If you are looking for quality guitars and accessories, band and orchestra rentals, and or top notch music instruction, music royale is the place to go. Not only is the staff warm and knowledgeable, they are also very accommodating with instrument repairs, and competitive with their prices. I would recommend them above any large chain, and am happy to support this local business that enriches our community.
The office staff is friendly and professional, and the teachers are highly qualified and experienced. My wife is taking classical guitar lessons, and my son started piano under the Suzuki method when he was six years old (with me as the designated parent). It has been our experience that the instructors are quite competent at tailoring the lessons to the individual student, whether child or adult. For example, from the beginning, my son’s instructor supplemented the Suzuki material with regular sight-reading and basic theory-building activities, which has given him a solid musical foundation.
I’ve been taking lessons with Nick for several months now and he’s been a great teacher! He’s very patient and knowledgeable with a wealth of experience. He’s helped me become a better guitar player and a better musician overall. I would highly recommend him!

I bought a trumpet from PJLA Music a PHAETON Trumpet PHT-2040 Black Chrome Onyx plated finish with 24 K Gold Plated finger buttons, top/bottom caps & water keys. I have been playing trumpet for 40 years and I have never had a better horn then this. I got it and starting playing and it played freely and was open and the horn allowed me to do as i wished with it and truly went over the top with its performance.. Thank you for my Horn!
Interesting shops, very nice, posh. I usually visit DSW there. I plan on a dinner at Ruth Chris shortly. Couple other restaurants caught my attention as well.
Nice shopping local
Parking is horrible but some nice shops
Really really a nice place to be E-Z Parking
Plenty of great restaurants to choose from.
We ate at wok n Fire .the service was excellent..the food was horrible I didn’t even eat the Spring rolls tasted old ..two different music stations on loud.. the place was empty..dirty and flies flying around..if my daughter didn’t have to get back to her office we would have left..WHAT HAPPENED this place use to be awesome do not blame the covid for bad food and dirty..
This place is not really set up right at all. The parking lot is so confusing and convoluted which makes a busy place that much more congested. The most busy places in the shopping center are all jammed in the same area up near Higgins so good luck finding a parking spot on Friday or Saturday night. This place really should think about reconfiguring the parking situation to better accommodate the traffic and parking needs of the area.
Used to be great, all the good stores closed. Not really point in coming here now.

It is sad to hear Tumcelik moved his workshop to USA. Especially, his violins and violas were almost first choice of the musicians here. I am sure it will be the same for his new place…
I bought my violin back in 2018 from Ozgur Tumcelik. It has a wonderful sound and it responds so well to the me, allows me to play music how i want to hear it. I have been playing with it in solo, orchestral and chamber music concerts, it really fits well into any kind of sound you expect. He also changed my bow hairs and did repairs. He is a really kind and professional person, his work is precise and clean.
I brought my acoustic guitar into the Buffalo Grove, IL shop to have some bridge work done. Doug took a look at it right there and spent an hour diagnosing the problems with my guitar, ran many tests to isolate the problems, installed a new bridge and guitar sounds like it used to.
Doug’s work was outstanding, and the staff were friendly and responsive. They got a new customer for life.
When you get service like this you have to scream it from the mountain tops. I have been a musician for near twenty years including a short but fun stint with a touring band. Not really all that short but it felt too short for me. The point is that I walked into Sam Ash yesterday some what knowing what I want. However the staff who took care of me both in pro audio and guitars were both super knowledgeable but also were genuine people who made you feel heard but also provided me with the help that I needed without the under cutting tone that unfortunately many musician place have. Bottom line fantastic experience, and definitely my go-to. We’re able to meet all of my music needs. Even ones where I didn’t know by name what I was looking for could only describe what it does. They definitely made a loyal customer out of me.
Doug from the Buffalo Grove store was so knowledgeable, patient, and kind.
Superb experience!
Love the friendly cashiers. What I don’t like is the long wait for EVERY transaction….each time we are there it takes about 5-10 just to check out, and there is rarely a line…
Recently, my wife made a purchase/layaway which could’ve been disastrous for me. After making the deposit, she returned later only to discover that her purchase (my Christmas gift) had not been properly inventoried and they were out. Distraught and in tears, the manager remembered that they had one previously on display that was in-back. Not only did they salvage the purchase, but in addition, they gave her a stupid discount that was too good to believe. I’ve been shopping here for years, these guys were awesome. I will always shop here and recommend them for going above and beyond….at Christmas.
Great prices on new products since they have a policy of price match, however the behavior behind the scenes is not so great. the IT and check out takes way to long. all in all i do go here, but only if i have to get something new i cant find anywhere else.
High prices. One of the managers was rude and lied to me on purpose.
Some employees are nice like the guy in drums but others won’t even give me the time of day. I go in with my boyfriend all the time and they will talk to him but ignore the crap out of me. They kind of treat me like I fallow him and his friend around and don’t play anything. When in reality I play bass in a band and I’ve played a wind instrument for 9 years. Other than the guy in drums no one has ever asked me anything about music, what I played, or if I was looking to buy anything. I work in customer service and this is totally not how it should be done.
I am always getting Emails from Sam Ash to trade in used gear. I brought in a load of it and they were only interested in complete drum kits, not my 2 bass & 2 tom drums. They gave me $50 for a Pearl snare in new condition and $100 for a Yamaha mixer. I was completely low balled. The only good that came of it was they told me to sell my 60’s vintage mint Ludwig Supraphonic snare online because they could not give me even close to what it’s worth. Sam Ash is not a good place to bring used gear!

Great sandwich and the Banana shake was enjoyed for the ride home. Hits the spot. Wish I knew what they put in it!??
Great service great manager
Usually a great location. Went today and they are Closed Until Further Notice.
Clean place, live music played just loud enough to listen. My Mediterranean vegetarian sandwich was fresh and tasty. Tomato soup nice and hot too. Enjoyable casual dining experience.
Nice ambience, i like their grilled chicken Sandwich, veg options available too. They have half n half option too like – half sandwich with soup or mac n cheese or salad. Great for kids as they have special kids menu. The only thing i did not like is that they don’t provide great options for fillings in the sandwich.
Need to improve service, and Staff Service-mind…. Urgently
Sandwiches are decent. Customer service is bad/nonexistent. Twice now I’ve paid for my order and 2 big sandwiches and 2 bags of chips are left just sitting on the counter in front of me. When I asked for a bag they just put a small bag on top of my sandwiches for me to bag up. FU!
The food is good here but the employees are rude and have a lot of attitude . Particularly this girl with classes was upset while taking my order and had a lot of attitude. I don’t feel comfortable eating here with rude employees .
