in 1988, dropped it of, picked it up a week later and it was better than new. Neck adjustment, filled the frets, new input jack .the action and intonation were better than factory and I’m in love with it again .
Bought a beat up Bass at the flea market, took it to them and they told me I’d be happier spending the money on a new Bass, as opposed to fixing the beat up one. They were right.
Always been pleased with the work done on my my guitars but, doggone, the man lacks soft skills. Every time I decide to give him another chance I cringe for doing so.
Poor service, go elsewhere.
Injects politics into his business, supporting insurrectionists, and insulting people on the company Facebook page.
Find business elsewhere.
Doesn’t believe in Covid, has signs posted saying your body your right,
Triton played our wedding this past weekend and he truly made our day special! He went above and beyond to find the songs we wanted and coordinated with our DJ. His performance was 10/10, all of the guest had compliments for him!
Triton was an amazing addition to our party! Prompt, professional and puts on a terrific show. Live music was a great addition to our event and we look forward to having him at future events.
What amazing talent! And a sweet personality too. Triton performed live AND kept the playlist and announcements going with perfect timing and finesse. Our couple was lucky to have him for their big day. Triton is a treasure!

Felt like home right away, great quality, and they even plugged a little extra time since nobody was there, amazing service
Good vibes
Bruh the engineer here be going money crazy on the mixes lol
I love this building! It reminds me of the original Willie Wonka movie when they in the chocolate factory and the all in that hallway that gets smaller,,,, well there’s this long hallway with all these identical doors, its dreamlike, like your not sure if you in Alice in wonderland or in a chocolate factory. Sooo surreal yes I liked the studio as well. Drip is koo
20. Tubesonic Audio
Address: 3230 Hogarth Dr, Sacramento, CA 95827 , Sacramento County , California , United States
Shane was professional and upfront about all the service he needed to do on my Fender Super Champ. Replaced a tube which was causing volume to fluctuate, and also replaced the speaker which improved the sound 100%! He also has some fascinating insight and stories about amp manufacturers and his work. I will definitely go here again if I need service on ANY tube amp I may need work on in the future. Highly recommend, and he is an authorized warranty service technician on many manufacturers amplifiers.
Awesome!! Shane is so kind and knowledgeable. Thank you!
Shane is a master of his craft and a true professional. He revived this 1990’s fender blues deluxe that had tons of bad work done on it before I purchased it. Shane rewired it and installed a new reverb tank. I would come back to him for any amp or pedal repair in the future.
Good decent affordable prices for most of your audio & needs custom amps and subs etc new used and more
Had a twin reverb taken there, took almost a month to repair, got it back and it was still having the issue I brought it in for, took it back and he said it was a bad tube (after just recovering it back from him), waiting another week to finally get it back a second time and it still has the extra buzzing issue. So I’ve called him several times and he stops answering returning my calls, I’ve left four different messages and he’s never called back and never answers the phone. He says there’s a warranty on the amps but it’s not good if you can’t get a hold of him….. avoid at all cost
