The aisles in the food portion of the store are narrow.
Quick trip in to get neccessities.
Best place in Oneonta to hangout. Too bad you can’t hangout
They were out of most everything that I was there to purchase. 50 lbs dog food. So I had to buy a smaller bag which will make me have to go back in about 3 days. Same with large box of dog treats. Out of the coffee that I use. Out of the frozen waffles that I use. Etc. You get the picture. There is a love hate relationship with this store. Clean, friendly, easy parking and access. Very limited on products choices and regularly out of items. This is the closest store to me. Which still takes 20 minutes to get there. So it’s not like I can just run by in a few days to see if it’s stocked. Would like to get everything that I need in one trip.
It was very crowded and completely under stocked for this holiday weekend. Couldn’t find usual purchases and was hot in the store. Walmart makes enough millions of customer dollars every day to turn on the A/C for their customers. We are going to find a different store to shop at next time. So many bad reviews, under stocked and rude personal shoppers take up this store. They don’t deserve the 1 star I gave them. I’m a very dissatisfied customer. Pretty sure they don’t care….
Last night I showed up at this location exactly at 10:50 PM. I let my daughter out at the front door and thankfully they let her in. However, they didn’t hesitate to rush her as she walked in! An employee immediately locked the front doors after she made it in to ensure no one else could and then turned the lights out at the entrance at 10:50 PM.
Outside, there were about 6+ employees just standing around, smoking, etc. My complaint is that you should not lock the doors at 10:50PM when you advertise that you close at 11PM. A lot of us drive a good distance to visit your store and don’t deserve to be locked out early before you officially close.
If you are going to lock people out early, then don’t advertise that you close at 11PM! Based on what I saw with the employees last night and not putting the customer first, I feel like upper management should look into this and the people that were on duty last night. Just for clarification, this was the night of 5/4/2023.
3. McDonald’s
Address: 431 Marietta Rd, Springville, AL 35146 , Springville , Alabama , United States
Very reliable McDonald’s. Consistently polite and great service. Food is always hot and fresh. We always stop here at least two times while visiting family in the area.
We stopped in on the way to Biloxi and the service is great and the food is even better! Quick and delicious!
As far of 10-18-2018,This McDonald’s has Improved. Cleaner Store, Friendlier Employees, and Better service. MyFamily&I Hope they KeepUp their HardWork.
Coffee with an extra shot of expresso is my twice a week pick me upper!! Most times it a good experiment. Employees are kind and welcoming!
They are trying. New worker’s are learning.
If you haven’t eaten at McDonald’s yet, there’s really nothing I can say to prepare you for this experience. Fast food with a capital F. They seem to be very popular, which says something about people’s concern about the quality of the food they eat.
Got two fish sandwiches and they were cold so I gave them back they made two more they were the same one’s the only thing they got right was correct Change gave back to me don’t go to this McDonalds they suck while I was there two other people came back to complain
It’s fast food, no good for you, however with that being said, it would be nice if they had someone that could actually work the cash register. I’m sure it’s hard to pay people more when they can’t do the simple things like math!
4. Redbox
Address: 160 Springville Station, Springville, AL 35146 , Springville , Alabama , United States
They were so kind and good communication about appointment. Very professional! I recommend the hot stone pedicure! They didn’t get angry that I didn’t get gel polish like a lot of nails places have done to me.
My wife had her nails done and loved them!! Fair prices and a happy wife. Thanks guys.
Have always received excellent service here ! Very relaxing atmosphere, always feel special and pampered !
I would recommend just give them a chance to prove how professional they are. You won’t be disappointed.
Great experience when service can be done, but just know that they stop servicing customers about an hour and fifteen minutes before the closing time that is listed online/on the door. So make any adjustments before making the trip.
Staff did a great job with my nails 🙂
I really wanted to like this place. The service is great, but the pedicure was not! My toe chipped the next day!! Then I was on vacation & the others chipped worse. Its been less than a wk & it doesn’t look good.
They made me move my truck because I went to the hair dresser first anyone that goes out of there way to disrespect a customer should be recognized I was going to surprise my girls and take them there I was a customer I just had not walked through the door yet
whenever we walked in the lady at the front desk wearing an alabama sweatshirt gave my friend the rudest nastiest face. we felt very unwelcome and she spoke to us as if we didn’t understand.
I’ve never met someone with such a rude face as the lady at the front desk
10. Homestead Hollow
Address: 1161 Murphrees Valley Rd, Springville, AL 35146 , Springville , Alabama , United States
Love going to this event every year. They have so many neat things to see and buy.
Fun arts and crafty fair. Food and old-fashioned farm stuff. It is open a few times a year.
Great place for families
Family friendly.
A great variety of arts and crafts. Great food too. Wonderful weather. Great memories with my family and friends.
Had a nice little market thing going on. Beautiful place
Not very handicapped friendly. Had a hard time pushing wheelchair down gravel path
Kinda boring this year. Vendors ran out of food, after waiting in long lines at two vendors an employee come out yo tell us they are out of main foods advertised. It was muddy, we waited to buy fresh ground meal and no one ever showed up to sell to us. Horse poop all over the ground. This is my first bad experience, We usually love it and buy lots from the vendors. This us the first time in years weve left empty handed.
Honestly we didn’t even go inside. We got there and was told it’d be $10 per person so for two adults and four kids it was going to cost us $60 just to get inside the place. I wasn’t aware they had an entrance fee or we wouldn’t have even wasted time driving there, none of the ads I saw said anything about an entrance fee especially a per person one. I was pretty excited to check it out for mother’s day but not for $60 just to get in to walk around.
11. Bailey Brothers Music Company
Address: 4673 US-280 Suite # 7, Birmingham, AL 35242 , Springville , Alabama , United States
always tough to leave this place without bringing something home. Great selection, awesome staff.
Purchased a Les Paul Bass here years ago– still enjoying it.
Thank you BB Music.
Excellent customer service and very friendly. They threatened me with a lot of respect. They gave me the best price I could possibly get. Thanks guys!!!!
Good selection of musical equipment. Be prepared because they strictly enforce the muzzle mandate inside. They make you wear masks.
Helpful and kind! Will be back to see them soon.
I needed to buy instruments for my Middle School kids. They were very upfront with their prices and seemed to have the best deals.
I explained to them thoroughly what I needed and they sold me the opposite! It all about sells and f**k the customers needs! Stay away from the southside location!
manager and owner very racist!
Don’t answer the phone
12. Guitars and More LLC Gardendale
Address: 1128 Main St, Gardendale, AL 35071 , Springville , Alabama , United States
Great place to get you’re guitar accessories with helpful staff
Awesome experience! Needed new strings on my banjo and they replace it quick!! Will be back again!
Wonderful service ! First time coming in today to buy reeds for my son who has started beginner band. They had just what I needed at good prices ! Staff knowledgeable to know what I needed. We will be back when we need more reeds and supplies. What a great store in Gardendale !
Nice small business. Very helpful.
Great inventory and excellent friendly service from a fellow named Ken. Very knowledgeable
Great local guitar store. Eric does a great job running this store.
The people are nice but the stuff you buy here is garbage.
I went in yesterday and asked about a Gretch open back banjo on the back wall that didn’t have a price tag. The reply I got from the bearded gent behind the counter was ” I don’t know, probably $300 or something”, and then he walked away like I didn’t exist. The vibe I got from him was “I dont want to help you. I won’t help you”. I buy a LOT of instruments and spend thousands of dollars per year on all sorts of music equipment, but this store has shown me that they don’t want my business and they aren’t interested in having any sort of customer care. I didn’t want to go to Guitar Center anymore, I would like to buy from a local store, but Guitars and More has discouraged me from doing any business with them. My advice to other customers is to go elsewhere. They don’t want your business and they don’t deserve your business.
13. Old Rock School
Address: Springville, AL 35146 , Springville , Alabama , United States
This is the worst company I’ve ever worked for. I stayed over 2/4 hours to help 3rd shift for about 2 months until they found someone and was terminated for so called stealing time when I was only doing what I was asked to do. My help was not appreciated at all.
Asphalt truck waiting 3hrs to get unloaded and no space got trash everywhere this place need to close the doors but the guy who unloaded me really felt bad for me
Too hot of a job they really need air conditioning if they want people to work 12 hour shifts in the heat
15. B&C Music
Address: 314C Billy B Dyar Blvd, Boaz, AL 35957 , Springville , Alabama , United States
I’m taking paino lessons with Miss A, everyone I have met here was very friendly
Been doing business here for 16 plus years awesome people very knowledgeable and easy to use they don’t ever pressure you in any direction great people and business
Small but very friendly music store.
Over priced. Only good if you need to grab a pack of strings or something small last minute.
Excellent locally owned and operated business!
Great little music shop. A good place to look for a starter instrument or replace an existing one.
The people are not friendly, the merchandise is overpriced, some equipment is not even new (and it is damaged) although they don’t disclose that information, and getting around in a wheelchair is next to impossible. The lady at the register didn’t know anything about the equipment. It is definitely worth the drive to go somewhere else.
I felt watched and rushed. Two women were working there that day, one was very friendly. I did not feel comfortable asking questions and also it was so hot in there.
this place is burnt!
16. La Cabanita
Address: 6468 US-11, Springville, AL 35146 , Springville , Alabama , United States
Just got done eating here and it was fantastic. My husband had steak tacos and I had chicken and rice topped with queso. The food was great and the service was very fast. We will definitely be back!
Great food every time! Always fast, friendly service. We love this place!
The best tamale I have had in years! The margaritas on the rocks were also very good. I enjoyed it better than any other Mexican restaurant that I have visited recently.
Great staff always checking to make sure you do not need anything.
Loved their guacamole (chunks) dip and watermelon margarita, would have like the cheese dip to be thicker but their chips were perfect
Pretty good food and excellent service
This is not authentic Mexican food. Worst food ever,Taco Bell is better. Laredo,Texas has the best authentic Mexican food, even the street vendors are better than this,I wouldn’t feed this to my dog.
Went twice last week and once this week. Working in the area. The last time was horrible. Terrible chips, there were stale ones mixed in with day olds. And they were cold. The meat wasn’t even spiced. It was bland. Service was bad, ran out of drink and never got refilled. Also, messed up my order.
Best strawberry margaritas ever, but worst food, how does that even work?!
17. Lisenby’s Music Shop
Address: 831 S Memorial Dr, Prattville, AL 36067 , Springville , Alabama , United States
Best music shop in town! So much here at the store. The owner, Lance, is a great guy, I get all my guitar gear from him. Recommend to any fellow musicians in Prattville.
Very knowledgeable. Excellent service.
Lance and Tracy are nice folks. They have a good selection of strings and accessories. Neat place for obscure instruments.
18. Jasper Music
Address: 52 N Walston Bridge Rd suite 104, Jasper, AL 35504 , Springville , Alabama , United States
Nicholas is an exceptionally versatile musician and is extremely dedicated to the musical progression of his students!
A+++. Fixes all my basses. Does everything electronically, changes strings, etc. Good work.
If you’re looking for a professional music service in Northwest Alabama, look no further. Nick is knowledgeable, professional and is a fantastic instructor. He has the uncanny ability to listen to, understand and then focus on the goals of you, the student.
I have also taken several instruments to Nick to be worked on, from a string change to a full set up on a new instrument. He has also repaired several that I’ve been a little rough with.
All in all, whether you’re looking for a lesson or just want to find a new piece of gear, this is the place to go!
The music store had the banjo strings I needed.
19. Dollar General
Address: 933 US-11, Trussville, AL 35173 , Springville , Alabama , United States
I love Dollar General the stores are amazing and the staff are so friendly and they go out of their way to help you I love my Dollar General these people are really precious to me!!!!!!
It’s always got what I need
Good prices on items that I use the most also its located close by
The aisles have so much junk in them you can’t
High cost than the brand of their name,I expected items to cost $1 but their price is multi-dollars.i prefer dollar tree
My right arm…
Hardly ever have what you need and cashier’s are away from register all the time
Worked here at the end of 2022 for a couple months. The two managers are always arguing. Both accused the other of stealing from the registers. They never clean the floors or the bathrooms. There are boxes and trash all over the place. When I asked for Christmas Eve off a week ahead of time, they said no. Three people quit during that week, leaving only me and the managers. I had also asked for new years eve off two weeks ahead of time, and they said yes. Then they told me I had to work anyways. I missed my last Christmas with my grandmother to keep this job. Then I found out they were paying me less than they said. About a week into the new year, my girlfriend sprained her ankle, and I called out to take her to the ER. The older lady manager, Anita, told me I couldn’t do that and would be fired if I did. So I got fired. I moved outside of the GM’s district to get hired at a much better Dollar General. They told me I can’t work at another DG again, I was blacklisted for quitting. I told them I was fired for calling out, and they said Anita put me in the system as quitting. Ive never quit a job without notice before. Do not shop here unless you want expired dusty food, broken or torn products, and terrible customer service.
They dont sell alcohol
