Matty and his staff provide personalized service at good prices. This is a really good local business, doing good things in the community.
I was looking for music classes for our daughter and somebody had recommended Matty’s music. I gave them a call and got the owner on the phone. He was so nice he explained everything, so knowledgeable, and we set up a time to bring in my daughter. I’ll be very honest when I first saw the place I was hesitant but don’t judge a book by its cover! Maddie is so great! He gives the kids a safe space to be themselves while learning all about music and reading and playing, and it has quickly become such a special place to our daughter that now she’s brought her friends there and they too have found the absolute warmth and amazing place that Matty has here in town. Also the prices he charges are unbelievably fair.
Had to get my guitar fixed. Matt took care of it right away and did a great job. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend
Great service.
Dirty, stuff everywhere, completely disorganized.
3. Music Outlet
Address: 151 Hazard Ave Suite 14, Enfield, CT 06082 , Sherwood Manor , Connecticut , United States
great prices ,special orders, super knowledgeable staff
Gary and his employees are knowledgeable with music. Has quite a bit of music. Always friendly.
Great place to get your music!
People here go above and beyond to your visit worth while
Good selection at fair prices
Little bit of every genre in this music store. CDs, Vinyl, and even some Blu Ray’s and DVDs.
This isnt a music store. I am a professional guitarist, and was looking for a local place to buy another guitar. This is a RECORD store, the ideas cool but I think the name is miss leading. Its definitely not a music outlet, should be called record outlet.
Someone said “best indie cd store around” which is a real stretch. Not a whole lot of indie in my experience. Mostly boomer rock and playing it safe mainstream stuff. It may not be your cup of tea but if you own a record store and don’t carry at least one King Gizzard record then you aren’t really tapped into what is current and what sells.
4. This Old Piano tm
Address: 450 Enfield St, Enfield, CT 06082 , Sherwood Manor , Connecticut , United States
This is a great place. I had an opportunity to play there. Great brands, high level instruments, great service. Visit this place. It is really worth.
Ryan is a well experienced technician and provides great service
Forget about those other so-Called piano tuners.
This is “THE MAN” for the job.
Not only did he “PERFECTLY” tune my piano, but tweaked it to perfection. Made my “1890” old piano sound brand new. I highly recommend this guy for any restoration and tuning.
Izzy Flores
Highly recommend! Ryan is top notch and always gets our studio piano at Sage Sound Studios sounding great! He is very knowledgable, and accommodating.

6. Hazard Sound LLC

Hazard Sound is a cool and unique local repair shop with great vibes, super genuine and hardworking owner that does great work. And extra points for location. Love It!
Jon is easy to work with and keeps you informed throughout the process with anything he finds during setup.
I had a few guitars setup at Hazard Sound. They both play perfectly and came back super clean! Highly recommended!
7. Windsor Music Centre
Address: 95 Poquonock Ave, Windsor, CT 06095 , Sherwood Manor , Connecticut , United States
Very helpful and patient. Went to do an instrument rental and they sized everything and had all the necessary items in stock. Happy to support a local music store!
quick in and out
It’s okay.
Nice guy and great service so far!
terrible repairment
Not bad.
My grandma brought two ukuleles here to be repaired before she passed away. They were from the 1940s and held a lot of sentimental value for me, as they were the first instrument I ever learned to play on. After she passed away, a family member went to retrieve them and the store conveniently had “no record” of them. Scammers and low lifes.
8. Music & Arts
Address: 378 Kelly Rd, Vernon, CT 06066 , Sherwood Manor , Connecticut , United States
Went there for the first time a couple of weeks ago with my teen daughter to purchase a violin. The customer service we received was top notch. We were treated so well and able to purchase a violin. I can’t remember his name, but the employee answered all of our questions and helped us to pick out the right shoulder strap for our budget and experience level.
He told us she could take violin lessons at the store on Wednesdays which was pretty cool and unexpected. My daughter signed up for a few lessons and had her first one with the instructor, Kaitlyn, yesterday. She loved the experience and said Kaitlyn was incredibly patient and helped her to feel at ease. I would highly recommend this store based on our customer service experience.
Connor and the guitar teacher I spoke to were extremely helpful and friendly. Great customer service with my brand new Mandolin which I am looking forward to playing for many years to come!
The staff are so nice here. I take guitar lessons weekly with Anthony. Great place to learn to play an instrument and buy one as well.
Small space but with limited music supply stores in the area it’s good to see places like this still up
This store is a good place to get music books for several instruments especially classical instruments that you can’t find many stores for. I have a violin and go here occasionally to buy books for cool songs. 🙂
They don’t seem to have the music inventory that they once had but the guy who helped me was super affable and helpful.
The in-store representatives are great and nice. But I am very much disappointed with the customer service representative and the supervisors. All of them showed rude behavior. I signed up for 10 months contract and during Covid situation there was delay in returning the instrument to the store at the end of contract period. But Music and Arts still charged me for 2 months on higher cost. Way above my 10 months contract. When I called the customer service, they were very rude and not showing any flexibility and care for customers. I wanted to do business with them for the next school year. But with these behaviors I will NEVER do business with them. I could not find anything lower than 1 star rating…
All they need is customers’ money… No care for customers… even in this COVID situations…
9. Charter Oak Acoustic Devices
Address: 49 Pearl St, Enfield, CT 06082 , Sherwood Manor , Connecticut , United States
Had what I needed and staff were quick to answer questions.
Very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff. Nice layout. Easy access from I91. Ample parking.
We went there for a new tv; in the Enfield store. Josh was very knowledgeable about the TV we were interested in; which led us to a much easier decision. Most of all he wasn’t pushy. He gave us his full attention and didn’t rush us.
Sandwich bread sucks but, they are one of the only places for a sandwich. I recommend going to the pizza place on bank row. They have great Italian sandwiches and pizza
Little bit smaller than most stores in the chain. Staff was friendly but hard to find due to the holiday rush.
Nice
Not a single person asked if I needed any help after being in one spot (looking for a car stereo) for almost 20 minutes… zero customers in store due to covid. ended up ordering from another best buy right after I walked out of the store.
Horrible experience. Came in looking for a phone repair, the screen is broken and there is a software problem. When I went to Geek Squad, they said they do not fix broken screens. I told them it was fine, but could they look into the software because my phone is acting up. They said “No, sorry we do not fix broken screens”. Again I said “Thats fine, but can you look into the software?”. Geek Squad again, “Sorry we do not fix broken screens”. One last time I told them, “I am having issues with the software, not the screen.” Geek Squad AGAIN has the audacity to say “Sorry we do not fix broken screens”. I clearly asked about the software and not the screen. After that I proceeded to leave the store. Later I looked online and it says they do fix broken screens at the Enfield Elm Street location. If they do not, then contact Headquarters and have them change it online.
I really hate going to Best buy. I have my reasons I’ll never go back. I went to the Newington store to get a ipad they had on sale. My brother was getting a very serious operation and months of recovery. I thought it would be nice to give him something to use while in hospital.Whem I got to Best buy I was TOLD I NEEDED A APPOINTMENT!!!! .They were very RUDE to me and said they didn’t have any ipads.Another customer in line LEFT UPSET SAID HE WAS spending a couple of thousand dollars .HE LEFT. I went to Costco and brought an ipad on the spot.Spent 900.00 dollars. THAT’S WHY THERE CLOSING.
