For a small venue restaurant that is on a canal it is a 5 star set up. Don’t expect a downtown metropolitan city 5 star restaurant, for this area it is the best around.
The food here is awesome, wait staff is friendly
Where’s the clam strips? Great food…need more options for fried baskets
Good place for a meal with plenty of dock space for boats.
The food was great but our waitress (Dana) acted like we were putting her out by being there! She needs to be trained on how to talk to and treat paying customers and manage her attitude – even though she was having a bad day! An obvious regular customer came over to our table after hearing us complain and gave us a tongue lashing because Dana “was having a bad day”!! Then she shouldn’t have been there! When we asked for another drink she abruptly told us that she would bring our drinks after she delivered our food (which by the way was sitting in the window a while as she was standing around and sipping a drink). Our experience had much to be desired but the food was great! Sorry Dana – had to complain!
Asked the server what kind of grouper was the catch of the day he said “whatever the cheapest kind is” really ok .. the shrimp wrap can I get it blackened, he says it already comes blackened.. I said it don’t say it on the menu but please blacken it.. wrap comes out guess what ?? Not blackend .. it’s cocktail shrimp .. advise the server and he says “oh the seasoning must of fell off when they cooked it” omg really am I new here ..sent the food back and want nothing else but my beer for lunch. Side note: location is great, canal boats great out door seating. We’re local and wish the service was better .. dropping well over a hundred bucks for 5 people .. expect way better .. too many choices for this nonsense
TERRIBLE FOOD. We Have lived in Lee County 37 years and we can’t remember anything like this! Wait staff didn’t even care?
I wanted to love this place. A local recommended it for dinner. I got the fish tacos (blackened mahi mahi with a mango slaw). You’d expect big flavor but it didn’t deliver. The menu listed the price as “$market” which meant $17. My husband got the fried shrimp, which also lacked flavor. Too bad because the waterside seating made for lovely atmosphere.
Small, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Owner is very helpful. Nice selection and reasonably priced of instruments.
My daughters take lessons here, great shop and people! Nice cafe attached with delicious treats!
We went to open mike night at the Cafe attached to Educators Music. We listened to six excellent local artists. Awesome evening!
Decades old institution in SWFL. Quality teaching for various musical paths and a modest store with competitive pricing. Fun laid back cafe with live music rounds out the experience of this gem in cape coral!
What can I say about this place ? I called told them I needed my tone pot replaced and 3 way switch they told me it would be about 3 days if they didn’t have to order the parts and about a week if they did have to order the parts.
So after a week went by I called to check on the status and the woman told me it wasn’t ready yet and that it hadn’t even been looked at yet that it would be at least 3 weeks before it was done.
I told her the woman I originally talked to said 3 days to a week she then told me that noone told me that and they wouldn’t tell me that because repairs were at least 3 weeks out even though my 14 y/o daughter was standing right there with me and heard the same conversation.. these people are liars to say the least they will tell you whatever you want to hear to get you in the door..
I have since taken the guitar to guitar center and they fixed it while I waited 45 mins later the guitar was done and I was happy !
STAY FAR AWAY FROM EDUCATORS THEY ARE A BUNCH OF LIARS !!
I don’t recommend this music store. The woman working couldn’t find our violin case and blamed us for not calling ahead. Very inconvenient as we have to make another trip to retrieve it.
Instructor was playing on his phone while my son was in his lesson and the front desk is rude and incompetent.
8. Froggy’s
Address: 3620 Stringfellow Rd, St James City, FL 33956 , Saint James City , Florida , United States
Their new look is amazing. Great open space, and the increased bar seating is wonderful. Highly recommend checking out the post ian remodel
Best bar on the island! Best bar I’ve been to in years. Great people, Great service! Wonderful food, strong drink Great entertainment!!!
Fun place to have a couple of drinks. Food looks good, but we did not eat.
The people were friendly, we went with family and it was more of a senior gathering establishment. Everybody seemed to be having a great time.
Good food… funky froggy atmosphere… great music… fun place!
Horrible!! Had to hunt someone down to get seated, took forever for waitress to come. Asked about some dishes, she didn’t know, “I don’t eat that”. Then my frog legs came, paid $16 for about 6 small, little meat, legs. More breading than meat. AND nothing came with them. They were served in a paper box that was turned upside down in a basket. Would never recommend this place. All the reviews were good, did they post them about themselves??????
Disappointing. We have been going here for years. It’s always a special occasion for us because we know what we like there and we love the consistency. We travel 20+ miles to do so. Although anything we’ve had, including frogs leg’s, has been deliciously consistent, today we learned that there has been a sauce recipe change on the shrimp/chicken / broccoli Alfredo. My wife will not eat Alfredo sauce anywhere else because she has been so spoiled by the recipe here at Froggy’s. Sadly, that’s no longer the case. The sauce recipe is no longer the cheesy, creamy full bodied sauce as in the past. It’s lacking in depth, thin and no longer tasty. Someone made the decision to change the recipe and when they did that, they ruined the meal. Please change it back to the old standby sauce from the past. We want Froggy’s to remain our all time favorite restaurant. But sadly, because of this unnecessary recipe change, Froggy’s is just another restaurant in SW FLA that happens to sell shrimp alfredo. It’s no longer that special secret gem we so adored.
If you’re looking for something fun to do while on Sanibel or Captiva, check out Sanibel legend Danny Morgan at Trader’s. He plays a variety of songs and keeps everyone entertained. Always a fun time with Danny!
Danny and Amy are a great team. I am positive you will be entertained and blessed by the work they do
I already thought I could sing pretty well, but I never had any formal training. I started taking lessons to improve my technique and abilities. Paloma has helped me learn the things that weren’t intuitive to me and not obvious from seeing/hearing other people sing. I’ve learned about nasal resonance, breath control, and tongue and pallet placement, among other things, that has improved the timbre and range of my voice in live performance and recording. All these things I never knew about I hear and see very obviously in professional singers now.
I loved TinGle, she is amazing and sure knows how to make it fun.
I bought my bass and guitar here. The staff was kind both times, and helped me choose an instrument that suited me. I will definitely visit here for years to come. Kudos to you guys! 🙂
This address is a private home and there is no Guitar Maven business there! I talked to the home owner who has tried, as a post from the owner of the business responded, that the issue may be with a fault within Google Maps! There seems to be issues by all parties! The owner of Maven guitar was right, that my review was biased since I never actually interacted with the business! I’m hoping that this exchange will help resolve the flaw that seems to exist when using Google Maps!
