Great instruction, and very convenient to be able to bring all of the kids to piano lessons at the same time!
Main Street music is an amazing and wonderful place to learn music the teachers are amazing there starting with Adina the owner and an Amazing musician with a heart of gold next to rebbecca a piano and violin and a gutair teacher who is an amazing teacher to have next in Anna an amazing person who will in prove your musical inpact and has a great time then there is Mr.kim I really don’t know how to spell his name but every one I have heard says mr.kim who will blow your socks of he has fire hands on the piano then there is casie I don’t know how to spell his name but he is an amazing at gutair and you will love being his student then there is kristy I have never had her as a teacher but has a heart of gold. All of these teachers are an amazing in each of there own special way so if you want to learn music come on down because you will have an amazing time.
Music Instructions on almost any instrument. Happy place to learn.
Very helpful with new violin and restringing. Tried lessons and decided not to continue there. No progress in lessons over 5 weeks at $90. You might have a better experience but we would not choose them again.
I went in today to check the place out. The woman working looked at me like I was crazy. I had no help with anything. Awful place to send children or anyone for music lessons.
They repaired my saxophone in a timely fashion and it works as good as new now! The technicians were knowledgeable and whoever answered to phone was very helpful and polite.
All your music needs in one stop!
Had everything we needed for my daughters first year in orchestra.
Nice enough place, but geared primarily for band and orchestra and general percussion; don’t go shopping for guitars there but you can get your ukulele fix there.
Friendly staff and a decent selection for most common needs.
Let me be clear, I love this place, it’s spectacular when it comes to orchestral deals, but in terms of guitar it’s god awful. I bought fresh strings and all the bass strings were coming apart and every treble strings snapped as I tuned.
I wouldn’t get a gift certificate for anyone from this place… My husband tried to use his after just a few years and they wouldn’t honor it!! It makes it hard to support locally when things like this happen.
Go anywhere else but here!! They quote times for repairs that are so far off. My daughter has waited for her instrument for a month (when it was estimated to take 2-3 weeks) and they just told me another 2 weeks.
They told me I didn’t need instrument insurance for normal wear and tear, and then stung me with the bill that was equivalent to insurance anyway.
This is not the only music place in town….go find another place!

Wonderful vocal coach. I have learned so much. I hope to get my daughter in for vocal and piano lessons.
Kim is a fantastic and knowledgeable musician and teacher. She has fun with the kids and shows them how they can be their best self. She is patient and tactful with all her students showing them how to use what they naturally have in playing music. Kim cares about the kids, the parents and the experience they all get with music. Did I mention she has the patience of a saint!
My 11-year-old and I are so happy that we found Belle Musique! Kimberly Campbell, the owner/instructor, is a fabulous music teacher. She has high expectations, while exuding warmth and enthusiasm–the perfect combination! After three months of lessons, my son is still excited about playing the trombone, and he’s improving quickly, with Ms. Campbell’s encouragement, guidance, and expertise. I love that he’s found something besides video games to be passionate about! Thank you, Belle Musique!
This is the best place to shop. Customer service is awesome .
These guys are awesome! I have been to many music shops and never have I been treated so well.
This is a fantastic shop and one of the few you can access premium Ibanez and Gibson models. I used to be a frequent customer back when they were a much smaller shop and for the first couple years after they moved into the old Circuit City building. The owner is great, their luthier is great, their associates are great, and their acoustic room is par none. I moved away a number of years ago, but the next time I’m out to visit my folks, this will be one of my designated stops.
nice selection of guitars and equipment ,and associated equipment … of string’s piks & suff!
The atmosphere is friendly, and this is clearly not a corporate chain establishment. Unfortunately, they no longer carry Taylor guitars.
.
I’ve got a Breedlove Stage Pursuit, 7 years old, played nearly an hour every day. Prob needs some setup by July 1 for getting back on-platform at Timberline Church. Do you have a tech available (a number of guitar stores – including Guitar Center – say they don’t have one anymore) who could do the work? Would love not to have to drive up to Cheyenne or down to Denver. Thanks.
It was the worst customer service. All I needed was my guitar tuned up. I was given a time quote for when the guitar would be finished. When I called to ask about the guitar after the time quoted, some one told me, it wasn’t done and it would be another 3-4 days. When I asked why I was told the original time frame, and what changed that a tune up would take 5 days instead of the 1-2 I was originally quoted, the response I got was, “Well, I don’t know what to tell you.” The customer service was deplorable. I decided to go pick it up with out the work being done. When I picked it up and made a comment about why couldn’t someone have figured out how to quote it correctly, or at least notify me when they realized it was going to be longer, the guy I spoke with at the shop was rude, and even suggested that the reason it wasn’t done was somehow my fault. So, not only did I have to go pick up a guitar after it was not worked on I was then told I was also my fault that the it never got worked on. After years of me having exclusively shopped at Spotlight. I will never ever return.- As a local business I expected that customer service mattered. The current employees don’t reflect any of those values that I assume the owner does, unless I’m wrong and the employees DO reflect the values of the owner….unfortunate.
I came to Spotlight to pick out a starter violin as an adult learner. When I Arrived, the crew seemed friendly enough, but were completely unknowledgeable (about anything other than guitars) and not of much help. I probably shouldn’t have bought a violin at this point, but I needed one to begin lessons so I went for it. I was told that the store has a 7 day return policy, so I figured it was all good. I happily bought my violin and went home and had my first lesson. In the short time I began to figure out more of what I was doing, I decided I needed a larger violin to fit me. I took it back to the store before my seven days were up and was told, “This is a commissioned instrument. We can’t return or exchange it.”
NOBODY EVER TOLD ME IT WAS COMMISSIONED NOR DID IT HAVE ANY TAGS OR MARKINGS THAT WOULD SUGGEST SO.
Also, when I bought it, the fine tuning pegs were put on backwards and upside down and it was not strung my anyone who knew what they were doing. You’d think as such “professionals” they would inspect the instruments they put on the floor. After all of this, they never offered any consolation for my waste of a $250 violin plus the money I spent at a real music store to fix it. I guess I should have just known it was commissioned through magic or something. Don’t waste your time. If you want to deal with professionals, head to Boomers Music Company, Music Go Round, or hell, even Guitar Center. Literally anywhere. A pawn shop maybe?
Thanks, Spotlight, for your fantastic customer service.
Good place to buy a cable or some other basic stuff but do not use for luthiery. They took my bass with a promise of fixing it in a few days. Several days later they told me they didn’t have the parts and I’d have to wait weeks longer. The best part? One of the employees was checking the availability of the parts the day I dropped it off. They just chose to wait a week before telling me. As I was on tour, I had no choice but to pick it up and deliver it to another luthier on my route. I just wish they had told me the truth from the beginning.
7. Music & Arts
Address: 238 E Harmony Rd Suite D10-12, Fort Collins, CO 80525 , Severance , Colorado , United States
Great store with a pretty good selection would recommend got my Scarlett 2i2 at a really good price although they did not have any of the XLR cables I ordered those on Amazon so no big deal.
We participated in the rental program. The program was easy to enroll in and for us worked great for our kiddo who played the violin. Many don’t know that there are different sizes of violins and the rental program allowed us to size up with ease.
After three years of renting, we made the decision to use our rental equity to get a new violin.
It was a great option for our family and appreciated the great customer service!
Great service! Definitely recommend it you need repairs on band instruments for your kids!
The staff are nice & know their products.
Got a speaker that came without a charging cable for some reason. They gave me a new one. One of the employees even went above & got a part I was looking for. Out of curiosity & to have something in the store. No problems with the store whatsoever. And I’m a hard please Lol
Horrible service. Had my daughter’s clarinet cleaned and tuned. They took two weeks longer than promised, qoted me $50 but ended up charging me $130 for what they could only explain as routine cleaning and tuning, and when we finally got it back, the mouth piece was MISSING!! The sales people are friendly, but BEWARE the maintenance is all sent off-site and is completely incompetent.
The local store staff was nice, but the main office/customer service has been absolutely horrible to deal with. We tried to return a rental instrument in early June 2020, and the storefront was closed–despite the incorrect signage on the door stating their COVID hours and availability. The phone would just ring and ring with no message about closure. We tried 5 different times to return the instrument before were supposed to be charged again. Upon the 2nd try to return with no luck, I reached out to the main company customer service number. No answer…then I submitted a request through their website to be contacted with my information and the situation regarding trying to return the violin. Never heard back from them. However, after being charged for the following month, I put a stop payment on my credit card. Then, they kept sending me bills. I continued to call and follow their instructions to protest the charges. I even had photo evidence from each time I tried to return when the store was supposed to be open, but it was actually closed, each conversation that I had with someone in the management office, each email that I sent. It didn’t matter…the company said they would send me to collections. I recommend that you NEVER rent or purchase anything from this scam company. It is not the amount of money lost which upsets me….it is the horrible business practices, service, and disregard I have received from Music and Arts.
I wish i could say I had a good experience but a sales person who didn’t listen to me ended up selling me in a bad way and then i was only informed on pickup. you got me once, ill never come back though.

I needed an IEMonitor system. Branden helped research it and then ordered two systems. I bought one for a great price! Best deal and cool people. go here.
Super helpful staff and lots of interesting gear for decent prices.
Not only has the inventory tripled in size since I started going here a few years ago, but the amazing staff has also really stepped it up in terms of putting together a legit team of helpful musicians who are willing to put the time in with their customers to find the right gear they need.
A+, Five Stars, Two Thumbs Up, etc., etc.
Good deals and knowledgeable staff .
Asked about where to repair my amp, told him I had it looked at by a local sound guy that has been repairing amps for decades(including four of mine, which I was very happy with) but wasn’t sure if I wanted to return it to the factory to be refurbished. The guy behind the counter(the manager) took that opportunity to bash the guy I went to(pretty excessively), and try to convince me his amp guy would be better than having it factory refurbished. It was rude, unprofessional and I’m doubt I’ll ever be back in the store.
Pricey stuff. But good condition. Great service. Would love to go back and see what else I may want to get in the future
Good music store but don’t sell them your musical instruments – they value everything on ebay and offer you less than 10% of its value. Offered me $50 for a very old German violin which I sold on craigslist for $800 which was about the value of the instruments I could see them looking at to compare against on ebay
Came in with my wife yesterday. Picked your sign off the ground on my way in the store… someone thanked me. that was the only employee interaction I had in 10 minutes of browsing. Not a single person offered me help or asked me if I wanted to play anything. I was here to spend money. you have 500$ shecktor that would have been sold. and the 170 bass would have been also. and a wireless pickup system. but i felt like i wasn’t valued, i grabbed a couple strings and left. oh well i guess?
Had good experiences in the past here both buying and selling but chose to offer me $200 for $1500 worth of bass gear. At least guitar center offered me 50% of the total worth. Avoid if you are selling. If you are buying check EVERYTHING over as much of the wind instrument stock has issues.
EDIT: Went back last week to trade another guitar. The salesperson claimed that the neck was twisted (so they of course couldn’t buy it) which was debunked later by a good luthier. I really want to like this store but they don’t employ honest people.
9. Two Sisters Violin
Address: 7776 CO-14, Fort Collins, CO 80524 , Severance , Colorado , United States
Evangeline is great! I have learned so much. When I first started I didn’t know how to read music and could hardly play the violin. Evangeline has been so patient and has structured my lesson to match my learning style. I now can read music and play many songs. I would highly recommend her!!!! She is so friendly and knowledgeable. I will continue to take lessons and so happy I found an excellent teacher!
Evangeline is a wonderful violin teacher. She is patient and gives very good instruction. My daughter (8yrs old) has had her as a violin teacher for almost 2 years and continues to look forward to her weekly lesson.
Evangeline has been my son (9) and daughter’s (7) in-home piano teacher for the past 3 years, and she has been wonderful! Evangeline is always punctual and professional, and she is always willing to accommodate our family’s busy and constantly changing schedule. Evangeline has a kind and friendly disposition with the kids, and they look forward to their piano lessons. Evangeline is an extremely knowledgeable and talented musician, and my kids are continually making progress with their piano skills as a result of her instruction. I highly recommend Evangeline !!!

Our son took piano lessons for years here and loved his experience. They are patient and really try to cater to your preferences and learning style. Every teacher we had was simply amazing! We highly recommend for both adults and children.
Great fun, excellent teachers!
Highly recommend! Great instructors and they organize a wonderful recital every year.
11. Downtown Sound
Address: 330 E 4th St, Loveland, CO 80537 , Severance , Colorado , United States
I love supporting local businesses. I found Downtown Sound when my son started middle school band. They are so nice and helpful. They knew us by name every time we came in. Great place!
Still the best brick and mortar record store in northern Colorado!
Very good vintage connection, not so much from modern libraries but a decent few rock LPs. Good instrument upkeep selection as well. Very good.
Grandson was taking guitar lesson at Keptone Music. Which recently move downtown into the store that sold records. The Music Instructed are the same, they are professional
This place is worth stopping in. Sometimes, they have really good vintage audio equipment for sale.
Not much of a selection. Only concentrate on a certain genre.
Record Day was handled really poorly here, unfortunately.
Closed during “business hours.” Extremely inconvenient. How does this place afford to stay open.
