Moe was a expert on getting my guitar running again and his low prices on strings and a tuner for 30.00 was excellent.
Moe is great and has many years of knowledge and a great variety of instruments at excellent prices. And Mike has been a great drum teacher to my son. I recommend Moe’s 100%
Amazing, the person running it is super nice, I got a reed for my clarinet and it works awesome
Lots of instruments to choose from
I know Moe personally and he will go the extra mile to make you happy and give you the best deal possible.
3. Leesburg Music
Address: 1607 US-441, Leesburg, FL 34748 , Saint Julien , Florida , United States
Great store, very clean. Nice staff, great selection. Some very decent deals on music equipment
Went in with my first saxophone had no idea of anything about it and asked him to go thru it and bring it back upto par. Very reasonable price to fix it and while there i checked out different keyboards amps etc and his variety was amazin and the prices were like what you would expect from back in the day low and fair. Great place absolutely great place i am definately coming back again and again
Very helpful and friendly staff. They adjusted the action on my guitar and the action is perfect!
Great service and great people. Highly recommend.
Quiero un pad electrónico de percusión y un subwoofer
Was good hadn’t been in there on 3 years come along way
Lack communication skills and people skills
We called before making the 45 minute trip to purchase a guitar, strings and a case, only to be turned away because I brought my little service dog. It was 88 degrees so she did not have her Service Dog Vest on. I offered to go back to the car to put it in her. That wasn’t good enough. We were there less than 2 minutes. I had brought my 16 year old foreign exchange student there and he sure got a whiff of good old American culture today.
So embarrassing. Shame on them on all accounts.
Rude staff who didn’t seem to be interested in my business. I won’t be back.
4. FS Music
Address: 430 NE 3rd St, Crystal River, FL 34429 , Saint Julien , Florida , United States
This place only has guitars and drums if you are looking for tambourines I suggest Amazon
About a month ago purchased an audio interface for an overcharge; It didn’t work and also have had multiple problems with intstruments coming from the store.
There is no reason for anyone to visit this establishment, all I found there was a millennial with a dead eyed thousand mile stare, an utterly useless human being with no inventory.
5. Music & Arts
Address: 2452 W Brandon Blvd, Brandon, FL 33511 , Saint Julien , Florida , United States
I was looking for a music store and
somehow I end up in Music & Arts.
I went in and I was very impressed with the warm, friendly and smily welcome from Julia, I told her that I needed to test a microphone.
She tried every thing possible to test the mic, but, she noticed that the mic
was missig a phantom power supply, which she ordered for me. Then I went back, she tested with the pps and worked perfect. She has charisma to treat and help people and I thank her for that.
I cant begin to describe how wonderfully amazing this music store is. Juan the manager answered all my question and helped me purchase the best violin I’ve ever heard! I have to tell you whoever hired Juan, knew what they were doing because Juan is 1 in a Million! I’m never going to any other music store and I advise others to do the same.
Vey helpful and friendly staff, good prices, good inventory.
Nice, small music store, friendly staff with a variety of guitar options. The location of the store however is atrocious as Regency Square Mall is a very poorly designed store layout and to make the situation worse they design engineers created a mall with such poor means of entering and exiting the facility that the patrons get the privilege of sitting in long lines (usually 30-40 minutes) just to get to the 2 main exit roads so you can sit through multiple light changes before you can actually get out of this nightmare. Love the store, recommend moving to a better location.
Good customer service
This is a great little place with friendly helpful staff. While the selection is somewhat limited the pricing is decent and they do have a good variety for the space they have. I would definitely do business with them again.
This place is the worst music store I have ever went to the staff doesn’t even know what they have in stock I asked if they had kazoos and they didn’t even have 1 all they had was a over priced electric kazoo
The store’s products are fine, but its current management is mind-numbingly incompetent. My saga started off when I ordered a curved head joint for a flute that I already owned, with the challenge being that I needed to find one that fit the flute body. I talked with the store manager over the phone and had the head joint delivered to the store. The head joint arrived earlier than expected, and I brought my flute to the store on Monday, Nov. 12. The head joint was slightly too small, so I left my flute with the manager so that the head joint could be expanded. I was told that it would be ready the next day, and that he would call me. So far, so good – a 5 star review.
At this point, however, things began going seriously off the rails. Having not received any phone call from the manager, I returned on Wed. Nov. 14 to collect the headjoint. When I arrived, I was informed by an associate that the head joint was ready, but that it and my flute were in the manager’s car, and he had just left for at least an hour. Rather than my waiting, they offered to ship it to me, free of charge, with an arrival date of that coming Friday. While I wasn’t thrilled, I accepted and returned home.
Well, the package never arrived, and I called on Sunday to see if someone could let me know when I could expect it. The manager was not at the store that day, but I was told that the flute had been shipped out on Friday (not Wednesday as promised), and that the manager would call me. He didn’t.
Believing that the package had been sent out on that Friday, I patiently waited for a week until the next Friday (Nov. 23) rolled around. Still no package. So I called the store again, and spoke with the manager. He said that it had been mailed out on the Thursday (a day earlier than I had previously been told) and he would find the UPS tracking number and call me back. He didn’t. I called multiple times that weekend, and kept getting the same response (either from the manager or an associate) – the manager needed to locate the tracking number and would get back to me. He never called.
On Sunday evening, the manager said that he needed to reach out to the UPS rep to get the tracking number, but he would call me by 10am the next day (Monday, Nov. 26). He never called. Instead, I called him several times that day, and several more on Tuesday. Each time I got the same response – he needed to find the tracking number and call me back.
Finally, Tuesday at around 5pm, I called one last time and spoke with an associate. After a brief hold, she informed me that the package had somehow “been returned” by UPS and was in the store. IN. THE. STORE. They tried to send it “again”, but instead I drove to the store and picked it up before UPS could collect it.
I have no idea on what day the package was mailed to me, or if it was ever sent at all. I also have no idea why the manager decided to keep MY flute and MY headjoint in his car when left the store that day. Cars do get broken into, and musical instruments would appear to be exactly the sort of thing that someone might want to pawn off to make a quick buck. Finally, it is mystifying that no one realized that the flute and headjoint were at the store until I called at least 15-20 times.
But what really steams me most about all of this is that, having called over and over and over, I never once received a call back from the manager. NOT ONCE. If I was the manager, I would have personally delivered the package to my door, or done something to atone for everything. I didn’t even get the courtesy of a single phone call. Incompetence is one thing – apathy from a manager is another.
When, as a courtesy before writing this review, I called the corporate number for Music and Arts, the only response I receive was that they would forward my concern to the manager. I know exactly how well that will work! In the future, I will shop somewhere else.
Went in to buy a electric with the basic setup. (Amp, cable, picks, etc.) They were having computer issues and we tried my card and my girlfriends and they ended up double charging us (once for my girlfriend once for mine), I found out later that it was double charged and was reassured it would be handled. Well I’ve contacted customer service many times and they always seem to fall short getting back to me. I’ve since disputed the charge but I definitely won’t come back here again. If you’re looking for a good deal go to sweetwater.com they will get you right.
6. Elvis’ Music Shop
Address: 4007 SW Port St Lucie Blvd Unit 5, Port St. Lucie, FL 34953 , Saint Julien , Florida , United States
Our 7yo started piano here and has loved every moment! Miss Rebecca is so kind and patient!
Rebecca has been teaching my son the piano for a few months and it’s amazing the progress she has made with him. He was nervous of making mistakes and often wouldn’t want to try. She has been kind and patient with him, but continues to challenge him to grow. He is eager to show us what he is learning each week from her. My daughter is working with Michelle on the violin, too, and she is also amazing. She has tapped into her interests and found music that she loves. Overall, Elvis’s Music Shop is extremely professional and a wonderful place for children to learn from.
Michelle has been working with my daughter for almost 2 months now. She began with violin and switched to piano. I’m happy with this because I feel the child always gets involved when it’s his/her decision and Michelle was completely supportive of this. My daughter has a hard time with letters and reading but numbers and colors are her preference. I didn’t even need to tell this to Michelle; it’s like she automatically knew and adapted to my daughter. We drive a bit extra to get to the lessons, but as someone who understands the importance of a solid foundation for success, it is completely necessary and not at all a burden when I see the care and improvements on a regular basis. She asks my daughter what type of music she likes, finds it, and uses it to keep her intrigued. Also, I’ve never met anyone who can write so well upside down like Michelle can! This is a wonderful atmosphere for our family. Elvis’s Music Shop was recommended by several families on a random post I made on a community page and after all the recommendations, I thought it necessary to try them out. I can’t wait to see how much she learns! We are very happy with this selection for music learning.
7. Mad Music
Address: 6632 Central Ave N, St. Petersburg, FL 33707 , Saint Julien , Florida , United States
I love this place…good place to start your guitar playing journey. If your journey has taken another route you can sell your guitar here also. Just stop in!
Great store for used guitars & amps…
I love this gem of a guitar store in St Pete! I purchased a 12-string a year ago, and they re-string it when needs it. Friendly people, knowledgeable, and great service.
Nice people and helpful.
I was looking for a pair of drum sticks ( more less i had been thinking about when i get around to a music store and i was sitting at a a craft and drink / dessert place and saw the MAD MUSIC sign & desided to trot over and peek inside it was. pretty interesting and I got my drum sticks so now that I am retired living with my adult daughter 38 and 15 year old son its operation pay back time but I took it at the. Gee that would be a really enjoyable healthy way to keep my wrist limber ! who said aging wasn’t going to be fun!
Guitars and selections ok
Called store and Customer Service is non-existent, felt like I was bothering the guy. Spoke as if I was annoying him. This attitude just cost them a sale. If I could go as low as 0 stars, I would.
I purchased a FENDER frontman25R guitar amplifier from the owner .He told me it was a red leather special edition. I traded the FENDER 25R in at a local music store they showed me online the amplifier Mad Music sold me sells for $90.00 I got $40.00 the amplifier. I’m very upset that I trusted the owner of Mad Music he grossly overcharged me I will never recommend anyone to buy from him. Mad Music totally screwed me over!
Just two words, not professional. I have called to sell my instrument and the guy at the phone was rude and impolite. I have worked for many years in a shop in Milan, and I have never treated my customer like this. In my opinion, this guy should learn how to work and how to deal with people and understand that it is thanks to customer if he is paid. Manager should select more carefully the employees. I suggest you to go somewhere else.
8. Seminole Music
Address: 11920 Seminole Blvd, Largo, FL 33778 , Saint Julien , Florida , United States
I can not say enough good things about Seminole music. I am a new guitar player, so I felt mildly intimidated walking into a music store. Thankfully as I walked in the door I was greeted by Jeff with a smile and a warm, inviting welcome.
Jeff ushered me into the acoustic guitar room and showed me what was available, knowing I was new to everything he explained that I could spend as much time as I needed in there and play any of he instruments, he encouraged me to ask questions and trust me, I asked a ton! I proceeded to spend the next several hours in the store. when I was overwhelmed with indecision and information as well as the cost of it all, Jeff encouraged me to take my time. He also worked constantly on making sure he was offering me the best price, including researching on line vendors and big box competitors. All the while helping other customers and answering the phone.
I came back the very next day and this time the store was less busy and had two additional employees who knew I was new to guitar and trying to decide between two different ones I had fallen in love with. Each employees spent one on one time with me, talking and playing guitar as if we were friends. They played the guitars I was choosing between so I could hear them in different ranges than what I could play as well and get their opions. Each person made me feel special in a way. In this day and age who can say that about a retail store? It was amazing. By the time I made my decision I felt like part of a musical family with constant encouragement. Over the course of two days I watched countless people enter the store and talk about their life, music, current events etc. this is more than just a music store. This is a community.
I couldn’t be more proud to be a part of it.
A huge thank you to Jeff and the rest of the staff at Seminole music and sound.
I love my new guitar and much of that love is contributed to where it came from.
I already can’t wait to buy my next one.
Amazing service and super friendly staff. Did a remarkable job on setting up my acoustic guitar. Could not be happier !
Very helpful and patient with all my questions!!
Local musician here, I bought a pair of sticks here in a pinch before a gig. They broke before my first set was over. 10/10 will not be back here for any gear. 2 stars because the guy behind the counter knew they were cheap sticks.
Keep up the good work!
Get rid of website til there is info on stock
Went to check it out – it appears to be out of business!
9. Seven C Music & Coffee
Address: 535 22nd St S, St. Petersburg, FL 33712 , Saint Julien , Florida , United States
This place is awesome. I needed an adaptor. They were out, but gave me one they were using. Now that’s service. Great store. Awesome to have in the music community
Seven C Music is one of the most impressive guitar shops I’ve seen. The shop decked out with a live stage, cafe, repair center, and loads of great guitars! Seven C has a huge range of Taylor guitars and plenty of great electric guitar and amplifiers. The staff are super-nice and I can highly recommend this store. Check it out! A+
Johnny, Joel, Hunter, and Dave do some of the best guitar repair work in town!
I’m in guitar heaven
Nice place, a bit pricey. $50 for new strings. Pretty good selection.
Went over the weekend to check this place out with my son. Who is an avid guitar player and has a pretty impressive collection. Went in to get some help/ tips on a guitar he just purchased and one of the gentlemen (the one with the skully in the pic) that work their is just snobby and was such a downer no help at all. Thank god my son didn’t really listen to anything he said or was discouraged cause that guy didn’t really know what he was talking about because we actually ended up finding what we needed somewhere else who was a more educated guitar player. Definitely don’t recommend this place for anything else other than nice location. I was truly disappointed. Do better guy.
If anyone needs great service and you can actually feel welcome and play guitars go to ST PETE GUITARS
Very vibey store and unwelcoming. No one really ever spoke to us. We came to spend money but decided to take our business elsewhere. They had a lot of nice stuff but no one ever asked if we wanted to play something. By the way, I think this may be my first review.
Took my Taylor NS32ce here about a year ago at other location, I was having some buzzing and tuning issues and thought it needed an adjustment, Owner agreed and took a look at the guitar and decided it needed a new neck joint shim, he asked to complete the job in store right then, I thought this was weird, but had read reviews that it was a good shop and I believe that they were affiliated with Taylor working there in the past or something so I trusted his judgment. This was a poor decision on my part, I watched him do the entire job in front of me in about a hour, I tried to tune up and play the guitar in store seemed OK at the time, but couldn’t really get a good listen inside a busy shop. When I got home the guitar was trashed, would not stay in tune for anything and felt like the neck was completely out of place from the new shim. Deflated, I took it to Sam Ash in Clearwater and had the tech take a look he agreed with the faulty work and kept it for a couple weeks and when I got it back it played like a dream again. I wasted a $100 at this place. I see the good reviews and wish the shop the best of luck, but wanted to tell my experience.
10. 1st Street Music & Sound Co.
Address: 950 SW Main Blvd, Lake City, FL 32025 , Saint Julien , Florida , United States
New harp love it thanks ladies and gent! Looking forward to that 12 string..or 17
it was like you could expect lines of music supplies music playing of all different kinds I got strings and a guitar from them and will go back
Just gonna give 5 stars cuz everyone else is lol but i just wanted to ask whats the best Acoustic Guitar and lowest price for one? Because ive been playing my whole life and never really took lessons and learned by ear but i ended up losing it when i was 15 it was my moms and someone stole it when i lived in vermont but yeah if you had a webpage id be more then happy to look at it but i guess asking for prices would work
This is a great store, tons of instruments, and a very friendly staff! They offer music lessons for a variety of instruments and vocal lessons as well. Prices are high, but you get what you pay for.
My two times being to this store have been a mixed bag. The first time i went I received some of the best service I’ve ever had at a guitar store. The gentleman helping me was enthusiastic, sincere, and a huge help with finding gear and getting suggestions. This Saturday i went though and it was absolutely terrible. Both the men working acted like overly reluctant Walmart employees when helping me (I was there to buy a guitar) and treated me like a nuisance. When actually finding a guitar and talking about purchasing it one of them walked away and went to the backroom and started loudly playing trumpet. The other gentlemen wasn’t any better when talking to him he just kind of ignored me. It was so bad I left and just got the guitar at a different store instead. Which is a real shame because it left a terrible taste in my mouth despite my first visit being so great.
Decided to sell my 2017 fender Stratocaster and a spider four amp which probably retail together for about $600 they offered me 175 I counter offered 200. Then when the manager came she just said no altogether. That’s fine they’ve lost all my business I was gonna buy $1000 guitar and I was gonna take music lessons from them now I will do neither I went right up the road I sold it for 400 good for them. I will also tell all of my friends not to shop there and I have many.
I took my clarinet to be repaired over Christmas break. All it needed was some pads and corks replaced. It took them TWO WEEKS to get it back to me. When I finally did get it back, they had only replaced ONE of the corks they had been asked to (they marked at least three that needed replacing), and NONE of the pads. For that one single cork, they charged $27.
Over priced for what you get. Cheaper in liveoak . More selection. Or better to buy online
11. Jimmy’s Vintage Music
Address: 108 Main St, Auburndale, FL 33823 , Saint Julien , Florida , United States
Amazed at this place. Got to play some once in a lifetime guitars and now I own one! Will be back again.. Hopefully on a day when joe bonamassa is in!
This is Disney for guitarist! Need a 56 tele? They have it. A 60’s SG more your taste? Relax, they have it. A rare Rickenbacker, or a 30s Gibson acoustic? They have it. Amps too. The owner is easy to work with, and will do trades. And yes, they have affordable gear too!
Great selection of vintage guitars, amps, new and used effects and accessories! Friendly people who are great to do business with!
Pretty neat shop, some of the stuff is dusty but in good conditions.
Jimmy’s has a great selection of used guitars and amps; many Les Pauls, Strats, Teles plus many acoustics. He also has old Fender and Marshall amps, both old tube amps and newer ss amps.
Only guitars, but still cool
Called in about a violin and the guy who answered the phone gave some wrong information. He was certain he was giving me the correct information but he was wrong. Do not recommend for any questions regarding an old violin.
They were closed
I felt like I was bothering the owner because I was interested in guitars under $500……..
12. Matthew Baynes School of Music and Music Central

Great gear!
Very friendly. Parking is at the end of the line of buildings.
Matt was very helpful and the selection is great!
This was a fast and friendly store provided lots of information and gave us a very good deal for my son’s first guitar thank you guys it’s been a real nice guitar for us
I brought my amp and speaker cabinet to this store to put on consignment. It is a Mesa Boogie single rectifier. It work perfectly before I brought it there. It didn’t sell and 7 months later I picked it up. Brought it home and I didn’t use it at all for a few months. Tonight someone was coming to buy it. I went to plug it in and no power. Fuse was blown before I even turned it on. Was told by tech that the 6L6 tubes were toast . I had the tubes replaced and p gone over by an expert. Tubes had about 10 hours on them. Obviously someone at this store swapped out. Never going back to this dump EVER!!!!!
An old store with no selection, but they can order what you want in a couple days.
If i could give it less if I would. You claim your open till 6 on Saturdays. Nobody was home. Tisk tisk.
13. Pianorama
Address: 111 7th Ave NE, Ruskin, FL 33570 , Saint Julien , Florida , United States
Love my teacher Karen. She is patient and teaches well. Thank you !!
Great place for children and adults to learn or fine-tune their musical talent.
Karen is a helpful piano teacher and is well aware of my level of piano playing. She is also very understanding of me, since I am legally blind and have difficulty with my fingers while playing a song. I’m a satisfied student at Pianorama.
Margie is a fun piano teacher. Reading for the first time at 71 years old is very difficult..
14. Steinway Piano Gallery Clearwater – Formerly The Music Gallery of Clearwater
Address: 5990 Ulmerton Rd, Clearwater, FL 33760 , Saint Julien , Florida , United States
The Music Gallery is the #1 place in the Tampa Bay Area for piano purchase and rental. Knowledgeable personnel who care about your needs and have all the tools to make them happen. The only place I go to for all my piano needs.
As a retirement project I began taking lessons again after a 50-year hiatus. I had developed some very bad habits and have lots to learn. It soon became clear that my current piano was not fitting my needs. My teacher and tuner both recommended the Music Gallery They also suggested that I go and play the pianos in the showroom. Jonathan did a great job of explaining and showing the various used and new pianos they had to offer. They allowed me to play as many of the pianos as I wanted all the way up to a beautiful Steinway upright (out of my budget). In the end I fell in love with a new Boston 118e. Jonathan ordered me a brand new out of the crate Boston. The delivery and setup was exactly what you would expect from a Steinway dealer. Thank you Jonathan for making the process so much fun. I just love my Boston.
My daughter has been taking piano lessons for 2 years at Westchase Music School and progressing beautifully. Her music teacher recommended upgrading her keyboard to improve her piano skills, which is why I contacted the Music Gallery to learn more about their Piano renting program. OMG I’m so glad I did! Their rental program is super affordable!!!! The piano is so beautiful, it comes with a beautiful bench, and was delivered conveniently to my home with ZERO hassle. My daughter rushed to try it when she got home from school. She loves it!!! I cannot wait to see her progress. She’s been practicing so much more ever since. I want to thank the Music Gallery of Clearwater for having this amazing piano rental program!! if you are a parent like me that has a child that’s outgrowing their keyboard. Give them a call, you won’t regret it!!!! Best decision ever!
Lots of nice pianos.
They have wonderful piano from upright to baby and grand pianos.
Nice but very tiny parking for music recitals
Place is very unprofessional. If your credit isn’t great they dump you to the side. Never call back and never work with you. Beware SCAMMERS
I searched (googled) for the new location of Piano Distributors and the paid search result came back with this store’s address. Highly unethical and probably illegal. I wish I could select less than 1 star!
I’m sure the place is great if you’re buying a piano. It’s just one of those experiences where, if you’re not a dollar sign, you don’t deserve respect type of things. I was just helping my parents sell their old piano because they were moving. So I called around, these guys popped up first in the search. The guy didn’t sound too enthusiastic when I told him I had an old piano to sell. fair enough I suppose. Sent pics and he said not interested, which was fine, no problem there. So I asked if he could recommend me some options. You know what he said? “It’s an old used up piano” No one wants it the cost would exceed the value (which was true yes) Then he proceeds to say “Just the truth”. Like really bro? You had to put it like that so rudely? That could’ve been said a million other ways without having to be condescending. I called another place up and they didn’t want the piano either, the difference was that they were professional, kind and actually gave us some information on where we can donate and even helped setup up a time for a pickup from the donation center. VERY helpful. So my 1 star is directed toward the rude, disrespectful guy who was also condescending to me, just down right rude. He didn’t see profit, so he didn’t feel the need to reciprocate respect. He was just a jerk. Tweeted it to my 300K+ followers and made a Youtube video on my main channel on snobs like this guy. On the plus side, this gave me an idea to create some content on Youtube. The ad revenue I’m going to get is definitely going to exceed the cost of this experience. Worth it.
