This is the best music store around! Small business is the best way to go! You are often greeted by the owner himself, who is extremely friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable in all areas. The rest of the staff are also very much so and are highly experienced in particular areas of the music industry. You must visit this wonderful family owned business!
Great Service
Friendly service, not always trying to get you to buy something which is a big plus, and experienced staff.
friendly peopel
John is always a pleasure.
I brought my guitar in for minor pickup wiring. 7 days later they hadn’t touched it. I came back to get it and I wasn’t given a reason or an apology.
I would really love to give this place five stars, but… The thing is, even though they have a fabulous selection of guitars, (and I DO mean FABULOUS! After, all, I bought my Yamaha that’s in the pawnshop right now here, and I’m fabulous af ) they don’t have a fabulous way of treating people that look like me. Every time I walk in this place, the long-haired dude is so weird. You can just tell he’s waiting for me to pocket something so he can rush to the front and lock me in! Like, dude, I paid cash for one of your overpriced, mass- produced workhorse-guitars. I’m not gonna swipe some maracas while your back’s turned. I don’t even want to shop here anymore, which sucks because Guitar Center is hella far, but at least they don’t make me feel like I’m not welcome.
Dont say you buy old musical equipments, if a 63 year ventage trumpet is not worth any thing more than a head shake and disrespectfull knowladge.
Great place with great people and a very diverse inventory. I was surprised with the amount of guitar effects pedals they had to offer. I wasn’t ignored and didn’t have to wait for help.
I’ve been going to Sound Exchange for about 30 years and have spent A LOT of cash there over the years. It all started with my twelfth birthday when my dad got bass guitar lessons from Johnny and I’m 47 now. Wow time fly’s! They’re the best group of guys you could ever ask for!
The way measurements that make competitor Guitar Center.
Nice “little shop” I say it this because it run locally not a nation wide ” I have to look into that” kinda place.
Much larger then appears from the out side!
Had all the ECT.. I was looking for plus some things I didn’t plan on seeing.
Great bunch of folks running it.
I’ll be back and I live over and hour plus away.
Customer service was slow. No refunds, merchandise exchsnge only.
They let the kids try out the drums
Their rental side needs a lot of work. Lots of problems: #1 Nearly 3 HOURS LATE to deliver tables and chairs for an event is unacceptable. I had to call the office repeatedly because I was not receiving any updates. The office told me they couldn’t reach their drivers that had the items loaded on their trailer (who were apparently in Belleview). It took my 4th phone call to check on the late delivery before I ever even received an apology. The delivery guys that showed up were rude and when I mentioned how late they were, their response was “we didn’t know we had a schedule to deliver these” which is ridiculous. I told them their office told me they couldn’t reach them and they said ‘they hadn’t received one phone call from them’. #2 They need help with their customer service – every time I called they were short and acted like I was bothering them – even my first time to ask questions. #3 Their new online system still has a lot of issues. I had to call the office to pay and to later make changes, because it wouldn’t let me log in (without getting error messages). And after all the issues, and the survey I submitted, I never once heard from a manager or owner to apologize.
Drove two hours to buy a uke to find out they are closed all-day on Sunday. You may want to change the hours on Google maps and your website.
Rating is based on one bad experience in this establishment. I arrived and was looking at starter bass yet they offered. I did not like the Amp that came with the set. I asked the gentleman that was helping if I could upgrade to a bigger bass and pay the difference, he explained he had to ask his manager. Another gentlemen came out who was nicely dressed and said he was the manager and he would allow me to exchange the bass for a upcharge. When I was ready to checkout another guy comes over rude and says he isn’t gonna allow it. When I explained the manager said he would do it. This gentleman very rudely said he doesn’t sign the paychecks I do. Now I have always lived by a couple major rules on being your only as good as your word. This establishment did not live by there word.

Sam is a Master and a Hell of a nice guy! Just check out his Facebook page and look at the work he’s doing. Also very reasonably priced.
Great person, honest, quick, does great work and priced right. No hesitation in recommending Sam to anyone!
Being a beginner guitar player, a friend told me to take my guitar and have lighter strings put on. I googled to find a luthier and Sam’s came up I called him once or twice and we discussed which strings to put on. I went and pick them up and drop the guitar off, he got it back to me in fairly short order.
I bought a Taylor in Springfield Missouri last June and had it set up there. Was looking for a mellower tone.
Sam did a very nice job!
Sam knows what he’s doing! He does it all. Great guy. Communicates well and gives you options. Great prices. Support small business!
10. Shores Pawn & Jewelry

Great people to negotiate with. Fair and reasonable!

Worst pawnshop in the county , knowing sold me a ps5 headset when i asked for an xbox one it didnt have the usb transmitter and when i tried to return it to the same guy i bought it from they said they couldn’t do anything , they are known for lowballing people for there stuff SAVE YOURSELF AND DONT GO THERE
If I could give this store 0 stars I would. How is this place even open? They have no type of customer service they treat everyone like drug addicts and the prizes are horrible smh value pawn is a way from where I live but well worth taking my business to them Dont waste your time here just go to value pawn its well worth it.

Great store courteous cashier and store very clean.
Love this family Dollar very helpful and they are very pleasant
Good products,good value.
I like everything in the store
Family Dollar has a variety of common household items that can usually be purchased for less than most department stores. It is often difficult to get assistance from employees at these stores but if you know what you’re looking for it is worth the trip
I was in thier . friday August 14 2020. And when I walked in the cashier was on her phone .come to find out shes a assistant manager Ashley. She has no customer service . never said hi or by and when I got to the counter she said “what do you want” . and on top of that she had music playing behind the counter that was very inappropriate for a buisness. She is the only one I have a issue with. All the others are nice and inviting when I walk in and ask if I need help.. Someone has to do something..
Store needs an overhaul.
Disgusting employees and manager. Got lied to & called names by WALTER after trying to purchase an item that was posted as sale. Every previous time I bought this item the cashier scans a code behind the register to activate the sale. Apparently at this store location store #02427
The manager decided to hide this barcode so the sale could not be initiated and therefore charging higher. After requesting the managers help and clearly pointing out the sale that was advertised I was just lied to and told the store doesn’t participate in that sale. Disgrace for the whole company.
EDIT: went down the street to a different store with the same deal and they gave it to me fine. Just a confirmation that the manager is a scamanger
