This is where you stop to pick up your PowerBall ticket because both Nevada and Utah don’t sell them. It’s a little drive off the main road but it is scenic (a play on the name of the community is Scenic).

The owners of this place must think it’s okay to overprice everything because they have the only store around. Lol But the place is cute, clean and well maintained. The lady Barbie at the counter was cute and well maintained too! No wonder people drive so far out of the way to get there. But seriously, even though it is probably a better choice for local customers due to the location it is clean and Barbie was nice. It’s just nothing special enough to bother with getting off the highway and taking such a long drive out of the way for an overpriced beer or soda. There is also NO GASOLINE out there so definitely do not venture out there on an empty tank expecting to find fuel. There isn’t any and it’s the only store around there. If it’s lottery tickets you’re looking for there are more easily accessible outlets just a few miles further north on I-15 where you can get fuel and lunch too. Overall, I don’t think I would bother going all the way out there again but I am sure it’s nice for those people living way out there in the desert.

This review is for the food truck called the Little Red Wagon eat that is located directly to the left of the Beaver Dam station and convenience store. They have breakfast and dinner items at this food truck the Red Wagon eats. The prices are very reasonable. The food is very good very very good. And the owner is a very nice guy so I recommend as a Google guide which I’ve never done before like this as a guy that wants to use my “clout” to make this guy really busy he’s currently open 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. everyday except Monday and as the weather gets cooler he will stay open later come see this guy if you’re traveling he’s only like a mile off of the Beaver Dam exit or a little less come see him. Thank you

This establishment has been there for a long time. The store really hasn’t changed, but the bar has changed; its bigger to accommodate music bands,bigger dance floor, more seating (chairs) & tables, the bars menu is more up to date with a variety of drinks, (beer, & hard liquor). It’s change for the better..Oh the lottery machine & stratch tickets are a positive add on.
The lady was not friendly at all. We just stopped for a lotto ticket because Utah has yet to realize the money they lose for not changing laws on it. You dont have to be an over energetic, happy person but at the least friendly.

Came in looking for a baritone ukulele, and ended up making some good friends. The prices are great and the service is amazing. As a young (16) aspiring performer visiting from California, I came in with my grandma and was looking for a ukulele with good quality… and found more than I was looking for. John is so sweet and I got to jam out with him for a little bit. I have never received such amazing customer service from a music store like this before. I would definitely recommend this store to friends and family.
This is a hidden treasure. They have many different instruments at very low prices. They also offer lessons at 1/4 of what you would pay elsewhere. The guitar teacher is wonderful and the owner is great.
These guys are full of information and do awesome repair work. Recommended.

wouldn’t give it even one star! I just went in to grab some guitar strings and was never once acknowledged the whole time I was there. Not even a greeting. needless to say I walked out. Not sure what the deal is in this town but I have yet to encounter any sort of professionalism with the businesses here!!!

Checked out some guitars and amps… played on two guitars and amps. I prefer Fender Strats but the price is enough to scare one away… far away. I couldn’t find what I was looking for as far as amplifiers go, but then again I wasn’t asked if i needed help with anything…kinda left to wander around like a tourist LOL.. so I went to the other side of the store to check out PA systems, mics and stuff and again found myself wandering around wondering who was going to offer some assistance…didn’t happen. So I left. Did I miss something here? Oh yeah… Customer Service… it must have died with Covid 19 or Omnicron or my favorite… Monkey Pox! Trust the science. Lmao.
Sam Ash in Phoenix has gone down hill. They really have a low end selection of guitars right now in there. From brands I’ve never heard of. They had maybe 2 Les Paul classics and that was it for higher end guitars.
Went in, the guy at reception was pleasant and sent me to the “guitar guy”, I had a bass and a guitar to fix (actually 5 minute jobs top) and was looking for a bit of help.
The guy at the guitar section (had an attitude) tells me there’s a 5 WEEK wait on any repairs. Laughable. I drove down the street to guitar center and had both my instruments fixed in 10 minutes for $15.00.
Save yourself the trouble, “the best in the state” shouldn’t take 5 weeks to work in any job, no matter how big or small it is.
If you are in a hurry go somewhere else. The amount of paperwork that they do will keep you there a lot longer than it should.

Brought my guitar in for a setup and to replace a broken pickup switch. Repairs were done quickly and now my guitar plays amazing. Would definitely recommend over Big bucks guitar stores. I will for sure come back.
I would highly recommend this place for any repairs! Great customer service and great workmanship.
I use a pedal for live performance that is no longer produced, and the company that made the pedal no longer exists. So a replacement switch that matched my original pedal was very difficult to find.
Six Gunn found the switch, ordered it and replaced it in a timely manner and the communication was top notch.
Highly recommended.
Super friendly staff, talkative in a good way also the store’s legacy speaks for itself – when the bona fide players come through Vegas there’s a reason they don’t go to Guitar Center!
Fun place for a guitar junkie to shop. Not the biggest, but always an interesting inventory of vintage and custom gear. Multiple luthiers on site. They’ll teach you to build a guitar, too.

Was charged $200+ for a bass to be set up sub-par. While their website states minor fretwork is included in setup costs, I was charged extra for minor fretwork. I would have preferred you communicated with me what needed to be done to make the bass play well so that I could have made the decision to get the frets leveled at that time, but now if I wanted to do that I would need to pay for the entire fret level and setup fees again. This is a devious practice for any kind of instrument repair or tech.
The women at the shop were pleasant, but this interaction really ruined it for me.
Called to inquire on left handed guitar stock and was told that lefty guitars are a “novelty”. Promptly hung up on the uninformed store employee. Wouldn’t recommend this place or spend a dime there.
7. The Blue Note

This is the most professional guitar store that has ever been in Prescott. I’m talking about Prescott Music store on Goodwin St in the 1970s and every music store since.
My Telecaster’s frets were buzzing like crazy, the neck was bowed and the intonation was screwed up as well. 30 minutes in Rick’s hands and it plays perfectly.
As a guitarist who has played since Jimi Hendrix’s “Are You Experienced” was released, I recommend Rick more highly than any guitar technician I have ever known.
UPDATE: Rick turned my unplayable Danelectro into the best I’ve ever heard a Danelectro sound.
And my Gitane Gypsy guitar was buzzing just enough on the 3rd fret of the high E string to bug the heck out of me. But now it plays beautifully again.
Rick the owner sure knows his stuff, he said he’s been in business for over 40 years, not specifically in Prescott at this location but overtime. He has an amazing selection of guitars. From the very novice and beginner guitars to the most pristine vintage guitars. Really nice little place, highly Recommend popping in here, definitely one of my favorite professional music stores in Prescott hands down. He’s a really nice guy and great to talk too. I also recommend John’s corner music shop it’s technically more of a thrift store music pawnshop but he’s a really nice guy too!
I had a PRS in need of some work to make it playable. Rick did a great job installing new pickups, new nut and a set up including adjusting the intonation. It’s like night and day. I was very impressed and wouldn’t hesitate to go back in the future if my guitars need a “tune up”. 5 stars.
Listed as open on Monday. Drove from Spring Valley to find them closed. Need to correct this.
The owner is a pretty cool guy. Very knowledgeable on everything in the store. He has also made guitars for some of the biggest names in music history.
The owner of this establishment is beyond rude, he didn’t answer any questions (which I believe is because he has 0 knowledge of anything pertaining to his little business) and he over prices everything. I understand it’s a local business so prices will be higher but his USED banged up instruments are at least 70% higher than anywhere else for the same NEW instruments which is unreasonable.
I’ll be shopping at a honest local music shop.

I have had 3 guitars professionally setup by Brendan December who is a true professional. After having the first guitar done I knew the other one had to be done as well. I just bought a new guitar and within 24 hours dropped it off to Brendan. Highly recommend his work.
The instruments we have rental have been pretty worn but still work well and it is an OK deal for the price. Customer service is helpful and friendly. We have been pleased with our violin rental over this past year and will continue renting here into the next school year.

Absolutely the worst service I’ve ever had, 3 people working and not one of them tried to help me whatsoever and 2 of them didn’t even acknowledge I was in the store! Very poor service
I have been coming to this music store for years since I was a child. I know that their prices are higher than ordering online, but I’ve still paid their higher prices to support them. Today I came in with a question about how to get a simple cleaning rag, which was stuck, out of an instrument. The guy behind the counter was extremely rude did not answer any of my questions, told me that no one in the entire store had any experience with this sort of question. Sorry to say, but I will not be giving my business to the store any longer. I would recommend milano’s music, or ordering online.
DO NOT shop here, the employees are rude, the owner is rude, their selection sucks, not even half of what they had even a year ago. Quality has gone way down hill. It won’t be long till they’re gone.
