New favorite music and guitar shop. The staff is all very helpful and John is such a sweetheart.
He helped me fix a small broken piece on my guitar for me and let me watch him do it.
Afterwards, he let me try out some of the guitars he had around the shop.
I was also extremely suprised to see how cheap the instruments are, price wise not quality wise.
So glad this place was recommended.
Friendly, helpful, had what I needed, and was open on a Sunday
Low quality gear that is way over priced.
wouldn’t give it even one star! I just went in to grab some guitar strings and was never once acknowledged the whole time I was there. Not even a greeting. needless to say I walked out. Not sure what the deal is in this town but I have yet to encounter any sort of professionalism with the businesses here!!!
2. PRESCOTT VALLEY MUSIC – PV MUSIC
Address: 8561 Florentine Rd suite a, Prescott Valley, AZ 86314 , Spring Valley , Arizona , United States
They were so helpful when I recently purchased a guitar, got accessories and music books. It was so nice to have people care about your success and give honest recommendations. My husband went with me and he was also impressed. They will be my future go to music store from now on. Julie S
These guys really take the time to make sure you don’t just walk away with an instrument, but understand it. Their work on refurbishing instruments is top of the line. Truly great people!
The staff and full knowledge, very helpful
I stopped by Prescott Valley Music looking for someone to repair my flute. Even though they specialize in guitar repair, he fixed my flute within minutes at no charge. I will definitely go back with my guitar needs.
Went there with a friend.
Sadly, and most regrettably, I must report that Russell, the proprietor of PVM, used his prior good business standing to consign, endorse, solicit, directly accept partial payment for, a fraudulently, utterly misrepresented $3k instrument, that is so INTENTIONALLY damaged (a 40” gong, sawn into THREE parts, then poorly soldered back together) that it is basically rendered useless as a musical instrument. He also personally/professionally arranged for its delivery and attested to the instrument’s ‘excellent’ condition (all in email and voicemails, still retained as evidence).
Initially responsive, and seemingly aghast, he and the seller he worked with, and as agent for, now decline to correspond or address this, each saying neither or the other is responsible.
A $3k scam?????
BEWARE!!
Don’t buy vinyl from them
I think all they sell is USED. Even patch cords. 🙁 Totally disgusting and disappointed.
3. Sam Ash Music Stores
Address: 4402 W Cactus Rd, Glendale, AZ 85304 , Spring Valley , Arizona , United States
We took a Hard to get restrung and he finished it really quick excellent service definitely going back there again
Love this place
Amazing place, with amazing people! Especially Becky! Awesome customer service and feedback!
The staff actually know about the gear they’re selling, unlike the competition!!
I’ve been in a few times, the staff has been fantastic.. very welcoming and helpful
The Store was very Friendly, and the salesperson was very helpful!
Sam Ash did not do anything to get my bass guitar from Ibanez in the time promised. All they had to do was call over and tell them to 2 day ship. Instead of my ship date being 1 week from time of purchase (standard), it was 7. The employees seemed dumbfounded by the long wait and kept saying sorry, maybe next week (over and over) instead of working for me and making it happen. They did not offer to throw-in a little something for my trouble, I had to ask. And it was nothing really. The employee Sam (who has been there for 7 months or so) said, “You know, we’re not making much off of you, so…” as his excuse for not trying to go above and beyond for this customer. He kept telling me about customers who have had to wait longer than I did, even when they spent $1,000 on a guitar. As though they deserve a trophy for that. I think that’s even worse that Sam Ash wouldn’t work hard for the person paying that much. But EQUALLY, customers should get what they paid for. I cried in the store when I finally picked it up, trying to explain things to Sam and the manager and they legit didn’t act like they cared about me at all. I left defeated, tears in my eyes, and angry. I will never purchase anything from here again.
Good luck getting any sort of help with the lack of associates they have on the floor. Ive been there at slow hours and peak hours and sadly, the wait time for any service is long. I would definitely NOT recommend their guitar repair services. The wait time is LONG and the luthier is rude. I called a few days after I left my guitar there, and he did not ask for my slip number, the make of my guitar, or even my name! He cut me off and just said it would be done in TWO weeks. I finally get the ok to pick it up and ot took 15 minutes of me standing around at the repair desk for any of their workers (one of which i was in front of but he had no tag or uniform so i thought he was a customer messing with a guitar). He gave me my guitar, dashed off to the register and charged me without mentioning any of the luthier notes or going through what I was being charged for. The quality of the repair was decent enough, but the uneasiness of having my guitar hostage for that long was definitely not cool.
They have decent equipment and their prices are on par with their competitors. Art and Eddie are amazing associates that have helped me in the past. They were knowledgeable, charismatic, and caring of my needs as a customer and guitarist. Sadly, it seems like they are the only 2 competent associates in this location. Skip unless its your only choice.
As a store this is a lovely place. The other departments were nice. But I have no clue what happened to the DRUM department.
They have close to 15 electric kits set out and today when I went in to test some of them out, I could not. They were all broken, not properly plugged in, or half set up. The only kit I went in there to play was the new Roland electric because I am actually considering getting one. It was plugged in ready to go set up and everything and yet I still couldn’t play it because it was on display on a large stage and the employee told me serious offers only. Guess he didn’t want the commission.
The acoustic kits were in bad shape, out of tune, and the only acoustic kit I was told we are allowed to play is in the sound proof cymbal room. Before I went in I was told to “keep it down”…(Drums?) I proceed to go in there to play and they didn’t even have decent pedals or cymbals on the kit anyway. Whomever is in charge of this department should no longer be. The drum department is in need of some tender love and care. Sam Ash used to be a musician haven to come in and try stuff out and make some purchases.
This is the first time I have been in years and it will be years before I ever go back. I am heartbroken and so very disappointed.
4. Redbox
Address: 19615 E Stagecoach Trail, Mayer, AZ 86333 , Spring Valley , Arizona , United States
The Music Store is the absolute best place for all your music needs. They have a wide range instruments, accessories, and gear at competitive prices. The owner sat with me and gave me his undivided attention when I recently purchased a guitar. He seemed truly interested in finding out exactly what I wanted in my new instrument. His knowledge of the guitar is remarkable and I’m beyond pleased with my purchase.
As an added bonus, Brenden, in the on-site repair shop, is an absolute wizard. He set up my affordable, starter guitar and made it sound like a million bucks, for little more than the price of the new strings! Don’t settle for less than the very best for your beloved instruments.
I bought a ukulele here. The staff were very helpful.
Came here to rent an instrument. Everyone was very friendly and I was walked through the entire renting process as it was my first time. For anyone looking to rent an instrument I would recommend coming here.
Fui una vez a ver las guitars
The instruments we have rental have been pretty worn but still work well and it is an OK deal for the price. Customer service is helpful and friendly. We have been pleased with our violin rental over this past year and will continue renting here into the next school year.
Great verify of sheet music and ukuleles and an awesome luthier.
Absolutely the worst service I’ve ever had, 3 people working and not one of them tried to help me whatsoever and 2 of them didn’t even acknowledge I was in the store! Very poor service
Discriminated against me for having a disability.
“Jp” the owner looked right at me and said “no” to giving me a 10% teacher discount for an $11 red label string. Thanks bud.
6. Brindley’s Music Center
Address: 836 N Arizona Ave, Chandler, AZ 85225 , Spring Valley , Arizona , United States
This is the best guitar shop in Arizona. No one other than Bruce himself will ever touch one of my guitars. I wouldn’t go anywhere else for any musical need and wouldn’t have to. If you don’t like Brindley’s then you’re an idiot. Jake is the man, Gabe is awesome and Bruce jr. Is also. Anyone says otherwise will have to answer to me.
This place is a Gem! I’ve had multiple guitars setup here and the quality is top notch. They take great care of your gear and get it sounding and looking amazing. Bruce Brindley, ( the owner), personally sets up the guitars and you can tell he puts as much care into them as if they were his own! If you’re thinking about getting your guitar setup at a big box store, don’t! Come here first! The staff is great and you can tell everyone working here loves music. I’ll be bringing any guitar I get here!
Very friendly ppl, sales guys not pushy at all.. Very patiently help you with your questions. Good deals on Craigslist every now n then
Good music store for those looking for something specific…not much to look at for those who want to look around or window shop (especially for drum equip). Other than that, it’s a good local music shop. They used to make their own brand of drumsticks, which were GREAT, but last time I went they said they no longer make them. Bummer!
Fix it for the most part. Still feels as if the instrument is leaking from somewhere on the lower register. Still hard to push low notes without struggle.
This place is cool. Ppl are nice. IN THE HOOD IM LIKE PRINCESS DIANNA!!!
-Ice Spice 687:927
After more then 10 months taking lessons a the place, and incident where the owner Bruce, disrespected my 11 year old for just looking at around the store just show what kind of service this place have. Extremely disappointed with Bruce, going back there no more. I’m sure there are other places with better costumer service.
My guitar teacher was the best, so sad situation here.
Expensive and poor service. took my beautiful holton Bb trumpet their to have the 2nd valve slide replaced. it is a standard mass produced turmpet, ans WAS worth about $650. it was beautiful with a sparkeling finish. they lost my order and it took 3 weeks when I called them to inquire about it. i was told $40 to fix the slide (found out later that part only cost $15) and it would take a week. they chem washed it, wich i said to not do and it RUINED my trumpet. it looks like crap, their is 3 dents in my bell where their weren’t any before and after i called at the 3 week point it still took another 2 for them to get around to fixing it. in the end, they ruined my finish, put the wroung part on, and dented my trumpet multiple times. O AND they expected me to pay $85 for it all. they chem washed it because they forgot to write down the repair needed and assumed it was a was, and they charged me for their mistake. Good at smooth talking but anyone can seem like they know what their saying. they were horrabile and unless you want to over pay and have your instrument ruined, dont go here. o and my sisted paid $1000 for a flute which was “new”…the saudering from when it was returned to them from the last owner broke in about a week and they repaired it wroung 3 times before they got it right where it broke again 3 days later.
First off, I want to be upfront, I intended to rent a bell kit form this store for my 5th grade daughter. I didn’t get that far, so I think it’s only fair to disclose, this review is entirely based on my first impression.
Friday I spoke to a woman on the phone who was very helpful. I ended up reserving the bell kit online to pick up at the store on Saturday. I’ll admit I never checked their closing time and I, unfortunately, arrived in their parking lot on Saturday at 5:03PM. They closed at 5:00PM. I have my very excited 5th grader in the car, so I thought, I’m not going to give up, yet. There were customers still exiting the store. I grabbed the door and went in as one of them exited. I went to the checkout counter where I explained my situation briefly to the man still checking customers out. He made it seem like it was something they could possibly do, until a woman walked up and immediately shut it down. She explained they could not check me out today and I would have to come back on Monday when they opened at 10:00AM. Again, I want to be clear, it was my fault for being late. They had already closed. I completely understand why they shouldn’t have to help me out, but they were clearly still checking people out, so the registers weren’t closed. All I’m saying is, how nice would that have been if they did help. It would have been a really nice gesture that could have gone a long way. I still have two more kids coming up behind my 5th grader that will most likely want to be in their 5th grade band, too. Plus, I’m a mom and mom’s talk. I would have definitely spread the word about a place that went out of their way to help me. It’s a shame. I’m all about supporting family owned businesses. They are usually the ones that make these types of exceptions for people.
7. Acoustic Vibes Music
Address: 2070 E Southern Ave, Tempe, AZ 85282 , Spring Valley , Arizona , United States
This is an awesome company who does custom work at your request. I could not be more pleased
Great service and great environment with a lot of inventory. I’m sure I’ll be back soon!
I had my 2008 Collings in to lower the string action and install K&K pickup. This guitar just sings with long beautiful sustain. Excellent work.
Best acoustic guitar selection I’ve seen
Best music store in the area to peruse some of the best acoustic instruments by selected boutique and mainstream builders. The stock is priced between $3 and $10k but the reward for spending more is finding the equivalent of a Steinway (beautiful tone, resonance and playability) in a steel or nylon string guitar. Cheaper instruments are available, but comparing them to the better ones is motivation to indulge yourself or reward yourself for hard work in getting better. Better sound makes you play at a higher level. Check this small store out!
High end guitars on an eclectic atmosphere with no pressure sales.
Good selection, but weird atmosphere and left me feeling unwelcome. One might think such a ‘high’ tier guitar store would offer a ‘high’ tier experience, but that wasn’t the case for me. When I first entered the building I was met by a few older customers and employees and got nothing but a sour face by everyone just by opening the door, no greeting, nothing- super awkward, everybody literally stopped talking to look at me with an irritated look, as if I had interrupted something. I then had to excuse myself past the small gathering of what looked like employees talking to customers that wouldn’t move just to get to the first guitar room. I then was greeted by a salesman who instead of letting me tell him what I’m looking for, proceeds to go into a shpeel on all the different Martin models, basically making me interrupt him to tell what I’m looking for. The salesman also told me HD28s don’t come with dot inlays yet here I am looking at older models with them all over the internet. There was nobody else browsing the store in the guitar sections. I was then told I could play guitars, but the adjacent rooms are used for things like Banjo, which made it so I couldn’t even hear the guitars I was trying to play because somebody was in there clawing away. I really don’t think I’ll be visiting again, regardless of the selection. I’ll spend thousands of dollars somewhere else that takes every customer seriously. I went to Milano music right after and was treated respectfully and seriously without hesitation, and I didn’t need to schedule a high-pressure sales pitch and waste an hour of my time.
Very unfortunate visit, coming in to try out and buy a steel string guitar. We were greeted with passive aggressiveness and a magazine thrown across the main entrance before entering the guitar room from the shop keeper, young guy. incredibly rude and 0 customer service.
Made the whole stay unpleasant.

8. Boogie Music
Address: 3562 W Cactus Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85029 , Spring Valley , Arizona , United States
I purchased a lightly used Maton TE808 Acoustic guitar from Boogie Music at a very fair price.
Frank, the salesman was very helpful and friendly.
I also talked a lot and dealt with the owner, Cliff. I saw a lot of other Google reviews on here giving Cliff some harsh criticism. I found Cliff to be straight to the point, honest, and firm. I guess by being that way, he is not some people’s cup of tea. However, I respect how hard it is to run a brick and mortar music shop these days with all the online competition. Cliff doesn’t beat around the bush. He tells it like it is, is very direct, fair, and firm. I can dig that.
I also dealt with Brent, the repair tech. Really nice guy and very helpful.
I had an issue with the pickup on the acoustic guitar I purchased, and after talking with cliff, I brought it back to get looked at. Cliff made it clear that the labor would be covered, but if parts needed to be replaced, that’s my responsibility. I agreed as that is fair.
It took Brent all of 5-10 mins fixing the simple issue: a simple screw was loose, creating a break in connectivity.
5 Stars for Boogie Music all around!!! I still love the guitar and am glad I stopped in!!!
Very helpful and knowledgeable. Great prices. We like supporting local neighborhood stores whenever possible.
Took my guitar here for set up, electronics repair, and other things. Got the guitar back in amazing time (less than a week), and for an amazing price. 10/10 will go back. They may be a smaller outlet than a big box store, but it’s well worth it. LOVE THIS PLACE!!!
I have been renting a flute from Boogie music for my daughter for 3 years now. DON’T believe the 100% return on all rental fees towards purchase of a new instrument! There are loopholes for them. Not 100% of the fee you pay a month is the rental fee, roughly 2/3 is. They also only will give you this credit if you are purchasing a higher end instrument. I will have to rent a flute from them for 8 years to pay for the 1000 dollar flute they will give me the credit on. They have a much cheaper flute on their websight, but say it is not American made and that one will not count towards the credit.
While they do have repair facilities and will fix anything broken, they have not done any maintenance or cleaning on this flute in 3 years and when asked if they would, I was told bring it in and they will check it out, but no maintenance is needed.
This flute has been fine for her in grade school, but I will need to pay for it almost all the way through high school to get the trade in they will do. Just be careful make sure your child wants to play an instrument forever before getting into the contract if you want to be able to get any trade in credit.
I just want to give smaller independent shops my business but selection is rather limited here. When I inquired about an item, they actually looked it up on the Sam Ash website and advised they can order it but 1) I’d have to wait until they do their next order, 2) it would cost more than at Sam Ash, Guitar Center, and Amazon and 3) I’d have to pay for shipping. Seriously, if that’s the way you can give me something you don’t have you’ve just GOT to know that’s a crappy deal for me. Just tell me to buy it elsewhere and that you hope you can help me with something else. They can’t seriously expect me to find that even remotely okay can they?
Good place limited selection
Worst music store in Phoenix! Old man that works there has a bad attitude and lies about guitar prices! Definitely not going back there ever again!
I agree with Reyna’s post. I received similar treatment when searching for a trombone for my son. The owner was condescending and rude. It felt like he did not want our business. I asked to see the instruments he had available for sale. His response was that the instruments were well into the thousands and that he recommended a rental. We asked to see the rentals and said he only had one to choose from. I asked if we could pull the trombone out of the case and he said absolutely not. He said we had to sign the contract before we could handle the instrument. I dont understand how we would be expected to buy an instrument without even touching it. I thanked the man for his time and left. I would not recommend this place to anyone!
They told me and my friend that we were in the wrong store!! How rude!
9. Music & Arts
Address: 5350 W Bell Rd #132, Glendale, AZ 85308 , Spring Valley , Arizona , United States
Great service! The have something for everyone. If you are shopping on a budget there are plenty of discounts.
Wonderful service! They also have things you can’t find at many other places.
Very nice store with all the necessities. We came in to grab supplies for my son’s school band and they had everything we needed. The customer service is great and they are very patient. They do get backed up at times so showing patience as well is a plus. We’ll be coming back for all our musical needs!
Jih ill
Great experience. I browsed myself, then asked for some advice and assistance. The newer employee was very knowledgeable and asked questions to pinpoint what I might be looking for. He made excellent suggestions and answered my range of questions. He even stooped his music language down to my level of understanding. Great deal on my purchase and I look forward to returning.
Thank you MUSIC & ARTS.
1 request, perhaps a searchable database of your inventory would assist in locating various items, rather than “browse to locate” with the customer.
We have not had a bad experience yet. Everyone is lovely.
HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE. My son left the bells at school over the summer. They wanted $250.00 in lost instrument fees and wouldn’t take the instrument back until the equipment was with it or the fees were paid. I explained that I am now out of state and have no contact with my son’s mom and have very little chance of getting the missing parts back but would try if they would accept it as is. They wouldn’t! They said if I tried to leave it, they would call the police. I left if anyway! I will never use this place or recommend them to anyone else and will make it a life mission to hurt their business.
I had very bad experience with this store, firat I have been a customer for more than three years, one time my credit card did not get through and they send me a letter in the mail I contacted them as soon as get the letter but they charged me a late fee!!!
Second each time I walk to this store I need to spend at least 30 minutes due to the staff shortage, one only employee there and she responsible for two registers and phone!!
Last time I went to exchange my daughter instrument it took more than one hour !! Again only one employee there and she said the system is slow and suggested twice to me to leave and come back!
Never come back here again.
Terrible
10. Milano Music
Address: 38 W Main St, Mesa, AZ 85201 , Spring Valley , Arizona , United States
Very good dining and the staff was warm and frienly
Milano Music is a totally awesome institution. I just recently had my Gibson set up there by their repair department, and now it plays beautifully. 10/10 would recommend getting any work on your instruments done by them. Shout out to Bob for doing such a great job on my guitar
Great variety of musical instruments and supplies and wonderful staff!
Selection quality is minimal. I havent been here in a little over 10 years.
Great prices and selection. Willing to special order as well. Good teachers for private lessons and activities to bring local community of musicians together.
I just delivered some instruments but they are very friendly over there
Social skills are lacking
This place is the worst
You and your wife are disparaging people, I can’t believe I listened to you story about your decision to make he you wife after a surfing trip. Man, I was right to think you would operate in bad faith
11. Guitar Center
Address: 1652 S Val Vista Dr Suite 118, Mesa, AZ 85204 , Spring Valley , Arizona , United States
Love guitar center if I need a pick or a snare drum they got it…
one of the best GC’s in the Phx Metro area
A lot of acoustic guitars are out of stock. But there are plenty of other things to look at and try.
Selection was great but nothing was in stock, even willing to drive to another location they did not have anything in stock.
They also inventory their display items which they don’t sell. Some of their employees didn’t know that and told me they had one in stock wasting a trip.
While I was there asking for a suggestion on snares they seemed bothered to even speak to me unless I knew exactly what I wanted.
Looking for equipment ideas and found the place at the right time. Great advice and help for a new project!
Don’t go here there’s a line outside and then the minimum of people inside is 20 people do to the coronavirusI’m writing this review just after I got out because this is absolutely absurd how much time you have to wait in line to get inside I had to wait at least 30 minutes to get inside with a line of people behind me and the heat outside was just unbearableanother thing is when we eventually got in there there was nothing in there nothing was for sale really every instrument was just cheap or used some of them were good but just that line outside really made this a terrible reviewdo not go to this guitar center this is a bad place to go other guitar centers will not make you wait outside
I use to buy everything I needed at Guitar center but not anymore, there labor day sale sucks told me that the Boss RC1 and other stuff I needed was not on sale .But it was on sale at Milano Music . I saved $35 at Milano Music today .That’s right Guitar center wanted $35 more than Milano Music today . I will be buying everything I need at Milano Music from now on .
Came into the store to purchase an amp and guitar I had tried the previous weekend, at no time was I approached and asked if I needed help. This was unlike the experience I had on the weekend were the sales associate helped answer questions about the guitars, features and even set me up in the sound proof room with an amp. I for real sat in the store for almost an hour and ended up leaving without purchasing anything. I tried to get the staffs attention by taking different guitar down and putting them back, usually they’re there before you can strike the first chord. I guess I should have walked over to the counter where they were congregated and asked for help.
12. Pilot Travel Center
Address: 14905 Cordes Lakes Rd, Cordes Lakes, AZ 86333 , Spring Valley , Arizona , United States
Great service. Very friendly. The small town feel is great.
Fast and friendly. Everythings for sale!
Not enough parking
Clean restrooms
Easy access. Parking lot for trucks and large RVs is pot holes and rough. I’m talking huge pot holes. Like break your axle size. Location has seen a lot of service. Friendly staff. Prices reasonable for the area.
This place has no shower
Exit 263 going south. Very very small store & parking lot, this place is not recommend at all. No parking, fuel lines a cluster disaster, women’s restroom flooded & closed. Only stop here if you absolutely have to. The good news is Loves has a new location there that will be open soon.
Tells their paying customers to leave with their service dogs in hot weather in the desert……these people out here need jesus.
13. Music & Arts
Address: 7040 E Hampton Ave, Mesa, AZ 85209 , Spring Valley , Arizona , United States
Nice store and friendly staff. Also good prices and decent selection. Got a good deal on guitar strings.
I’m new to the whole instrument thing.
One of my children wanted to start playing the Viola.
They helped every step of the way!
Super friendly staff every day we come for lessons.
I highly recommend this place.
Such a great place to get music supplies and take lessons! Robbie was my teacher for over a year and I learned so much about guitar over that period. The whole staff is so helpful and understanding and Esteban in particular always goes the extra mile.
Buena variedad de música
Great place to purchase or repair an instrument. Alwayd friendly and provides suggestions based on cost for anything the sale or service. Strongly recommend Music and Arts.
Very basic selection.
Spent my money elsewhere because of the masks requirement.
Went to the Music and Arts store today to purchase drumsticks and lessons. Couldn’t use my Canadian Credit card or American cash? Very disappointed
I don’t necessarily have a grievance with this store in particular but the company in general. When my children did not return in March due to COVID there was zero communication from the company as to what to do if we were currently renting from them. I called one day at the end of March to try and return the instrument and they said unless you can make it here by 5 pm tonight we are closing indefinitely due to Covid. They did not offer me any assistance or let me know there was a customer service line to call. I assumed this was a privately owned company. I tried calling today to see if I can return the instrument (we’ve been quarantined since March) and receive some sort of reimbursement due to the circumstances. The guy at the store told me there was a separate customer service number (oh NOW they tell me) that I would have to call to see if I can get a refund. I called and was told I should have called earlier to get my payments stopped and there was nothing they could do to get reimbursed for the months I have been paying for when I couldn’t return the instrument due to COVID and being quarantined. I don’t believe this is great customer service as almost every other company is offering Covid assistance and they will do nothing but keep my money.
Update- they just called me back and said if I return the instrument I could get half of my last months payment back. So I’ve been paying $27 a month for 4 months on an instrument that’s not even being used and they offer me roughly $13 dollars back. What a joke.
14. Zimm’s Guitars
Address: 1305 W Guadalupe Rd Ste E1, Mesa, AZ 85202 , Spring Valley , Arizona , United States
Dane is awesome. Super cool place to buy your next guitar, bass, amp, or pedal.
Check out his YouTube channel.
Great inventory with some really good prices.
Super cool store with a vast inventory, VERY resasonable pricing, and knowledgeable helpful service from and Dane and co. Got a great deal on a trade and Zimms just scored a customer for life. Thanks again Dane! ALSO check out there YouTube channel!!
The owner, Dane is a good friend. In fact we’ve played in a few bands together. Always has something I need or want, always willing to wheel and deal. But it is a business, know and expect like any other business he has overhead. Trust me this guy isn’t trying to make a killing. He’s fair and honest, some times. Takes a loss to help struggling musicians. I’ve bought or traded ALOT of gear with this guy, and will definitely be hanging out from time to time. Maybe doing a few set ups. Or cleaning guitars.
Excellent small guitar shop one of the best on town
Fun, friendly guitar shop.
Showed up right after 5:30pm and they were closed. Hours say open until 6pm.
Heard good things about them, but don’t advertise that you are open hours that you are not open, maybe I’ll change my rating for it when I go in there and they’re actually open when they say they are
15. Redbox

16. Mad Music
Address: 2100 S Gilbert Rd Ste. 20, Chandler, AZ 85286 , Spring Valley , Arizona , United States
Great Service. Wonderful people. Fixed up some issues with my guitar and got it working better than ever
I was so relieved when we went to rent an instrument here. Prices were more reasonable than other places. Customer service was above and beyond! They really do care about pleasing everyone in there. They were so busy but they still took the time to greet and acknowledge everyone who came in and still had patience with the customer they were helping. Coming here for everything from now on!
Excellent local shop for music gear. They have classrooms for lessons too, but we haven’t used them for lessons yet. Our son found a perfect Ukulele here, the owner spent over an hour helping him shop, try them out and educate him on the quality options. Husband wife owners are really cool and you don’t feel like a duufus checking stuff out like at guitar center.

Nice place, good people, I dropped in needing some bridge parts for one of my gutairs. The gentleman gave them to me free of charge!! Didn’t really have time to check out the shop, but I’ll be back for sure ..
.
This is one of those almost extinct mom and pop family owned music stores that caters to the true established working musician. Their accordion repair services are excellent, and internationally recognized as being top tier. Accordion player will drive for over 1000 miles from Mexico to have their instruments serviced and or repaired by Dionne, who was trained by Hohner factory employees. Dionne has a great electronics repair man, who takes the guitar amps, PAs, and other stuff home, repairs it and returns it to the shop. That man is her husband, Chuck. Chuck uses tools and diagnostic equipment most shops don’t even know about, let alone use. Her guitar repair guy is also very skilled too. This is NOT Guitar Center or Sam Ash, so don’t expect a wall full of instruments. This is a shop for people who play professionally, already own gear, and need to keep their gear running, so they can work. THIS IS A PROFESSIONAL PERFORMING MUSICIAN’S MUSIC STORE. IT IS ALSO DYING INSTITUTION. Ziggie’s exemplifies what music is all about. I see Mexican musicians who play Tejano musica, and other traditional Mexican style music, rock & roll musicians, C&W, pop, top 40s cover bands, etc. Ziggies also rents studio space for lessons, and there are several great people who give lessons. People show up, sit around and jam, chew the fat, look back on old times of days gone by in the Phoenix music scene. The Saturday Swap Meet is great, and happens the first Saturday of each month. If you have some gear to sell, or trade, bring it on over, at 8:00 or 9:00 AM, and see what happens. Summer is kind of the off season, but there are deals to be had. It’s all free, with no table rental space charges, or any of that nonsense. It is a community thing sponsored by Dionne, and the Ziggie’s family legacy, of being part of the community. This shop is a piece of Phoenix history, and it’s a true gem. You don’t stay in business for over 80 years, unless you are doing something right.
The perfectly imperfect music store with a hometown feel.
Very helpful the information what’s good
Was looking for a decent music store but this is not it. The place is dirty, and only carries used gear. The selection was very disappointing. Look elsewhere
literally 30 minutes b4 it was supposed to close me my mom and friend were trying to get in it was closed and we were looking in it was dirty that didn’t bother me it was just the fact there were no employees there 30 before close hours meaning it wasn’t we had just missed it meaning they had closed before hand
Store hours say 10 til 6 M thru S but they don’t follow them…..went by at 230 and no one showed up…..zero stars if I could
This store is amazing..no one can beat the customer service these employees provide…I love this team and this store..I feel like home when I shop here. The store manager goes above and beyond to ensure every customer gets what they need and more..thank you family dollar for this wonderful store and the team that runs it
Friendly have just about anything you need best prices in town
Good customer service
It’s not bad for a little town store. Wish they had produce but maybe that’s not a family dollar thing. Family Dollar is like a better version of Walgreens without the pharmacy.
They have just about everything that you need. The price is real good.
Some isles were blocked by displays so I couldn’t access them using my wheelchair. If they took out 1 isle, then the others could be widened. Making this store accessible by wheelchairs. I’ll go back, but only in an emergency! Clerk was very helpful and apologetic regarding access.
Rude customer service from one of the managers again! I’m done and not going back! Others shouldn’t either! Wait til the dollar general is built!
Do not take a senior or local shopping if you to want to shop as well.
I drove up from phoenix to take my elderly disabled mother shopping. While there, I picked out a few things for myself as well, including some bottled water. When at check out we were told that water is 1 per household, to which I replied we are different households. This was not enough, as they said we were together, and therefore could only have 1. I stated I live in Phoenix, and the very rude employee (unfortunately I do not have name) stated “Phoenix can worry about Phoenix” adding “there are plenty of family dollars there”…so now, during isolation, I will have to go to the store twice, because I was unable to shop while taking my elderly disabled mom.
If you want to shop here, go alone. You may want to help out a local disabled elderly person, however I would encourage you not to, as you would be punished.
Had the worst experience.
20. Arizona Music Pro
Address: 122 E Rte 66, Flagstaff, AZ 86001 , Spring Valley , Arizona , United States
I’ve just started learning the guitar and went in to get some help. Jack helped us out. He was friendly, had a sense of humor, and really knew his stuff.
Aspen and Jack were super knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly!
If you need strings, cables, or a new hobby, Arizona Music Pro is the place to go.
I’ve been in this store many times. Sometimes I found what I was looking for and some not. But I have never been treated with anything but concern for what I needed. “Just a suggestion to all folks that don’t like the way people look at them. Take a look in the mirror at what they see.”
なかなかの品揃えだがわざわざここで買い物することもない。
Thank you Neil!! This guy totally hooked up the hardware. Then actually took the time to explain to me, how to do it myself. Quality merch and inspiring customer service.
Just bought a ukelele from here with apparent buzzing after you play for a while. When going to see if it could be fixed or trade in, the manager looked at it and played it, and pretended he couldn’t hear the loud buzzing. While other customers in the store also said they could hear the obvious loud buzzing. And responded with “it sounds like a ukulele buddy” in a condescending tone. I’ve purchased multiple instruments from here with good service from the people, but I will no longer give a single penny to the store after this rude interaction of being sold a faulty instrument and then being talked to as if I was too unintelligent to understand the sound.
Not going to sugarcoat my experience!
As soon as I pulled into the parking lot, a man came out and asked me if I was going to be long! What? I literally just pulled in.
I said “oh, do you need me to move”?
He didn’t reply and stormed back into the store. So I walked into the store and asked him “is there a problem? Do you need me to move my vehicle” He said “as long as I’m coming in, that I was good”. I said “yea, I’m coming in” I was ready to make a purchase but the guy left a really bad taste in my mouth.
He had a bad attitude from the second I pulled in. So, I left!
Not a good experience at all!
I’m a “three strikes, you’re out” kind of person. And they went on for four.
In the past, I bought various instruments from them. Then later, I rented a cello and paid for a class.
The cello was not tuned at all so it was no good to me at home and I did not know how to tune one. I had trusted them. Not a good idea, one finds out rather quickly…
The class:
I show up early. A kid comes to tell me that the teacher, Brittany, is running late but should be here anytime. I ask him to please get someone to come and tune the cello so that it is not done on my watch and with the teacher running late). He never returns. Brittany does though 15 minutes late in a 30 minute class.
I was patient and assumed she would surely do teh 30 minute class as her tardiness was on her. She tells me we have 15 minutes. At that point, I recall feeling like she must be joking. She said she had another class to get to!
Hmmm…
Most of the dudes I have met there are not that friendly. They do not know how to treat customers. Their prices are WAY too high. They employ kids who clearly, couldn’t care less (and I’ve seen that on several ocassions). Their teachers are too busy to teach. Oh, and after all that, do they fix it or make it right? Of course not. Why would they, when they just keep on ‘winging it’ instead?
The owner never did follow up. His mistake. He lost a customer and my recommendation. I strongly encourage you to –think twice– if you actually value an enriching EXPERIENCE which music can be…
somewhere else.
