Very good repair staff and service
I rented an alto saxophone from Evanston Band and Orchestra and found their staff to be friendly and helpful on my journey to playing music again. They were accommodating in letting me try different horns as well as recommending different reeds to get started.
Ted & Craig do a great job on instrument repairs.
I always come here for all of my musical needs. I even bought my first trombone here and I’ve been coming here ever since. It’s a great place to get whatever you need for your musical instruments.

I’m not using my real name for a reason. BE WARNED! Instruments are ridiculously overpriced and you will NOT get the bang for your buck! Look for a different store that sells instruments at their REAL price or LOWER. I’ve recently used Facebook Marketplace or Amazon. Take this seriously! Don’t waste your money on instruments that aren’t worth their price!
I called to ask about replacing a string on my bass guitar. I’d tried another location, but due to the recent ice/snow storm, parking was within walking distance was impossible or illegal. The man who answered the phone was very “short” with me and impatient… Because of his demeanor, I would NOT recommend anyone doing business with this company. Who wants to pay to have someone be so rude to them (outside of certain Chicago resturants)? I’ll take my money and future busines elsewhere~

Great service and reasonable pricing
I had a productive and easy experience with Seman Violins. Noah Scott, an enthusiastic violin maker, helped me through the process of buying a violin and gave me some ideal pricing options for the violins I was trying out. For sure the best shop I had visited within a 75 mile radius of home.
The concert space was lovely, though amplification would help. We had a great time seeing the band.

Both of my boys took lessons at Five Hands for multiple years. The teachers are always prepared, know how to handle one kid that excelled and wanted to learn more and the other kid that we had to really push to practice. They gained a lifelong skill that has benefited them in performance and musical knowledge. We have very fond memories!
Exceptional studio. Five Hands Studio has provided the instruction, support and opportunity for our son to develop his piano playing abilities. In addition to one-on-one lessons with an exceptional teacher, our son participates in group lessons, recitals and local competitions. The studio also offers seminars to parents on supporting your child’s practice habits. The atmosphere of the studio is positive and caring. The teachers and staff are passionate about music and their enthusiasm is contagious. This is an ideal atmosphere for young musicians. It has been worth every penny to see our son develop a love for piano and performance without anxiety or pressure.

Good studio. The teachers and staff are quite capable and great with the students. Progressive lesson plans. Also has programs with area music competition/achievment groups. They also do a recital 2x a year. Good for all skill levels.

Renting an instrument from this store is so easy. Even though we live far away from the store we always rent from Cassandra Strings because of their great customer service. I highly recommend this store.
