Great little music shop good selection of guitars awesome staff very friendly
Good folks here, it is a pleasure to deal with Paul he is a kind hearted person and eager to help, he also is a great musician and knows his way around the guitar.
I’ve been regularly visiting Paul and his shop for the past couple of years. The guys are always super nice and they’ve got an awesome selection of great instruments. They carry essentials like strat-like guitars and acoustics but they always have some really unique stuff on the wall as well.
Not to bad
Great local music store. We have shopped here for years.
Rude
Good place to buy guitars, don’t ask them to fix anything you own uness you want it damaged.

Bought a beautiful Loar LM-600 from Clarinda. Great set up, great playing mandolin and a great price.
How can you not have fun at a place like this.
I had been eyeing Clarinda’s websites and instruments for quite a while, about two years. I went to the west coast for a technical program for 9 months, and saw one for sale in the local ads even up there. Since I apparently could never escape, I had to commission something.
If you’re used to playing on cheap, starter mandolins from factories, know that a lot of them are overbuilt out of thick plywood for the top. They tend to be more plonky, less ring, less resonance overall. A lot of them are also not set up very well, which makes your job of learning the instrument even harder.
Do yourself a favor; spend a bit more and get something that will not just sound great, but play easy. I commissioned an F-style oval hole mandola, pitched below a mandolin. Love it. Highly reccommended.

Awesome service very knowledgeable my one stop music shopping for everything I need!!
Great energy, helpful, fast
Yo anyone who would like to start taking up lessons for an instrument or possibly singing, then head on over to Preston Palmers Studios. They have te best instructors in arkansas in my oppionion. you’ll love it and won’t regret going. It’s always a blast going their and everynow and then u can swing by and just hang out and chat with the teachers and workers……they’re some of the funniest people I think I know.
My guitar was in for repairs for about 4 months. Almost no communication was provided about status of the repair work. It’s understandable with Covid making it difficult to have parts shipped, but the lack of adequate communication was uncomfortably disappointing. I don’t blame the young individual who was working on my guitar, but rather leadership who should have provided direction on appropriate and timely customer service communication. It doesn’t matter to me that it would have taken considerable time for repairs. But the lack of communication stating that due to a backlog in parts, and it was just a waiting game, would have been enough. A 30 second phone call every couple of weeks or so to advise a customer that no progress has been made is better than nothing…it would have been enough to have left my guitar there for months longer. The ironic thing about all this is that I really like the store and the people at Palmer Music, so I will most likely continue to purchase my music supplies from them and I hope my experience there was a one-off….
Usually busy because they’re good at what they do!
I was looking at electric guitars and they didn’t offer to let me plug any of them in. How are you truly going to know if you like one or not if you can’t hear the sound.
Go to GUITAR CENTER instead (you can actually have FUN there).
Went in expecting to buy a new guitar on 01/26/2023. The man behind the counter was very unfriendly & unhelpful.
I found one I wanted to buy but I just didn’t really want to give my money to a person who didn’t know how to smile.
Another employee walked by and was even more emotionless than the other guy. I left feeling very unwelcome.
I will not be back.

Definitely coming back. The gentleman greeted us with a warm welcome. We are starting a new hobby and thoroughly explained how we can do so. Look forward to doing future business
Great service. Excellent.
Very friendly and helpful staff!
Always very helpful. Some hard to find items too.
Great area to buy and repair items of school instruments also very nice people
Loved this business. Welcoming people, warm. ❤
When I got there I was excited to be buying a ukulele something I’ve been wanting since I was little and when I asked how much taxes were because $82 up from the $54 seemed outrageous the man said idk and didn’t even check it just took an extra $21 and when I was asking questions about other instruments he had. No information literally making me. Still waiting on the money to be back in my account had to go to bed hungry tonight
Awful service. Bought strings for my guitar, and since im not very good at putting them on and they were the most expensive strings, i left my guitar for them to put the strings on for me bc they said theyd do it for free and that they would call me within a day or so. I waoted almsot a week and figured that i must have missed the call and went there to get my guitar. They hadnt even touched it and told me that it would be several more days before they could get to it. I just went ahead and took my guitar. Never getting my business again im just gonna go to guitar center.
Pretty great selection of instruments, however I felt extremely awkward with the staff and felt like my questions were intrusions. You could chalk this up to me just being anxious, but I would have much more appreciated an employee who could recommend stuff to me, and willing to help me find what I’m looking for. I’ll be going to A different shop to get what I need

Been coming to this store as my shop of choice when buying new gear since 2015. Love this place, and the owner is just awesome. Cool story…
Back in 2016, when the shop was at their old location at the corner of Sunset and Gutensohn, I came in with the intention of picking out a new bass guitar. I’d never been in this shop before, but it was time to upgrade to a nicer bass so I thought “why not, it’s on my way home from work…”
I played several basses, and finally settled on one I liked. I told the owner that this was the one, and that I’d come back tomorrow to pick it up when I had cash on me. So the next day when I came in to buy it, I arrived to find that he had given it a professional setup totally for free. It played even better than when I decided it was the one for me. I never forgot that, and since then remix has been my shop of choice. Love you guys! Thanks for being exactly what the music scene of NWA needed!
They are the best.
Whether you want to buy something or are looking to get something repaired they are the local go to guys.
Highly recommend.
I had absolutely no knowledge of guitars; however the store associates we plenty knowledgeable. I felt very at home at this store and even gave me a 15% discount for my Yamaha PAC112VM. I highly recommend them over the bentonville store as the other store felt very buisness oriented and felt like I couldn’t touch anything, but here is just like home. 5/5 highly recommend!
Friendly’s staff knows equipment.
Firstly, this shop provides great service on guitars, setups and string changes. But beware of purchasing a guitar that is not currently hanging on their shelf. For example, the Fender American Professional II Strat, comes in 9 different colors. If you want a color that isn’t hanging on their wall, they will offer to get it for you, but it will be considered a “special order” and not eligible to be returned. This is an odd policy since they are an authorized Fender dealer. If you order the guitar direct from Fender, or Sweetwater, or any other online retailer, the guitar is eligible for return no questions asked. So essentially, trying to support a small shop will eliminate any guarantees offered by the manufacturer. Understand, I realize a small shop has limitations and must do what’s best for their bottom line. However, it was never communicated to me “hey if I order this guitar for you, it’s unreturnable.” The thought never crossed my mind to ask, since the item I ordered was a stock offering from Fender, nothing special or custom about it. It’s extremely surprising that a Fender dealer is not able to provide the same customer satisfaction policies that are in place by Fender themselves. Most of the guitars hanging on the walls are mid-tier or entry level guitars, so if you want something better, and you want the peace of mind to return it if you’re not happy with it, then I suggest looking elsewhere. If you need a great setup on your guitar, ReMix can do it.
We bought a guitar here for our son a couple weeks back. One guy was way too salesy and talked too much but I like supporting local so we bought one.
Horrible experience at this place, I was sold a Trumpet that was WAY over priced, When I went to go and try to receive a refund I was told I should of been charged a cleaning fee as well. The owner did not process my refund correctly and I was told go deal with it with my bank. DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU WANT A HEADACHE OR TO BE RIPPED OFF.
I would like everyone that may read this to know that this business has absolutely NO AFFILIATION with Lee Hight or the original Musicians Pro Shop in Springdale.
The fact that they are trying to use the name as their slogan is very disappointing to me & my family and misleading to potential customers.
Please quit trying to profit off of my dad’s legacy.
Edited to respond to your response:
First, the response you gave me here and the response you gave on Facebook present two different ideas: one playing dumb and one asking permission. That alone shows your dishonesty. At least be consistent.
Second, my uncle Larry did not own the Musicians Pro Shop. He’s an easy going guy but he cannot give any real permission to use a name of a business that he did not own. I do not blame him for this though.
Third, the fact that you are sticking to the legality argument just shows that you lack morals because we are well aware that what you are doing is not illegal. My family has been reached out to numerous times regarding your awning and billboard by people that are furious. I worked at a music store for 6 years in the area and met dozens and dozens of people who told me they knew my dad and shared great stories about him. Your narrative that “no one remembers the business 25 years later” is very rude and naive to say. I’d be willing to bet that no one will remember Remix music in 25 years.
Last, you could have used your response to apologize, show empathy and explain yourself in a much better way that I would’ve respected you for. Instead you chose to gaslight me and be defensive.
As a local business, you depend on your community to pay your bills. Angering your local community is the last thing you’d want to do. This is a bad look for you and it will come back to bite you at some point. Best of luck.
Love this place but couldn’t find what I was looking for.
12. Arkansas Musicworks
Address: 2400 SE J St, Bentonville, AR 72712 , Şiria , Arkansas , United States
Been looking for A Bigsby B6 gold left hand for sometime. Saw on line that AMW had one. I’m an old guy who doesn’t shop on line. Made the trip from out of state and glad I did. Was telling the guys what I wanted and they said come on back in the warehouse and let’s see what we have. MAN OH MAN! If they don’t have it. They can get it! But they had everything there that I needed. Can’t wait to get home and put it on my Peerless Wizard Custom. Yes I know that the B6 is for thick body guitars (think Gibson ES175). But they had the short hinge for thin body.
Thanks again, AMW is topnotch.
Good selection, kind of pricey. I had to wait nearly ten minutes to pay for guitar picks. There was only one staff person at the time I visited. I will still shop there, they are conveniently located on J street.
Great place
Good middle of the road goods.
I thought I would take a chance on them, and bought an AllParts p90 spacer kit. Simple enough, most p90’s dogear covers are the same or very close. The All Parts one is WAY too big for Gibson, Epi, Lindy Fralin, and most dogear p90’s. Had they adequately given the measurements on their ad I would have bought elsewhere. They will refund, but with a %15 restocking fee because I opened it to see if I could make do with it, but it is almost 1/4″ too wide and 1/8 too long. What a waste of time. I went to a nearby autoparts store and bought a set of gasket materials and cut out my own in 15 minutes. Don’t buy the ALL PARTS p90 spacer kit. Or any of the others for that matter get a gasket kit and cut your own for $11, any height you want.
Went through amazon to purchase a Dimarzio super distortion pick up. The sent me an openend plexi with a generic p/u. Wiring diagram did not match the p/u received. The intent was to have a 5 split shaping for the p/u. I got a pick up with no hot wire or series ground. What a bunch of con artists.
I bought a Zero Glide zero fret nut replacement through Amazon, but it was fulfilled and shipped by Arkansas Musicworks. I bought it 8/3/18. It is now 8/12 and there has been no shipment. Amazon emailed that the seller had not shipped within the time frame allotted and that I could cancel the order, follow up directly with Arkansas Musicworks, or whatever. I cancelled and will buy elsewhere. Never a peep out Arkansas Musicworks. Small item but they totally dropped the ball. Now I wouldn’t trust them for anything I need or am in a rush for.

They are mostly a band store, but they are musicians – they like music. And they do carry guitars and amps. Really nice guys to hang with
Very nice people & had everything we needed!!
I like the people there. Very friendly and helpful. They have real nice instruments. And I think the prices are satisfactory. I will recomend them.
Friendly staff, small selection instruments. Musical instrument lessons given here
Nice, clean store with nice stuff. A helpful staff that watch u coming in and out. Slightly high priced, but good quality merchandise.
Good selection…
The absolute worst store ive ever been in will not be back
Not very much guitar stuff. Didn’t even have strap studs.
A few months ago, I visited Saied Music’s North Little Rock location to look into used flutes (online flutes are too hit-or-miss, I discovered, so I wanted to be able to try one before buying). Not wanting to spend a small fortune on an instrument I wasn’t sure I’d stick with, I figured used would be a safe bet.
The gentleman who was working that day showed me a Jupiter flute that had a price tag of $380 or $385 (I just distinctly remember it being in the $380 range). It had a head joint with a gold-plated lip plate that I found rather garish, but for the price, I was willing to consider it once I tried it and realized it played fairly easily. So, I went home to think on it, but I ultimately put off getting a flute for awhile.
Yesterday, I returned, and lo and behold, they had the same flute still in stock. However, this time a different guy brought it out, and the price had been removed, leaving only a partial green tag with some text on it. The man made a fairly loud show of talking to the other guy, who had originally showed it to me the first time I saw it, saying that, since it had a green tag, he could sell it for below the “book price.” He thumbed through a binder, ran his finger down a list of prices, and landed on $480. Then, he quoted me $450, saying that price was $30 below list.
I immediately thought of the scene in Legally Blonde when the clothing boutique worker pulls a tag off a dress from last season and tries to sell it to Elle for a huge mark-up, believing her to be too uninformed to know any better.
I closed the case without taking another look, then left the store without saying another word.
I lost all trust in Saied Music in that instant, and I will not return.
The best music store! Staff is helpful and knowledgeable about the instruments. They have great prices. The best place for your musical needs.
This is the best store ever !!! Everyone is so nice and helpful, I LOVE this store!!!!!! My daughter bought me a Fender Guitar here and a Peavey Amp and they went out of their way to help me!!! I will be a lifelong customer!!!
Guy who owns/runs it is really friendly and cool. a better place to buy than Guitar Center
Nice enough folks. The store seens really bare compared to what it was like 2 years ago..
just went by there to by my sons xmas. There phone was disconnected and they werent open ehen we got there.
15. Guitar Center

Awesome guitar store with really good prices. Also the service was really friendly as well great Staff.
Great store and service
Ah I just love this place! It’s a good spot to find affordable equipment.
I went to pick up an item I bought online, and I was using their contact less curbside pickup option. I checked in that I was parked and started a chat. I waited for about 10 minutes for either a response or someone to come outside with the item, before I decided to go inside and see what was going on. In their defense they were pretty busy, but an employee was just coming to the door with my item, so I walked out to the car with him. He explained that the chat feature doesn’t work on their end, which made me think they should find another way to handle contactless pickup. Either way, it was pleasant, but not as good as I would’ve liked.
Nicely laid out store. Wish the employees know a bit more about their products.
A rather large Guitar Center especially for a smaller city. I’m not a big fan of GC simply because they hurt local music stores that almost always do a better job at serving real musicians. I will give this location credit for having a somewhat knowledgeable staff, rare for GC.
Young inexperienced workers was rude and waited to be helped but they were just visiting with each other will not go back
Walked around 20+ minutes, several employees were engrossed in their phones or something… Not one offer for help.
Nothing in stock. Kinda rude.
16. Big Event Music

Really took care of my guitar when getting new strings on it, very friendly salesman.
Never been here but I’m gonna rate it 5 stars because I’m nice 🙂 lol
Also, do you guys take barely used instruments?
I have a snare drum I’ve had for two years and I don’t use it and so I’m looking for a place to sell it to.
Went by for odd cables, not expecting him to have them, and he did!
Not only that, he invited us back to check out the stage, a floor tom tympany which was amazing! I never knew one existed.
Top notch everything!
I’ll be back!
The guy I see on weekends named Douglas is always friendly and a big help.
These guys are always willing to help and are really knowledgeable .
Excellent service
Holy cow. I didn’t even know this place was open until I went inside. Not very inviting and the whole building needs renovations. Seemed very trashy. Almost made me feel like the items there have less value just because of how badly ran the building is.
Not enough inventory
I bought a lot of things from Brent when the store sold instruments and amps and was always happy with them. Unfortunately, things have changed. I brought a guitar in that needed a rewire job. I was aware they were busy with festivals but they kept my guitar for 2 months and finally called and told me they didn’t have time to fix it. Needless to say, I wont be back.

18. Little Rock Violin Shop
Address: 316 E 11th St, Little Rock, AR 72202 , Şiria , Arkansas , United States
These guys are very friendly and professional. I want take my violin anywhere else
Honest employees that really work to understand what you need and want and then work to achieve it. I come here everytime I need something in Arkansas and highly recommend you do as well. They are performers as well, so they understand your world and can work within it.
This shop is old world cozy in appearance and personality. Their professional services require artful craftsmanship which is almost magical. (Remember Ollivander’s, where Harry Potter got his wand?)
Friendly helpful people are in short supply but not at Little Rock Violin Shop
I love that there’s a local place to have your stringed instruments adjusted and usually while you wait. My only complaint is that they charged me two different prices for the same service. My family is new to violin lessons and the instrument, so I can’t be absolutely sure that there was no difference…but there should be a uniform price for tuning/restringing a 1/4 sized violin. The staff is very courteous and informative. They also have a list of great string instrument instructors.
Unique violin shop
19. Steinway Piano Gallery Little Rock
Address: 657 AR-365, Mayflower, AR 72106 , Şiria , Arkansas , United States
These guts are real piano technicians, not self taught tuners. Tim is wonderful. He has tuned both of my Kawai pianos- my grand and my studio-height upright. I played the grand after he finished today, and it is amazing how crisp, yet rich and full it sounded after he finished. Their price is amazing. So glad my friend recommended Steinway Piano Gallery.
Classy and prestigious; not only because it is the state’s home to the Steinway brand, but because Steinway Piano Gallery Little Rock also features a recital hall to showcase quality pianos and talent. Plus, owner Stephen Wirges has almost twenty years of piano tuning experience as Arkansas’ only authorized Steinway technician.
I’m so thankful I was given Steven’s name when I was looking to purchase a new piano. The new Steinway Gallery is so inviting, with a helpful friendly staff. Steven and his staff helped me find the perfect baby grand. It was a dream purchase, they walked me through it and got me set up with regular tunings that work with my schedule. I’m so glad central Arkansas has a Steinway Gallery owned and operated by such honest and quality people.

While I have never bought anything from here i have found many things that I definitely WANT to buy here. They have a very unique selection of things that appeals to everyone, not just the nerds. This store reminds me a lot of the store Hastings in Benton, and that is never a bad thing.
Good place to get movies
I like to browse here but would never buy anything.
Good place to check out, never know what you’ll find.
Clean and really nicely setup. If you like nerd kind of things this is the place for you!
Just walked through mall; store offering didn’t pull me in to browse.
I wouldn’t get even one star spent over $50 on DVD they play for 20 min and start skipping this is the third time this is happened called to see about a refund and the manger wouldn’t listen to what I had to say he keep interrupting me I would say just save your money and stay away from this store if u don’t want the headache
No where as good as it used to be. Large store but everything is ridiculously overpriced.
