This is a long story but worth the full read so that you can understand the difference between Piano dealers…Our journey to buy the perfect piano started in 2015. We are the kind of clients that make “logical” decisions and don’t run on emotions. We visited ALL the piano stores in Broward County, and even called a few places in Miami, but couldn’t find the right piano for us. I called BOBB’s pianos in Palm Beach (even thouhg it was far for us) and Tim said they had several pianos that met our criteria. We visited their store on a New Year’s Eve, and even though they close at 1pm, they didn’t mind keeping the store open for an extra 2 hours for us. I played every single upright piano they had, and then ventured into playing the grand pianos. Tim and the owner were very patient with us, encouraged our children to play as well, and even taught them the difference between the digital keyboard and a piano. It felt like we were just hanging out with new friends. After playing the grand pianos, I knew that I could not settle for an upright, and the baby grand was still out of our budget, so I decided we weren’t ready to commit. Tim understood our reason and said he would find the perfect piano for us.
For 2 years we received updates on new inventory as well as pre-owned pianos, but still our budget didn’t allow.
In March 2017, my husband gave me “the budget” for my perfect piano” as an anniversary gift, so we looked on Craigslist for pianos, and we visited 2 stores with restored pianos. The pianos were all in questionable condition, even though they were presented as “like new”. We decided to visit another local store in our area and our experience there was extremely negative, the salesman that greeted me started critiquing how I played, and was unfriendly and rushed us. We decided to call BOBB’S Pianos and told them our budget. Within a few weeks they called and said they had a brand new baby grand Kawai piano right on our budget. We drove to Palm Beach with our children and were greeted as we were old friends. It was joyful for them to see me play the piano they had found for me. I said “this is it”, but being a logical buyer, I decided to give the other store a last chance. So, we went back to Broward and visited the other dealership again and found a pre-owned piano EXACTLY like the one I was about to buy from BOBB’S Piano, but with a $1,500 price difference. I was so excited! I had found a great deal under my budget!!! It was all great until the salesman came up to me and said “if you don’t buy this piano, I’ll sell it to the lady that just left”. I really liked the action and sound of the piano, so I started to panic. I called my husband and he was very upset to see the salesman using emotional pressure as a sales tactic. Since it was pre-owned we decided to make an offer to the store manager, whom from the distance just yelled “it’s not going to happen”. Both salesman and manager were extremely rude at that point. I was determined to purchase the piano, so I tried to convince my husband. He started inspecting the piano and realized the piano had paint sprayed all over the top. We both panicked. The salesman at that point said not to worry, that he was going to “do us a favor” and have it perfectly clean if we leave a deposit.
So, we left a deposit. As we left the store we were both upset and “the joy” of purchasing our first piano was gone. We thought about it for a day and decided to go back up to Palm Beach and play the piano from BOBB’S Pianos. We were happily greeted by Tim. We told him what had happened with the pre-owned piano and were honest about wanting to save the extra $1,500. He understood and explained the condition of the pre-owned piano we were considering to buy. After playing the brand new Kawai baby Grand and the way Tim and everyone at BOBB’S Pianos treated out family, we decided to purchase the piano from them. The piano was delivered the next day to our home and it was the happiest experience ever! Buying our first piano from BOBB’S Pianos was an amazing experience!!!
We rented a piano from Bobb’s Pianos and Organs again this year for our annual caroling party. I wouldn’t even consider going anywhere else! As always, the professionalism, detail oriented service and overall experience was spectacular. The piano itself was beautiful in appearance and sound. Every aspect of the transaction was flawless. Many thanks to the whole team at Bobb’s. See you next year!!!!!
Tim was so helpful and jumped to the challenge I laid before him. I wasn’t sure what I wanted to purchase but he patiently explained all the options and I knew I was in good hands. Once I chose the piano I thought would be best for my son it was delivered immediately, in time for his birthday. Exceptional people with superior knowledge of their product, along with exceptional customer service. Bravo Bobb’s!!
We bought a piano here a year and a half ago and we are satisfied with the one we bought. Good customer service. No sales push. On top of all that, they also offer free piano exchange.
You all know how frustrating sometime it came be going thru TSA inside the airport, or had you seen a sign written “restricted area, authorized to use deadly forces beyond this point”, in this place or at least dealing with this sales person you will not pass GO unless you show them you’re clear of $$.
I am looking for a Yamaha U3 used piano for my daughter, looking over the web and found this Bobb’s family own business, give them a call today see if they have any in stock before I go in, spoke to the sales person name Tim over the phone, (which I’m glad I call first no need to waste my time and gas drive to the store) instead of getting what I want to know, pretty much is the other way around, he ask who that for ? is this her first piano ? what’s the name of the instructor my daughter attend to ? do you know the u3 price range is around $5k ?
I told him is for my daughter yes is the first piano, my instructor only do private lesson and she came from over sea you wouldn’t really know her either, Tim replied: he in the business over 25 years knew over 40 instructor in south florida, and he might know her too, but since I don’t want to tell him is fine.. I’m think OF COURSE you have to be fine with that, I don’t need to tell you anything. Then he said : when are you ready to come see the piano ? HELLO!! you don’t even answer my first question ‘Do you have any u3 in stock ?? I wouldn’t be driving to a store without knowing if you have the piano.. he replied we might, I need to check the inventories first, but he sure he had U1 on the floor now, and repeatedly asking me again are you only looking for yamaha and have to be U3 ? also said you know U3 will cost you around $5K even they have in stock ?
At this point I’m fed up, he still haven’t tell me if he had the piano I’m looking for yet instead he start to figure my daughter experiences, Instructor info, if I can afford $5k ? I told him Yes I did my research I’m aware is around 4-5k and my budget is 6K, but now you just lose my business.
If you don’t have what customer looking for just simply tell them and be polite, not to dig into someone background and see if they can afford that is really rude.
I wouldn’t surprise if I go into the store he might ask my bank statement and how many asset I owned before I can actually see the piano, maybe this is how a family own business customer service ?
I don’t know about the others customers, myself I just bring my business else where. I really hope Tim is not part of the owner of this family business operation, because I don’t know how his attitude will last the business for the next generation taking over.
I will NOT recommend Bobb’s piano or at least NOT dealing with this sales person to ALL my friends and families.
Very rude man that came up to us. Went in there because we want to buy a piano but we were just looking right now and I told him that I was just looking and he just stands right in front us without saying for a few second then says “looking for what a refrigerator?” , didn’t even ask if we needed any assistance on what we were looking for or any sort of help.
If you’re going to consign your piano with this company please learn from my mistake and don’t.
I’ve called numerous times to ask about our piano that we consigned THREE years ago and I’m told they still have it. I find that hard to believe. The last time I called the gentleman said that “oh yeah, it’s right here on the showroom.” I asked him for a picture of our piano in the showroom so he could prove he still has it and guess what? I never got a picture.
Not only will they take your piano to consign but they have no interest in paying you what was agreed upon in your contract. So, Bobbs, how do you want to proceed with this because I’m done trying to get your business to do the right and honest thing.
Super friendly, low key shop for musicians and their gear. Repairs, service, parts, consignments.
I brought in my twenty plus year old Fender Acoustasonic amp for service for the very first time. It was popping and crackling. They had to clean out the controls and did a fine job. The costwas about $75 and well worth it. The grill cloth had also been torn. They showed me how I could order the grill cloth and do it myself if I wanted to or they could do it. I did it myself and with their encouragement I was able to do myself and it looks new. Bottomline, I trusted their integrity and work quality. They could have quoted me any price and made up a problem but they did not. First time and not last time customer. These are good knowledgeable people.
These guys are the best and everybody knows it
Good
Were good nice guys and womens
Really nice folks but they weren’t able to fix an amp that another place fixed easily
Sold me an amp for $130 that they didn’t even check at half volume (cuts out) and called that “fully serviced” and couldn’t do anything for me when I complained bc I live out of state.
Closing early on a Friday during season? Bad business practice. Sitting outside your shop at 4:45pm. Call ahead or schedule an appointment with these guys

Steve’s got the touch! I brought in a couple of basses with some neck problems, and now they play like butter! Beautiful work, quick turnaround, great musician, good stories…No need to look any further. Thank you Steve!
Took my Ovation to Steve because I had “issues” connecting it to an amp. Totally me not doing it properly. Steve helped me free of charge. A nice and honest person. Thanks Steve!
Steve was super helpful. He provided an on the spot assessment of my acoustic bass and gave fair advice on what should be done. He didn’t try to ‘sell’ me on any work not needed. Then he made some adjustments while I waited and taught me a few things about the details of the instrument. Would go again if/when needed.

Fast professional install. Honest description of product and installation from the sales staff.
had an excellent experience dealing with these guys. super easy deal and a very good deal at that. 5stars
Did a great job installing my new stereo
Amazing gear and informed sales, but after paying for my system what was supposed to be about two weeks for delivery turned into two months and even then delivery did not happen. Therefore, I cancelled the order and purchased a system elsewhere. I understand that Audio Advisors was stuck because their supplier was not being transparent. That’s what I think happened and not anything less than transparent by Audio Advisors. Still, an unfortunate outcome. What started out as a 5 star experience ended up much less.
Got what we needed lol
I purchased a NEW Mark Levinson amp and preamp combination (Models 526 and 534) from Audio Advisors in April 2021. Fresh out of a new unopened box, the remote for the preamp did not work. I immediately contact the sales staff regarding the problem and returned to the store where they supplied a used remote from a floor model to use temporarily while a new remote was to be sent from the factory in a couple of weeks. Numerous calls, three trips to the store, one email and 20 months later, I finally received the new remote. That alone might suggest a poor experience. Worse, was the rude and unprofessional behavior from the sales staff. Truly bad and not what I would have expected.
Simply put – Purchasing product from Audio Advisors (AA) was one of the most uniquely unpleasant retail experiences I have ever had.
PS – AA comments about demo vs new are factually incorrect and otherwise suggest a lack of organizational awareness.
Unless you are rich or at least dress rich the staff in this place are the worst I’ve come across. This is my third time walking this place in 5 years and the service and vibe I get from them is very sad. They assume you aren’t buying and still follow you around the showroom floor like I’m gonna pocket an amp or something. Their stuff is overwhelmingly overpriced!!! When I went there sometime around 2011 they had a variety of klipsch speakers e.t.c and I go there again this year to see what they have and the guy told me they dont carry those speakers “you can get them anywhere else” he said. But it’s just the Demeanor in which he said it made just wanna walk out and never set foot in that place again. Now I’m not saying this is how all the employees are,but the three times I’ve been it was the same feeling. Maybe next time I will pull in with a Ferrari and gator boots maybe I I’ll get a little more respect!!
Absolutely useless. They have 1 installer and refuse to even look up the available parts for remote start and aftermarket speakers for our Land Rover. Worst Customer Service we have had anywhere in West Palm!!!! Go anywhere else!
