Stephanie has been working with me for a little over a year now. I started with piano lessons but quickly became more interested in voice. I wondered if it was possible for me to ever have a strong, dynamic singing voice because my ‘natural voice’ felt and sounded inconsistent and weak. Through meticulous exercises and an exploration of a variety of styles, I have discovered a voice I never thought I could have. Stephanie has a thorough, analytical, systematic approach to both learning piano and voice, and I highly recommend her!
Throughout the 7 years I have been studying with Stephanie, I would not be were I currently am. Her knowledge of music and effort towards her students make for an amazing vocal/piano coach!
Stephanie has worked with my son over 7 years and she is absolutely amazing! She has the knowledge and experience to for your child to reach for their musical goals. My son recently received only exceptional marks for his vocals at nationals and has qualified for nationals all 3 years. This wouldn’t have happened without Stephanie coaching him. Thank you Stephanie!
The staff goes above and beyond to assist their customers. Great shop!
The only place in town I could find cards against humanity. Great staff, awesome vibe.
Awesome shop!!!
This is a small gift shop with some nicely priced vinyl records, a small collection of comic books, gift items and lots of items with swear words. I personally could do without all the cuss words, but otherwise I liked it.
Great ppl, super friendly!! Best onesie prices in town and great place to get tickets for the Chief theater
Pricey. But nice selection
All That was a wholesale client of ours for years. After Kim bought the business, she refused to pay us over $1,200 in past due invoices for goods received. She will not even respond to our emails any more. It’s a shame as we had such a good relationship with the previous owner. It hurts a small business like ours in a big way and has caused tremendous stress on our end. PLEASE DO NOT SHOP HERE.
4. Smell That Bread Bakery
Address: 135 11th St, Steamboat Springs, CO 80487 , Steamboat Springs , Colorado , United States
This is everything a neighborhood bakery should be. Cozy atmosophere, genuinely friendly staff and delicious baked goods.
Such a fun place to go. We got there around 12 and they had sold out of a few things we wanted to try, however everything we had today was so good, we plan to go back in the morning!
The best croissant I’ve had outside Europe and that’s saying something as I’m always on the hunt. Love the small shop vibe and friendly stop. Don’t miss out on this off the main drag gem!
Delicious bread, nice gourmet sandwiches
Good pain au chocolate, nice and flakey. A little overdone. Might be better off flying to Paris and back for the price though, 6.50$ !!!
Bought two baked goods and a coffee for $12. Both baked goods were overdone and dry. The coffee was fine. Fun atmosphere though!
Edit. 75% of the time we are in Steamboat (multiple times a year), the store is closed during their normal business hours. Very seldom do I love croissants (have eaten great ones in France) or sourdough (enjoy once in a while). I consistently love the pastries and bread from Smell that Bread. The croissants, including ham and cheese are flaky. We ALWAYS load up when we come through Steamboat. Thankfully they are open during covid with a well run walk up/takeout window; service with a smile!
There hours are completely random and unpredictable
Sadly the owner is maybe one of the rudest people we have ever come across. No matter how good the product is, his attitude ruins it. Our daughter simply asked for a baguette with butter, you would have thought she asked to have the mountain moved. If you hate your job so much buddy, move on. Get over yourself
5. Off the Beaten Path Bookstore and Café
Address: 68 9th St, Steamboat Springs, CO 80487 , Steamboat Springs , Colorado , United States
A truly adorable & cozy little book shop to grab a coffee & find everything you may need and more! Love the vibes here, the girl at the front desk made some great recommendations as well.
Nice staff/ cute place!
Love that it’s a bookstore, but the coffee shop aspect did not blow my mind. Fine drinks and pastries, friendly staff.
Good coffee.
Attentive staff!
Good book selection!
Great bookstore,,
Had to toss away a muffin I bought
Rude about masks and sanitizer
Cute little bookstore but came here specifically for a pick me up. Got the Great Expectations and couldn’t have been more disappointed. I felt like Pip when he was jilted by Estella and Miss Havisham. It tasted like frothed milk with a slight hint of Earl Grey tea. I let it steep for some time hoping that it would improve but it did not. My girlfriend got a Mr. Darcy and it was rather underwhelming as well. I wanted to like this place but their drinks were a let down.
6. Boomerang Sports Exchange
Address: 1025 Lincoln Ave, Steamboat Springs, CO 80487 , Steamboat Springs , Colorado , United States
Lots of good bargains, clean store, and friendly staff
Such an asset to our community!
Found what we were looking for
When google asks you to review a used sporting goods store make sure you remember which one it is! Obviously I frequent places like this and boomerang is one of the better ones. Not a huge store but a good selection of goods covering the sports you want to do in the steamboat area. The stuff you’ll find here is generally higher quality than a lot of used sporting goods stores. Prices are generally very fair and sometimes a total deal and staff is helpful.
Sweet deals
Esta nice, agradable, hay variedad de cosas, y esta muy indie kid
Really? Average of 4+ stars? I broke my goggles and although I have extras at home (NYC), I didn’t have them with me.
So I bought a used pair here for $50+tax at the end of a day of skiing. The first day of use, the spongy gasket started to break apart, and by day’s end, it had mostly fallen off. I tore off what was left of it just to be able to keep using the googles, and got through that day, and then another. Then, when I tried using them back east, the frame cracked. Someone probably turned these in and got $5. In hindsight, they were probably in awful shape and someone glued them back together, cleaned them up and resold them for said price. To resell these for $50 is just incredibly dishonest.
I understand the principle of caveat emptor, but that just means that used goods are not going to be in great condition and may not last as long as new. But these were clearly damaged and cobbled back together to make them sale-able.
Charging over retail price for goods, no customer service, and unnecessarily rude – better to go to a store where customer support is valued and returns possible if goods don’t work.
Not as many goods options and expensive for Walmart brand items
7. Dusky Grouse Coffee
Address: 1585 Mid Valley Dr #4, Steamboat Springs, CO 80487 , Steamboat Springs , Colorado , United States
The hot chocolate and coffee are AMAZING! Just go and I am sure you will love it!
Cool atmosphere and great coffee
Best coffee in town. Homemade syrups. An owner who cares about the community and helping out local non profits.
Good coffee, nice staff, parking tight, but have more at the main road or out back
לא חם מספיק
It was simply OK. The Mud Wtr I ordered wasn’t fully mixed, it was pricey (my drink and in general), and they were out of most of the pastries. The vibes were chill and I like that they sell vinyl, but Id try one of the other coffee shops in town before I came back here.
got vanilla latte. Think they forgot the Milk and Vanilla. tasted like burnt coffee
Bummer- I’ve followed these guys on Instagram- looks fairly busy, heard good things-but the first time I went today and got a Mocha- it was gross- couldn’t even drink it- burnt? Old- just bad. I hope it was a fluke but not sure I am willing to try again. Too too bad. Barista made a comment about Starbucks- I felt good about supporting a local company but then when tasting the drink I wish I would have gone to Starbucks- also I did take the drink with me and did not taste it on site or I would have said something in person.
*** not looking for Starbucks:) drinkable would be good though *** will try again for sure and taste before leaving premises-
This place is fantastic except for the fact that they played disgusting music. I went in here with my little girl and they were playing such vulgar music with profanity I was completely appalled and left because my daughter was being exposed to such curse words. Disgusting I hope management reads this and knows you’ll never see me again in your location due to the fact that you allow your employees to play Such music
8. Walmart
Address: 1805 Central Park Dr, Steamboat Springs, CO 80487 , Steamboat Springs , Colorado , United States
Smaller version of a normal Walmart but still has all the basics you need in Steamboat
Walmart is always great!!
This walmart blows.
One of the sh**iest walmarts you can find, if I could give them no stars I would. Horrible customer service! if they can screw you over you can bet they will! They take broken returns, wrap them in tape and put them back on the shelf! Oh and half of the time the time their food is past expiration date. FYI NEVER purchase a firearm here, I have bought three and every one has had faults. Have fun !
As a Steamboat Local, I’m so disappointed with how poorly I’m treated at this Walmart. The customer service is so sporadic – sometimes, the employee is helpful, and other times (like today) the employees are so rude and disrespectful. It’s disappointing that there aren’t more options in our town – I would avoid this walmart, if I could.
9. Big Iron Coffee Co.
Address: 635 Lincoln Ave suite c, Steamboat Springs, CO 80487 , Steamboat Springs , Colorado , United States
We got a latte at Big Iron and it was quite good! There is a decent amount of space to sit in there and the environment is very chill but cozy to sit in. The barista working was very friendly.
Bowen is the best coffee guy in the business
Always enjoy stopping by this place when we’re in town. I like their drop coffee and my wife likes their chai.
Cute shop in Steamboat Springs. I like that they offer their own selection of roasted coffee. The baristas, and previous manager were friendly and visited with me while I waited for my coffee.
I ordered an iced americano, which is my usual. This shop pours their espresso shots over ice, which is okay, just not my preference. I find pouring the espresso into the water and then icing creates a smoother and more enjoyable drink. When training my staff, I usually have them make it both ways and taste the difference – it seems minuscule, but there really is a noticeable difference!
My mom ordered an iced mocha & they used a cocoa style powder. Not as sweet as some shops, which is welcomed. However, the powder leaves a residual taste/texture in your mouth that you don’t find when using a sauce. Not bad, just not great.
Overall, I’m glad we stopped in & tried out some local coffee. Their courtyard is also a very nice place to sit outside and enjoy your beverage.
Was looking for breakfast, and caught it out of the corner of our eye while walking down the main street. Good coffee, decent smoothie.
Nice little spot, open early
1/2 inch coffee, the rest foam and flavorless. The wait was very long and the cost was $8. Skip it and head another shop 🙁
Slowest service imaginable. If you want to wait 40 minutes for your coffee this is the place for you
Two small blended lates.. $17.24. Prices weren’t written on the menu.
10. Cloud 9 Integrated Systems
Address: 1328 13th St, Steamboat Springs, CO 80487 , Steamboat Springs , Colorado , United States
While there are so many amazing features, light sconces, control actions, music features, seamless control, My ultimate favorite part of our integrated home by Cloud 9 is the “All Off” lighting button as I leave my house!!
Very impressed after seeing the showroom at Cloud 9. It’s incredible how much automation and simplification they can do in your home. And the level of organization.
The quality people and knowledge at Cloud 9 are unmatched in the area. Detailed work with the best equipment available. Highly recommended!
Excelente lugar , alta tecnología
11. Beard & Braid
Address: 116 9th St, Steamboat Springs, CO 80487 , Steamboat Springs , Colorado , United States
Fabulous cortado and mimosa, plus a great space and great service. Salted chocolate chip cookie was absolutely perfect
Amazing coffee, the people who work here are top notch, the baked goods are yummy, this place is a local’s favorite.
Wow!
Great atmosphere, I love the drinks they offer and the employees. This place has some of the best iced tea in town and very delicious desserts. This is my favorite café in town but the only downside about this place is how early they close, I love this place but I’m not able to come very often as they’re usually closed by the time I am available. Besides that I definitely recommend this place to everyone!
A welcome new addition to downtown Steamboat Springs. The interior is well appointed, clean and airy. The service and coffee were both great. I just ordered a drip coffee, but there are plenty of other options available. They offer beer, wine, pastries and coffees. I hope this new spot is a long lasting shop. I will certainly stop in again.
Delicious pastries, amazing coffee, and beautiful people making it all happen. We loved this cute place, the only reason I couldn’t give a five star is because of the lack of vegan options. Hopefully next time we visit it’ll be part of the menu.
Never order their hot chocolate. I could literally have made Swiss miss at home and it would have been way better than this. Highly disappointed.
This place is the most white gentrified coffee shop I’ve ever been in. The walls are stark white, with a few little pieces of tacky art up, it lacks any character or charm. This place seems made for all of the remote workers in town.
Coffee excellent but the guy serving us was very rude two days in a row. Will not be going there again. I work hard for my money and will find a place where I feel respected.
12. Steamboat Smoke Shop
Address: 130 9th St SUITE E, Steamboat Springs, CO 80487 , Steamboat Springs , Colorado , United States
Ignore the bad reviews, this shop was awesome and the owner was very friendly and helpful. I broke my vape while on vacation and he hooked me up with an exact replacement
I don’t understand the bad reviews! I stopped going to a different shop that treated me horribly after multiple wonderful experiences at Steamboat Smoke Shop. I absolutely adore the man working here. he’s super friendly, has tons of patience while I look around like a kid in a candy shop, and has even taken photos of products I’ve purchased elsewhere to try to order them for me through his shop. best spot in town, by far!
Friendly helpful
I found old bead curtains, n looking for months. Owner really nice
Realized this is NOT a dispensary
Great location.. not so great store hours.. mostly closed every time I try and visit it.
This place never opens on time. Last time I was in there, was the last time. The guy cussed me out and I had to demand my debit card back.
Rarely open, rude to customers , doesnt answer the phone . Poopoo
The man running the store was very rude. Rang up a few items and I said oh sorry I need to take one thing off. He said you need to hurry up , I said you don’t need to be rude so he put all my stuff up and walked away refusing to wait on me. Will not give him a penny of my money
13. The Y-Not Shop, Steamboat Springs
Address: 111 9th St, Steamboat Springs, CO 80487 , Steamboat Springs , Colorado , United States
This store is for CBD and THC smoking accessories. Yummy CBD cigs…
Not a whole lot of selection, especially with vapes, but awesome shop.
Eric was great, open n friendly. Good products, tho not a huge variety, it was quality gear. I will be back.
He sat there talking to another customer about cartoons while I bad a look around. He finishes up, only to kick me out because I didn’t have an ID. A swift, “No ID? You’ve got to get out.” Steamboat smoke shop across the street is 20x better. Better staff, better selection and you don’t need an ID if you look older that 27!
It sucks bad service
I had the same problem with the china glass stuff. Plus I’m not too crazy about funding the Chinese mainland! BUY/SELL AMERICAN !
Went here three times. And the third will be my last. As an extractor I need a decent pen. I’ve had good luck with evolves and went to get one, got one, it worked for like 4 days. Came back and with no credit or anything towards a new pen, I upgraded and bought the plus. Not even 24 hours later the thing won’t even charge. So i drive 30 minutes to the shop and what do they say? No returns call the manufacturer. Wow… so i spent 10 extra bucks elsewhere and switched my loyalty to a different shop.
14. F M Light & Sons
Address: 830 Lincoln Ave, Steamboat Springs, CO 80487 , Steamboat Springs , Colorado , United States
For those who like Cowboy/Western theme, this is the place for you. There is a combination of various items for purchase here, as well as some items kids would enjoy.
Great
Great place to get Levi’s! Love the history!!!
Kinda pricey but great people
Not my type of store but it seemed like a good country clothing store
Kind of pricey, but a nice stop. A little touristy
“False advertising. The 7 dollar cowboy hats are only for children!” -the girl
Road signs litter the roads
15. Strings Music Festival
Address: Admin Office: No mail please, 900 Strings Rd, Steamboat Springs, CO 80487 , Steamboat Springs , Colorado , United States
An amazing venue for music… greast world-renowned entertainers and world-class musicians… FANTASTIC!!
Great intimate venue.
Great venue, people and activities.
Check out a concert, someone you know or try something new, you won’t be disappointed
Very nice place
Location, music and genres are all very good.
A beautiful venue . The acoustics were poor for the Wallflowers. We couldn’t understand a word of the song lyrics. The sidewalks and parking lot were a sheet of ice.
My husband slipped and fractured 2 ribs. What were you thinking?
Went to a show recently and it ended up being the most uncomfortable show I’ve ever been to. Mask were required which I was fine with yet drinks were kept to outside which is strange as we have all been eating at restaurants around town just fine. The staff were mostly being mask police and they made it very uncomfortable to enjoy the Keller Williams show. Multiple times they walked up to people watching the show where the mask had just slipped down some they were on top of them to pull up their mask. I sat in my seat, quietly with my mask on and after having staff consistently walk and up down to inspect masks I just left. I’m not an anti masker but this whole event seemed seriously over done for where we are at as a community on covid protocols.
16. P & B Shirts & Stuff
Address: 806 Lincoln Ave, Steamboat Springs, CO 80487 , Steamboat Springs , Colorado , United States
This is a GREAT store!! The prices and quality are unbeatable! And the owners are awesome!!
Wonderful store to pickup souvenir shirts, hats, hoodies and even Steamboat posters. We always stop here when we visit to see the fun new prints. Locally owned store that has been here for decades. Fair prices and great service!
Great customer service and friendly staff. The music was at an appropriate level and prices were good too. I highly recommend this store for shirts in the Steamboat area.
17. Redbox
Address: 80 Anglers Dr, Steamboat Springs, CO 80487 , Steamboat Springs , Colorado , United States
Fun candy shop with fresh icecream, novelties, candy, and handmade chocolates.
Great little candy shop with ice cream served as well. Can’t go wrong with some dipping dots during a hot day! Great customer service as well
Fun little candyshop and ice cream parlor.
Fun little candy shop, they have ice cream and dip’in dots too
Very helpful lady explained a lot about different kinds of chocolates, and helped us find just old-school candy we were looking for! Plus fancy white “chocolate” dipped milk bones that my lucky dog has been loving!
Candy store with traditional candies
Very confusing but I’m also not from here. Cool store though
My daughter sneezed during covid and when I asked at the door for a tissue or anything to wipe her nose the employee said they didn’t have anything and we should walk to the bookstore. We came back to get candy and saw that there were napkins all over the store. They laughed (at the Karen) and stated that they must not have heard me. The adult in the back came out and supported them and stated that I should have just grabbed a napkin if I needed one.
A simple human gesture, hand someone a napkin when they need it.
Wish I could give less than one star. Unfortunately these power hungry hobgoblins decided to harp on the fact that my 9 and 10 year olds didn’t have a mask in late August of the “COVID” plandemic. They lost our business but from what I have read of other reviews they are smug jerks anyway. No loss for us, Rocky Mountain Chocolate company took care of us well.
20. Emerald
Address: 700 Yampa St UNIT A105, Steamboat Springs, CO 80487 , Steamboat Springs , Colorado , United States
Beautiful cappuccino and very kind owner and staff. I will certainly be returning on my next visit to Steamboat! Very high quality drinks and service. Every aspect of the place is 5 star!
Parking: Excellent location just off the main drag, good parking right in front of the shop.
Kid-friendliness: Relaxed open atmosphere with couches and tables would be a nice place to sit with your children to enjoy reading or a game.
A fantastic coffee shop with a cool evening vibe during summer and winter season. Cocktails in the evenings with charcuterie and cheeseboards.
But the best thing other than the phenomenal Organic coffee is the commitment to providing delicious GF options, all fruit (and some veg) smoothies and a commitment to completely unprocessed foods. Delightful and a new addiction!
Awesome coffee and the soup of the day was delicious! I highly recommend this place.
Vegetarian options: several options on the menu.
Showed up at 7:30 a.m. but their hours haven’t been posted correctly online and they’re open at 8:00 a.m. that would be my only gripe as the coffee tasted delicious and the people were friendly. Good atmosphere as well. I only give a five star for latte art.
I would definitely come back.
Fun place to hang out, board games available to play while your enjoying your food. Coffee was well prepared. Lots of healthy options.
Coffee was mediocre. Waited 20 minutes for a scone and the wrong scone was brought out. Waited another 10 minutes for the correct scone. When it eventually came out, it was extremely dry and chewy. I understand that I was busy but the quality was not worth the wait.
Sandwich was extremely overpriced and very underwhelming. Very small for the price, the chi is very weak and flavorless, the food took an extremely long time to come out and we eventually left before we got our whole order. Many other coffee shops in town with much better prices and products. Very disappointed, won’t be going back again
Terrible weak and muddy espresso drink, very expensive, and took forever. Unfortunately ended up throwing it away. The baristas were very nice, but didn’t seem to know what they were doing, maybe they were new? Weren’t confident they could redo it better. Cannot recommend based on our experience.
