Beautiful jewelry, a bit pricey compared to other places in area
Jamie was amazing in helping us
I like how they grow the place!!
nace (CEO) Cut Everyone Out:
Every Navajo family has one artist (painter, potter, seamstress, silversmith,basket-makers, etc… It’s hard to believe that the so-called CEO has no artist relatives who is hurt by this poor decision to add fake costume jewelry.

This place the staff where rude and tried asking for help they just ignore you and say we’re helping over here and there items are all over priced and looks cheap
They had 50% off their strands. But the guy that worked there said even with 50% off the prices were still high. So I decided to wait another day or wait till when prices go down again. But some weren’t going down to 50 off. He said pretty much take it or leave it. I said something’s wrong with your machine. He disagreed with me. I asked to speak with the manager. She had to guess what the price wd be so the machine could give me the 50% off what they had on their tags. The price for each strand was $2. Half off would be $1. A person with half a brain would know that. But he wanted me to pay $8 more. I said nope. Your sign says 50% off. He said, idk it’s your choice. That’s when I asked for the manager. Did he actually think I was going to shell out an additional $8, without questioning it? Apparently so.
2. Main Street Music
Address: 210 S Main Ave, Aztec, NM 87410 , Saint Michaels , Arizona , United States
I would say 40% of my collection is from Main Street music, as a young kid my father would buy all of my instruments from here. As I became an adult John would always treat me right and give me straight facts and never lead me astray. I have since moved away but their Reverb page is always revolving and has great stuff in it, and I always make sure to stop by when I’m in town. I would recommend Main Street music for all your musical needs, to reiterate what I said, even when they’ve made small mistakes, they would go above and beyond to make things right for me. Even in the metropolitan I now live in, with all the huge music stores, Main Street Music makes even the big retail giants here, look pale in comparison. I recommend this place to all of my musican friends that make road trips to durango.
Had a banjo strap when no one else did. Shout out to my boy, Jimmy.
Best music store in the Four Corners!!!
Awesome selection of products, very helpful staff,
Great place.
Small, a few guitars..nothing we were looking for.
We went here the other day so my husband could talk drums. The staff are full of knowledge and willing to make a fair trade! They’re also very talented musicians! What a great place to get all your musical needs in the 4 Corners! They also offer guitar lessons (see attached photo for info).
Made an unnecessary trip to get told “its not their jam” when do could told me so on the phone before said trip.
Contacted about a Martin and the owner was very rude and mocked me. They buy guitars dirt cheap from people and sell them for 10x markup. I understand brick and mortars but they are rude.
Probably a covid thing and I would love to go here and buy something! However they have chosen to be open only while I am at work and close when I get off work. I guess I need to buy from Amazon? Stay open to 6pm at least one freakin day a week is that possible?
3. St Michaels

4. Majestic Music LLC
Address: 4431 S White Mountain Rd # C10, Show Low, AZ 85901 , Saint Michaels , Arizona , United States
Awesome experience there.
They have a small selection of guitars, but what they have is quality.
We talked with Tevan. He was great… really knowledable, but also sociable and didn’t talk down to people at all.
Guitar shops need more employees like him.
Honest good competitive prices. The owner is a good guy and shares his knowledge of the instruments and music. We’ve spent a bunch of money there and plane on going back soon…
Very helpful both people working extremely knowledgeable and got me everything I needed at a fair price. Got a fender amp works great new strings tuner etc
They could stand to carry a lot more music.
Guy keeps kicking me out even though im one of the only people who tryout the guitars.
Great little shop. Owner Jeff is friendly and patient with us guitar browsing types. Only improvement needed is dealing in used instruments (but those are a headache some shop owners dont really want to deal with).
Oldest guy there was being very rude and threw an the amp cord that i was using while testing a guitar on the ground
5. De-No Music Center
Address: 801 E Florence Blvd # B, Casa Grande, AZ 85122 , Saint Michaels , Arizona , United States
Very helpful. They are very well informed on what new music students needs are.
Friendly staff. Great selection of instruments. Lots of helpful information
Helpfully and easy going
Pretty good place. Small, but has the essentials.
Nice selection of acoustic guitars
Went to buy a guitar but no assistance from the clerk was offered and large sign indicated you can’t touch them without assistance so we left. Makes it difficult to make a purchase. To be fair the clerk was waiting on another customer but just continued to ignore us and didn’t even bother to say “hello” when we entered the store. Not much available there in the way of instruments unless you need used amps, guitar stands, cheap guitars, or ukuleles.
I’ve been there quite a few times before. As a child the owner was alright but somehow he just became rude after a while. There was a time when I was 19(9 years ago) and there was an 800 dollar Jackson on the wall that I really wanted. I brought $850 dollars with me and jammed out on it for about 5 minutes, the owner came up to me and said “If you put one scratch on this I’m going to make you pay for it, do you understand?” I know I look young and I looked about 15 at the time but there have been several times(like yesterday{let me play for 4 minutes and told my party to leave when I wanted to buy a practice amp}) that I brought money in to make a purchase of over 300 dollars and he makes me uncomfortable or says something rude. If you need a reed, or if you need a rental, this is a good place. If you’re a musician, and you want to try stuff out, drive 40 minutes, the owner has been rude to me for 15 years. I swear he hates musicians.
Came in for guitar picks and strings and was thinking of buying an acoustic guitar on the wall. I asked if I could play it he said “yes”. I played a couple chords and got kicked out for playing it to “hard”.
6. Brindley’s Music Center
Address: 836 N Arizona Ave, Chandler, AZ 85225 , Saint Michaels , Arizona , United States
I normally use another shop closer to my home. Due to a backlog of 2 weeks at my normal shop I did some quick searching to find a shop that was still close to home that did not have a 2 week backlog. I called the shop and was impressed both by the backlog being more reasonable and by their knowledge as my instrument is a mandolin and is a little less common. They did a great job doing the repair and provided some great advice on humidifying my instrument which I had not been adequately doing. I really appreciated the personal touch and you have definitely earned a new customer.
Best place to rent a school instrument in the east valley. The employees are so helpful and incredibly nice. The instruments are kept in great condition and are so much nicer than any other rental you will find. They also have a great repair department. I highly recommend this music store!
Excellent repair service on my guitar, quick turnaround and no fuss. Forget the big corporate Music chains, Its knowledgeable people in local stores like Brindley’s that are a cut above. Support your local music stores.
Fix it for the most part. Still feels as if the instrument is leaking from somewhere on the lower register. Still hard to push low notes without struggle.
This place is cool. Ppl are nice. IN THE HOOD IM LIKE PRINCESS DIANNA!!!
-Ice Spice 687:927
It was very awesome service but milanos was cheaper books were 8.00 and care kits were10.00 and at brindleys it was almost 16.00 and for book it was 10
Sold my 6 month old Guild OM240 cuz I was struggling financially. I paid $425 for it at Bizarre Guitar. Owner tells me there’s major work needing to be done cuz wood was dry and neck was tweaked. He said he’d hafta put in humidifier for couple weeks and he MIGHT be able to repair. He offered me $150. I had to plead with him to give me $160…The very next day he listed it on Offer up for $375. Call it smart business. Call it shrewdness.
I call it dishonesty. Only Guild I could ever afford and I’m humiliated. Regret going here.
First off, I want to be upfront, I intended to rent a bell kit form this store for my 5th grade daughter. I didn’t get that far, so I think it’s only fair to disclose, this review is entirely based on my first impression.
Friday I spoke to a woman on the phone who was very helpful. I ended up reserving the bell kit online to pick up at the store on Saturday. I’ll admit I never checked their closing time and I, unfortunately, arrived in their parking lot on Saturday at 5:03PM. They closed at 5:00PM. I have my very excited 5th grader in the car, so I thought, I’m not going to give up, yet. There were customers still exiting the store. I grabbed the door and went in as one of them exited. I went to the checkout counter where I explained my situation briefly to the man still checking customers out. He made it seem like it was something they could possibly do, until a woman walked up and immediately shut it down. She explained they could not check me out today and I would have to come back on Monday when they opened at 10:00AM. Again, I want to be clear, it was my fault for being late. They had already closed. I completely understand why they shouldn’t have to help me out, but they were clearly still checking people out, so the registers weren’t closed. All I’m saying is, how nice would that have been if they did help. It would have been a really nice gesture that could have gone a long way. I still have two more kids coming up behind my 5th grader that will most likely want to be in their 5th grade band, too. Plus, I’m a mom and mom’s talk. I would have definitely spread the word about a place that went out of their way to help me. It’s a shame. I’m all about supporting family owned businesses. They are usually the ones that make these types of exceptions for people.
Called to inquire about an instrument. Owner laughed at my question and was extremely rude. He didn’t answer my questions, and refused to give any useful information.
7. John’s Corner Music Shop
Address: 8680 AZ-69, Prescott Valley, AZ 86314 , Saint Michaels , Arizona , United States
Went there yesterday. Jack fixed my guitar and put strings on. The price is so reasonable it’s hard to belive.
And Jack well can’t say enough about him.
Thank you guys for everything!!!!
John and his crew are incredibly nice and knowledgeable. John took the time to teach me a few things about my instrument and did a few quick adjustments. He also showed us some of his projects. This man is incredible!
John’s has a large selection of guitars and other string instruments. There are also some brass instruments. We got a great deal on a trumpet. Great customer service!
Low quality gear that is way over priced.
wouldn’t give it even one star! I just went in to grab some guitar strings and was never once acknowledged the whole time I was there. Not even a greeting. needless to say I walked out. Not sure what the deal is in this town but I have yet to encounter any sort of professionalism with the businesses here!!!
8. Ch’ihootso Indian Market Place
Address: 167a AZ-264, Window Rock, AZ 86515 , Saint Michaels , Arizona , United States
Always friendly staffs. Best place to buy sz 11 seed beads. I’d rather support this business than the ones in Gallup unless I can’t find something.
Found straight mountain tobacco that I needed.
Was nice and growing everytime I go there
I live in Tucson AZ and was running low on herbs so I placed and online order an more than half of my herbs we’re missing I emailed the trading post back, and hopefully someone will get back with me. until then I will leave you 1 star.
For service and satisfaction.
Thank you!!
Received the missing items after I posted a negative review, corn pollen was still missing though.
Anyhow, C for effort 🙂
– Lorinda.
Cool nice designed clothing, bead work, powwow outfits. Come and see.
The place had some cool stuff but I decided to put everything back because the guy working there was so dang rude to my niece and my sister who both bought over $100 worth of stuff each.
I just don’t understand why the rudeness toward customers. Take some customer service training or something. That way you cam be sure to have repeat customers.
I live out of state and have been in there a couple times over the years to buy souvenirs but after hearing how upset my niece was, you can be sure that I will never go back.
not to great .
Today is April 22, 2021, 2:12pm , I drove all the way from Albuquerque, NM, and was treated very awful from employee!! I came to spend a lot of money to purchase and shop in the establishment! But employee threw down his lunch when we asked to look at items, and when asked again he threw merchandise to me and walked off! I do not recommend this place!!!! I heard a lot of good things about this place and when I finally come to shop, I get this treatment! I tried asking who is the manager and he wouldn’t tell me.. I’m Navajo and to get this attitude from another native isn’t RIGHT!! Stay away!!
