I rented my kids’ musical instruments for school band and orchestra through Music and Arts and eventually purchased them too. They offer a very convenient rental program where a good portion of your monthly rental fee can be applied toward the outright purchase of your rental.
For an additional small monthly fee, the instrument can be insured for any repairs and in my experience, it’s well worth it . If you decide to purchase at any point during the rental term or thereafter, you’ll get a brand new outfit of the musical instrument and the store takes the rental back. The sooner you decide to purchase the instrument, the less is the buyout fee but it’s still a fair deal even if you choose to wait longer.
I also got a very nice sounding ukulele for my son here . He started out playing guitar and still does, but wanted to experiment with the ukulele as well. The sales girl was extremely knowledgeable and helpful in selecting
an appropriate size and style for him and some beginner sheet music and an instruction booklet a well. She even played a few tunes.
They have all kinds of sheet music here and musical supplies and also offer music lessons. I believe once a month, they still have get togethers held at the store where anyone can come and showoff their musical talent and what they’ve learned by singing and/or playing for the group.
Another thing to consider about Music and Arts is that there are many other cities and states where stores can be found, so if you’re moving for any reason and you have a rental agreement in place, you can transfer your agreement to another store at your new location.
Music and Arts is definitely a good find and now they have another store where Gards Music used to be.
Found this place by accident but glad I did. Everyone was super helpful and knew what they were talking about. Great environment, excellent staff.
Always friendly service!
Was recommended this store by my music teacher. Great store that sells anything you can think of music related. Music & Arts had one employee the day I went in to get a practice book for saxophone, and they were most helpful. Very friendly, and helped me find exactly what I needed. It may not have the same inventory as some of the bigger music stores in the area, but I would definitely recommend Music & Arts if you need something music related.
Please come when you want to lose money with auto-charge. they cancel my son’s drum class and cancel the account without lesson credit back. Very bad experience about auto-charge. And very bad experience on Customer service.
Do they have cellos?
12:28 pm, Sunday. The teachers and students are waiting for the shop to open.

Dan is humble and down to earth. I was treated like a rock star even though I am just a regular guitar player. He took care of my Les Paul over night, works perfect. This man deserves a medal for his kindness, respect and god like guitar builder ability! Go to GMP guitars, the feeling is satisfaction in perfection. Wish I had always gone there, but I was shy cuz his star studded client I wasn’t, but he made me feel like one!
Some of the best guitars built in the USA to your specifications!
You like jumbo or skinny and tall fretts? He can do anything. He can create any necks you want. One of the best in the business. Easy and very friendly atmosphere !
GMP Guitars RULE. I picked up my special order Fire Bird and was so impressed I sold my Les Paul and I’m getting ready to order another GMP. After playing this guitar, everything I touch feels like a cheap fender knock off. QUALITY and Great Customer Support. Looks like all the big names are moving over to GMP as well. Want a REAL GUITAR ??? GMP is where it’s at 🙂 RnFnR

I got a severed headstock reattached. Ralph was professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and swift-working.
I brought my Martin into the shop for a setup.
Ralph, the owner/luthier, was clear and straightforward in his assessment. His prices are fair and the work was completed quickly. Ralph did an excellent job. I would recommend his shop.
Excellent communication. Attentive and quick service. My guitar was making noise, and now it isn’t!

Wally is in this for the love of guitar. Absolutely wonderful human being who is easy to work with and loves the little details that make guitars play as wonderfully as they can. He’s worked on all of my guitars for years now. Highly recommended!
Excellent setup! Great rate and very thorough–the tele plays better than ever!
Covid precautionary as well, always a plus! Thanks Wally!
Wally is easy to work with and does fantastic work. Highly recommend.
6. Guitar Center
Address: 1241 S Lone Hill Ave, Glendora, CA 91740 , San Dimas , California , United States
My son loves that place but they need to lower their prices.
I sometimes prefer Sam Ash for some things and guitar center for others… Both have their strong points. Be aware though that at this time the shelves are pretty empty.
The service was alright, it was quick and there weren’t any problems that we had. They were able to answer any questions we had.
everything is so expensive. + all the Gibson guitars are all locked up.
Some workers are great and knowledgeable! and prices are fair when trading in used equipment.
Customer NO service
Had to wait 30 mins to pay when there were only 2 customers on the line.
Bad customer service! I needed a new bass a couple months ago.
After long hours of online research, I decided to try out the SUB by music man at the store.
I get to the store and found the bass I wanted. Unfortunately, both basses on the floor were not working. At first, I thought I had a bad cable since both basses had similar problems.
I requested another cable but the problem continued. At that point, I decided to ask for help.
The guy working at guitars treated me like I didn’t know what I was doing. After realizing he was wrong, he told me to try out a J or P bass and walked away. Why would I do that? First of all, I already own a few of those so I know exactly how they sound. Second of all, as a customer, you don’t go to any store/restaurant and take whatever they want to give you. Anyway, I found this to be very unprofessional/disrespectful. He could of simply checked in the back or called another store so I could try out the bass I wanted. Today, I went to buy a cheap back up guitar for my upcoming shows. I wouldn’t consider myself a professional. But with over 15 years of playing music, I know exactly what I want I terms of sound and action on guitar. When testing out a guitar or amp, you have to try it at different levels and tones to see how it’s going to sound live. Not 5 minutes after I sat down to try out the guitar, an employee comes and tells me it’s too loud. That really bothered me so I got up and left the store. I strongly believe the amp was not loud (about 2 of 10 on the volume).
The problem is, like other people mentioned in these reviews, they don’t think you are there to buy anything. These people are extremely unhelpful, unprofessional, and quick to judge on appearance. When I get home from work, I take off my business clothes and get into old clothes and sandals to be comfortable. This does not mean I don’t have money to buy what I want when I go to GC or Sam Ash. As a matter of fact, over the past few years, I’ve spent between $15,000 and $20,000 in band equipment at guitar center. I strongly believe it’s not just the employees that have a problem here.
Employee behavior is strongly influenced by management.
That been said, the management team needs to step it up and make immediate changes to this place before they continue losing customers like me. As of today, no more guitar center for me!!
