Solid. Beyond Highly Recommended. This is a true workshop. Wonderful Luthiers.
So, lately I’ve had some experiences that have made it clear(er) that I’ve taken for granted some resources that been “no brainer” reliable. John Pederson at Amazing Grace Music in San Anselmo is the latest reminder. Literally, for decades I have dealt with this man and have referred friends with little reflection. NOW I would like to finally celebrate that relationship. More of an “instrument owner” than a “player”, John has always allowed for my efforts to explain, even though my lingo was “novice”. ALWAYS professional and polite, John understood my needs and attended to them. My best interactions with others seem to not require “connecting” and have a “no navigation required” effortlessness(Such as with John Pederson). AND HE’S EXPERIENCED IN HIS CRAFT! You can trust me on that.
I celebrate decades of taking John’s talent and reliability for granted!!,

(Thanks John!)
Jon Pederson, terrific luthier.
Great local music store. Got my first guitar from their old store when I was 13. Comfortable layout and helpful service. Ask John to fix your violin or if you’re looking to take up Uke/banjo.
Superb spot for the hard to find string instrument or the impossible to find.

Best music store in the area. No matter what genre you play in.
Great friendly staff…will not steer you wrong.
Always good equipment selection & great customer service…!
Good place to consign music gear, they sold my Roland Guitar Synthesizer for a better price than expected.
Friendly and knowledgeable staff, relaxed atmosphere.
So, I’ve been in here twice since I’ve moved from East Bay to Rohnert Park last year. On both separate occasions the staff watches me like I’m going to steal every item in the store somehow. Very, very, very uncomfortable to look up and have every worker in the store staring at you from across the room, yet not one word of helpfulness or a ‘hi’ or anything. I wont be stepping foot in ‘this boy’s club again’.
They’d rather make $50 or so than lose a customer and get a negative feedback. Not sure that’s a winning business strategy in the long run, but best of luck.
